Your fingers.

Speaker 2:

Your fingers, my fingers. Okay, my fingies here. Can you do this for me Because I'm a child? Yes, thank you. It hurts my ears.

Speaker 1:

There you go, thank you. Okay, are you going to say it? Yeah, I can sit. Hello and welcome to Roasty Toasty Ghosty. My name is Matias.

Speaker 2:

And I'm Lauren.

Speaker 1:

And we're gonna be your besties for the next few minutes.

Speaker 2:

Just a few minutes. Yeah, we won't torture you with much longer than that.

Speaker 1:

No, no, I mean we can be friends for like 12 minutes.

Speaker 2:

At least until the intermission. Yeah, and then we don't have to be friends anymore.

Speaker 1:

No, but you still have to listen to us. Yes, but remember that we're not friends anymore.

Speaker 2:

You just have to be okay with that.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's just how it is.

Speaker 2:

It's a mid-episode breakup yeah.

Speaker 1:

But you still have to listen to our problems.

Speaker 3:

We've got plenty. Yeah, oh, we've got problems. We should probably talk them out someday. Yeah, no, that's for a drunk episode.

Speaker 1:

Oh okay, you sound like a squeaky toy. You know like a toy for the dogs.

Speaker 2:

Toy story. Toy story yes, hello and welcome.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I said that.

Speaker 2:

I say this in my deepest, most monotone and bored voice that I possibly could come up with.

Speaker 1:

Are you Matias?

Speaker 3:

Today I am Matias. Okay, talking to my best friend, matthias.

Speaker 1:

Oh, okay, I thought I was Lauren. No, we're Matthias twins, so we're the Matthiases.

Speaker 3:

We're the Matthiases, matthiases.

Speaker 1:

Matthias I.

Speaker 3:

Matthias Matthiases.

Speaker 2:

You know what I want to talk about right now.

Speaker 1:

Yes, no, I don't.

Speaker 2:

You don't okay. What do you want to talk about?

Speaker 1:

I want to know what you want to talk about.

Speaker 2:

I want to know what you're. Oh, you do know, I do. You said you don't know, you don't want to know.

Speaker 1:

You were asking if I did know, if I knew what you wanted to talk about.

Speaker 2:

What I meant to say was do you want to know?

Speaker 1:

Yes, I do want to know, but I don't know. That's why I want to know.

Speaker 2:

All right. Well, I'm going to let you find out.

Speaker 1:

Can you survive this?

Speaker 2:

No, okay All right, during this episode. I'm going to do my very best, starting now. Starting now, right, this very second. Okay, not to laugh because I am going to cough, I'm going to tell you what I did this week. Okay, so starting on last weekend.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

I'm going to start with the weekend, because we had Midsommar.

Speaker 1:

Oh, yes, and we got to talk about.

Speaker 2:

Midsommar. It was a long weekend. It was, it was. It was a long weekend.

Speaker 1:

Dramatic, dramatic pause. Dramatic, dramatic pause.

Speaker 3:

Dramatic pause.

Speaker 1:

Dramatic pause. Dramatic pause, dramatic pass. Dramatic pause, dramatic pass.

Speaker 2:

So far I'm not doing great. No, what happened during midsummer? On front, front front day front day, on front day, uh-huh you know, interesting, it was the entire weekend in one day.

Speaker 3:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Fronday.

Speaker 1:

Friday to Sunday, that's Fronday.

Speaker 3:

Mm-hmm.

Speaker 1:

Now, friday, you went to the cabin with your family. Yes, I stayed home with my family, mm-hmm, and we celebrated that day separately. Yes, you say the word Separately. Yes, separately, separately, separately. Saturday that's the day after.

Speaker 2:

Friday.

Speaker 1:

That's in the middle of Friday. That's the un. The unf unfunded, I don't know. On saturday I took I took my niece and went to your place you also took your mom's. I took my mom.

Speaker 2:

Didn't you.

Speaker 1:

Did I.

Speaker 2:

Did she go and feed the bunny?

Speaker 1:

Yeah, she went to this place, yes, and she got to see them. Is that some kind of fetish for you? How's the no laughing going?

Speaker 2:

Okay.

Speaker 1:

Okay, okay I didn't know you liked my mom that much.

Speaker 2:

Oh, you have no idea.

Speaker 1:

Okay, so on Saturday I went to your place to keep your bunny alive. Thank you To feed your bunny and give him water and all that food and water.

Speaker 2:

We all appreciate it.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, so he's still alive.

Speaker 2:

Good. Yeah, I did good, you did do good.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, so I did the deed With the bunny.

Speaker 2:

Matias, you can't do that, I'm so stupid. With the bunny, mattias, you can't do that, I'm so stupid, you are yeah.

Speaker 1:

So, okay, then I took my niece and went to the cabin you were staying at, yes, and we celebrated the Midsummer Midsummer, the second day of midsummer, there, yeah, yeah, and you guys were swimming and all that. I went in up to my knees in the water, yeah, up to.

Speaker 3:

Up to her.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, in the water. Then I left.

Speaker 2:

Okay, just said hi and then turned around and walked away. Hello, then I just left, okay.

Speaker 1:

Just said hi and then turned around and walked away Hello, then I just left. I think this year was really good.

Speaker 2:

It went very well.

Speaker 1:

Yes.

Speaker 2:

I didn't go swimming nearly as much as I usually do.

Speaker 1:

No.

Speaker 2:

But the weather wasn't exactly amazing. I mean, it was pretty good. Yeah, it wasn't very hot.

Speaker 1:

No, it wasn't that warm. Nothing like this week, pretty good. Yeah, it wasn't very hot. No, it wasn't that warm.

Speaker 2:

Nothing like this week has been.

Speaker 1:

No, exactly, and I really liked the weather Weather.

Speaker 2:

Weather Weather.

Speaker 1:

I really liked the weather actually.

Speaker 2:

Okay.

Speaker 1:

It was really to my liking.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it wasn't so warm that you had to go all the way into the water.

Speaker 1:

No, exactly, and I didn't have to find shadows everywhere. I could actually be at all places, because other years I've just been staying in the shadows, in the shades. Yes, that's the same thing.

Speaker 2:

I guess in a way, yes, in the shade, in the shade. What's the difference between?

Speaker 1:

shadow and shade. I mean technically in a way yes, In the shade, In the shade. What's the difference between shadow and shade?

