Speaker 1:

In a world where everything is unscripted. This is Roasty Toasty Ghost.

Speaker 2:

Can you look behind you in one of those little drawers? Can you get a AAA battery? You know which one that is.

Speaker 1:

The small one. Yeah, I know where it is.

Speaker 2:

No, that's not even me trying to make you feel stupid.

Speaker 1:

No. Some people actually don't know what a AAA battery is for some reason, and I don't understand why. No, it's okay.

Speaker 2:

Why do people not know what a AAA and a AA is Like? Why I?

Speaker 1:

don't know, I know.

Speaker 2:

Why don't people know these things? It's obvious, like I don't know, I know. Why don't people know these things? It's obvious Like it's so simple. Yeah, and these kind of things bother me.

Speaker 1:

Yes.

Speaker 2:

They upset me. I don't like it.

Speaker 1:

No, AAA. Is that like if you get a breakdown or something I mean with a car?

Speaker 2:

There's a AAA service, yeah, yes. And AA, that's alcoholics, that is alcoholics, anonymous. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, it's true, you are right.

Speaker 1:

And that's the episode. Hello and welcome to Roasty Toasty Ghosty.

Speaker 2:

Hello.

Speaker 1:

My name is Matthias.

Speaker 2:

And I'm Lauren.

Speaker 1:

Yes, you are yes, yeah.

Speaker 2:

Was that it?

Speaker 1:

Yeah, now we've started.

Speaker 2:

Okay, awesome, right, did you start.

Speaker 1:

I did.

Speaker 2:

Okay, that sounds like we're starting yeah.

Speaker 1:

Okay, so today we're gonna have like a Jackie Chan theme. Jackie Chan- theme Okay. Yes, I decided You've got this all figured out Kind of Awesome. We can still do the week if you want to.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I guess we could.

Speaker 1:

Because I mean I have like three segments about Jackie.

Speaker 2:

Okay, did you want to tell me about your week?

Speaker 1:

I never have interesting weeks. I had a pretty bad start yesterday.

Speaker 2:

Thursday.

Speaker 1:

I didn't feel too well. My stomach was very weird and my whole body was kind of hurting aching. But it got better and today I'm better and I'm so glad for that, since it's a special weekend.

Speaker 2:

It is.

Speaker 1:

Very special.

Speaker 2:

What's happening this weekend then?

Speaker 1:

We are going to have a Jackie Chan-themed weekend as well, and we're going to have the live Mad Libs.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, we're going to play some games and watch some documentaries.

Speaker 2:

And we spent today listening to Jackie Chan's music.

Speaker 1:

Yes, we did Very fun.

Speaker 2:

It was fun.

Speaker 1:

I liked it.

Speaker 2:

I'm glad you did.

Speaker 1:

Although I don't think any of us understood very well what they were singing about.

Speaker 2:

No, but it sounds nice anyway.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I mean, I only listen for the melody anyway. So yeah, Do you have anything to say about your week?

Speaker 2:

Last weekend I finished up cleaning out the yard so I could, you know, plant stuff in the spring.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

And then today it snowed. I was going to get blueberries to plant in the yard and set up the flower area and it snowed, so I don't think I'm doing any of that this weekend.

Speaker 1:

No, no, it's not funny.

Speaker 2:

It's kind of sad.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I'm not laughing. That was me crying.

Speaker 2:

It looked really nice, and then it got really windy throughout the week, so we have chairs that have fallen from where they're supposed to be Fallen chairs. And like cushions are in the raspberry bushes and the trampoline blew into the gazebo and it's just, it's a problem. And then it snowed, yep.

Speaker 1:

So here we are.

Speaker 2:

Awesome weather.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, it's not great, no it's awesome, it could a problem, and then it snowed, yep.

Speaker 2:

So here we are Awesome weather. Yeah, it's not great.

Speaker 1:

No, it's awesome.

Speaker 2:

It could be better, could be more awesome. When is winter going to end?

Speaker 1:

I don't know. I would say, maybe next month.

Speaker 2:

Okay.

Speaker 1:

Because April is one of those, you know. You really don't know Whether or not it's going to be good weather or not.

Speaker 2:

Right, it makes sense If you think about it.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Sick child got glasses. He's adorable.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

I love his face so cute. He doesn't like to wear them though.

Speaker 1:

No, he doesn't.

Speaker 2:

And they're a little bit big on him.

