Speaker 3Opening up.
Speaker 2Opening uppies. It's that time again, guys. Time to open uppie Time for the opening uppies. I mean I can keep that.
Speaker 3Yeah.
Speaker 1Your fingers.
Speaker 2Your fingers, my fingers. Okay, my fingies here. Can you do this for me Because I'm a child? Yes, thank you. It hurts my ears.
Speaker 1There you go, thank you. Okay, are you going to say it? Yeah, I can sit. Hello and welcome to Roasty Toasty Ghosty. My name is Matias.
Speaker 2And I'm Lauren.
Speaker 1And we're gonna be your besties for the next few minutes.
Speaker 2Just a few minutes. Yeah, we won't torture you with much longer than that.
Speaker 1No, no, I mean we can be friends for like 12 minutes.
Speaker 2At least until the intermission. Yeah, and then we don't have to be friends anymore.
Speaker 1No, but you still have to listen to us. Yes, but remember that we're not friends anymore.
Speaker 2You just have to be okay with that.
Speaker 1Yeah, that's just how it is.
Speaker 2It's a mid-episode breakup yeah.
Speaker 1But you still have to listen to our problems.
Speaker 3We've got plenty. Yeah, oh, we've got problems. We should probably talk them out someday. Yeah, no, that's for a drunk episode.
Speaker 1Oh okay, you sound like a squeaky toy. You know like a toy for the dogs.
Speaker 2Toy story. Toy story yes, hello and welcome.
Speaker 1Yeah, I said that.
Speaker 2I say this in my deepest, most monotone and bored voice that I possibly could come up with.
Speaker 1Are you Matias?
Speaker 3Today I am Matias. Okay, talking to my best friend, matthias.
Speaker 1Oh, okay, I thought I was Lauren. No, we're Matthias twins, so we're the Matthiases.
Speaker 3We're the Matthiases, matthiases.
Speaker 1Matthias I.
Speaker 3Matthias Matthiases.
Speaker 2You know what I want to talk about right now.
Speaker 1Yes, no, I don't.
Speaker 2You don't okay. What do you want to talk about?
Speaker 1I want to know what you want to talk about.
Speaker 2I want to know what you're. Oh, you do know, I do. You said you don't know, you don't want to know.
Speaker 1You were asking if I did know, if I knew what you wanted to talk about.
Speaker 2What I meant to say was do you want to know?
Speaker 1Yes, I do want to know, but I don't know. That's why I want to know.
Speaker 2All right. Well, I'm going to let you find out.
Speaker 1Can you survive this?
Speaker 2No, okay All right, during this episode. I'm going to do my very best, starting now. Starting now, right, this very second. Okay, not to laugh because I am going to cough, I'm going to tell you what I did this week. Okay, so starting on last weekend.
Speaker 1Yeah.
Speaker 2I'm going to start with the weekend, because we had Midsommar.
Speaker 1Oh, yes, and we got to talk about.
Speaker 2Midsommar. It was a long weekend. It was, it was. It was a long weekend.
Speaker 1Dramatic, dramatic pause. Dramatic, dramatic pause.
Speaker 3Dramatic pause.
Speaker 1Dramatic pause. Dramatic pause, dramatic pass. Dramatic pause, dramatic pass.
Speaker 2So far I'm not doing great. No, what happened during midsummer? On front, front front day front day, on front day, uh-huh you know, interesting, it was the entire weekend in one day.
Speaker 3Yeah.
Speaker 2Fronday.
Speaker 1Friday to Sunday, that's Fronday.
Speaker 3Mm-hmm.
Speaker 1Now, friday, you went to the cabin with your family. Yes, I stayed home with my family, mm-hmm, and we celebrated that day separately. Yes, you say the word Separately. Yes, separately, separately, separately. Saturday that's the day after.
Speaker 2Friday.
Speaker 1That's in the middle of Friday. That's the un. The unf unfunded, I don't know. On saturday I took I took my niece and went to your place you also took your mom's. I took my mom.
Speaker 2Didn't you.
Speaker 1Did I.
Speaker 2Did she go and feed the bunny?
Speaker 1Yeah, she went to this place, yes, and she got to see them. Is that some kind of fetish for you? How's the no laughing going?
Speaker 2Okay.
Speaker 1Okay, okay I didn't know you liked my mom that much.
Speaker 2Oh, you have no idea.
Speaker 1Okay, so on Saturday I went to your place to keep your bunny alive. Thank you To feed your bunny and give him water and all that food and water.
Speaker 2We all appreciate it.
Speaker 1Yeah, so he's still alive.
Speaker 2Good. Yeah, I did good, you did do good.
Speaker 1Yeah, so I did the deed With the bunny.