Speaker 2:

I mean technically. In a way you're right, they are the same thing. I think shade is like a bigger shadow and a shadow like is just that.

Speaker 1:

Okay, is that the same everywhere?

Speaker 2:

I don't know what do you mean everywhere?

Speaker 1:

Like British and American are usually someish and oh, I don't know, american are usually some kind of I don't know. No, okay, I stayed in the shadows and shades, whatever you want to call it all right, and then on sunday we went home yeah, yeah, pretty much. We got home at the same time. We did like I said.

Speaker 2:

It was really good this year yeah, and and then you were on vacation, yeah, but I lost my first week of vacation because of my States trip, so I still had to work. That first week of vacation I started biking to work, yeah, and it went fairly well. I was eating well also and I was like feeling really good, I was really proud of myself, I'm doing amazing. And then Tuesday evening suddenly I just couldn't breathe. It felt like my throat was closing up on me and I just started coughing out of nowhere and it got worse and I'm still having trouble breathing and I'm still coughing a lot. But it's kind of up and down. I have good moments and then I have really bad moments.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

I don't know what's going on. I just I can't breathe. So once again, I'm not okay. No, I mean, I've been sick pretty much every single week, feels like, and then I got better and now I'm worse again.

Speaker 1:

I don't know why I have this, and now I'm worse again. I don't know why I have this. I think it's some kind of allergy, because I'm like snorted the whole time.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, and I mean it's possible that this could be allergies mixed in with asthma due to biking through the pollen and everything.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Tired lungs.

Speaker 1:

And also the warmth.

Speaker 2:

It's been really warm.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that also is a factor.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

I have been chopping wood this week like crazy, because we have to be done with that soon and that's why I do it as much as I can, so we can be done with it and after that we can start our adventures Maybe, hopefully.

Speaker 2:

Maybe, or you'll just be like no, I don't want to.

Speaker 1:

No, I don't think so, but it depends on what kind of adventures you want.

Speaker 2:

Yeah Well, I know what you like.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Or more. I know what you don't like.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's true. What you don't like yeah, that's true. What I don't like is much better to know I would follow you at some point if I'm just not busy all the time.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, and you know that so now excuse me excuse you, I don't think so I'm not, not gonna unscuse you.

Speaker 1:

I was gonna say I'm sorry and then excuse me at the same time.

Speaker 3:

Please don't excuse me.

Speaker 2:

Unscuse me, I don't care, I burped and I don't even care.

Speaker 1:

No, exactly.

Speaker 2:

So I guess from Wednesday on I've been homesick.

Speaker 1:

Homesick, homesick.

Speaker 2:

I miss my home.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, okay, so that's why you stayed home.

Speaker 2:

So I stayed in bed and I was also sick. I guess I'm on vacation now.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, you are.

Speaker 2:

It was an accident to be on early vacation, but here I am.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, can't do anything about that now.

Speaker 2:

Life happens and it definitely looks like it was on purpose.

Speaker 1:

Oh yeah.

Speaker 2:

But no, it was not.

Speaker 1:

No, I hope your boss is listening to this.

Speaker 2:

Oh yeah, he should.

Speaker 1:

Or maybe he shouldn't.

Speaker 2:

Maybe he shouldn't Well it depends on.

Speaker 1:

I'd rather he didn't no.

Speaker 2:

And today's Friday. Oh yeah, it today's friday oh yeah, it is june 28th, 28th of june, june 28th, 2024 yeah, and we watched movies are you ready to talk about movies?

Speaker 1:

Speaker 2:

Beverly Hill, cop 3.

Speaker 1:

Okay, okay, beverly Hill, beverly Hill, cop 3. Okay, okay, beverly Hill.

Speaker 2:

Beverly Hill, cop 3.

Speaker 1:

No, beverly Hills, cop 3.

Speaker 2:

Beverly Hills Cops 3's.

Speaker 1:

Okay, you do whatever you want with that.

Speaker 2:

Let me be funny for once. Okay, you always steal the show and I want it. I want it back.

Speaker 1:

When have I ever stolen the show?

Speaker 2:

For at least two weeks and I've been doing my very best. I want it back.

Speaker 1:

When have I ever stolen the show For at least two weeks, and I've been doing my very best to get it back. Two weeks, yes.

Speaker 2:

Remember those two weeks I kidnap you when you kidnap me.

Speaker 1:

Kidnap you when I woman-napped you.

Speaker 2:

Thank you, I appreciate it, I let you sleep.

Speaker 1:

It was very nice I drugged your drinks and let you sleep.

Speaker 2:

Thank you.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, beverly Hills Cop.

Speaker 2:

Beverly Hills Cop Three.

Speaker 3:

Speaker 2:

Beverly Bobbity, boo Boo Three and.

Speaker 3:

Beverly Blah blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah Bugsy.

Speaker 2:

Malone, bugsy, malone.

Speaker 3:

That's it.

Speaker 1:

That's it.

Speaker 2:

Good, thank you.

Speaker 1:

So do you want to start with Beverly Hills, Cop 3? 3.

Speaker 2:

The third one.

Speaker 1:

Yes.

Speaker 2:

It was about a guy named Eddie Murphy.

Speaker 3:

In a world with Eddie Murphy.

Speaker 1:

There was only one character in this one, though he was the only one, and I'm going to talk you by. Talk you by.

Speaker 3:

Talk you by Trailer voice In a.

Speaker 2:

World. I'm not that good, I'm not as good as you. Okay, I'm embarrassing myself.

Speaker 1:

It was just one time I was that good that I could say in a world.

Speaker 2:

And I'll never get to that level.

Speaker 1:

No, okay, you should go the opposite way then and get worse. No, and you know, talk squeaky.

Speaker 2:

Hello, we're with Eddie Murphy.

Speaker 1:

Very good explanation of the movie.

Speaker 2:

Eddie Murphy was in this movie.

Speaker 1:

Yes.

Speaker 2:

Did I mention that.

Speaker 1:

You did that, okay, yes, bad summary.

Speaker 3:

Yes, that was it. And what did you think about the movie?

Speaker 2:

No, in this movie, Eddie Murphy and some friends went to Disney, except it wasn't Disney. It wasn't even universal. No, it was technically universal. Yeah, but in the movie it was called Wonderland. No, it wasn't.

Speaker 1:

Wonder.

Speaker 2:

World, wonder World.

Speaker 1:

Wonder World, wonder World, wonder World yes, in a Wonder World. Wonder World, wonder World yes, in a Wonder World.

