Discussion About Career Decision Making
Speaker 1We can just talk a little.
Speaker 2Did we even check the microphone? I don't think so. You are too fast. This is the correct microphone.
Speaker 1Yeah, it's the same, it is.
Speaker 2Yeah. Yeah, I didn't have to change it because it was already there. I just had to check it.
Speaker 1Yeah.
Speaker 2So I'm thinking, if that other microphone doesn't want to work while we are filming, we're going to have to use this.
Speaker 1Okay For you. Yeah, is that going to work?
Speaker 2Well, we will probably need a separate recording device, which means that there's going to be mixing involved. And we all love mixing.
Speaker 1Yeah, it's great.
Speaker 2There's two ghosties and three pumpkins. I think I ate more pumpkins than you.
Speaker 1Okay.
Speaker 2So I will take one pumpkin and one ghostie. Okay, so I will take one pumpkin and one ghostie.
Speaker 1Okay, so I'll take one pumpkin right now.
Speaker 2Mm-hmm, mm-hmm. Today we filmed a test run for our fun little mini-series.
Speaker 1Mm-hmm yeah.
Speaker 2Mistakes were made.
Speaker 1Yeah, mm-hmm, eating and talking at the same time, mm-hmm, that's a mistake. Yeah, eating and talking at the same time, that's a mistake.
Speaker 2Yeah Well, this is getting cut. It's just the beginning. Okay, Time to fix, as usual. I still don't remember why I got this notebook.
Speaker 1No, no one knows.
Speaker 2Why are you throwing? Are you okay? Yeah, yeah, did you hurt yourself? Yeah, no, I didn't Sorry.
Speaker 1Oh, you ate your other pumpkin already.
Speaker 2Yeah, did you hurt yourself? Yeah, no, I didn't. Oh, you ate your other pumpkin already no. Are we going to have the ghosties now too?
Speaker 1If you want to.
Speaker 2Yeah, sure, why not? So we avoid this. Yeah, mine has the butt cheeks.
Speaker 1Oh.
Speaker 2Yours has the floating ball.
Speaker 1Yeah.
Speaker 2Nut Sorry.
Speaker 1Yeah, it's the wandering nut. That's what I'm going to call this masterpiece.
Speaker 2They came out really cute though.
Speaker 1Yeah.
Speaker 2Very messy, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, yeah, no.
Speaker 1You're going to have to lick your fingers. I know.
Speaker 2I wipe it on my glasses, that's an option. I guess that's the yoga mat.
Speaker 1I'm going to move into your apartment.
Speaker 2That's how you clean it up. That's how you do it. Do you want some water?
Speaker 1I have this.
Speaker 2Well, we don't know when we're going to open them.
Speaker 1Okay well.
Speaker 2Would you like some water?
Speaker 1No, have this? Well, we don't know when we're going to open them, okay, well, would you like some water?
Speaker 2No, I'm good, why? Okay, then Give me some water Hydrate. It's good for you.
Speaker 1I had like a thousand teas today.
Speaker 2Like three.
Speaker 1Felt like a thousand to me. Four, was it four for me?
Speaker 2I think so, because we had you had one more than me. One vanilla, two chives.
Speaker 1Oh yeah, and then the peach, so you had five. Oh my God, you're worse than me, mm-hmm. Well, I'm faster than you.
Speaker 2No, that's true, yeah but Don't you dare mention anything. You be quiet. What Okay, you be quiet what you had chocolate all over my face.
Speaker 1I don't see any chocolate.
Speaker 2No, I felt it on my face.
Speaker 1Well, I have to for sure.
Speaker 2You're okay.
Speaker 1Thank you, there's nothing there, oh yeah.
Speaker 2I called Manali the day that I got my offer.
Speaker 1Yeah.
Speaker 2I messaged her during the day. I was like I need some emergency future help okay I needed somewhere to go to someone to talk to, so and she was the first person I thought of yeah, I mean I wasn't much help.