Speaker 1:

A little bit big on him. A little bit big on him.

Speaker 2:

A little bit big on him. A little bit big on him. This is just how I talk. You're going to make fun of me the whole time.

Speaker 1:

Of course.

Speaker 2:

Okay and yeah, that's all I think that I had to share.

Speaker 1:

Okay, very nice, thank you, you're welcome. Okay, so Transition Transition, transition Is that the transition music. Yeah, from now on.

Speaker 2:

Beatbox for me.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Thank you.

Speaker 1:

You're welcome.

Speaker 2:

And then today is Friday. Yes, it's April 5th. Fifth, can you say that word? Fifth, okay, it's better than me.

Speaker 1:

Yay 2024. Mm-hmm.

Speaker 2:

That's the year and we watched movies.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

So would you like to movie on?

Speaker 1:

Yeah, let's movie on.

Speaker 2:

Let's do that.

Speaker 1:

Oh yeah, we didn't even mention the movie day we had. On Monday we had a movie day and we watched Cannonball Runner.

Speaker 2:

We had a movie day and we watched Cannonball Runner.

Speaker 1:

Cannonball Run.

Speaker 2:

And Cannonball Run 2. And we also watched one more movie yeah, hold on, hold on, hop. Yeah, that was it Really quickly. The movies were very funny. Yeah, at least the Cannonball Run movies were really funny. At least the Cannonball Run movies were really funny. They had a bunch of older. Well, to us now actors.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

A lot of them. I had heard their names but never actually seen them in any movies. So it was a fun experience. Yeah, and Jackie Chan was in them and he was very funny as well.

Speaker 1:

Yes.

Speaker 2:

Hop was an animated Easter movie, which was also pretty good.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I enjoyed that one too. Yeah, it was like a Christmas movie, but about Easter.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, and it was also good. Yeah, do we have to add anything more?

Speaker 1:

No, Cool, I liked all three movies.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, they were all good.

Speaker 1:

Hmm, okay, now we can continue with.

Speaker 2:

Tonight we watched who Am I and Disenchanted.

Speaker 1:

True. Yeah, I have to confirm or deny if what you're saying is true or false.

Speaker 2:

That's correct.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, and it's true.

Speaker 2:

Thank you.

Speaker 1:

Everything you're saying is true. Not everything, but probably, but right now it was.

Speaker 2:

Okay, I'm going to tell you about who Am I.

Speaker 1:

Yes.

Speaker 2:

In this movie there is Jackie Chan. You're going to be extremely disappointed. I'm going to just warn you right now. Okay, so Jackie falls from the sky and loses his memory and then he becomes a native African. They're in Africa. He becomes a native in Africa and does native people things, but he doesn't know who he is. So his name turns into who am I? Who am I, hello, who am I? And they say things like that. And then Jackie finds some people and saves someone's brother and they take him somewhere else and he's trying to figure out who he is and find his identity and people who might know him, and no one is helpful no no one really wants to tell him who he is, because I guess he was a part of something that maybe wasn't good yeah, like a um science experiment.

Speaker 1:

Special ops. That's highly classified, you know, yeah, so no one gets to know about it, and that's why he doesn't get to know who he is, since he was part of it.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, kind of. And there's bad guys who won't tell him who he is and he beats them up Because they won't tell him who he is and he beats them up Because they won't tell him who he is. Tell me, tell me. That was an exact quote. And he just gave away the movie.

Speaker 1:

Oh, I'm sorry, Spoiler alert yeah.

Speaker 2:

And he beats them up, but I don't think he ever actually finds out who he is, so inconclusive.

Speaker 1:

Spoiler alert.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

No, he doesn't find out who he is, so inconclusive spoiler alert yeah, no, um no, he doesn't find out who he is. But the girl says that he will get his identification everything about him at the end when they're on the bridge. So he's gonna get to know who he is all right we. We don't see it.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, all right Cool.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, so we explained the ending.

Speaker 2:

That's the entire movie for you.

Speaker 1:

You don't have to see it.

Speaker 2:

No, you don't, you can, only you could watch it, if you want to Ask me.

Speaker 1:

I recommend you to see it, okay, anyways, because it's a fun ride, according to me.

Speaker 2:

Now I want to hear what you thought about the movie. I liked it. It was a fun movie.

Speaker 1:

I really enjoyed it. It's not my top.

Speaker 2:

Okay, it's okay ever no, so that's how I feel about the movie, and go ahead your turn this is such a great jackie chan movie.