Speaker 2Matias, you can't do that, I'm so stupid. With the bunny, mattias, you can't do that, I'm so stupid, you are yeah.
Speaker 1So, okay, then I took my niece and went to the cabin you were staying at, yes, and we celebrated the Midsummer Midsummer, the second day of midsummer, there, yeah, yeah, and you guys were swimming and all that. I went in up to my knees in the water, yeah, up to.
Speaker 3Up to her.
Speaker 1Yeah, in the water. Then I left.
Speaker 2Okay, just said hi and then turned around and walked away. Hello, then I just left, okay.
Speaker 1Just said hi and then turned around and walked away Hello, then I just left. I think this year was really good.
Speaker 2It went very well.
Speaker 1Yes.
Speaker 2I didn't go swimming nearly as much as I usually do.
Speaker 1No.
Speaker 2But the weather wasn't exactly amazing. I mean, it was pretty good. Yeah, it wasn't very hot.
Speaker 1No, it wasn't that warm. Nothing like this week, pretty good. Yeah, it wasn't very hot. No, it wasn't that warm.
Speaker 2Nothing like this week has been.
Speaker 1No, exactly, and I really liked the weather Weather.
Speaker 2Weather Weather.
Speaker 1I really liked the weather actually.
Speaker 2Okay.
Speaker 1It was really to my liking.
Speaker 2Yeah, it wasn't so warm that you had to go all the way into the water.
Speaker 1No, exactly, and I didn't have to find shadows everywhere. I could actually be at all places, because other years I've just been staying in the shadows, in the shades. Yes, that's the same thing.
Speaker 2I guess in a way, yes, in the shade, in the shade. What's the difference between?
Speaker 1shadow and shade. I mean technically in a way yes, In the shade, In the shade. What's the difference between shadow and shade?
Speaker 2I mean technically. In a way you're right, they are the same thing. I think shade is like a bigger shadow and a shadow like is just that.
Speaker 1Okay, is that the same everywhere?
Speaker 2I don't know what do you mean everywhere?
Speaker 1Like British and American are usually someish and oh, I don't know, american are usually some kind of I don't know. No, okay, I stayed in the shadows and shades, whatever you want to call it all right, and then on sunday we went home yeah, yeah, pretty much. We got home at the same time. We did like I said.
Speaker 2It was really good this year yeah, and and then you were on vacation, yeah, but I lost my first week of vacation because of my States trip, so I still had to work. That first week of vacation I started biking to work, yeah, and it went fairly well. I was eating well also and I was like feeling really good, I was really proud of myself, I'm doing amazing. And then Tuesday evening suddenly I just couldn't breathe. It felt like my throat was closing up on me and I just started coughing out of nowhere and it got worse and I'm still having trouble breathing and I'm still coughing a lot. But it's kind of up and down. I have good moments and then I have really bad moments.
Speaker 1Yeah.
Speaker 2I don't know what's going on. I just I can't breathe. So once again, I'm not okay. No, I mean, I've been sick pretty much every single week, feels like, and then I got better and now I'm worse again.
Speaker 1I don't know why I have this, and now I'm worse again. I don't know why I have this. I think it's some kind of allergy, because I'm like snorted the whole time.
Speaker 2Yeah, and I mean it's possible that this could be allergies mixed in with asthma due to biking through the pollen and everything.
Speaker 1Yeah.
Speaker 2Tired lungs.
Speaker 1And also the warmth.
Speaker 2It's been really warm.
Speaker 1Yeah, that also is a factor.
Speaker 2Yeah.
Speaker 1I have been chopping wood this week like crazy, because we have to be done with that soon and that's why I do it as much as I can, so we can be done with it and after that we can start our adventures Maybe, hopefully.
Speaker 2Maybe, or you'll just be like no, I don't want to.
Speaker 1No, I don't think so, but it depends on what kind of adventures you want.
Speaker 2Yeah Well, I know what you like.
Speaker 1Yeah.
Speaker 2Or more. I know what you don't like.
Speaker 1Yeah, that's true. What you don't like yeah, that's true. What I don't like is much better to know I would follow you at some point if I'm just not busy all the time.
Speaker 2Yeah, and you know that so now excuse me excuse you, I don't think so I'm not, not gonna unscuse you.
Speaker 1I was gonna say I'm sorry and then excuse me at the same time.
Speaker 3Please don't excuse me.
Speaker 2Unscuse me, I don't care, I burped and I don't even care.
Speaker 1No, exactly.
Speaker 2So I guess from Wednesday on I've been homesick.
Speaker 1Homesick, homesick.
Speaker 2I miss my home.
Speaker 1Yeah, okay, so that's why you stayed home.