Speaker 1No, I really can't like help you decide no, and it's really my decision and everything. Did she answer?
Speaker 2Yeah, yeah, we booked a time to talk that evening, okay. And she said that my mom, like, ran up front.
Speaker 1Oh.
Speaker 2My mom came forward like as soon as she started. Okay, like as soon as she started.
Speaker 1Okay.
Speaker 2And when she was basically just saying you know, don't worry about it, you know we can rely on Andreas financially, so the financials won't be a problem. And she was saying that Manali saw me not staying there at Unleavable until September, august, anyway. She figured that I would go a lot sooner and maybe get a job in between what I'm actually going for. But maybe something unexpected will happen after that. So it was all good things, luckily. I mean. I don't really know how much I should rely on that kind of thing. No, I don't know either.
Speaker 1And it's like when we were talking about my. When she read me she said it's going to be a change and it is, and it's going to be fine for me, but apparently it looks like it's not.
Speaker 2Maybe it feels like that now, but I mean, things can change.
Speaker 1Yeah, yeah, I guess we'll see.
Speaker 2But yeah, she was all for me, pretty much quitting and going for what I'm going after, yeah, and I think those were the words I needed.
Speaker 1And that was like the thing that.
Speaker 2It was basically that. And then I talked to Ante after and he was basically like go for it, like if you have that drive, then you should be chasing it. And he was like I've never had that kind of drive. I've never really like wanted to do anything and go for it.
Speaker 1No.
Speaker 2Or he didn't have anything to go for. No.
Speaker 1Okay.
Speaker 2So he was like you know what, just go for it. And that's what made me decide, Because she was also saying that if I was doing the evening shifts, she sensed health problems.
Speaker 1And.
Speaker 2I was like, yes, I know I'm going to have health problems going into evening shift and then day shift the next week.
Speaker 1Okay.
Speaker 2So yeah, that's basically what made me make up my mind.
Speaker 1Good, it was good, it felt really good. Yeah, I kind of felt like you did it for me, just to give me, and I'm like that was a huge part of the motivation too. Yeah, but I was like you shouldn't base it on me. That's not what I want, because I mean, if you wanted to stay, I think you should have stayed, not just say no, because it gives me a better chance. Yeah, but I, so I'm glad to hear that you had other thoughts as well.
Speaker 2Yeah, it was a very emotional day.
Speaker 1Yeah.
Speaker 2I left that office in a panic. I'm trying to hold myself together in the office. I'm a strong individual woman or independent woman. I can stand up to you people and then I walk out the door. I'm like, what do I do?
Speaker 1I'm so strong.
Speaker 2I'm panicking because I don't know what the future looks like, and it's really scary. It is still really scary.
Speaker 1You're like. I think I left my strength in there.
Speaker 2I need to come back and pick this up.
Speaker 1I think it just like shed right off of me yeah, and I mean I felt so calm when I got the call about me not, uh, staying.
Speaker 2I'm like yeah, okay, that's whatever yeah, uh, I mean was he like I'm sorry and I wish it wasn't like this?
Speaker 1or was he just straightforward, yeah?
Speaker 2it was. It wasn't like Hase. Like Hase how do you mean? Yeah, like he really wanted to keep you. But couldn't.
Speaker 1No, it wasn't like that.
Speaker 2I guess because it wasn't his decision.
Speaker 1No, no, that's true so no it was pretty straightforward, but I was kind of prepared for it so it didn't really bother me that much, although I wanted to stay.
Speaker 2but of course. Yeah, that's how it is.
Speaker 1Yeah, that's how it is, and it is really scary yeah I try not to think about it while I'm not in the future no, exactly, yeah, but I'm I'm just thinking so if I take that box, or check that box uh, do do if. When I come back, what does that mean? Does that mean I'm team mansell?