Speaker 1:

I think it's definitely one of my favorites of his and I have always loved this movie. I think it has like everything I want in a movie it has action, it has comedy, it has suspense and I like you know, it has mystery too. Well, kind of More mystery than other Jackie Chan movies, and he is very creative in this movie and that's what I love. He's almost like MacGyver and, yeah, I really like that Great movie.

Speaker 2:

Can I add to the amazing things that this movie has?

Speaker 1:

Yeah, please.

Speaker 2:

It has the stunts.

Speaker 1:

Oh yes.

Speaker 2:

A big stunt.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

And like classic Jackie fighting.

Speaker 1:

Oh yeah.

Speaker 2:

And a fun song Go Along With it yeah by Jackie. Yeah, so yeah.

Speaker 1:

I love the end fight. Oh, I love almost. Yeah, I love the end fight.

Speaker 2:

Oh, I love almost.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I love the bloopers Really great bloopers in this movie. The fight scenes in this movie I think I love all of them. I love the one on the rooftop at the end. It's great. So long and awesome and I like the tall guy who had his leg straight up.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

I don't even know how you can do that, but yeah, that was cool.

Speaker 2:

And Guy does that in City Hunter too.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, but I saw this one before City Hunter so I liked the chair fight where he was interrogated and after that he got into a fight, handcuffed, and he was fightingated and after that he got into a fight, handcuffed, and he was fighting with chairs. So you have to watch that. Watch the movie people um, and the shoe fights awesome um with the wooden shoes. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I.

Speaker 2:

I think that one was my favorite.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, so, funny.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Especially at the end, when he's about to run away and then he just no, I have to go back and stomp on that guy's leg. It's a fun one. Yeah, so that's your favorite Good. Yeah, it's a good one. I was going to say you were talking about New Police Story. Yeah, it's a good one. I was gonna say you were talking about New Police.

Speaker 2:

Story yeah.

Speaker 1:

It's the same director as this one. Oh, and Rob B Hood also. Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Very cool.

Speaker 1:

I think that director is one of Jackie's best. I think the three they made together are some of his better movies. Okay, next movie is Disenchanted. Okay, this movie is a continuation from the first one, enchanted. But it takes place like what? 10 years after, maybe, eight, ten, ten?

Speaker 2:

ten, ten, ten.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, a few years after. In this one, Giselle makes a wish that the real world is going to be more cartoony or like a fairy tale that wish backfires, kind of. I would say that's good. Yeah, it's a fun movie. It's a good continuation. I think it's a nice direction to take this story Also focus more on the stepdaughter. It's fun. I think it has even more songs than the first one. Right, yeah, the first one right.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, the movie stars Amy Adams and Patrick Dempsey, idina Menzel and James Marston and Maya Rudolph. Yay, yeah, and other people too. I don't know who the stepdaughter is the actress. I don't know.

Speaker 2:

Me neither.

Speaker 1:

She was good too. It's not the same actress, though, as in the first movie.

Speaker 2:

No.

Speaker 1:

That's a little sad. Still good, I had a good time. I watched the movie without any fault.

Speaker 2:

I mean, yeah, this was also a good movie. I especially enjoyed the references to the other princess movies or really just Disney movies in general, not just princesses. I like Maya Rudolph. I think she's funny. Yeah, I mean it was a really good movie. It was another really good movie.

Speaker 1:

Can you tell me some of the references, by the way?

Speaker 2:

They sang Be Our Guest. In one of the lines of the song.

Speaker 1:

Yes, and that's a reference to.

Speaker 2:

Beauty and the Beast.

Speaker 1:

Yes.

Speaker 2:

And then one of the characters laid down in some kind of wagon or something and pushed herself up like Ariel in the Little Mermaid. And there was water that splashed behind her Out of nowhere. There was no water.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

But there was water behind her.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, it was funny.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, there was a group of characters singing and there were leaves blowing around them, which was Pocahontas, and they had the three fairies which were from sleeping beauty. And then the teenager daughter changed her dress and did the arm thing like cinderella. Okay, magic transformation like cinderella yeah and there were a lot of cinderella references yeah, what was she singing?

Speaker 1:

Let it.

Speaker 2:

Oh, yeah, what's her name? Elsa.

Speaker 1:

Idina Mansal.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, she was singing lines that were similar to Let it Go, but instead of go she said like glow. And there was another one. Yeah, Grow I think, which was pretty funny. What year was this?