Speaker 2So I stayed in bed and I was also sick. I guess I'm on vacation now.
Speaker 1Yeah, you are.
Speaker 2It was an accident to be on early vacation, but here I am.
Speaker 1Yeah, can't do anything about that now.
Speaker 2Life happens and it definitely looks like it was on purpose.
Speaker 1Oh yeah.
Speaker 2But no, it was not.
Speaker 1No, I hope your boss is listening to this.
Speaker 2Oh yeah, he should.
Speaker 1Or maybe he shouldn't.
Speaker 2Maybe he shouldn't Well it depends on.
Speaker 1I'd rather he didn't no.
Speaker 2And today's Friday. Oh yeah, it today's friday oh yeah, it is june 28th, 28th of june, june 28th, 2024 yeah, and we watched movies are you ready to talk about movies?
Speaker 1you know what?
Speaker 2else I haven't seen you in so long.
Speaker 1I've missed your face oh yeah, okay, thank you, whatever, likewise what likewise, likewise, whatever Likewise, what Likewise Likewise. Likewise, likewise. Oh yeah, yes, I am ready to movie on, so let's movie on.
Beverly Hills Cop 3 Movie Discussion
Speaker 2All right, we're going to do that then.
Speaker 1Yeah.
Speaker 2Today we watched Beverly Hills Cops 3s All two.
Speaker 1I mean without the S's.
Speaker 2Beverly Hill, cop 3.
Speaker 1Okay, okay, beverly Hill, beverly Hill, cop 3. Okay, okay, beverly Hill.
Speaker 2Beverly Hill, cop 3.
Speaker 1No, beverly Hills, cop 3.
Speaker 2Beverly Hills Cops 3's.
Speaker 1Okay, you do whatever you want with that.
Speaker 2Let me be funny for once. Okay, you always steal the show and I want it. I want it back.
Speaker 1When have I ever stolen the show?
Speaker 2For at least two weeks and I've been doing my very best. I want it back.
Speaker 1When have I ever stolen the show For at least two weeks, and I've been doing my very best to get it back. Two weeks, yes.
Speaker 2Remember those two weeks I kidnap you when you kidnap me.
Speaker 1Kidnap you when I woman-napped you.
Speaker 2Thank you, I appreciate it, I let you sleep.
Speaker 1It was very nice I drugged your drinks and let you sleep.
Speaker 2Thank you.
Speaker 1Yeah, beverly Hills Cop.
Speaker 2Beverly Hills Cop Three.
Speaker 3Beverly.
Speaker 2Beverly Bobbity, boo Boo Three and.
Speaker 3Beverly Blah blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah Bugsy.
Speaker 2Malone, bugsy, malone.
Speaker 3That's it.
Speaker 1That's it.
Speaker 2Good, thank you.
Speaker 1So do you want to start with Beverly Hills, Cop 3? 3.
Speaker 2The third one.
Speaker 1Yes.
Speaker 2It was about a guy named Eddie Murphy.
Speaker 3In a world with Eddie Murphy.
Speaker 1There was only one character in this one, though he was the only one, and I'm going to talk you by. Talk you by.
Speaker 3Talk you by Trailer voice In a.
Speaker 2World. I'm not that good, I'm not as good as you. Okay, I'm embarrassing myself.
Speaker 1It was just one time I was that good that I could say in a world.
Speaker 2And I'll never get to that level.
Speaker 1No, okay, you should go the opposite way then and get worse. No, and you know, talk squeaky.
Speaker 2Hello, we're with Eddie Murphy.
Speaker 1Very good explanation of the movie.
Speaker 2Eddie Murphy was in this movie.
Speaker 1Yes.
Speaker 2Did I mention that.
Speaker 1You did that, okay, yes, bad summary.
Speaker 3Yes, that was it. And what did you think about the movie?
Speaker 2No, in this movie, Eddie Murphy and some friends went to Disney, except it wasn't Disney. It wasn't even universal. No, it was technically universal. Yeah, but in the movie it was called Wonderland. No, it wasn't.
Speaker 1Wonder.
Speaker 2World, wonder World.
Speaker 1Wonder World, wonder World, wonder World yes, in a Wonder World. Wonder World, wonder World yes, in a Wonder World.
Speaker 3With Eddie Murphy.
Speaker 1Okay, yes what happens in this movie More by the way.
Speaker 2I'm sorry. Are you going to do this for me? No, what do you have to say? What happens? That is not taking away from me.
Speaker 1I'm going to ask you questions.
Speaker 2Please tell me what happens in this movie. Well, Eddie Murphy and his friends go to Wonder World.
Speaker 1Yeah, okay, so why?