Speaker 2yeah, you start over, okay and that's basically what they were offering for me too yeah like yeah, and they gave me the five months and I was like so I'm basically starting over. She's like yeah, pretty much I was like I don't know about that no I mean, I worked hard and I panicked enough just to get here and you want me to start over after all these years?
Speaker 2yeah, that's not what I really signed up for no so I might as well start over somewhere else yeah somewhere that actually wants and needs me and where I can do my best yeah do the things I want to do. Yeah, that's how I see it, anyway. So, yeah, if you ended up being a team Missy again, you'd have to work your year before you even get a chance to be fussed again.
Speaker 1Yeah, no, it's just nine months. Yeah, maybe it's even less now with the new place. Who knows? I don't know.
Speaker 2I don't know, is that you, that's me. Okay, I definitely feel the five kilos that I've gained today and I'm at 6,000.
Speaker 1Oh yeah.
Speaker 2Yeah, I'm not doing great.
Speaker 1No, hey, I'm doing great. I'm at 5,000.
Speaker 2Good job.
Speaker 1Thank you.
Speaker 2How are you feeling?
Speaker 1Pretty good, and you.
Speaker 2I'm good.
Speaker 1Yeah, yeah, so should we start this? Let's get drunk? No, no, absolutely not.
Speaker 2We're going to be talking about Mamma Mia. We have to.
Random Chit-Chat and Tangents
Speaker 1Yeah, no, it's a requirement. I'll get drunk Off of energy drinking. Yeah, a monster, monster, drunk.
Speaker 2Monster drunk. You did the monster drunk.
Speaker 1Mm-hmm, is that a thing, or?
Speaker 2what it's? A monster mash, but monster drunk could be a thing.
Speaker 1Monster mash.
Speaker 2Yeah, it was a graveyard. Smash the monster mash.
Speaker 1Okay.
Speaker 2Caught on in a flash the monster mash. He did the monster mash. Wow, Okay. Do we need to watch it? We need to listen to this.
Speaker 1What is it? It's a song. By whom?
Speaker 2Oh, I don't know Very old.
Speaker 1Oh, okay.
Speaker 2Have I listened to this before? I really hope so.
Speaker 1Yeah, I guess we can watch whatever it is.
Speaker 2Okay.
Speaker 1Should we pause and we?
Speaker 2can pause and listen. Sorry, not sorry.
Speaker 1I'm sorry I wasted time I had never heard that.
Speaker 2Okay.
Speaker 1So that's why I was confused when you started talking about it.
Speaker 2All right, well, it was fun anyway, yeah. What do you think it's a good thing that we finish each other's broccoli? That's so funny. Sorry, finish each other's broccoli.
Speaker 1Yeah, and so how are you Stop Okay?
Speaker 2Stop, look at the computer. I'll take care of you. It's just a black speck.
Speaker 1Get rid of it Black speck.
Speaker 2I had to think of my words. It wasn't going to come out right, I caught myself.
Speaker 1Okay, your sister always wants to, but she just couldn't. But I don't think you. Yeah, it's just ghosting.
Speaker 2I'm sorry, oh, my ghosting Okay. I thought you were looking at my stretch marks. No, it's the my gross armpit stretch marks no it's the ghosting that's, is that? Better. Yeah, okay, can I just adjust.
Speaker 1Yeah, okay, should I just adjust?
Speaker 2Yeah, sure, but yeah, I don't remember what you did on Monday, so I got this offer. Do you need to breathe?
Speaker 1No, I'm good, you're good.
Speaker 2Yeah, me too.
Speaker 1You got this offer.
Speaker 2Are you going to?
Speaker 1be my Terminator, Maybe Aww Okay sorry. Yeah, what? What did you call it?
Speaker 1you said something not um permanent yeah not permanent, the other thing just contract yeah, uh we're always looking, yeah so I took it very lightly and he no, I forgot what I was going to say, so I didn't panic. Yes, yeah, I'm just trying to remember what I was thinking. No, no, Anyhow, the call went well and uh, yeah, I, now I know that I'm I, I always I'm also suspected that that was how it was gonna be, so, yeah, like a term, a neighbor.
Speaker 2I mean, if you become my neighbor, you have to say that every time you leave. Yeah, that's just how it is.
Speaker 1Every time I leave.
Speaker 2Yeah, if you come over here.
Speaker 1Oh, and then Bye, terminator, and then you go home. Oh, I'll be back. You have to be like I'll be back. Yeah, okay.
Speaker 2I'll be like okay, bye.
Speaker 1Bye Terminator.
Speaker 2Bye term a neighbor. I mean I can't say that because I'm not a term a neighbor, no. But you can say that to me?
Speaker 1Yeah, because I'm the term a neighbor.
Speaker 2Yeah, I can't say I'll be back.
Speaker 1No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, for the next three hours.
Speaker 2I can't say that every weekend.
Speaker 1Nope.
Speaker 2Or week Every Friday, no October 11th, and with two L's, not a U Looper.
Speaker 1Wait, what Right? Two, what O's? Yeah, you said two L's.
Speaker 2I said two O's.
Speaker 1Oh, I heard two L's.
Speaker 2Well, you know, it's the dialect.
Speaker 1Yeah, I guess.
Speaker 2Yeah, we're gonna say that.
Speaker 1Yeah, that's why you're gonna fail the English classes.
Speaker 2Yeah, I have to take an English class. I hope I zoom through that thing Be like. Can I just take the national test?
Speaker 1today. Those are O's, not L's how many times do I have to?
Speaker 2I'm just gonna walk in first day, all right, can I take the national test already? Yeah, and just get me out of here, please. I think I got out of it in sauna, I didn't have to take it okay but there were, like other classes, that I had to take yeah, anyway.
Speaker 1Anyway not relevant no, not at all um, that too.
Speaker 2Um, you cannot do that when we're live. Do not burp in the microphone when we are doing the live recording.
Speaker 1I usually don't, no, but when we're recording the episode ow. Yeah.
Speaker 2Then you do every time yeah.
Speaker 1You can't do that this time, but when we do the live, I never do that.
Speaker 2Okay Good, I don't think never do that, okay good.
Speaker 1I don't think.
Speaker 2Don't think so anyway.
Speaker 1No, I don't remember. Okay, so it was confusing.
Speaker 2Yeah.
Speaker 1Um, I mean, can you? I mean you. You have to say that she's dead right. The or.
Speaker 2Was it? It wasn't two years.
Speaker 1No, I don't know.
Speaker 2In about March, I think.
Speaker 1Okay.
Speaker 2It would be two years ago, okay.
Speaker 1Yeah, so it was a while ago.
Speaker 2Yeah.
Speaker 1So I'm I'm done with my uh, my bad summary, by the way.
Speaker 2Okay, I think All right, yeah. Keep going.
Speaker 1Yeah, okay. So I thought the movie was funny and yeah.
Speaker 2Sorry for being a cow oh yeah, it's okay Moo Moo. Just going to throw in a moo.
Speaker 1That's how you should cry.
Speaker 2Moo Moo, just gonna throw in a moo. That's how you should cry Moo. I try not to make a scene when I cry, okay, sometimes it just kind of happens, but most of the time I keep it down.
Speaker 1Yeah, yeah so.
Speaker 2Because, yes, sometimes I cry to movies.
Speaker 1It just happens. Yes, yes and that's perfectly fine. Sometimes you're supposed to cry to movies I think you were supposed to cry during this one, yeah are we keeping this?
Speaker 2yeah, okay, you can keep that yeah, I'll take this part, it's fine.
Speaker 1No, what? Oh yeah, was it something else? I think I wanted to say that Cher is a really bad actress.
Speaker 2Yes.