Speaker 1:

2022.

Speaker 2:

All right, that makes sense. I'm not sure I caught any Aladdin, though.

Speaker 1:

No, I mean there were more Beauty and the Beast with the talking.

Speaker 2:

Oh kitchen appliances yeah. But there was mentions of, like the beanstalk, that one. There was another one, I don't remember no, oh well, yeah that was another one, I don't remember no. No oh well, yeah, that was about as much as I could do.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, good, and you really like this movie too. I do Good.

Speaker 2:

Do you?

Speaker 1:

Yes.

Speaker 2:

Good, can we be happy now?

Speaker 1:

Yes.

Speaker 2:

All right, are you happy enough to be capable of taking a break? A break, we'll see All right.

Speaker 1:

So what is it based off of? What the break? Yeah, your willingness to take a break, oh, okay, yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 2:

Are you satisfied? Yes, okay.

Speaker 1:

That's what it's based off of.

Speaker 2:

Okay, are you satisfied enough to take a break?

Speaker 1:

Yes.

Speaker 2:

All right, let's do that then.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, we'll take a break and we'll be back, but I hopefully won't break my back.

Speaker 2:

That would be great All right, we'll be right back.

Speaker 1:

Yes, goodbye, bye-bye, hello and welcome back. Hello and welcome back.

Speaker 2:

Hello and welcome back.

Speaker 1:

Again.

Speaker 2:

Again. Since I already said that yeah, well, I'm going to say it right after Half an hour ago. I'm going to say it right after you say it.

Speaker 1:

Okay.

Speaker 2:

So I can feel like I'm also a part of this. Okay, matias.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

I'm going to move this thing along, okay, as it is soon jackie chan's birthday and we have unfortunately watched our last jackie chan movie yeah it's a very sad day. So to conclude our Jackie, jackie, what Phase.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, era.

Speaker 2:

Era, because it's been like a year since we've started watching.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, over a year.

Speaker 2:

Over a year now, so I have compiled a list of my top 10 favorite Jackie Chan movies, and it's tearing me up inside because I couldn't squeeze all of the ones I like into 10.

Speaker 1:

No, it is difficult.

Speaker 2:

But you also made a list.

Speaker 1:

Yes, I made one list with top 10 and also bottom 5.

Speaker 2:

Okay, I want you to read your top 10 first, so that I can copy off you.

Speaker 1:

No, and that's why you are going to read your list first.

Speaker 2:

Okay, fine, but don't get upset with anything I pick.

Speaker 1:

Of course not.

Speaker 2:

Anything.

Speaker 1:

No.

Speaker 2:

And I'm going to go from the bottom up. I'm going to start off with the movies that didn't quite make it into 10, but I still like them a lot.

Speaker 1:

Yes.

Speaker 2:

And my list consists of movies that have affected me or that I remember very well or have watched several times.

Speaker 1:

Yes.

Speaker 2:

So my honorable mentions that I'm really upset didn't make it into my list.

Speaker 1:

No.

Speaker 2:

First, it's Little Big Soldier. I really liked that one, the Spy Next Door, which was the first one that you gave to me, but unfortunately it was just at the very bottom.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

So it didn't quite make it. There were several others that made a bigger impact somehow, which is saying a lot, and the last honorable mention I wanted to throw out there was who Am I? Because it really did round up the best of Jackie and it was really good.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

So if I could have added just a few more to my 10, they would have made it Okay, starting from the bottom of my actual top 10. Number 10 is Heart of Dragon.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, it just really made me sad.

Speaker 2:

It is very. It was a Dragon, yeah, it, just it really. It really made me sad. It is a very it was a feelings movie.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, emotional movie and yes, it does have heart.

Speaker 2:

And dragons? Yeah, except there were no dragons.

Speaker 1:

Pun intended, but it has heart and it is a nice movie, even though they use a less than nice word quite a few times, but I understand, it's a good movie.

Speaker 2:

It is Number nine is New Police Story.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I really like that one. It's a good one, number eight, shanghai Noon.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Very funny Seven. I thought was a classic Drunken Master. Oh yeah, yeah, very funny, very Seven.

Speaker 1:

I thought was a classic.

Speaker 2:

Drunken Master. Oh yeah, Also made me laugh. I enjoyed that one. Number six, Mr Nice Guy. I re-watched that one. I liked the ending with the giant bulldozer.