Speaker 3:

With Eddie Murphy.

Speaker 1:

Okay, yes what happens in this movie More by the way.

Speaker 2:

I'm sorry. Are you going to do this for me? No, what do you have to say? What happens? That is not taking away from me.

Speaker 1:

I'm going to ask you questions.

Speaker 2:

Please tell me what happens in this movie. Well, Eddie Murphy and his friends go to Wonder World.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, okay, so why?

Speaker 2:

Why? Because there's a bad guy.

Speaker 1:

Oh okay, what did that bad guy do?

Speaker 2:

He was printing out fake money.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, and why was Eddie so angry at that guy?

Speaker 2:

Because he shot his boss. Yes, okay.

Speaker 1:

Good.

Speaker 2:

Cool Boss.

Speaker 3:

Boss Just making a guess, there he shot his boss Boss, he shot his boss, he shot up a boss.

Speaker 1:

Okay.

Speaker 3:

No, he didn't do that. He shot his boss.

Speaker 1:

Boss.

Speaker 2:

Boss.

Speaker 1:

That was sad. Yes, it was very sad, because he had a very sad scene when he died.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, and that boss always swore a lot he didn't.

Speaker 1:

He was a bad guy.

Speaker 2:

No, he was good, but he was always angry at axel or eddie it was funny when he was angry yes, yes, and then that's what happened.

Speaker 1:

Billy Rosewood was in this one.

Speaker 2:

He was in that one again.

Speaker 1:

Not Taggart.

Speaker 2:

No, where'd he go?

Speaker 1:

In the movie they say he retired.

Speaker 2:

Right, but he didn't actually retire.

Speaker 1:

No.

Speaker 2:

Where'd he actually go?

Speaker 1:

The sad fact is that he was filming another movie.

Speaker 2:

That's really sad. Yeah, because I think he really wanted to be in this movie was it with stallone no, no, not with stallone but the movie was related to stallone this one no, the other one, the other one, the one that taggart went to okay, I really don't know what movie he was shooting at the time why, I don't know.

Speaker 1:

I know he released a movie the next year with Dolph Lundgren. Dolph Lundgren.

Speaker 2:

Who has also done a movie or a few with Stallone, like the Expendables?

Speaker 3:

Yes.

Speaker 2:

Extendables.

Speaker 3:

Dependables Dependable Extendables.

Speaker 1:

Expandables Expendables, dependable extendables.

Speaker 2:

Expandables, expandables, I think that's what the movie was called. Yeah, I might be a little off. Maybe, I don't know.

Speaker 1:

So, yes, it was sad he was missing from this movie.

Speaker 2:

You said it was a sad fact. It sounded like he got cancer or died or something.

Speaker 1:

Oh no, Not sadder than he was filming another movie so he couldn't do this one, but Serge was in this movie. I like Serge.

Speaker 2:

He was in the last movie too.

Speaker 1:

He was in the first movie.

Speaker 2:

He was not in the last movie.

Speaker 1:

No, no, no, no, I was going to say inte, but not in the second movie in no, no, no, no, I was gonna say inte, but not in the second one.

Speaker 2:

Okay, now translate what you just said to swedish. Thank you all.

Speaker 1:

Right, you feel better now yes, okay, so now all the swedish listeners know what I said yeah, the two of them, which is us yeah because we rather listen to the Swedish.

Speaker 2:

I'd like to listen to the Swedish version.

Speaker 1:

Should we record both English and Swedish?

Speaker 2:

No, that would be a lot of work.

Speaker 1:

Are you up for that?

Speaker 2:

No, Okay, that answers that question. I did like this movie. It was funny and there was a point when they were at Universal Studios, apparently in Hollywood.

Speaker 1:

I didn't know that scene was from a real ride. Yeah, I didn't know that.

Speaker 2:

I've been to Universal in Florida and I experienced that same ride. Yeah, so when it was showing, I was like, like this feels very familiar, I've been on a ride like this.

Speaker 1:

I was thinking similar, but it was the exact same thing yeah, in the movie they had like alien robots yeah but this was actually from battlestar galactica, I think. Yeah, I think so.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, but they're not actually in that ride at Universal's.

Speaker 1:

No. But they were in the movie, you know, battlestar Galactica.

Speaker 2:

Not much more than the title itself.

Speaker 1:

How do you know the robots were from that?

Speaker 2:

Because I looked up the trivia on imdb.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, so that I could remember because I was pretty sure someone would have caught that too, oh, okay and I.

Speaker 1:

I just I had to know I also looked that up, so I knew that too.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I had to know okay because I had to look up the video on. Youtube and be like yeah, I've seen that before.

Speaker 1:

Okay.

Speaker 2:

What do you think about the movie?

Speaker 1:

Fun fact this is the first Beverly Hills Cop movie I ever saw.

Speaker 2:

What was the second one?

Speaker 1:

I think that might have been the first one.

Speaker 2:

Oh, what was the second one? The third one?

Speaker 1:

Oh my.

Speaker 2:

God, I'm so confused.

Speaker 1:

This is the third one. The third one is the first Beverly Hills Cop movie I ever saw.

Speaker 2:

Okay, and the second one.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, no, I'm not going to answer that.

Speaker 2:

I don't know what you want, but the second Beverly Hills Cop movie that you've seen was the first one, I think.

Speaker 1:

I Okay, let me explain.

Speaker 2:

Yes.

Speaker 1:

In order how I saw them. Okay, let me explain. Yes, In order how I saw them. I saw the third one first, the first one second and the second one the third.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah, okay.

Speaker 1:

Do you understand now?

Speaker 2:

Yes, can you see? Did you see the third, one, fourth as well? What Did you see? The third, one, fourth as well? Oh, my god, you're breaking down. I don't know what you mean did you see beverly hills cop three, after you saw beverly? Beverly hills, cop two I don't know.

Speaker 1:

Did you re-watch it?

Speaker 2:

of course I, I mean after you watch the second one yeah, okay, I've seen all the movies several times yeah and I don't know which order.

Speaker 1:

I've seen all the movies. I know I've seen the third one several times before I saw any of the other two. Okay, because I was just a young boy watching this movie, mm-hmm, because it had an amusement park and that was very fun for me. Maybe I was like five or six.

Speaker 3:

Oh.