Speaker 2Why? Because there's a bad guy.
Speaker 1Oh okay, what did that bad guy do?
Speaker 2He was printing out fake money.
Speaker 1Yeah, and why was Eddie so angry at that guy?
Speaker 2Because he shot his boss. Yes, okay.
Speaker 1Good.
Speaker 2Cool Boss.
Speaker 3Boss Just making a guess, there he shot his boss Boss, he shot his boss, he shot up a boss.
Speaker 1Okay.
Speaker 3No, he didn't do that. He shot his boss.
Speaker 1Boss.
Speaker 2Boss.
Speaker 1That was sad. Yes, it was very sad, because he had a very sad scene when he died.
Speaker 2Yeah, and that boss always swore a lot he didn't.
Speaker 1He was a bad guy.
Speaker 2No, he was good, but he was always angry at axel or eddie it was funny when he was angry yes, yes, and then that's what happened.
Speaker 1Billy Rosewood was in this one.
Speaker 2He was in that one again.
Speaker 1Not Taggart.
Speaker 2No, where'd he go?
Speaker 1In the movie they say he retired.
Speaker 2Right, but he didn't actually retire.
Speaker 1No.
Speaker 2Where'd he actually go?
Speaker 1The sad fact is that he was filming another movie.
Speaker 2That's really sad. Yeah, because I think he really wanted to be in this movie was it with stallone no, no, not with stallone but the movie was related to stallone this one no, the other one, the other one, the one that taggart went to okay, I really don't know what movie he was shooting at the time why, I don't know.
Speaker 1I know he released a movie the next year with Dolph Lundgren. Dolph Lundgren.
Speaker 2Who has also done a movie or a few with Stallone, like the Expendables?
Speaker 3Yes.
Speaker 2Extendables.
Speaker 3Dependables Dependable Extendables.
Speaker 1Expandables Expendables, dependable extendables.
Speaker 2Expandables, expandables, I think that's what the movie was called. Yeah, I might be a little off. Maybe, I don't know.
Speaker 1So, yes, it was sad he was missing from this movie.
Speaker 2You said it was a sad fact. It sounded like he got cancer or died or something.
Speaker 1Oh no, Not sadder than he was filming another movie so he couldn't do this one, but Serge was in this movie. I like Serge.
Speaker 2He was in the last movie too.
Speaker 1He was in the first movie.
Speaker 2He was not in the last movie.
Speaker 1No, no, no, no, I was going to say inte, but not in the second movie in no, no, no, no, I was gonna say inte, but not in the second one.
Speaker 2Okay, now translate what you just said to swedish. Thank you all.
Speaker 1Right, you feel better now yes, okay, so now all the swedish listeners know what I said yeah, the two of them, which is us yeah because we rather listen to the Swedish.
Speaker 2I'd like to listen to the Swedish version.
Speaker 1Should we record both English and Swedish?
Speaker 2No, that would be a lot of work.
Speaker 1Are you up for that?
Speaker 2No, Okay, that answers that question. I did like this movie. It was funny and there was a point when they were at Universal Studios, apparently in Hollywood.
Speaker 1I didn't know that scene was from a real ride. Yeah, I didn't know that.
Speaker 2I've been to Universal in Florida and I experienced that same ride. Yeah, so when it was showing, I was like, like this feels very familiar, I've been on a ride like this.
Speaker 1I was thinking similar, but it was the exact same thing yeah, in the movie they had like alien robots yeah but this was actually from battlestar galactica, I think. Yeah, I think so.
Speaker 2Yeah, but they're not actually in that ride at Universal's.
Speaker 1No. But they were in the movie, you know, battlestar Galactica.
Speaker 2Not much more than the title itself.
Speaker 1How do you know the robots were from that?
Speaker 2Because I looked up the trivia on imdb.
Speaker 3Yeah, so that I could remember because I was pretty sure someone would have caught that too, oh, okay and I.
Speaker 1I just I had to know I also looked that up, so I knew that too.
Speaker 2Yeah, I had to know okay because I had to look up the video on. Youtube and be like yeah, I've seen that before.
Speaker 1Okay.
Speaker 2What do you think about the movie?
Speaker 1Fun fact this is the first Beverly Hills Cop movie I ever saw.
Speaker 2What was the second one?
Speaker 1I think that might have been the first one.
Speaker 2Oh, what was the second one? The third one?
Speaker 1Oh my.
Speaker 2God, I'm so confused.
Speaker 1This is the third one. The third one is the first Beverly Hills Cop movie I ever saw.
Speaker 2Okay, and the second one.
Speaker 1Yeah, no, I'm not going to answer that.