Speaker 1:

Oh yeah.

Speaker 2:

Running everything over. Yeah, it was a fun scene. Five Around the World in 80 Days Definitely a favorite. Yeah, very funny.

Speaker 1:

Very funny.

Speaker 2:

Seen it several times.

Speaker 1:

Me too.

Speaker 2:

Number four is Ride On. Oh, that one is special to me because we both watched it, you know, for the first time together.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

We also watched it in Strike.

Speaker 1:

Yes.

Speaker 2:

But I think I liked Ride On more. Okay, there was also a horse.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, we also watched it in Strike, yes, but I think I liked Ride On more.

Speaker 2:

Okay, there was also a horse, yeah, so that one's special. Another special one, number three, is Rush Hour, because it was the first Jackie movie I ever watched and I loved the movie since the first time I saw it. I've seen it a million times yeah it was one of the movies that I watched on repeat as a kid yeah so yeah, that one is special. Number two is crime story oh really yeah, oh, I really like the movie, matias. I really like the movie and I love the video that you made.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, okay, yes, which makes the movie better.

Speaker 2:

Yes, it makes me emotional.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Every time I watch it.

Speaker 1:

Hmm.

Speaker 2:

It means a lot, it does Good and number one I wonder what it is.

Speaker 1:

1911 Revolution.

Speaker 2:

Yay, your favorite, I think. Yeah, yeah, I think that's it okay. No, uh, city hunter, I'm gonna say, is my absolute favorite movie ever. It's funny yeah it's stupid but it makes me happy and I like the song city hunter.

Speaker 1:

It is a really stupid movie.

Speaker 2:

But I love it.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, stupid movies are fun.

Speaker 2:

I've fallen asleep every time I've watched it, but I love it.

Speaker 1:

That's why it's so great, mm-hmm, it's comforting.

Speaker 2:

It is. It makes me sleep. It's a little frustrating because I understand how the guy feels. He's like hungry throughout the entire movie and no one wants to feed him and they're so mean about it too.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Are you satisfied with my list? Yeah, was it a good one?

Speaker 1:

It was a good one Nothing upsetting.

Speaker 2:

No, did I forget something? No, okay.

Speaker 1:

Of course you have to go with what you're thinking.

Speaker 2:

Your turn, your turn.

Speaker 1:

My turn. Okay, so I have a top 10. Should I do like you and have like three honorable mentions?

Speaker 2:

Sure, if you want.

Speaker 1:

Wait, I have to pick three of them. I'm starting from the best one now of the bottom five. So it's five to one, yeah, exactly the worst one. I say for last yeah, yeah, okay. So I just want to say that in my lists it's only movies that Jackie has a big role. It's not just like a supporting role, it's like the main character.

Speaker 1:

The first one of the bottom five is Police Story Lockdown. I mean, I don't hate the movie, but I think that's mostly because all the other police stories are so good. I like all of the other police stories. And then we have that one and it's really not that good. And I didn't really know what movie I should pick, because I have other movies that was, you know, sure to be on the worst movies, but this one it got in there at the last second. It's not a great movie. He's taking too much of a beating in the movie instead of being the one.

Speaker 2:

Oh yeah, I didn't like that.

Speaker 1:

No.

Speaker 1:

He played the weak guy, yeah, and it wasn't him no exactly so no, I made a video of this movie, but it was just because it was set on Christmas and I wanted to make a Christmas video. It was okay. Next on my list is the Night of Shadows, and this is also not a very bad movie, but it's fantasy and I'm not a huge fan of fantasy and it's not like action driven Like, for instance, the Forbidden Kingdom. That's more like it's action and fantasy. This is more like two goofy and weird CGI creatures and I'm not the biggest fan of that. I don't hate the movie, but it's not a good one, according to me. Then on the list we have 1911 Revolution. It's a war drama. It's really more of a drama, and Jack is miserable the entire movie and it's so gray and bleak.

Speaker 2:

I kind of liked it.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, no, it has one scene in the movie that's good. The rest of it, nah. Not that good actually, if you ask me. And then we move on to Shinjuku Incident and that's the same thing. It's drama. It's like with the Police Story Lockdown. He's getting beaten up than actually doing any of the beating. He doesn't even have a fight in this movie, he just chubs some guys. His friend loses a hand and whatever happens, and Jack even has a sick scene and he's not even happy about it. It's a pretty bad movie. And now what?