Speaker 1:

And I thought it was cool. And also I thought a guy in the beginning, he had his caps cap. His hat Hat Caps. Baseball hat Baseball hat, yeah, cap, whatever Baseball hat, you know, the one with the the brim yeah. Yeah, the brim backwards. And I one with the the brim yeah, yeah, the brim backwards and I thought that was cool, wow, yeah, also, the amusement park was cool and I loved the scene where he saved the kids from the spider ride and that was like really jackie chan.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah, it wasn't Jackie Chan.

Speaker 3:

No, but, but it was it was.

Speaker 1:

In the style yeah exactly, and also I love the music, the Beverly Hills Cop theme. They played it several times in this movie. Mm-hmm, I think they played it more times in this movie than the other movies.

Speaker 2:

Okay.

Speaker 1:

I don't know, but I really like that theme. Most fans of these movies think the third one is worse than the other two.

Speaker 2:

Okay.

Speaker 1:

Eddie Murphy also thinks that.

Speaker 2:

Oh no.

Speaker 1:

But I still like it. I'm still a fan of it, so I don't really care what they say, and I'm excited for the fourth one coming out next week.

Speaker 2:

Very exciting.

Speaker 1:

Very exciting, like 30 years later than this, 40 years later than the first one, crazy, crazy and Taggart is back.

Speaker 2:

Oh good, he's not filming another movie?

Speaker 1:

No, I guess not.

Speaker 2:

Didn't get cancer and died or anything.

Speaker 1:

No, he's still alive, cool. And of course Rosewood is back, and Eddie or Ax? Course Rosewood is back, and Eddie or Axel and Serge is back too, okay, Okay, what were you going to say? You leaned forward like you had something to say.

Speaker 3:

Hello, okay.

Speaker 2:

And welcome. Hello and welcome to Roasty Toasty Ghosty, yeah, we're going to movie on to the next movie.

Speaker 1:

Yes, pugs in Malone.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, do that one Tell me about that one.

Speaker 1:

Okay, this movie is a very weird movie, but kind of fun. It's like an older gangster movie but with kids playing the roles and instead of getting shot and die, they get like pies in the face Whipped cream, whipped cream, yeah, in the face and yeah, it's kind of a fun movie, I think. Very original concept. I guess I don't think I've seen many of these movies before. I mean it has some back then future stars, you know, like Jodie Foster, mm-hmm and the guy playing Bugsy Malone, scott Baio.

Speaker 2:

I don't know who that is.

Speaker 1:

Okay, I think he was in some sitcom, was it in the 80s maybe, and he did a couple movies too, okay.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

And also the director of Rocketman. Yeah, was in this movie. Weird but fun. This movie I don't know what to say love story and the gangster conflicts like in you know more adult oriented movies about gangsters, but with kids instead. And yeah, I found it funny. It has a few songs, it's a musical did you recognize any of the songs? I don't think so, but I like the one in the beginning Fat Sam, grand Slam or what was it, something like that? Okay, and also the last song. So what did you think about this movie?

Speaker 2:

I thought this was a very cute movie.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

It was very fun, I enjoyed it. I want to say it kind of gave off like a Little Rascals kind of vibe, yeah.

Speaker 3:

I know.

Speaker 2:

Except the fact that they were all very serious about their roles and very adult-like, without the adult themes and, uh like, instead of alcohol, they were drinking kool-aid yeah, that's. And with the whipped cream bullets yeah, is that a real bullet, yeah even with, like the love scenes, they never kissed each other on the lips.

Speaker 1:

It was always on the cheek or the forehead Forehead yes, it was really cute, yeah, and I liked the cars.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, they were like little bike cars.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I mean it was I don't know Like an adult movie, except with kids doing kid things. It was very fun.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I enjoyed it. Yeah, I read some trivia to this movie. Okay, it's directed by Alan Parker Right, and he also directed Evita.

Speaker 2:

Okay With Madonna.

Speaker 1:

Madonna and Antonia Banderas.

Speaker 3:

Madonna.

Speaker 1:

And he came up with this idea after telling a story to his kids and the kids were like, why are never the kids the heroes in the stories? And that made him think about and write this movie and I thought that was very fun and creative. And to get a studio behind it and all yeah, very, very fun.

Speaker 2:

There should be another movie with the same concept.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I think so. It'd be very fun. Yeah, okay, so we have talk and talking.

Speaker 2:

We have talking.

Speaker 1:

We've been talking a lot and maybe it's time to take a break.

Speaker 2:

I don't know. Is there nothing else you possibly would want to talk about right this very second?

Speaker 1:

Maybe All right, I've been drying.

Speaker 3:

You've been drying off yeah. It took you this long.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 3:

Okay.

Speaker 1:

No, I've been dreaming of flying, okay.

Speaker 2:

Have you Like for real.

Speaker 1:

No, okay, I'm sorry, have you Like for real. No, okay, I'm sorry, okay, have you.

Speaker 2:

No, I had any dreams. You haven't, not that I can remember.

Speaker 1:

Okay, because every time I've been, you know, mid-air or I've been falling from like a plane or something.

Speaker 2:

Okay, in your dreams, yeah, or in person In your life.

Speaker 1:

Without the parachute. Oh, parakeet, parakeet, so nothing to fly, to save me.

Speaker 3:

I don't think the parakeet's going to kill you no.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I think it'll look pretty strong Okay maybe in your dream is a very strong parakeet yeah.

Speaker 1:

No but, and the scary thing is that you know when you feel like you're falling in your dream and you're about to wake up. It feels like you boom land in your bed.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

And I'm like whoa.

Speaker 2:

I do that all the time.

Speaker 1:

Okay, so you've done that.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Have you been falling from really high up, you know from like a plane?

Speaker 2:

Well, the thing is that I don't even have to be falling. I'll be like half asleep and then I'll just jump out of nowhere.

Speaker 1:

Okay.

Speaker 2:

And then I'll wake up and be like I'm so sorry.

Speaker 1:

Oh, hmm.

Speaker 2:

Because I usually scare the people around me.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I don't have people around me when I'm sleeping.

Speaker 2:

Okay, so I'm glad about that. My daughter still talks in her sleep.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Which is very fun to know. She took over my bed last night, so I was not allowed to sleep in my own bed.

Speaker 1:

No, okay, so she was the one kicking you out.

Speaker 2:

She kicked me out Okay, yeah, because she fell asleep in my bed and I was like okay, well, when sick child comes in, then you're going to your bed. She's like okay. And then when sick child came around, she was like I'm not going anywhere. I was like oh fine, but I don't think she was actually talking to me, because she was saying other things too. Okay. I don't really know what she was saying, because she like mumbles, but she was talking.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

And it wasn't to me.