Speaker 2I don't know what you want, but the second Beverly Hills Cop movie that you've seen was the first one, I think.
Speaker 1I Okay, let me explain.
Speaker 2Yes.
Speaker 1In order how I saw them. Okay, let me explain. Yes, In order how I saw them. I saw the third one first, the first one second and the second one the third.
Speaker 2Yeah, yeah, okay.
Speaker 1Do you understand now?
Speaker 2Yes, can you see? Did you see the third, one, fourth as well? What Did you see? The third, one, fourth as well? Oh, my god, you're breaking down. I don't know what you mean did you see beverly hills cop three, after you saw beverly? Beverly hills, cop two I don't know.
Speaker 1Did you re-watch it?
Speaker 2of course I, I mean after you watch the second one yeah, okay, I've seen all the movies several times yeah and I don't know which order.
Speaker 1I've seen all the movies. I know I've seen the third one several times before I saw any of the other two. Okay, because I was just a young boy watching this movie, mm-hmm, because it had an amusement park and that was very fun for me. Maybe I was like five or six.
Speaker 3Oh.
Speaker 1And I thought it was cool. And also I thought a guy in the beginning, he had his caps cap. His hat Hat Caps. Baseball hat Baseball hat, yeah, cap, whatever Baseball hat, you know, the one with the the brim yeah. Yeah, the brim backwards. And I one with the the brim yeah, yeah, the brim backwards and I thought that was cool, wow, yeah, also, the amusement park was cool and I loved the scene where he saved the kids from the spider ride and that was like really jackie chan.
Speaker 2Yeah, yeah, it wasn't Jackie Chan.
Speaker 3No, but, but it was it was.
Speaker 1In the style yeah exactly, and also I love the music, the Beverly Hills Cop theme. They played it several times in this movie. Mm-hmm, I think they played it more times in this movie than the other movies.
Speaker 2Okay.
Speaker 1I don't know, but I really like that theme. Most fans of these movies think the third one is worse than the other two.
Speaker 2Okay.
Speaker 1Eddie Murphy also thinks that.
Speaker 2Oh no.
Speaker 1But I still like it. I'm still a fan of it, so I don't really care what they say, and I'm excited for the fourth one coming out next week.
Speaker 2Very exciting.
Speaker 1Very exciting, like 30 years later than this, 40 years later than the first one, crazy, crazy and Taggart is back.
Speaker 2Oh good, he's not filming another movie?
Speaker 1No, I guess not.
Speaker 2Didn't get cancer and died or anything.
Speaker 1No, he's still alive, cool. And of course Rosewood is back, and Eddie or Ax? Course Rosewood is back, and Eddie or Axel and Serge is back too, okay, Okay, what were you going to say? You leaned forward like you had something to say.
Speaker 3Hello, okay.
Speaker 2And welcome. Hello and welcome to Roasty Toasty Ghosty, yeah, we're going to movie on to the next movie.
Speaker 1Yes, pugs in Malone.
Speaker 2Yeah, do that one Tell me about that one.
Speaker 1Okay, this movie is a very weird movie, but kind of fun. It's like an older gangster movie but with kids playing the roles and instead of getting shot and die, they get like pies in the face Whipped cream, whipped cream, yeah, in the face and yeah, it's kind of a fun movie, I think. Very original concept. I guess I don't think I've seen many of these movies before. I mean it has some back then future stars, you know, like Jodie Foster, mm-hmm and the guy playing Bugsy Malone, scott Baio.
Speaker 2I don't know who that is.
Speaker 1Okay, I think he was in some sitcom, was it in the 80s maybe, and he did a couple movies too, okay.
Speaker 2Yeah.
Speaker 1And also the director of Rocketman. Yeah, was in this movie. Weird but fun. This movie I don't know what to say love story and the gangster conflicts like in you know more adult oriented movies about gangsters, but with kids instead. And yeah, I found it funny. It has a few songs, it's a musical did you recognize any of the songs? I don't think so, but I like the one in the beginning Fat Sam, grand Slam or what was it, something like that? Okay, and also the last song. So what did you think about this movie?
Speaker 2I thought this was a very cute movie.
Speaker 1Yeah.
Speaker 2It was very fun, I enjoyed it. I want to say it kind of gave off like a Little Rascals kind of vibe, yeah.
Speaker 3I know.
Speaker 2Except the fact that they were all very serious about their roles and very adult-like, without the adult themes and, uh like, instead of alcohol, they were drinking kool-aid yeah, that's. And with the whipped cream bullets yeah, is that a real bullet, yeah even with, like the love scenes, they never kissed each other on the lips.
Speaker 1It was always on the cheek or the forehead Forehead yes, it was really cute, yeah, and I liked the cars.
Speaker 2Yeah, they were like little bike cars.
Speaker 1Yeah.
Speaker 2Yeah, I mean it was I don't know Like an adult movie, except with kids doing kid things. It was very fun.
Speaker 1Yeah, I enjoyed it. Yeah, I read some trivia to this movie. Okay, it's directed by Alan Parker Right, and he also directed Evita.
Speaker 2Okay With Madonna.
Speaker 1Madonna and Antonia Banderas.
Speaker 3Madonna.
Speaker 1And he came up with this idea after telling a story to his kids and the kids were like, why are never the kids the heroes in the stories? And that made him think about and write this movie and I thought that was very fun and creative. And to get a studio behind it and all yeah, very, very fun.
Speaker 2There should be another movie with the same concept.
Speaker 1Yeah, I think so. It'd be very fun. Yeah, okay, so we have talk and talking.
Speaker 2We have talking.
Speaker 1We've been talking a lot and maybe it's time to take a break.
Speaker 2I don't know. Is there nothing else you possibly would want to talk about right this very second?
Speaker 1Maybe All right, I've been drying.
Speaker 3You've been drying off yeah. It took you this long.
Speaker 1Yeah.
Speaker 3Okay.
Speaker 1No, I've been dreaming of flying, okay.
Speaker 2Have you Like for real.
Speaker 1No, okay, I'm sorry, have you Like for real. No, okay, I'm sorry, okay, have you.
Speaker 2No, I had any dreams. You haven't, not that I can remember.
Speaker 1Okay, because every time I've been, you know, mid-air or I've been falling from like a plane or something.
Speaker 2Okay, in your dreams, yeah, or in person In your life.
Speaker 1Without the parachute. Oh, parakeet, parakeet, so nothing to fly, to save me.
Speaker 3I don't think the parakeet's going to kill you no.
Speaker 2Yeah, I think it'll look pretty strong Okay maybe in your dream is a very strong parakeet yeah.
Speaker 1No but, and the scary thing is that you know when you feel like you're falling in your dream and you're about to wake up. It feels like you boom land in your bed.
Speaker 2Yeah.
Speaker 1And I'm like whoa.
Speaker 2I do that all the time.
Speaker 1Okay, so you've done that.
Speaker 2Yeah.
Speaker 1Have you been falling from really high up, you know from like a plane?
Speaker 2Well, the thing is that I don't even have to be falling. I'll be like half asleep and then I'll just jump out of nowhere.
Speaker 1Okay.
Speaker 2And then I'll wake up and be like I'm so sorry.
Speaker 1Oh, hmm.
Speaker 2Because I usually scare the people around me.
Speaker 1Yeah, I don't have people around me when I'm sleeping.
Speaker 2Okay, so I'm glad about that. My daughter still talks in her sleep.
Speaker 1Yeah.
Speaker 2Which is very fun to know. She took over my bed last night, so I was not allowed to sleep in my own bed.
Speaker 1No, okay, so she was the one kicking you out.
Speaker 2She kicked me out Okay, yeah, because she fell asleep in my bed and I was like okay, well, when sick child comes in, then you're going to your bed. She's like okay. And then when sick child came around, she was like I'm not going anywhere. I was like oh fine, but I don't think she was actually talking to me, because she was saying other things too. Okay. I don't really know what she was saying, because she like mumbles, but she was talking.
Speaker 1Yeah.
Speaker 2And it wasn't to me.
Speaker 1Okay, I know my grandma used to talk in her sleep too.

Speaker 2Yeah.
Speaker 1And you nailed it Very good. I think you did very well on this.
Speaker 2Thank you.
Speaker 1Of course I don't think I would have gotten as many as you.
Speaker 2Okay, but you're so smart.

Speaker 2Okay, we are going to go submarine deeps with these shrimps.
Speaker 1Wow, ghost deeps with the shrimps.
Speaker 2Yeah, wow, well, maybe not ghost deeps, but we're going to dive into these things, let's see. So, in case you didn't know, shrimp are small aquatic crustaceans found in both marine and freshwater environments around the world. They are an important part of the ecosystem, serving as both predators and prey, and they hold significant commercial value for human consumption.
Speaker 1Commercial values.
Speaker 2That's right. Wow, some details about the biological stuff.
Speaker 1Okay.
Speaker 2They are from the Animalia Kingdom.
Speaker 1Okay.
Speaker 2The.
Speaker 1The Animal Kingdom.
Speaker 2From the Animal Kingdom. Have you ever been there? No, okay, and Arthropoda, arthropoda, phylum, whatever, that is Malacostraca class.
Speaker 1Mm-hmm, yeah, and they are decapods. Yeah, I mean, I know all that. Yeah, they are decapods. Decapods, what's that? Mm-hmm. Okay, yeah, cool.
Speaker 2They are marine animals with shells, oh, like a lobster.
Speaker 1Okay, yes, or a crab, yeah, okay, I've been fishing crayfish, right.
Speaker 2Do they have shells?
Speaker 1Yes.
Speaker 2They're probably also decapods. Hmm, just a guess.
Speaker 1Yeah, they're called crayfish, right, or is it crawdad?
Speaker 2Whatever? I really don't know the difference, but I'm sure they're the same thing.
Speaker 1Kreftor in Swedish.
Speaker 2Okay, we're learning a lot of Swedish today.
Speaker 1Yeah, you're welcome.
Speaker 2I'm going to tell you about the anatomy of a shrimp.
Speaker 1Okay, what it's like my toe, like your toe.
Speaker 2It looks like your toe.
Speaker 1Yeah, it kind of looks like a it's also tiny and pink and very cute.
Speaker 2Yeah, shrimp are not cute. They look like bugs and that's gross.
Speaker 1They are cute.
Speaker 2All right, the anatomy of a shrimp. Yeah, shrimp have a segmented body divided into the cephalorax. Nope, that was wrong. Cephalothorax, cephalothorax, cephalothorax, cephalothorax, cephalothorax, cephalothorax, cephalothorax. I'm going to write a rap about cephalothorax, yeah.
Speaker 1Yeah, yeah, what's.
Speaker 2Which is a fused head and thorax.
Speaker 1What's rhyming with that?
Speaker 2Lorax. That's it, yup, yup, and that's the end of my rap. Thank you for coming to my one and only performance.
Speaker 1It's an art piece, yeah.
Speaker 2Which is a fused head and thorax and the abdomen.
Speaker 1Their tail.
Speaker 2Yes, they have a hard exoskeleton made of chitin Chitin I don't know what it is, chitin.
Speaker 1Okay.
Speaker 2Chitin, I don't know if that's actually how you pronounce it.
Speaker 1I don't know either, but let's call it chitin.
Speaker 2Which they periodically molt to grow, to grow.
Speaker 1Ah, molt.
Speaker 2Yes, it comes off.
Speaker 1Okay, yes, okay, so they.
Speaker 2Like a bird, Mm-hmm yeah. Or a snake.
Speaker 1Like a snake. Yeah, yeah, that's what it was. Um sorry In Swedish.
Speaker 2Okay.
Speaker 1I'm gonna translate to Swedish Everything, everything, all right, no, I'm kidding. How about this one? Every, all right, no, I'm kidding.
Speaker 2How about this one A long antenna for sensing their environment?
Speaker 1Mm-hmm.
Speaker 2They have 10 legs, they're decapods. Oh, maybe that's what a decapod is. It has 10 legs. That makes sense.
Speaker 1You know what?
Speaker 2Yeah.
Speaker 1That makes sense, that makes sense. Yeah.
Speaker 2All right, I was wrong about the whole shell thing.
Speaker 1Okay.
Speaker 2But that also made sense to me for some reason.
Speaker 1Yeah, I mean you're editing, so I'll leave it.
Speaker 2Okay, I'll be wrong and now I'm correcting myself.
Speaker 1Yeah, I mean.
Speaker 2We're all learning something here.
Speaker 1Exactly, and you have to show your weakness. Oh, I am not weak. No In any way. You have to show your growth as a human being.
Speaker 2So they're decapods because they have ten legs, yeah, and the front pair of legs are often modified into pincers.
Speaker 1Ah, okay, the little crab claws yeah. So they have small claws.
Speaker 2Yeah, I guess so.
Speaker 1Which is scary, santa Claus.
Speaker 2Yeah, they have Santa Claus. They have brachial gills for respiration so they can breathe.
Speaker 1Yes.
Speaker 2And compound eyes on movable stalks. That's cool, mm-hmm. Okay, what A little about where they live, their habitats.
Speaker 1Yes.
Speaker 2Marines, Marine shrimps I guess they're found in oceans, particularly in coastal areas and strawberries.
Speaker 1Okay, I thought they were like military or something. Yeah, they are found. And strawberries, okay, I thought they were like military or something.
Speaker 2Yeah, they are found in strawberries.
Speaker 1They are Strawberry military.
Speaker 2Yeah, they are military shrimp, the freshwater ones. There are freshwater ones. They're found in rivers and lakes and streams.
Speaker 1Okay.
Speaker 2And brackish water, whatever that is yeah exactly. Um, they are in estuaries. I don't know what that is.
Speaker 1So wait a minute when they are in all of the waters.