Speaker 2:

Can I guess?

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

The number one.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I think you know.

Speaker 2:

I feel like I might know yeah, is it Fearless Hyena 2? Yes, yay.

Speaker 1:

Yes, it is Fearless Hyena 2.

Speaker 2:

Where Jackie bailed out.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, without doubt the worst Jackie Chan movie ever. Without doubt the worst Jackie Chan movie ever. And yes, as you said, jackie bailed out during the shooting of the movie he filmed some scenes. This is kind of a rule breaker, since I said he's supposed to be like a main character in the movie but he kind kind of is. I mean, he is the poster boy for the movie. The first Fearless Hyena is all Jackie Chan, he directed, did everything about that movie and this is supposed to be like a continuation, even though nothing makes sense, since the bad guy is alive and from the first movie and everything, and it doesn't have really anything to do with the first movie.

Speaker 2:

It's a crappy movie wasn't the guy who was playing his dad in the first movie.

Speaker 1:

Come back yeah, as a different character, yes, because his dad died in the first movie yeah, right, yes.

Speaker 2:

And then the guy comes back in the next one.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, as another.

Speaker 2:

Different guy.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, but I still think they had like a connection somehow. I don't even remember. I've seen it twice, I think, and, yeah, really bad, but I felt that we had to see it, since we said that we were gonna see all Jackie Chan's movies. So not good, very bad, and not good, very bad. Yeah, that's a good review of the movie. Yeah, not good, very bad.

Speaker 2:

All right, top 10.

Speaker 1:

Top 10. Okay, now I'm gonna do what you did and pick three honorable mentions. So one honorable mention is New Police Story, the teenagers. One Didn't make my top 10. Wah Wah, heart of Dragon Yay, I do love that movie very, very much, but it didn't make my top 10. Wah.

Speaker 2:

Wah.

Speaker 1:

And then I will pick Wheels on Meals.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

It's a good one and did not make the top 10. So here is the top 10, in no particular order. Did I do it right?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yay, you worked so hard on that.

Speaker 1:

Yes, my brain hurts. Okay, shanghai Noon.

Speaker 2:

Yay, yay, great movie Yay.

Speaker 1:

Yay, great movie. I love it. First Jackie Chan movie I watched on the big screen Great. I loved it from first, second and all these years later and love it as much now as I did back then. And then we have the sequel, shanghai Nights, also very good, maybe not as good as the first one, but I love that too. And I love the chemistry between Jackie and Owen. I think they have such a good chemistry and with you know Owen's snarkiness, sarcasm and Jackie's fighting style and all that and so cool and he's always serious. Yeah, I love it. Those movies are great. And then I'm going to move on to Police Story. Now that's a classic.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

It's such a great movie, I'm going to repeat myself. It's such a great movie. I'm going to repeat myself it's such a great movie. I'm going to say that about all of the movies. The end fight in the mall with all the broken glasses and everything. So freaking cool, great stunts when he slides down the pole.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1:

So cool, yes. And then we move on to Police Story 2. It's also so great with all the pyrotechnics and all the explosions and everything. It's awesome. And then Police Story 3, supercop Very cool. Jackie is very cool and has to go undercover with the bad guys. And then also the movie kind of introducing Michelle Yeoh to the world. Oh, so cool, she's so cool. The best female action heroine of all time, probably. Yeah, I think so. She's very cool. And then we have police story 4, first strike okay, a very fun movie. Jackie goes from working with the police, going to like a mission for like cia and get all the money. He's on the finest hotel and everything, and then he gets poor. He doesn't have a dime. It's fun to see the contrast of those from that one to the other one. And then the police is after him and everything. And the ladder fight scene one of the best of all Jackie's fights in my opinion.

Speaker 1:

And then we have Mr Nice Guy. Oh, I love this movie. Such a good movie when to start. Directed by Sam Hong, it has so funny fight scenes and chase sequences. He's also very funny. He's so creative and I love it. Very good movie. And then we have Rumble in the Bronx oh yeah, great fight scenes, the fight scene with the refrigerators and all that is so funny. And him making the movie with the broken ankle so cool, so funny. Chase sequences are awesome. And him making the movie with a broken ankle so cool, so funny. Chase sequences are awesome. And, yeah, great, great movie. First Jackie Chan movie I ever saw Awesome and Around the World in 80 Days Very funny movie, very awesome cameos. The whole cast is so funny.