Speaker 1That's like I can't forget that I have to remember what. What's happening Nothing. Wait what song. What what's happening nothing? Um, wait what song, oh what what song did they um?
Speaker 2I know that one I also really like um one of us? I believe they okay did they have that one in this one? Do you have anything else to say about this? No, I, I think I'm good all right, I think I'm also good yeah, I, I, I like their, you know are they well casted yeah and in which I'm playing with the headphones cord, which I'm not supposed to do but.
Speaker 1I fidget, so that's what I do anyway I'm a rebel, yeah, um, and I squeak with my chair.
Speaker 2Very cute. Now I Shut up, shut up the Olmecs.
Speaker 1It's so funny about that.
Speaker 2You're funny.
Speaker 1Sigh.
Speaker 2Sighs.
Speaker 1Sigh denied Zocco Otto, it would have been funny if you liked chocolate.
Speaker 2Zocco Otto. They considered it a luxury what you're still laughing at me I'm sorry, oh, my quetzalcoatl quetzalcoatl, quetzalcoatl quetzalcoatl quetzalcoatl just how much we lost, right yeah, so I'm 75.7 right now and a week ago I was 75.6. Today you were 101.4. And last Friday was the 4th. So if I go up to the 4th, which was apparently a lot of days ago, yeah 101.9. You're down to 101. And that's something to be proud of.
Speaker 1Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no no.
Speaker 2You don't even dare.
Speaker 1You know, so it wouldn't rash.
Speaker 2It wouldn't melt.
Speaker 1Oh yeah, okay, I'm sorry. One question just with the things you made today, right, does it have to be? Was it a coconut thing? Oil, yeah, was it oil you had? I used coconut oil with that okay, well, the the other lumpy thing, the cream, or was it? Was that oil the big lump?
Speaker 2yeah, yeah, okay, it was coconut oil. Okay, does it melt?
Speaker 1okay, yes, uh, does it have to be that in in there, or?
Chocolate Snacks in Recording Sessions
Speaker 2I don't think so, but it's the best choice for me. Okay for my diet yeah, okay which we're gonna talk about now. Okay, um, let's see others, other pre-recording snacks recording recording snacks. S'more hoops, okay snacks yeah um, I'll just do I. No, I'm not gonna go through this. Cut that part okay we don't need the other snacks because we already have chocolate, and that's what we really want anyway.
Speaker 1Right, right, I like chocolate, chocolate, good Chocolate, good for me.
Speaker 2Is there anything else you want to talk about? Do you have other questions about chocolate? We can look up. What else do you want now?
Speaker 1Chocolate question. I don't know, just give me the options.
Speaker 2Yeah, it didn't give me the answers.
Speaker 1Okay.
Speaker 2Okay.
Speaker 1Glad she's gone, she's gone.
Speaker 2That's so mean.
Speaker 1All right, all right.
Speaker 2Yeah.
Speaker 1Really, all right, all right, yeah, really, that was the one I thought the least, yeah well, please elaborate on question wisdom.
Speaker 2Question number nine. But what do you think? Should we start getting dark chocolate bars?
Speaker 1Yeah, maybe Before recording. Yeah, maybe Before recording. Yeah, like you said, we should have like a square, just one square, while warming up maybe. Yeah, sounds good. Okay, good idea.
Speaker 2We'll start doing that then. Yeah, see how that goes.
Speaker 1Yeah.
Speaker 2Is it my surprise? It's your surprise.
Speaker 1Okay, yes, surprise.
Speaker 2Surprise.
Speaker 1Surprise. I hope people will be happy with that.
Speaker 2So should we have a list of 99 things? That's a good one All right, we're going to create a list of 99 things, just random things I don't know.
Speaker 1Yeah, we don't know what, yeah.
Speaker 2You know what Cut this so it's a surprise.
Speaker 1Yeah, okay. Oh, I'm sorry did you want to say that no, it's you like saying we're out of episode I. I thought you did it perfectly, so thank you, you're welcome.