Speaker 1:

Okay, I know my grandma used to talk in her sleep too.

Speaker 3:

Mm-hmm.

Speaker 1:

And I at some point I recorded her.

Speaker 2:

Okay.

Speaker 1:

I wish I I might have those tapes or tapes I mean it's Recordings. Yeah, recordings, but I really don't know if I have them.

Speaker 2:

I hope so. You have to find them.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

All right, on that note, I think I'm ready to take a break. Okay, all right, so we're going to do that and we'll be right back.

Speaker 1:

Yes, yeah, see you soon.

Speaker 2:

I'll see you.

Speaker 3:

I'll miss you, are you about? Okay, okay, we just go.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, and we're recording. We are yes.

Speaker 2:

Recording happens to be something that we are doing right now.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, if we're not front, where would we be then? To the side.

Speaker 2:

We would be back.

Speaker 1:

Oh, okay With a bang.

Speaker 2:

With a bang? Yeah, because I can't hold my phone. Ah, that's something people can relate to, right? Yeah, dropping phones, ah, how often do you drop your phone on your face?

Speaker 1:

It happens, it does, it happens, it does, it does.

Speaker 2:

It does it happens a lot.

Speaker 1:

Not as much anymore. Next, Next conversation shrimp.

Speaker 2:

Let's talk about shrimp. It sounds very random, but we did get a suggestion to talk about shrimp.

Speaker 1:

Yes.

Speaker 2:

Today we will be teaching everything about shrimp. Yes, today we will be teaching everything about shrimp. Yeah, so Tell me your thoughts about shrimp.

Speaker 1:

I really like shrimps, shrimps.

Speaker 2:

I don't know.

Speaker 1:

Not just the one.

Speaker 2:

Not just one. No, I liked that one, yeah, and then the rest were gross.

Speaker 1:

I once had a very good shrimp.

Speaker 2:

Okay, that's all. I had Just the one really good shrimp. Yeah, all of the others.

Speaker 1:

Never tried it again. Okay, it was too good.

Speaker 2:

Don't want to ruin it, no.

Speaker 1:

Okay so.

Speaker 2:

I did. Thank you for asking. I don't think I like shrimp.

Speaker 1:

Okay, you.

Speaker 2:

I've always been scared.

Speaker 1:

How do you know, have?

Speaker 2:

you tasted them. How do I know that I'm scared?

Speaker 1:

of shrimp. How do you know you don't like them?

Speaker 2:

Well, I said I'm scared of shrimp, I'm scared of trying.

Speaker 1:

Why.

Speaker 2:

Because they look gross and they look like little bugs. They're so good, okay, cool, okay.

Speaker 1:

So and I'm not a person who likes to try new foods- Okay so, and I'm not a person who likes to try new foods Okay, I guess not.

Speaker 2:

I mean, I've done it before and usually it goes pretty well. Sometimes I'm not that impressed.

Speaker 1:

But so you have never eaten anything that looks like a bug.

Speaker 2:

Have I Gummy worms? I have tried, yeah.

Speaker 1:

Yes, yes.

Speaker 2:

They were candy and I knew they were candy, so I ate them okay, so they're pretty good, I like the sour gummy worms have you ever tried sushi? No, I've never had sushi, ever have you I tried it once.

Speaker 1:

Okay, my friend moana was the princess the disney princess.

Speaker 3:

Yes, the princess, the Disney princess, she is a Disney princess.

Speaker 1:

In my eyes she once let me try one. It was mostly the rice.

Speaker 2:

You ate the rice from her shrimp or from her sushi?

Speaker 1:

Yeah, she's like, take this. I guess she offered me what she liked the least the rice, yeah, probably.

Speaker 2:

Okay, you also aren't a huge fan of rice.

Speaker 1:

No, maybe not, which is?

Speaker 2:

why you didn't like the sushi, because it was all rice. Yeah, it was a rice ball.

Speaker 1:

It wasn't all right, it was all rice. All right, all right, so funny.

Speaker 2:

You are funny.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, okay, but I want to tell you some things. That works well with shrimps on it.

Speaker 2:

Okay.

Speaker 1:

Shrimps works well on pizza.

Speaker 2:

Okay, so good Is it.

Speaker 1:

La bussola or just bussola.

Speaker 2:

I guess Okay.

Speaker 1:

That's what it's called in sweden, I don't know. Probably elsewhere too, I don't know okay and sandwiches rack maca. Okay, we call them that in swedish, um, and I mean it doesn't have to be just the shrimps. We also have something called skagenröra. Okay, and that's like a mush with shrimps in it.

Speaker 2:

That sounds disgusting.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, what would you call it? Like a.

Speaker 2:

It's kind of a sauce.

Speaker 1:

Not really a sauce. It's very thick, yeah, dressing.

Speaker 2:

No, I don't know.

Speaker 1:

No, okay.

Speaker 2:

It is a mush.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, a mush. We're gonna say it's a mush, a shrimp mush.

Speaker 2:

It's like potato mashed potatoes, except mashed shrimp.

Speaker 1:

Shrimp mush.

Speaker 2:

Mashed shrimp.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, okay, mushrooms Gross. No, not mushrooms, mushrooms, mushrooms. Oh perfect, that's the name, shush. And also it works well with eggs and mayo.

Speaker 3:

Ew.

Speaker 2:

So good, I don't know Very good.

Speaker 1:

Okay, sandwich cake.

Speaker 2:

Okay.

Speaker 1:

Smörgåstårta.

Speaker 2:

All right.

Speaker 1:

That's the best kind of sandwich cake.

Speaker 2:

All right.

Speaker 1:

With shrimps on it, so heavenly good, and also just salad.

Speaker 3:

Okay.

Speaker 1:

A shrimp salad. All right Very good, that was five different foods with shrimp.

Speaker 2:

That you like.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, or snacks.

Speaker 3:

Okay.

Speaker 2:

Could also be snacks.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, whatever you want to call it. Okay, so that was my homework.

Speaker 2:

Okay. Yeah, so since you're such a big fan of shrimps, I don't know, do I really have to try them on the live?

Speaker 1:

Let's ask the listeners.

Speaker 2:

Oh God, this weekend pretty much yes.

Speaker 1:

July 6th. Right, we're going to have a live Mad Libs. Would you like to see Lauren eat shrimp on that episode?