Speaker 2Yeah, but they're mostly found in salt waters.
Speaker 1Okay.
Speaker 2Um, and apparently brackish water is where salt water meets fresh water.
Speaker 1Oh, okay, so it's brackish, blackish, whatever. That makes sense, kind of.
Speaker 2The gray area.
Speaker 1Yeah, exactly the gray area waters.
Speaker 2Um shrimp are omnivores. Do you know what that is?
Speaker 1I think I do. Maybe I don't because I heard the word before, but I don't um, what was the word? Omnivore? Okay, carnivore, I know that's meat eater that's what I was thinking, you know all right, is that like?
Speaker 2is there another kind of vor that you've heard of? Um what's the opposite of a carnivore omnivore?
Speaker 1no, uh, I don't, I really don't know. Okay, so the opposite of a carnivore omnivore. No, I don't, I really don't know. Okay, so the opposite of a carnivore is a herbivore okay which only eats vegetables, okay, or plants okay, so this eats like small particles and stuff, I don't know um an omnivore.
Speaker 2Yeah, is like you and me. We eat both, both Okay. Omni is everything Okay. An avore is avore.
Speaker 1Eater.
Speaker 2Right.
Speaker 1That's what we're. Omnivore is weird.
Speaker 2Exactly Good job. Shrimp reproduction. Many shrimp species release eggs into the water which hatch into larvae oh, Gross eggs into the water which hatch into larvae. Oh Gross. They go through several larval stages before becoming juvenile shrimp. Mm-hmm. Teenage shrimps.
Speaker 1Such a difficult age it is.
Speaker 2You better eat them at that point, so they don't get worse. Yeah, shut up, matias.
Speaker 3Yes.
Speaker 1No, no, I didn't get worse. Yeah, shut up, matias. Yes, no, no, I didn't say anything.
Speaker 2That's inappropriate.
Speaker 1I didn't say anything, you're the one talking.
Speaker 2You laughed. I laughed Barely. I saw it. You're right in front of me, you can't hide, you can hear it I can see it Okay.
Speaker 1Okay.
Speaker 2We're moving on to their ecological importance. Shrimp serve as a vital food source for many larger marine animals, including fish, seabirds and marine mammals. Huh, they help control the population of algae and plankton, maintaining the balance of the ecosystem. Oh, so it was kind of both.
Speaker 1Yeah, yeah, so they.
Speaker 2Whatever, I don't know. Quiz. I don't like it.
Speaker 1I didn't write it, no, you didn't no, so don't blame me, blame OpenEyes.
Speaker 2This is ChatGPT yes, open AI, also known as OpenEyes yeah. Open AI also known as OpenEyes. Yeah, so yeah, I've been relying a lot on OpenEyes lately.
Speaker 1Yeah, maybe we shouldn't.
Speaker 2OpenEyes has been making my diet for me. I asked it to you know, do my shopping list and everything for me, all the recipes for my week, yeah.
Speaker 1And how has that been?
Speaker 2Well, it was going well until I stopped breathing.
Speaker 1Ah, wait a minute.
Speaker 2Can that have something to do with? Is Open Eyes trying to kill me?
Speaker 1Probably.
Speaker 2Oh my gosh, that's not good.
Speaker 1Maybe we should talk to her.
Speaker 2All right, all right, we're going to continue here with their commercial importance.
Speaker 1Yeah, not Open ice.
Speaker 2No shrimp.
Speaker 1Shrimp, shrimp.
Speaker 2Shrimp fishing is a major industry worldwide, with significant exports from countries like China, thailand, vietnam, india and Indonesia. Don't cry, it's okay.
Speaker 3It is very sad.

Speaker 1Yes.
Speaker 2Have you ever gone shrimp fishing?
Speaker 1I have not Only the crayfish.
Speaker 2Okay. Farming of shrimp has become increasingly important due to overfishing concerns.
Speaker 1Okay.
Speaker 2There's too much shrimp, which is why I don't buy shrimp, because of the fact that they're being overfished. So I'm just I'm not supporting that market.
Speaker 1You're so full of crap, okay.
Speaker 2Fish are consumed worldwide in various cuisines. Okay, fish are consumed worldwide in various cuisines. They can be boiled, grilled, fried or used in soups, salads and many other dishes.

Speaker 1We need more of the cleaner shrimp.
Speaker 2There's too many dirty shrimp here. Shrimp can have a wide range of colors, often influenced by their diet and environment. It might and you don't want to take that risk unless you have like an allergy or something and I might and I just don't know about it and maybe I don't want to take that risk Unless you have like an allergy or something.
Speaker 2And I might, and I just don't know about it. And maybe I don't want to find out.