Speaker 2:

All of the people, all of them. There's so many. Yeah, it's so good.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, very good. Jackie has good fight scenes too. A very good movie for the whole family to watch. It's a perfect family movie, if you ask me, and then I'm gonna end this list with my probably favorite of all time of Jackie's movies. And that's who Am I?

Speaker 2:

It's a really good movie.

Speaker 1:

It's an awesome movie. I love this movie so much. We have already talked about that movie today. Yeah, the stunts, as you said, are incredible. The fight scenes are top-notch and it's suspenseful and has this mystery to it, and I really like this movie. No, I'm sorry, use the wrong word.

Speaker 2:

I love this movie wow, it is a good movie.

Speaker 1:

Very good movie. Okay, so should I say some more honorable mentions.

Speaker 2:

If you want.

Speaker 1:

Oh yeah, rush Hour, of course, yeah. And then we have Twin Dragons.

Speaker 2:

That was a good one.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, dragons Forever.

Speaker 2:

Okay.

Speaker 1:

Project.

Speaker 2:

A Also a good one.

Speaker 1:

Project A2. Okay, fearless, hyena, I love that one.

Speaker 2:

I like the ending.

Speaker 1:

I like the whole. Thing.

Speaker 2:

Okay.

Speaker 1:

Drunken Master.

Speaker 2:

Yes.

Speaker 1:

Drunken Master 2. Yeah, I guess yeah, many people think that's his best movie ever. Okay, it probably is yeah, maybe I don't know.

Speaker 2:

Maybe I don't know, I only saw it once.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I like it. And then we have Armor of God.

Speaker 2:

A good one.

Speaker 1:

Very good one. Armor of God 2, Operation Condor.

Speaker 2:

A very good one.

Speaker 1:

Very, very good one my year the Foreigner.

Speaker 2:

Okay.

Speaker 1:

Very good one. The latest one I saw in the theaters Very cool, robby Hood.

Speaker 2:

I remember that one being good, but I don't remember it.

Speaker 1:

Gorgeous, very cool rob b hood. I remember that one being good and, but I don't remember it. Gorgeous, gorgeous it's good, yeah, and of course city hunter oh, of course that one yeah, I was thinking maybe I shouldn't pick a crime story because you don't like that one so no, I don't, you're probably right yeah, no, uh, crime story is also good. I do like that. It's very serious, though.

Speaker 2:

I still like it.

Speaker 1:

It's still good. So that's my list and I'm sure I missed some movies and I will correct that later in another episode, probably In a year, maybe.

Speaker 2:

Maybe next year. Yeah, you'll remember.

Speaker 1:

Hey, hey I missed one In a year, maybe, maybe next year. Yeah, you'll remember, hey, hey, hey, hey. I missed one. That's my list and I'm sticking to it, was it okay?

Speaker 2:

Crime Story is a good movie.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, you don't like the Foreigner.

Speaker 2:

Could have been better without Pierce Brosnan being so mean.

Speaker 1:

I mean that's.

Speaker 2:

Why the swearing? Why unnecessary?

Speaker 1:

I don't know, but he was a bad guy.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

So why is the bad guy so mean?

Speaker 2:

Why does he have to be so mean? I don't like it.

Speaker 1:

No, I liked that movie. It's a good one. I'm sure it's fine. You've seen it. Yes, yeah, it's a good one.

Speaker 2:

Trust me, all right, I trust you, it's directed by Martin Campbell. Yeah, so there, so there.

Speaker 1:

Okay, time to move on. Okay, is it about time to do the quiz?

Speaker 2:

Yes, embarrass me.

Speaker 1:

This is my Jackie Chan game.

Speaker 2:

Okay.

Speaker 1:

And you remember the James Bond movies.

Speaker 2:

Yes.

Speaker 1:

Do you remember the quiz we had afterwards? Yes, and I happened to.

Speaker 2:

Can you remind?

Speaker 1:

Okay, so that quiz was that some of the Bond movies have Swedish titles and you had to guess what movie the Swedish title belonged to, right? So I'm thinking there's a few Jackie Chan movies that also has Swedish titles. So that's my quiz.

Speaker 2:

Okay.

Speaker 1:

Let's start with how many. I think it's eight, eight. Yeah, okay, pirat Patrullen. Okay, the Pirate Patrol, or is that?

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, or the Pirate Squad or something. No, no Patrol.

Speaker 2:

Yep.