Speaker 2:

the thing is that I've been going on for so long saying I don't like shrimp, I don't like it, yeah, I don't want it because I don't like it. Truth is, I've never tried it exactly, and I just say that I don't like it and yeah sure, I've tried it, but I just don't like it because I don't want people to say, well, just try it, you might like it, because maybe I'll try it and I won't like it.

Speaker 1:

I found this out yesterday.

Speaker 2:

Was that yesterday? I think so, oh boy.

Speaker 1:

I never heard. I thought you had tried them.

Speaker 3:

Because I said that yeah.

Speaker 1:

And I think it was yesterday you texted me that you never tried them right and that's so unbelievable are you disappointed with me for lying all these years? I'm not disappointed. I'm just so surprised that you never tried them and say you don't like them yeah, I just don't want to try it's so weird, but, people, if you want lauren to eat at least one shrimp, just the one.

Speaker 2:

I'm already throwing up.

Speaker 1:

I take care of the rest, don't worry about it.

Speaker 2:

You can take care of the mess.

Speaker 1:

No, you take care of the mess, I take care of the shrimps.

Speaker 3:

Okay, the rest of them, you get one.

Speaker 2:

Okay.

Speaker 1:

I get the rest, unless other people want shrimps, okay, I get the rest, unless other people want shrimps, okay, I can share If you really like them. You can get more Okay.

Speaker 2:

Okay.

Speaker 1:

So if people say that they want you to try at least one shrimp, would you do it?

Speaker 2:

I guess, but they have to show up to watch. Yes, to see me do this. Yeah, I regret everything.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I mean, if you ever come up with something I don't like to eat or never tried.

Speaker 2:

I'm going to have to get revenge.

Speaker 1:

Yes, we can do that another time.

Speaker 2:

Okay.

Speaker 1:

I'm willing to do that. Okay, but it has to be something you like. Okay, I'm willing to do that. Okay, but it has to be something you like Okay. That I don't like.

Speaker 2:

Yes or never tried. Okay.

Speaker 1:

Because you can't say like you have to try liquors.

Speaker 2:

I don't like that either.

Speaker 1:

No, exactly, so it has to be something you like.

Speaker 2:

Okay.

Speaker 1:

Okay.

Speaker 2:

Next Okay.

Speaker 1:

Are you going to cut this? No?

Speaker 3:

No, yes, no, no.

Speaker 1:

Okay, since you're such a big fan of shrimps.

Speaker 2:

Right, as we've established.

Speaker 1:

Yes, I have taken.

Speaker 2:

Have you taken something?

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I have taken shrimp.

Speaker 2:

Wow, is that a drug?

Speaker 1:

Mushrooms.

Speaker 2:

Mushrooms Gross.

Speaker 1:

No, what did you do? I've gotten help from Open Eyes to come up with a shrimp quiz for you.

Speaker 2:

All right, because I know everything about shrimp before I've even looked into shrimp at all.

Speaker 1:

Exactly, that's what I know.

Speaker 2:

Speaker 1:

I don't know.

Speaker 2:

Brackish water.

Speaker 1:

Brackish water, okay, or D land.

Speaker 2:

I think they're land mammals. No, no, I'm pretty sure it's saltwater.

Speaker 1:

That is true.

Speaker 2:

I'm so smart. Did you know that? I think so, yeah, because usually you go and get them from the water, it's not land.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, true, ocean water, but it could have been brackish, because I don't know what that is.

Speaker 2:

What is that?

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I really don't know.

Speaker 3:

I hate Google.

Speaker 1:

Okay, number two. What do shrimp primarily eat? Plankton and small particles. That was A, b seaweed, c larger fish or D sand.

Speaker 2:

Well, I don't know the anatomy of a shrimp either.

Speaker 1:

No.

Speaker 2:

Do they swim? They just like float there at the top of the water. I think they swim.

Speaker 1:

Okay, they wiggle the tail or the back to move forward.

Speaker 2:

Their abdomen, yeah, okay.

Speaker 2:

By creating Keanu Reeves.

Speaker 1:

D by cleaning the ocean floor of debris.

Speaker 2:

Ooh, I would think it's kind of funny that their only purpose in life is to feed others. But I'm going to go with D.

Speaker 1:

What did you say first?

Speaker 2:

Feeding others, was that it?

Speaker 1:

By being a food source for other marine animals. Really, yeah, I'm like that's kind of a sad life.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, we're here to feed others. We have no other purpose in life but to be eaten.

Speaker 1:

Yep Number six what adaptation helps shrimp camouflage in their environment? Environment.

Speaker 2:

Oh, that's a good word. Yeah, I feel like you have had trouble with that word before.

Color b burrowing c mimicking other species. Did you hear me say mimicking? I heard that mimicking other species. Or d producing light is it the light?

Speaker 2:

let's see it's either that or the changing colors yeah, one of them is correct.

I want to say they flip around.

Speaker 1:

Okay, rapid tail flip.

Speaker 2:

oh, that's longer than I was. Thinking like an actual lifespan and not like how long it takes for them to get hunted and eaten.

Speaker 1:

A lifespan of a shrimp in the wild, so it's an actual, I guess.

Speaker 2:

I'm going to say B.

Speaker 1:

Okay, you say B Three to five years. Yeah, okay, the correct answer is A One to two years.

Speaker 2:

Speaker 1:

Tiger tiger shrimp. Okay, and now the final question. Okay, number 10. Which region is known for the highest diversity of shrimp species? Is it A the Arctic Ocean, b the Mediterranean Sea, c the Indo-Pacific region or D the North Atlantic Ocean?

Region.

Speaker 2:

Region.

Speaker 1:

The correct answer is C the Indo-Pacific region.

Speaker 2:

Oh, I got that one right.

Speaker 1:

Yes, that was the hardest one.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

And you nailed it Very good. I think you did very well on this.

Speaker 2:

Thank you.

Speaker 1:

Of course I don't think I would have gotten as many as you.

Speaker 2:

Okay, but you're so smart.

Speaker 1:

Only when it comes to movies.

Speaker 2:

Okay, sometimes Sometimes.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

All right. Well, would you like to deep dive on shrimp?

Speaker 1:

Oh deep dive, that was funny.

Speaker 2:

That was really good.

Speaker 1:

Very clever, yeah, that shows how smart you are.

Speaker 2:

Okay, we are going to go submarine deeps with these shrimps.

Speaker 1:

Wow, ghost deeps with the shrimps.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, wow, well, maybe not ghost deeps, but we're going to dive into these things, let's see. So, in case you didn't know, shrimp are small aquatic crustaceans found in both marine and freshwater environments around the world. They are an important part of the ecosystem, serving as both predators and prey, and they hold significant commercial value for human consumption.

Speaker 1:

Commercial values.

Speaker 2:

That's right. Wow, some details about the biological stuff.

Speaker 1:

Okay.

Speaker 2:

They are from the Animalia Kingdom.

Speaker 1:

Okay.

Speaker 2:

The.

Speaker 1:

The Animal Kingdom.

Speaker 2:

From the Animal Kingdom. Have you ever been there? No, okay, and Arthropoda, arthropoda, phylum, whatever, that is Malacostraca class.

Speaker 1:

Mm-hmm, yeah, and they are decapods. Yeah, I mean, I know all that. Yeah, they are decapods. Decapods, what's that? Mm-hmm. Okay, yeah, cool.

Speaker 2:

They are marine animals with shells, oh, like a lobster.

Speaker 1:

Okay, yes, or a crab, yeah, okay, I've been fishing crayfish, right.

Speaker 2:

Do they have shells?

Speaker 1:

Yes.

Speaker 2:

They're probably also decapods. Hmm, just a guess.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, they're called crayfish, right, or is it crawdad?

Speaker 2:

Whatever? I really don't know the difference, but I'm sure they're the same thing.

Speaker 1:

Kreftor in Swedish.

Speaker 2:

Okay, we're learning a lot of Swedish today.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, you're welcome.

Speaker 2:

I'm going to tell you about the anatomy of a shrimp.

Speaker 1:

Okay, what it's like my toe, like your toe.

Speaker 2:

It looks like your toe.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, it kind of looks like a it's also tiny and pink and very cute.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, shrimp are not cute. They look like bugs and that's gross.

Speaker 1:

They are cute.

Speaker 2:

All right, the anatomy of a shrimp. Yeah, shrimp have a segmented body divided into the cephalorax. Nope, that was wrong. Cephalothorax, cephalothorax, cephalothorax, cephalothorax, cephalothorax, cephalothorax, cephalothorax. I'm going to write a rap about cephalothorax, yeah.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah, what's.

Speaker 2:

Which is a fused head and thorax.

Speaker 1:

What's rhyming with that?

Speaker 2:

Lorax. That's it, yup, yup, and that's the end of my rap. Thank you for coming to my one and only performance.

Speaker 1:

It's an art piece, yeah.

Speaker 2:

Which is a fused head and thorax and the abdomen.

Speaker 1:

Their tail.

Speaker 2:

Yes, they have a hard exoskeleton made of chitin Chitin I don't know what it is, chitin.

Speaker 1:

Okay.

Speaker 2:

Chitin, I don't know if that's actually how you pronounce it.

Speaker 1:

I don't know either, but let's call it chitin.

Speaker 2:

Which they periodically molt to grow, to grow.

Speaker 1:

Ah, molt.

Speaker 2:

Yes, it comes off.

Speaker 1:

Okay, yes, okay, so they.

Speaker 2:

Like a bird, Mm-hmm yeah. Or a snake.

Speaker 1:

Like a snake. Yeah, yeah, that's what it was. Um sorry In Swedish.

Speaker 2:

Okay.

Speaker 1:

I'm gonna translate to Swedish Everything, everything, all right, no, I'm kidding. How about this one? Every, all right, no, I'm kidding.

Speaker 2:

How about this one A long antenna for sensing their environment?

Speaker 1:

Mm-hmm.

Speaker 2:

They have 10 legs, they're decapods. Oh, maybe that's what a decapod is. It has 10 legs. That makes sense.

Speaker 1:

You know what?

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

That makes sense, that makes sense. Yeah.

Speaker 2:

All right, I was wrong about the whole shell thing.

Speaker 1:

Okay.

Speaker 2:

But that also made sense to me for some reason.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I mean you're editing, so I'll leave it.

Speaker 2:

Okay, I'll be wrong and now I'm correcting myself.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I mean.

Speaker 2:

We're all learning something here.

Speaker 1:

Exactly, and you have to show your weakness. Oh, I am not weak. No In any way. You have to show your growth as a human being.

Speaker 2:

So they're decapods because they have ten legs, yeah, and the front pair of legs are often modified into pincers.

Speaker 1:

Ah, okay, the little crab claws yeah. So they have small claws.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I guess so.

Speaker 1:

Which is scary, santa Claus.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, they have Santa Claus. They have brachial gills for respiration so they can breathe.

Speaker 1:

Yes.

Speaker 2:

And compound eyes on movable stalks. That's cool, mm-hmm. Okay, what A little about where they live, their habitats.

Speaker 1:

Yes.

Speaker 2:

Marines, Marine shrimps I guess they're found in oceans, particularly in coastal areas and strawberries.

Speaker 1:

Okay, I thought they were like military or something. Yeah, they are found. And strawberries, okay, I thought they were like military or something.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, they are found in strawberries.

Speaker 1:

They are Strawberry military.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, they are military shrimp, the freshwater ones. There are freshwater ones. They're found in rivers and lakes and streams.

Speaker 1:

Okay.

Speaker 2:

And brackish water, whatever that is yeah exactly. Um, they are in estuaries. I don't know what that is.

Speaker 1:

So wait a minute when they are in all of the waters.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, but they're mostly found in salt waters.

Speaker 1:

Okay.

Speaker 2:

Um, and apparently brackish water is where salt water meets fresh water.

Speaker 1:

Oh, okay, so it's brackish, blackish, whatever. That makes sense, kind of.

Speaker 2:

The gray area.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, exactly the gray area waters.

Speaker 2:

Um shrimp are omnivores. Do you know what that is?

Speaker 1:

I think I do. Maybe I don't because I heard the word before, but I don't um, what was the word? Omnivore? Okay, carnivore, I know that's meat eater that's what I was thinking, you know all right, is that like?

Speaker 2:

is there another kind of vor that you've heard of? Um what's the opposite of a carnivore omnivore?

Speaker 1:

no, uh, I don't, I really don't know. Okay, so the opposite of a carnivore omnivore. No, I don't, I really don't know. Okay, so the opposite of a carnivore is a herbivore okay which only eats vegetables, okay, or plants okay, so this eats like small particles and stuff, I don't know um an omnivore.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, is like you and me. We eat both, both Okay. Omni is everything Okay. An avore is avore.