Speaker 1:

Okay, is it?

Speaker 2:

Project A or is it Fantasy Mission Force, or is it Vanguard the first one? Project A yeah, yes, Yay, oh my god, I'm so good at this.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

I got the first one right, yep.

Speaker 1:

Wow. The second one is Händer som dödar. Hands that kill. Is it New Fist of Fury or the Hand of Death? Or is it Master with Cracked Fingers? With Cracked Fingers?

Speaker 2:

Cracked Fingers. The second one no. Hand of Fury, no.

Speaker 1:

The Hand of Death. No.

Speaker 2:

Okay.

Speaker 1:

Is it New Fist of Fury or Master with Cracked Fingers?

Speaker 2:

Speaker 2:

Speaker 1:

Speaker 2:

Speaker 1:

Speaker 2:

Okay, it was 99 though.

Speaker 1:

Speaker 1:

Exclamation, that's a tough word. Yeah, we're going to start off with an exclamation. Exclamation, that's a tough word. Thinking of titles Strike, yeah, strike.

Speaker 2:

A noun.

Speaker 1:

Tuxedo A noun Spy.

Speaker 2:

Another verb ending in ing.

Speaker 1:

I'm going to look at his lists before I'm saying anything. I'm going to go with hiding Hidden Noun Kung fu.

Speaker 2:

Noun.

Speaker 1:

Lord Verb, oh verb. I like verb. Something you do, rumble. That's what I was thinking of.

Speaker 2:

Noun Medallion. Type of food Take not.

Speaker 2:

Part of the body Hand this one is called. Am I in your way? Okay, I hopped over to the cat section because I thought it would be relevant. No reason, strike, were you trying to type? I just felt the need to lie on your tuxedo keyboard at this moment. That spy you're trying to write isn't as young as my nap. Oh, and did you want to read today's dragon Tough? It's much more nice that I use it as a place to do my bleeding, and I hope you aren't going to do the super cop today, as I am planning on hiding in the laundry kung fu all day and I don't want to be disturbed. Let me know when you are going to start preparing dinner, as I can help knock things off the Lord, and when you sit down to rumble, I can certainly expect a few pieces of food from your medallion. Oh my god, but please no nut. You know I turned my hand up on that that was good fun.

Speaker 2:

That's it Alright. Well, that's the end of the episode. Goodbye.

Speaker 1:

There will always be this incredible. Okay, I'm done.

Speaker 2:

All right.

Speaker 1:

What did you think about that?

Speaker 2:

one that was my favorite so far.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, Okay, now there will always be this incredible man. He beats people with a ladder and a fan With a punch and a kick. He knocks them real quick. All this is said about the awesome Jackie Chan.

Speaker 2:

That was perfect.

Speaker 1:

Thank you. I know you want to leave and leave. Yeah, that's what you heard.

Speaker 2:

What did you hear?

Speaker 1:

It could have been live. I know you want to live.

Speaker 2:

That's too bad.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, sorry, we're gonna die. We're about to leave now. Leave now. We're gonna be back next week. Until then, if you see people, just go up to them and say, hey, I like this podcast, listen to them. That's all to it. Don't beat people up. Be nice. For once, you can be nice to people.

Speaker 2:

At least once a day.

Speaker 1:

I think so that's a good message. Next week you're gonna get the worst one.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I can promise you that, definitely yeah, this past weekend we had live Mad Libs and it was fun. No drama there.

Speaker 2:

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I eat rice, what I eat rice?

Speaker 1:

Good.

Speaker 2:

Because that's the only thing I know in Chinese.

Speaker 1:

Oh yeah.

Speaker 2:

That's why it's relevant.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, you should say that.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I will when we're not recording.

Speaker 1:

Why not now?

Speaker 2:

Because it's Chinese and I can't speak Chinese.

Speaker 1:

Okay, bo genga.

Speaker 2:

Yes, good job.

Speaker 1:

That means call the police. Yeah, if you see a Chinese person.

Speaker 2:

No, no, please don't.

Speaker 1:

No, don't, don't do that.

Speaker 2:

If you see a Chinese person, just leave them alone. Let them live their Chinese lives.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, they're people too. They are. That's nothing to laugh about.

Speaker 2:

It's not funny, we'll be back next week. It's not funny, we'll be back next week.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Have a nice life.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, you too, oh yeah.

Speaker 2:

Goodbye.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, the little you have left.