Speaker 1:

Eater.

Speaker 2:

Right.

Speaker 1:

That's what we're. Omnivore is weird.

Speaker 2:

Exactly Good job. Shrimp reproduction. Many shrimp species release eggs into the water which hatch into larvae oh, Gross eggs into the water which hatch into larvae. Oh Gross. They go through several larval stages before becoming juvenile shrimp. Mm-hmm. Teenage shrimps.

Speaker 1:

Such a difficult age it is.

Speaker 2:

You better eat them at that point, so they don't get worse. Yeah, shut up, matias.

Speaker 3:

Yes.

Speaker 1:

No, no, I didn't get worse. Yeah, shut up, matias. Yes, no, no, I didn't say anything.

Speaker 2:

That's inappropriate.

Speaker 1:

I didn't say anything, you're the one talking.

Speaker 2:

You laughed. I laughed Barely. I saw it. You're right in front of me, you can't hide, you can hear it I can see it Okay.

Speaker 1:

Okay.

Speaker 2:

We're moving on to their ecological importance. Shrimp serve as a vital food source for many larger marine animals, including fish, seabirds and marine mammals. Huh, they help control the population of algae and plankton, maintaining the balance of the ecosystem. Oh, so it was kind of both.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah, so they.

Speaker 2:

Whatever, I don't know. Quiz. I don't like it.

Speaker 1:

I didn't write it, no, you didn't no, so don't blame me, blame OpenEyes.

Speaker 2:

This is ChatGPT yes, open AI, also known as OpenEyes yeah. Open AI also known as OpenEyes. Yeah, so yeah, I've been relying a lot on OpenEyes lately.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, maybe we shouldn't.

Speaker 2:

OpenEyes has been making my diet for me. I asked it to you know, do my shopping list and everything for me, all the recipes for my week, yeah.

Speaker 1:

And how has that been?

Speaker 2:

Well, it was going well until I stopped breathing.

Speaker 1:

Ah, wait a minute.

Speaker 2:

Can that have something to do with? Is Open Eyes trying to kill me?

Speaker 1:

Probably.

Speaker 2:

Oh my gosh, that's not good.

Speaker 1:

Maybe we should talk to her.

Speaker 2:

All right, all right, we're going to continue here with their commercial importance.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, not Open ice.

Speaker 2:

No shrimp.

Speaker 1:

Shrimp, shrimp.

Speaker 2:

Shrimp fishing is a major industry worldwide, with significant exports from countries like China, thailand, vietnam, india and Indonesia. Don't cry, it's okay.

Speaker 3:

It is very sad.

Speaker 2:

Okay, it is very sad.

Speaker 1:

Yes.

Speaker 2:

Have you ever gone shrimp fishing?

Speaker 1:

I have not Only the crayfish.

Speaker 2:

Okay. Farming of shrimp has become increasingly important due to overfishing concerns.

Speaker 1:

Okay.

Speaker 2:

There's too much shrimp, which is why I don't buy shrimp, because of the fact that they're being overfished. So I'm just I'm not supporting that market.

Speaker 1:

You're so full of crap, okay.

Speaker 2:

Fish are consumed worldwide in various cuisines. Okay, fish are consumed worldwide in various cuisines. They can be boiled, grilled, fried or used in soups, salads and many other dishes.

Speaker 1:

Oh, soups. I forgot about the soups, but I don't really eat shrimp soups.

Speaker 2:

No, but yes, that's true, you know, in Forrest Gump, when he's going on about all the ways you can have shrimp, yeah, yeah, bubba.

Speaker 1:

Bubba, bubba Gump. Yeah, when he's going on about all the ways you can have shrimp.

Speaker 2:

Yeah yeah, bubba, bubba, bubba Gump. That was the shrimp boat or whatever. Yeah, let's see, let's talk about shrimp species. Okay, okay, okay. The first one is the penis monodon.

Penis monodon the penis shrimp, penis monodon. Yeah, okay, uh, also megalodon yeah, the penis megalodon, also known as the giant tiger prawn uh, a giant, the giant penis, a commonly A bigger penis, okay, a commonly farmed species.

Speaker 1:

Speaker 2:

Yeah, they're homegrown.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, shrimp, okay, cool yeah, like potatoes.

Speaker 2:

Right Um, there's the little penis Venomai, venomay.

Speaker 1:

Caridia, it sounds like an STI or something it could be a pirate. Oh.

Speaker 2:

Some fun facts.

Speaker 1:

Mm-hmm.

Speaker 2:

Factus Factus, factus Factus.

Speaker 1:

Factus Factus, factus Factus.

Speaker 2:

Factums Some shrimp species can produce light through chemical reactions. Cool, that's bioluminescence.

Speaker 1:

Speaker 2:

Very cool. Certain species, like the cleaner shrimp, remove parasites from fish. Very cool, they're cleaner shrimp. We need more of the cleaner shrimp remove parasites from fish. Oh, very cool, they're cleaner shrimp.

Speaker 1:

We need more of the cleaner shrimp.

Speaker 2:

There's too many dirty shrimp here. Shrimp can have a wide range of colors, often influenced by their diet and environment. Yeah, and to wrap that up, shrimp are fascinating creatures with significant ecological, economic and culinary value, playing vital roles in marine and freshwater ecosystems worldwide. So that's that. Did you learn anything?

Speaker 1:

I did.

Speaker 2:

At all whatsoever.

Speaker 1:

Not much, but some.

Speaker 2:

All right. Well, that's good enough for me.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I mean I'm going to listen to this again and again.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, and again, of course, and again, and again, and again, and I'm going to repeat everything at the live, so you'll hear it once again.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Probably not. No, I'm not going to do that. No, no.

Speaker 1:

No. Do you think we have enough for an episode now?

Speaker 2:

I really hope so.

Speaker 1:

I don't know. What do you think? Should we like wrap this up?

Speaker 2:

We can wrap this up.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

I have failed at not laughing. I'm very ashamed of myself. Yeah, you should I am, but this has been really fun.

Speaker 1:

And I counter that by saying eat shrimp, it's so good and it won't kill you probably not. It might and you don't want to take that risk unless you have like an allergy or something and I might and I just don't know about it and maybe I don't want to take that risk Unless you have like an allergy or something.

Speaker 2:

And I might, and I just don't know about it. And maybe I don't want to find out.

Speaker 1:
