Speaker 1:

in a world where everything is unscripted. This is roasty, toasty ghost yeah, good job thank you you're welcome.

Speaker 2:

I feel like we are nearing the opening. Yeah, maybe, maybe, okay, you know it's always good news when I still have to pull up my pants.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

It feels like they're still falling down. Then I know, I'm not that bad. Yeah, I know.

Speaker 1:

I still think that my pants, you know, are still easy to button. And that's a good thing.

Speaker 2:

That's a good sign yeah.

Speaker 1:

But then again I also feel like my stretch marks starting to itch and I'm like that's not a good sign.

Speaker 2:

You know what you want to hear something funny.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Do you know how many times a day I go pee?

Speaker 1:

75.

Speaker 2:

At least. So that's 75 times of pulling down my pants, just so you know.

Speaker 1:

Okay, okay, that's only for peeing.

Speaker 2:

Well, going to the toilet.

Speaker 1:

Okay, yeah. Yes, Every time I go to the toilet I pull down my pants, right, Okay you're one of those, okay, yeah, yes, every time I go to the toilet I pull down my pants, right?

Speaker 2:

Oh, okay, you're one of those, yeah, yeah, and I usually I can see my underwear when I pull down my pants, because I pull down my underwear as well.

Speaker 1:

Okay.

Speaker 2:

You know what I realized?

Speaker 1:

the last time I went. I don't have any underwear. I forgot my underwear.

Speaker 2:

No, the thing is that the last time I went pee which was not that long ago and it's pretty late in the day. I realized just that last time that my underwear has been inside out all day.

Speaker 1:

Okay, okay.

Speaker 2:

So that is my funny thing for today, you and your bathroom mishaps.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's what happened, yeah we all know about your bathroom mishaps.

Speaker 2:

I'm very open about everything I do in the bathroom.

Speaker 1:

You know, it's that pretty ghost.

Speaker 2:

That pretty ghost.

Speaker 1:

Pretty bathroom ghost. Yeah, it was supposed to be petty, but it was, but you called it pretty and that made it funny it was funny yeah okay, okay, uh, it's your turn this time it's my turn you have to collect yourself. Collect all your butter parts and Put myself together Yep and. Scene. Let's open this. Okay, you can start this now.

Speaker 2:

Alright, hello and welcome to Roasty Toasty Ghosty, the best podcast ever. Yeah, I'm Lauren.

Speaker 1:

And I'm Matias.

Speaker 2:

And we are going to be your besties for the next 40 minutes to an hour, yeah, or something, not two hours.

Speaker 1:

No, not this time.

Speaker 2:

Nope, yeah, that's what I have to say about that. Yeah, that is what we say.

Speaker 1:

I think so. There's nothing more Are you waiting for me to say something?

Speaker 2:

Probably.

Speaker 1:

Okay, I don't know what to say when I'm put on the spot like this Okay.

Speaker 2:

How are you doing, Matthias?

Speaker 1:

I'm doing good, good, yeah, really good. And how are you?

Speaker 2:

I am also good.

Speaker 1:

Good.

Speaker 2:

I'm very full. What?

Speaker 1:

No, I just wanted to give you the same response as I got. Like I am good, Good.

Speaker 2:

Good, yeah Good.

Speaker 1:

What did you say? You're full.

Speaker 2:

I'm very full.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, you ate much.

Speaker 2:

I did.

Speaker 1:

Too much.

Speaker 2:

I ate a lot, so did I.

Speaker 1:

You might have eaten more than me actually.

Speaker 2:

You think?

Speaker 1:

Mm-hmm.

Speaker 2:

I do that sometimes.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

I have a hard time controlling myself.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, but you've been so good.

Speaker 2:

When.

Speaker 1:

Before. Before this week yeah, I feel like, or the week before that.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

You just let it go.

Speaker 2:

I let it go.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, you're like Elsa.

Speaker 2:

Yep, are you disappointed?

Speaker 1:

No, you make me feel better about myself Okay good, something good comes out of it.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, all right, I do this for you, I sacrifice myself for you.

Speaker 1:

Thank you, it's because I care. Yeah, it's myself for you. Thank you, it's because I care. Yeah, it's not because you like what you eat or anything.

Speaker 2:

No, no, you hate it, I do.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I hate it a lot, but I just can't stop blah blah candy, ooh disgusting, give me more yeah, I'm doing this for matthias, yeah now. Now we've made a full view out of you, yep.

Speaker 2:

Thank you.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, you're welcome. I do my best.

Speaker 2:

I keep trying to stay a step ahead of you, but I feel like I tripped and fell today.

Speaker 1:

A step ahead of me.

Speaker 2:

Mm-hmm.

Speaker 1:

How.

Speaker 2:

With the weight loss-wise.

Speaker 1:

Oh, okay, yeah.

Speaker 2:

You have officially lost more than I have in total. Oh I don't know maybe we should actually talk about something, so we can okay, okay.

Speaker 1:

So let's, let's talk about the week then.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, let's just about the great week you amazing week, best week ever, I don't know, maybe, probably not, um on saturday we went to the gym we did.

Speaker 1:

We did, yeah, because I, uh, I slept here the night yeah, the night before yeah and you came to.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, we went to the gym yeah uh the day after yes and yeah, so we did that.

Speaker 1:

Then I went home.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, you did. And what did I do? So my life partner went on a cruise with his work people and so I was alone with all three of my kids and we carved pumpkins. Oh yeah, and we roasted the pumpkin seeds. Then we watched nightmare before christmas and it was really nice and we ended up having snacks and it was too many snacks, for me at least, which is a pattern that you will notice that happens throughout the week, um yeah, but yeah that's what we did, and it was really nice nothing much happened for me on saturday, but

Speaker 2:

on sunday on sunday we met and we went to the hollywood, not hollywood we went to hollywood, yeah no halloween uh we went through a spooky trail yeah so we went through that with a friend of ours.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

And the kids were there too. It was also fun. It was supposed to be kind of scary, and I can see how maybe some people thought it could have been scary. The trail was the most scary part, you know the ground it was muddy yeah and slippery yeah, so that was the scariest part and also, like you know, rocks and twigs, and Roots, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that was the scariest part.

Speaker 2:

And we went through it twice. The second time was supposed to be scarier, but I didn't notice much of a difference.

Speaker 1:

No.

Speaker 2:

I bumped into one of the characters.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

The actors, actors. He ran right into me I think it was the first time we actually got a little bit jumped yeah it was one we didn't see, and it was just there, yeah, yeah, that happened to me the first time, yeah that was the first time, so that was the scariest part. Yeah, no, I was more focused on something above me and then one of the actors came around the corner, around a tree, and I got a little startled.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, not just you no that happened to you too. Yeah.

Speaker 2:

It was fun.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I guess it's not going to be more than that for Halloween this year?

Speaker 2:

I guess not.

Speaker 1:

No, that's a little bit disappointing.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

We didn't dress up anything for this year.

Speaker 2:

No, there weren't many options, though, either.

Speaker 1:

No.

Speaker 2:

There weren't that many events in the local area.

Speaker 1:

No, in hindsight, we should have dressed up for that.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, we didn't think about it.

Speaker 1:

No, we didn't. That's too bad yeah.

Speaker 2:

But then we had Monday yeah.

Speaker 1:

That was the worst day this week for me.

Speaker 2:

I don't know about you, but it felt like the work week went so slow. Yeah, the first few days yes, yeah, I feel like right after lunch it feels like all the lights outside just turn off and it gets really dark. Even though it's not super dark yet, it feels like it from the inside. It feels like it's the middle of the night and we're doing overtime.

Speaker 1:

Monday wasn't a good day for me. I was upset with people at work you know, mostly the bosses actually.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

But I hope.

Speaker 2:

They were being a bit unfair to you.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

But we went up and talked to the union about it on Wednesday we did. We had a meeting with them and it sounded like it went well.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, and that they actually saw the problem in it as well, so that's good, yeah, but uh, do you have anything else to say about the week?

Speaker 2:

tuesday was a day. Wednesday was a day we did not go to the gym, but we went for a walk on wednesday yeah, you don't have a gym card. No, I was stressing out because I couldn't pay for a gym card, so we went for a walk instead.

Speaker 1:

And I think that was a good decision. It was good Decision, decision.

Speaker 2:

Decision. That's my word, I'm not going to use it, but it was good. It was a good walk, and yesterday was Thursday. It was Halloween. It was also Sick Child's birthday. So halloween's end up being a lot more stressful for us for the past five years because it's a birthday and trick-or-treating. So I got home from work and we ate dinner. My life partner had made pancakes that looked like jack-o'-lanterns and they were really cute and I ate a ton of them they were good so good.

Speaker 1:

Good, because I haven't had pancakes in a while now and I just went for it and I just think it's so funny that we have been talking about me getting pancakes here for several weeks now.

Speaker 2:

Yes.

Speaker 1:

And we're like next week. Yeah, and this was going to be the week we had the pancakes. Yes, but it wasn't.

Speaker 2:

No, no, we were so close to having pancakes today, yeah, but my life partner had hurt his arm at work, so he wasn't up for making pancakes.

Speaker 1:

No.

Speaker 2:

Unfortunately, and he made pancakes yesterday. Yeah, so I ate a ton of pancakes. And then we had cake.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yesterday, yesterday, not today. No.

Speaker 2:

Because you didn't get pancakes.

Speaker 1:

No, you ate them all.

Speaker 2:

I ate them all. That's right. And then there was cake. We found a.

Speaker 1:

Yesterday.

Speaker 2:

Yesterday, not today, it's gone now.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, you ate it all I ate half of it.

Speaker 2:

The others ate the other half. That doesn't make it sound better, no, but it was a pumpkin cake and it was cute, or it looked like a pumpkin. It didn't have any pumpkin flavorings, but it was cute and I ate half of it.

Speaker 2:

Sick child opened his presents and we got dressed up in our costumes and went trick-or-treating. And that went well. It was fun, everyone enjoyed it and I ate so much candy. On the way I was picking from the kids' candies as we were trick-or-treating. And, yeah, we got home and I felt like I was going to explode and Sick Child has a love for the Nightmare Before Christmas now. So we watched that and he fell asleep to it.

Speaker 1:

And it was very nice. I really like that movie as well, but I haven't seen it this year maybe I will maybe, or maybe I won't you probably won't, but maybe you will yeah so yeah, that's what happened yesterday.

Speaker 2:

Did you do anything exciting yesterday?

Speaker 1:

not really. No, I don't think I did anything fun yesterday either. Today is Friday.

Speaker 2:

Right.

Speaker 1:

The work day has been good today.

Speaker 2:

I enjoyed today. Yeah, we had a good day.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, because I didn't have to work in the hellish department today. So, I got to work in a department I like way more.

Speaker 2:

We worked in the same room for once. It doesn't happen very often.

Speaker 1:

No.

Speaker 2:

But we did that today.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

And I had a ton to do, so I was busy all day and we were in good moods.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, and everything was good.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, people stopped to talk to me today, lots of people wanted to talk to you, yeah.

Speaker 1:

Are we supposed to do the weight thing or?

Speaker 2:

darn it are we just skipping all right for our weekly check-in. We'll also do a weight update because it rhymes yeah, weight update how did you do this week?

Speaker 1:

I lost. Uh, what was it? Six point six six kilos no point.

Speaker 2:

Six kilograms yeah, given how well I have done this week, all the candy and cake and pancakes and Everything amazing I have consumed I gained 2.9 kilos.

Speaker 1:

That's not three. It's not three.

Speaker 2:

Nope, so that's good.

Speaker 1:

Could be worse.

Speaker 2:

It definitely could be worse. My pants are still sitting loosely on me, so I am not that bad.

Speaker 1:

No.

Speaker 2:

Oh, yesterday was awful, though my pants. The zipper on my jeans broke while I was at work and I noticed that my pants were fitting very loose.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

And I had just been in the bathroom and I was like, oh no, I forgot to zip up my pants. And so I looked and the zipper. You know the pulling part of the zipper the one that you hold on to it was already up, but the rest of the zipper didn't follow. Yeah, no.

Speaker 1:

Okay.

Speaker 2:

It was detached. Okay, I was like, oh no. So I tried to fix it and I couldn't fix it no it wasn't even midday yet no I was like how am I going to go around? Because I have to walk around the building quite a bit yeah, and try to be discreet about this and I tried, and I tried and it got so distracting I had to go home and change my pants yeah so that's my fun story.

Speaker 1:

Yeah For Thursday. Sorry, just talking about pants stories and all.

Speaker 2:

Stories about pants.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, pants story, that's my new movie. No, I'm kidding.

Speaker 2:

It should be a segment.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Pants stories Mm-hmm.

Speaker 1:

Stories about pants. I was thinking about when you were talking about the zipper. Mm-hmm, the thing Thinking about when you were talking about the zipper, the thing that you pull. It is supposed to lock. You know when you push it down.

Speaker 2:

Okay.

Speaker 1:

Like when you pull it up and then push it down.

Speaker 2:

So it won't open again. All right.

Speaker 1:

But when I was younger I had these pants that didn't lock and they just went open. You know, the zipper went down, yeah, and I'm like like that's a problem. I I really need to fix it so they stay up. But then I I felt smart because I took a keychain nickel ring yeah and just put it on the thing that you pull up yeah and then on my button. Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, you connected to your button. Yeah, yeah, so then it stayed up Good.

Speaker 1:

That's a life hack for people with difficult zippers.

Speaker 2:

That is a good life hack actually, but it is Friday.

Speaker 1:

It is.

Speaker 2:

It's November 1st, happy November. Thank you New month, new month, new me, I'm huge. New month, new me, I'm huge, huge me, huge me. We did watch movies we did. Would you like to movie on at?

Speaker 1:

some point today. You know what let's movie on.

Speaker 2:

All right, so today we watched 16. Blocks.

Speaker 1:

That was it Okay.

Speaker 2:

We also watched is it? Endel of Mityarta.

Speaker 1:

Okay, endel of Mityarta.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it's a Swedish movie.

Speaker 1:

Yes.

Speaker 2:

Maybe I should tell you about 16 Blocks. Okay, I didn't even know the title of this movie. Okay, this is a movie with Bruce Willis. God, what happened in this movie? Bruce Willis finds a guy who likes to talk like Chris Tucker, except it's not Chris Tucker. He's trying to protect this person because he's getting attacked by police or something, and there's a hostage situation on a bus as well. This person likes to bake cakes.

Speaker 1:

That caught my attention. Yeah, that's when you woke up.

Speaker 2:

Did he say cakes Cake? Am I supposed to know more than this?

Speaker 1:

No, probably not.

Speaker 2:

It was very confusing.

Speaker 1:

I felt.

Speaker 2:

I wasn't really sure what was going on and what they were running from and why?

Speaker 1:

okay. So this guy? He's supposed to testify against corrupt cops, so the bad cops want to kill the guy so he can't testify against them. Bruce willis helps this guy. Bruce Willis is kind of like an alcoholic in this one, but he helps this guy. The other cops sees what Bruce does is like a betrayal, since they're supposed to be friends and he's not willing to kill an innocent guy just because he is a witness against bad cops. That's kind of what the movie is about.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah, we'll say that. Okay, I'm going to say again that I found it kind of confusing and I couldn't really follow along.

Speaker 1:

Okay, why.

Speaker 2:

Why, why yeah?

Speaker 1:

I'm just thinking it's pretty straightforward, because I'm dumb. I didn't want to say it, but now that you said it, I said it, I'm not going to disagree.

Speaker 2:

No, you don't have to. But yeah, that's it. I mean, I thought the guy that Bruce Willis was trying to save was kind of fun, but I don't know if I liked it.

Speaker 1:

Okay.

Speaker 2:

Because I didn't really know what was going on. Okay, I was, didn't really know what was going on, okay. I was trying to follow, but I wasn't really sure. Okay, your turn.

Speaker 1:

Okay, I really like this movie. It is one of my favorite well, maybe not one of my top favorite of Bruce Willis' movies, but I think it's really good. Yeah, I like the characters and the bad guy is a good bad guy. The actor's name is David Morris and he often plays bad guys and my grandma hated his characters in movies because he always was the bad guy.

Speaker 1:

But yeah, I still think it's exciting. It's a good movie. I do like this movie and I did not find it confusing and you've seen it more times than I have but I don't think I ever found it confusing. You know what's good about this? What I now have a contender for your next rewatch all Well at 125.

Speaker 2:

Yep, you better remember this one. Yeah, the first one.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, this is the last movie directed by Richard Donner. Okay, a really good director. He directed the Lethal Weapon movies. Okay, I love those movies. Can't wait till we see them.

Speaker 2:

Okay, please tell me about.

Speaker 1:

En Dialo Mit Hjärta.

Speaker 2:

Yes.

Speaker 1:

Yes, okay, so this is a movie. It's a musical, almost like Mamma Mia, but for the Swedish singer-songwriter Tomas Ledin, and so this movie is really based on existing songs by this Swedish musician, thomas Ledin. They took his songs and made a movie out of those.

Speaker 2:

I did not know that Okay.

Speaker 1:

That's how they made this one. It's almost like Mamma Mia, but the Swedish version and another songwriter.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

So this movie it's like a relationship comedy. So this movie it's like a relationship comedy. It's a lot of relationships in this one and there are romantic relationships and there are misunderstandings. It's funny. It has some slapstick comedy that I like.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

And they sing some songs. What am I missing?

Speaker 2:

It's funny.

Speaker 1:

It is funny.

Speaker 2:

It is funny and the director.

Speaker 1:

The director is the same guy who directed Et Sista Res that we watched at the cinema.

Speaker 2:

Last year yeah, last year, almost a year ago which was also really funny, really funny.

Speaker 1:

It has the same actress, malin Åkerman.

Speaker 2:

And the other one.

Speaker 1:

Johan Ulveson. Her dad in this movie, yeah very funny. Yeah.

Speaker 2:

I like her. Yes, I think she's cool. I enjoyed this movie.

Speaker 1:

Okay, yes, so you know, I did too.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I thought it was very funny. It was a good movie, yeah.

Speaker 1:

I like also that they kind of satirize the musical things as well. You know, like at the end of the big musical number, instead of sliding perfectly, she falls off the table afterwards, the one leading the song usually got heard in the end.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it was funny.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's kind of fun. It's also kind of a satire of it as well as a good musical.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it was good.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Do you have a favorite song?

Speaker 1:

Oh, I was thinking about that. I'm like I like this song, it's a pretty good song, and then I like this song too, it's a pretty good song. I really don't know which one I like the best. Do you have a favorite one?

Speaker 2:

I like Malin's first song. You can need to put me in that one. And then the one that the ventriloquist guy.

Speaker 1:

Oh yeah, edwin. Yeah, jonas Carlson is the actor.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, the one that he did towards the end.

Speaker 1:

Oh yeah, after the act. Yeah, yeah, I one that he did towards the end, oh, yeah, after the act yeah. Yeah, I like that one.

Speaker 2:

I like that one. Whatever it was, I don't remember, but I liked it.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, it was cool. It was kind of cool to see how he went from the ventriloquist act into the musical, you know, into singing.

Speaker 2:

I thought it was kind of funny when he was doing the ventriloquist act. His face was like completely like shut down.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Like dead. Yeah, Like straight face the entire time. Yeah, that's funny.

Speaker 1:

It was also kind of funny. Her dad and his mom was like this is really weird yeah.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, funny weird.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah. Funny movie. Yeah, I did like it.

Speaker 2:

I liked it too Good.

Speaker 1:

This was the one when we were talking about Swedish musicals, this was the first one that popped into my mind. Okay, so that's why I wanted to end the musicals with this one. Yeah, for this time.

Speaker 2:

There's more musicals we might get around to another time yeah. But after this we're going to slide into the Swedish movies.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

So there's going to be a lot of talk about Swedish movies.

Speaker 1:

Yes, from now on. Yeah, so you have to bear with us with this.

Speaker 2:

Yes, they're good movies. Yeah, but they are in Swedish.

Speaker 1:

The coming movies are like music movies, but not musical, musical Okay, so I still have some like music movies if you know what I mean.

Speaker 2:

Yep, okay, good, all right, anything else?

Speaker 1:

We're probably gonna continue this musical talk after the break maybe.

Speaker 2:

So we'll see. Yeah, maybe the break that we're gonna take now yeah, let's do that now okay, then we're gonna take a break and we will be right back yep bye. Hello and welcome back.

Speaker 1:

Yes.

Speaker 2:

Not episode, but part two of episode 101.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, like the Dalmatians.

Speaker 2:

Just like the Dalmatians.

Speaker 1:

Lots of spots.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yes, I guessians Lots of spots.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Yes.

Speaker 1:

I guess we have lots of spots. I don't know if we do or not?

Speaker 2:

Are you seeing spots? Maybe?

Speaker 1:

Maybe. Alright, yeah, let's say that Okay.

Speaker 2:

Let's just jump into this next part.

Speaker 1:

Okay.

Speaker 2:

Do you know what we're doing?

Speaker 1:

I think we know. I think we know. I think I know what we're doing. I think I think we know. I think we know. I think I know what we're doing all right because this was my idea, right? Yes, but we usually do this when you know things come to an end right things, things not big things. The musicals have come to an end, yeah, so so we decided on making a you know top ten. Well, yes. Yeah, top ten list you for your favorites and me for my.

Speaker 2:

Yes, we both made a top ten musicals list.

Speaker 1:

And I also made a bottom five.

Speaker 2:

Yes, so do you want to go first? Bottom five yes. So do you want to go first and then with your top 10 and then I can do my top 10 and you can do your bottom five. Yeah, okay, sounds good, okay, so yeah, ready, yes.

Speaker 1:

This is probably going to make people upset.

Speaker 2:

That's okay.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that is okay, okay, so my number 10.

Speaker 2:

In no particular order, right, or did you put it in order?

Speaker 1:

No, I did.

Speaker 2:

Okay, it is in a particular order. Yeah, okay, yeah, number 10.

Speaker 1:

So number 10, the Wizard of Oz. Okay, this is such an iconic movie, it's such a before-its-time kind of thing, one of the early colored picture movies, and it has some good songs and, yeah, it kind of feels like a magical movie and it's really nice, although there are movies I like better, you know, musicals. But, since this is such a classic, it deserves a spot on my list. Good Okay. Number nine Okay, this feels almost silly. Now why did I Okay the Greatest Showman?

Speaker 2:

The Greatest.

Speaker 1:

Showman, the Greatest Showman. Mm-hmm, I'm drunk the Greatest Showman.

Speaker 2:

Okay.

Speaker 1:

Yes, I don't know the Greatest Showman. Okay, yes, I don't know. It was really good songs, a couple of them, and I did feel like this was something extra. It had the circus thing and it was also magical. Yeah, number eight Disenchanted.

Speaker 2:

Okay, yeah.

Speaker 1:

I'm gonna say number seven, also Enchanted. So I have both of them and I think that Enchanted was such a fun movie to watch. I never watched that before. It was really fun to see the fairy tale classic cartoon movie coming into real life. It was really fun for me. Me and I really liked that one. And Disenchanted, although not as good as the first one, still was good enough and kept a strong continuation of the first one. So I really liked the second one too and despite it being several years after the first one, you know it wasn't a direct sequel. So yeah, I I really like both of them. So that's why those are my number eight and seven and then number six mama mia, the movie movie yeah, okay I'm a swede.

Speaker 2:

I like yes.

Speaker 1:

I like ABBA. Yes, that's how it is, and.

Speaker 2:

That's just how it is, yeah.

Speaker 1:

It's a law here.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, you have to like ABBA yeah.

Speaker 1:

So that's why it absolutely deserves a spot on my top 10 list. It's great, fun and visually stunning Great music.

Speaker 2:

Oh well, yes.

Speaker 1:

Of course. And then number five this might be a disagreement, I don't know Grease 2.

Speaker 2:

Okay.

Speaker 1:

I could not believe how fun that movie was.

Speaker 2:

Okay.

Speaker 1:

Because I liked the first one and then I'm like the second one. My first thought about the second one was no, it's not going to be any good. Yeah, it's not gonna be any good. Yeah, it's not the same characters, and but that's kind of a good thing, because it's really its own movie.

Speaker 1:

It has nothing to do with the first one, almost almost almost that's like the best thing they could do create a new story and have fun with it and have great songs. I really like the songs in this movie and it was great fun for me to watch this movie.

Speaker 2:

And I brought down your expectations quite a bit because I wasn't a huge fan of the movie.

Speaker 1:

No, I know, it really blew my mind. That's my number five and then number four. I just had to put Grease, because this was kind of the only. Maybe Mamma Mia, but more than Mamma Mia and this one, grease, the first one. I don't think I've seen that many musicals, if we leave the Disney movies.

Speaker 2:

Right, Disney is a different category. Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 1:

So this is the musical I've seen before. We started watching musicals really and Mamma Mia and I think it's great, great songs. I like the era that it's set in. You know Great actors Olivia Newton-John, john Travolta. Very good, I don't know what to say more than that. It's a good movie. Number three, a movie I almost never heard of before the Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Speaker 2:

Yes.

Speaker 1:

Yes, the only thing I had like seen, or yeah, or like förknippade, you know.

Speaker 2:

Oh God know, I've never heard that one.

Speaker 1:

Okay, sorry the only thing that related that movie to me, you know, was a pair of lips yeah, because that's yeah, that's the poster for the movie, and that's it. I really did not know anything about this movie except for the lips.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Before watching the movie. And it turns out it's a really funny movie, weird one. Very weird oh yes, but in a great way, in a fun way, very creative. And also the facts you gave me while watching, or like small Easter eggs and things only a big fan would know. Like I never heard about Richard O'Brien before, then I'm like, oh, that guy's really cool.

Speaker 2:

He is so cool yeah.

Speaker 1:

Another fun fact was when Susan Sarandon gets stabbed.

Speaker 2:

Oh yeah, she gets stabbed in the hand. Yeah, but she gets Barry Boswick. Yeah, right, she gets him back later on in the movie. Yeah, she steps on his foot in the high heels.

Speaker 1:

Oh, yeah, movie. Yeah, she steps on his foot in the high heels. Oh yeah, that also elevated the experience for me when you could point those things out so I could see that it was really a good experience. So that's a tip for people who never seen rocky horror picture show before watch. Watch it with Lauren so she can point out all the small things.

Speaker 2:

Or any other big vans who know things.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, but I don't think no one will be as good as Lauren. I don't know. Anyhow, it's a great movie, great fun. I really enjoyed it.

Speaker 2:

We've seen it a few times. Yes, I really enjoyed it. We've seen it a few times.

Speaker 1:

Yes, and I have enjoyed it every time. Good and number two this is also a movie that I've heard about before but never watched and was really interested in, and that is Little Shop of Horrors, and also such a perfect movie of horrors and also such a perfect movie. You know the. It has the perfect for lack of better words feeling. You know the perfect vibe and mood. I love the practical effects. Oh, I so love the practical effects of the yesteryear, instead of all the cgi that's going on right now. But that movie is so, so, also so fun to see. And the the flower thing, audrey too yeah, the plants yeah, the plant, uh, great, yeah, great songs.

Speaker 1:

It's a great. So that's my number two. Now my number one. I don't know, maybe you guessed what it is.

Speaker 2:

I don't know. I don't know.

Speaker 1:

I'm singing in the rain. All right, I love singing in the rain. That movie blew my mind. It has awesome songs, it has everything. It has the dance numbers.

Speaker 2:

Insane, insane.

Speaker 1:

So I can't even believe how much they must have worked for that.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I can't even imagine. No, no, that's what I was trying to say the practice, yeah and the timing and they dance very complicated choreography, choreography yeah, something like that yeah you know what I mean, people know what I mean does it very synchronized.

Speaker 1:

I knew that one good for quite extended shots and such a joy to see, and it is really a classic. I can't even describe it. It's so great. Yeah, that's going to be my number one. That's difficult to top for me. All right, yeah, that's number one. That's my top ten list.

Speaker 2:

All right, my turn, yeah, okay.

Speaker 1:

Now listen to the person who can speak.

Speaker 2:

Okay, so my list isn't exactly in order, except for, like, the top three are in order. The rest is just a bunch of movies.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, but it is ten.

Speaker 2:

There are ten, yes, so um my number ten is Rent.

Speaker 1:

Okay.

Speaker 2:

I Did not. Well, I did enjoy it the first time I watched it, but not as thoroughly as the second or the rewatch that we're Can talk. Yeah, all right.

Speaker 1:

You jinxed me there. I'm sorry for screwing that up. Yeah.

Speaker 2:

I didn't enjoy it as much as I did while we watched it.

Speaker 1:

Okay, so the second time we watched it.

Speaker 2:

The second time we watched it. Yeah, yeah, we did watch it twice, didn't we?

Speaker 1:

We did Because we watched it once and I said I didn't like it as much, yeah, and that became a problem yeah not just with you. It was your sister, it was a lot of people who didn't like the fact that you didn't like Rent. But I have explained that. I thought it was going to be you know funny. I didn't expect it to be a drama musical.

Speaker 2:

Right.

Speaker 1:

The second time I saw it. It was much better when I knew what to expect.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

And it has really good music in it. Mm-hmm, it does. And why am I talking when?

Speaker 2:

Because I want to hear your point of view as well. Yeah, okay. Okay, so Rent number nine is rent uh number nine. I put shock treatment. Oh, okay, yeah, because I I did enjoy it a lot more the second time I watched it again yeah, I really Again. Yeah, I really like the soundtrack. It is not Rocky Horror.

Speaker 1:

No.

Speaker 2:

But it is still an enjoyable movie.

Speaker 1:

Mo-me.

Speaker 2:

Mo-me.

Speaker 1:

This again.

Speaker 2:

Yes, I can't get over it Movie.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

It's still a very enjoyable movie if you give it a chance.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, it is. It has good music in it.

Speaker 2:

It does. I do like the soundtrack number eight, I put down spice world okay, yeah because spice girls you have mama mia. For me it is a lot to enjoy the spice girls oh yes, I like the spice girls a lot, so I put down spiceice World as my number eight.

Speaker 1:

Maybe I should re-watch that one, because I don't know how much I remember. I remember they go in a bus.

Speaker 2:

Yes, there's a bus involved. I also grew up on that movie.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that also can have great influence.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, number seven is Pitch, perfect oh yeah. I love this movie and the entire trilogy, all of them in one Pitch Perfect trilogy. Yeah.

Speaker 1:

I wanted to pick the Pitch Perfects, but they were three movies. So, I'm like that's going to take too much space. So they are really on my honorable mentions.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Absolutely. I love them.

Speaker 2:

Well, I'm putting all three in one.

Speaker 1:

Okay.

Speaker 2:

Pitch Perfect everything. Number seven I love the acapella.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

And Rebel Wilson.

Speaker 1:

So funny, she's funny. And I really like and she became like an action star in the third one yes, yes, she did and I love, I love anna kendrick she's so she's so funny and like down to earth.

Speaker 2:

And so cool number six I have inside, yeah bo burnham, oh yeah I love the songs I sing along all the time. Yep, and it's just, it's funny yeah it's so funny. Do you remember that?

Speaker 1:

one.

Speaker 2:

I remember the comedy song yes yeah and the fact that he made the entire movie himself is just yeah, during the pandemic yeah, it was so good. Number five is yellow submarine oh yeah I love the beatles. I love this movie. I grew up on this one too. It's so funny. It takes a few times to actually get the jokes sometimes yeah, because they go so fast. It's like one after the other.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

And it's so funny and it's the Beatles.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Everyone loves the Beatles.

Speaker 1:

They should, they should. Yeah, I'm sure there are people that are anti-Beatles.

Speaker 2:

I don't know, that's wrong.

Speaker 1:

I don't get those people.

Speaker 2:

No, I don't associate with that kind of person.

Speaker 1:

No, no, I don't associate with that kind of person.

Speaker 2:

No, my number four is Rocketman. Oh, I was thinking about that one too. But Rocketman the first time I, or the first few times I, watched it because, I've seen it many times now. I teared up at the end. Yeah, so, there were feelings and I love Ellen and John and everything is so good.

Speaker 1:

It is a really good movie and it is a great way to make a biopic yeah Like that and a musical in one.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Very creative.

Speaker 2:

Very good and I love that one, number three, the Wiz Michael Jackson.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

I love Michael.

Speaker 1:

Jackson. Yeah, I had the Wizard of Oz. Yeah, I love Michael Jackson. Yeah, I had the Wizard of Oz. Yeah, well, it was like the same thing, same thing, yeah except mine has Michael Jackson and.

Speaker 2:

Diana Ross.

Speaker 1:

Oh, not Donna Summer.

Speaker 2:

What is a Donna Summer?

Speaker 1:

That's a good question.

Speaker 2:

So funny Number two.

Speaker 1:

Oh, you don't even need your phone for this. I don't't even need to I.

Speaker 2:

I memorized the rest of my list the last two number two. I have hamilton hamilton I've seen a million times and not the swedish, not the swedish one. That's not a music american version okay I've listened to the soundtrack a million times and it's so good. It really is so good.

Speaker 1:

I would love to re-watch it with you yeah, we will probably I hope so I really like the parts with the king yeah, he's the best part he is really the best part.

Speaker 2:

He is really the best part. He is With Kristoff.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 2:

So his name Jeff the actor, yeah, Kristoff.

Speaker 1:

Now I felt like I knew his name just as 30 seconds ago.

Speaker 2:

Okay.

Speaker 1:

Jonathan Groff.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, not Jeff.

Speaker 1:

No, I'm sorry.

Speaker 2:

His name is not Jeff.

Speaker 1:

Why would I say, jeff, I don't know, but you agreed with me'm sorry, his name is not Jeff.

Speaker 2:

Why would I say Jeff? I don't know, but you agreed with me at first. His name is probably Jeff, it's not. Jeff, no, no, but I mean, if you put, If you combine his first name and his last name, then it's Jeff.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, and put an E there.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

For fun.

Speaker 2:

Or if you dropped the E and just said Jif.

Speaker 1:

Yeah. Or if you put Anathan Gra squish it together, that becomes an E.

Speaker 2:

I think so. Yeah, if you really condense all the letters, it might end up being an E Okay anyway, so that's.

Speaker 1:

Jeff, jeff, he should be a Jeff, he should be a Jeff.

Speaker 2:

He seems like a Jeff.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, From now on he's a Jeff.

Speaker 2:

Yes.

Speaker 1:

We should let him know yeah we're gonna, we'll tag him. He'll get this.

Speaker 2:

Yeah Anyway, hamilton Lin-Manuel Miranda.

Speaker 1:

Miranda Man-. Like the rights, like the rice Rights the right Miranda manual. Like the rights, like the rice Rights, the right Miranda rights.

Speaker 2:

Miranda.

Speaker 1:

Have you ever heard of those?

Speaker 2:

No Miranda rights. Yeah, are those things, or is that a person?

Speaker 1:

You have the right to be silent. You have the right to an attorney or whatever. Have you ever heard those words?

Speaker 2:

Yes, I've heard those words, but what's that got to do with Miranda you?

Speaker 1:

have been arrested before.

Speaker 2:

I have not. No, I haven't. I've seen movies, though. Other people have been arrested.

Speaker 1:

In your presence.

Speaker 2:

While I watched the movie. Okay, yeah, okay, so I was in the presence, I guess in a way.

Speaker 1:

No, I think that they arrested a guy with the last name Miranda and I don't know if he got free or it was some kind of since they never said those words, they started to use those sentences because of that guy. After that, I'm not sure I don't know what I'm talking about no but I know that the guy was named miranda in his last name, last name, okay, okay yes um, anyway, what I was trying to say was that lynn manual miranda did an amazing job with this whole Hamilton thing. Right.

Speaker 2:

And he did a great job performing.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, very cool to do the rapping like that.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

I could not do that.

Speaker 2:

No, I could not do that.

Speaker 1:

I could not do that.

Speaker 2:

I could not do that.

Speaker 1:

I could not do that.

Speaker 2:

No, I am.

Speaker 1:

Okay, no, anyway, what Wait?

Speaker 2:

Were you going to say something?

Speaker 1:

I think so All right.

Speaker 2:

Let's take a break while Matias tries to figure out what he's trying to say.

Speaker 1:

I thought I would be a better Actor. No, I thought I would be a better rapper than I am. I can't rap for crap. Ooh rhyme. I'm a good rhymer though.

Speaker 2:

You can rhyme, but you can't rap. Nope, I'll let that for Try rapping, then I can't do that Okay.

Speaker 1:

But you haven't finished.

Speaker 2:

Can you do, eminem?

Speaker 1:

Eminem.

Speaker 2:

All right, good job, you're a rapper now Yep. You said Eminem.

Speaker 1:

Or, like a colleague to us said, enema.

Speaker 2:

Enema. His name is Enema.

Speaker 1:

He called Eminem Enema, and it wasn't even a joke. No, he just called me enema, and it wasn't even a joke.

Speaker 2:

No, you just called me enema.

Speaker 1:

You know enema.

Speaker 2:

What? I'm not sure, that's his name.

Speaker 1:

Funny Might be a little off. You have number one.

Speaker 2:

Number one.

Speaker 1:

I wonder what that can be.

Speaker 2:

Okay, this is going to come as a shock. My number one is Fiddler on the Roof. Wow, no, obviously it's Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Speaker 1:

Oh okay, is that the only one we shared? We watched.

Speaker 2:

Yes, yes.

Speaker 1:

Yes, it is, we had only one.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, we only shared the one.

Speaker 1:

Okay, yeah.

Speaker 2:

This one I like because I really grew up on it at an inappropriate age. Yeah, I would say so I watched it and it stuck with me all throughout my life, and I love it just as much now as the first time I saw it.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I don't know how old I was when I first saw it, but I must have been like 30, over 30 at least.

Speaker 2:

At least over 30. Yeah.

Speaker 1:

And I feel like that was an inappropriate age Inappropriate. Inappropriate age.

Speaker 2:

Yes, it is the same thing. I was like four yeah, that's worse that's worse. Yeah, I'd say so, or around there I could be wrong I don't know yeah, let's, uh, let's go on to your bottom five okay, my bottom five these are your least favorites yeah, yeah, Okay.

Speaker 1:

So my number five. That's the one I like the best of these.

Speaker 2:

Okay.

Speaker 1:

So number five, Number five, that's Fame from 2009. Okay, the remake, and I mean I cannot tell you what happened in that movie. It was so bland and I don't really remember anything about that movie. The first one had such an anxiety vibe to it you know the teenage angst and it really felt.

Speaker 2:

I felt something in my heart Wow, that doesn't happen, no Ever. No, that one had happen, no Ever.

Speaker 1:

No, that one had a couple good songs that really stuck, while the new one did nothing. I can't tell you anything about the new one. I don't remember. I think it was like it felt very bland. I don't know. I just remember it as orange. That's like I don't know it. I just remember it as orange, that's like I don't know. That's uh okay, but I don't know. That's like the only thing I got on this movie. It's the color orange. I don't know why.

Speaker 2:

I just remember. You didn't like the rapping part, okay, so Because they rapped in this one, okay, yeah.

Speaker 1:

I don't even remember that. Okay, that's how uninterested I was, I guess.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

So no, this movie did not impress me at all, and I'm not that against rapping, because they are rapping in Hamilton and that wasn't a good movie.

Speaker 2:

I just remember in recording you were like I didn't really care for the rap crap.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, okay.

Speaker 2:

I think that was a direct quote.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I was good at rhyming back then as well.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, back then A few months ago. Yeah.

Speaker 1:

So that movie did nothing for me. Okay, and then number four Hedwig and the Angry Inch.

Speaker 2:

Oh my goodness, what a weird movie yeah.

Speaker 1:

I don't know what was that movie about. I mean, it was a sex change that didn't go as planned.

Speaker 2:

It was so weird.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, too weird and I didn't like it.

Speaker 2:

No, I didn't care for it either.

Speaker 1:

No, I think I only liked one song, I mean light. It was okay, and more than that no.

Speaker 2:

Whatever?

Speaker 1:

I don't really care too much for that one. And then I have number three, Tommy.

Speaker 2:

So weird yeah much for that one and then I have number three, tommy.

Speaker 1:

So weird, yeah, such a weird drug-induced yeah movie and what the who really went crazy with this one.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, oh, yeah it was the pinball wizard movie. Oh yeah.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's true.

Speaker 2:

So weird.

Speaker 1:

I guess I didn't get it and I think I had too high expectations for this one, since it said it was like a rock opera.

Speaker 2:

Rock opera.

Speaker 1:

It wasn't really no, and I was like yeah, rock, I like rock. Yeah so this is going to be good. And then it turned out to be the movie Tommy.

Speaker 2:

And it wasn't as great, it wasn't good. No, so I was really disappointed with this movie.

Speaker 1:

It was like near the end I felt some hope that the movie ended. That was the best part.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

So, yeah, I don't want to watch that again. I think no, no, Number two All that Jazz.

Speaker 2:

It's good that I don't remember what happened in this one.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Was this the no? The Jazz Singer was the first musical ever.

Speaker 1:

But, All that jazz. That was like the adult fame With the dance teacher and.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, no this was no director.

Speaker 1:

He was a director for some kind of show. Not a good movie, not a good one, and also I don't know if I would call it a musical. That's why I'm a little bit iffy with this list. But on imdb it's classed as a musical, so I'm gonna count it as one, and there's really only the one musical number that's actually a musical, okay, but uh, no, not impressed and again, really weird movie it's so weird.

Speaker 2:

I don't think I liked it either no, and now to my number one I don't know which one. This one is the worst musical movie.

Speaker 1:

Okay, so this movie I have watched twice now. It's a movie called Fiddler on the Roof.

Speaker 2:

Yes, you didn't like that one. No, okay, no.

Speaker 1:

I did not Tradition.

Speaker 2:

Tradition yeah.

Speaker 1:

That's the only thing that came out of that one yeah.

Speaker 2:

That's the only thing that came out of that one.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I guess that's positive, that we can joke about the tradition and we can sing the If I Was a Rich man.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Do you love me? Yeah, and matchmaker, matchmaker. Okay, maybe I like this movie.

Speaker 2:

I think we actually, I think underneath the skin, we kind of like the movie yeah, no, um, it's three hours long yeah, and I guess it's a really boring movie, it's.

Speaker 1:

You said 16 blocks was confusing. This, this one is confusing.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I had a really hard time keeping up with it. I don't know. Yeah.

Speaker 1:

And that's for three hours of confusingness, of confusion, no confusingness.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, that's what I meant.

Speaker 1:

I did not have a great time any of the two times I watched the movies. Movie, oh, it felt like movies actually.

Speaker 1:

I did really not care for this one. And there's one moment of this movie I told you about it recently when there's a rather large character, older gentleman. He stares right into the camera with this ice cold look in his eyes and it creeps me the F out. It's like a still frame. He's staring into my soul and it never ends. It feels like, even if it's just for like five seconds, it's too much. I hate that scene so much. This movie is about a guy trying to give away his daughter to a fat old man To marry. To marry a fat old man.

Speaker 1:

And like she's she doesn't even want to, and like she's, she doesn't even want to. No, no, like she's a cattle, like selling an animal, yeah and no I.

Speaker 2:

It's wrong.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, it's so wrong. I did not like this movie at all. Actually. I'm sorry if you, I'm really disappointed yeah.

Speaker 2:

But, matias, you know know what I changed my mind. I also I'm, I'm inspired by your list. I also want to have a bottom five okay except not in any particular order. I'm just gonna list off some that I did not like either. Is it five I? I think I can manage five Okay.

Speaker 1:

At least Good.

Speaker 2:

Okay, so the first one that I have, sweeney Todd.

Speaker 1:

Okay.

Speaker 2:

I did not like Sweeney Todd the first time I watched it. I did not like Sweeney Todd the second time I watched it either.

Speaker 1:

No.

Speaker 2:

I have a huge issue with this movie. I don't like the songs. I love the cast. If it had better songs it would be way With this movie. I don't like the songs.

Speaker 1:

I love the cast yeah.

Speaker 2:

If it had better songs it would be way better, but I just I don't, I don't. And the blood, it looks so fake.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

And I can't get past that either. No, no Like you said I didn't even want to watch this movie. No.

Speaker 1:

And, like you said, it's a great cast.

Speaker 2:

The cast is amazing. Yeah, for any other movie, the director is really good, oh my. God, everything is good except for like the songs. I mean even the storyline, the plot and everything. I would totally go for it if the songs were better.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

And the effects.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

My next one is gonna be Hair.

Speaker 1:

Hair Okay.

Speaker 2:

I didn't like that one either. I thought it was weird. Yeah, it's such a hippie movie.

Speaker 1:

It is.

Speaker 2:

Like over the top hippie movie and I just I wasn't into it, I got bored and I got distracted and I stopped watchingie movie and I just I wasn't into it.

Speaker 1:

I got bored and I got distracted and I stopped watching the movie. Yeah, I didn't mind it that much, but yeah.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, that's all I had to say about that.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, and I thought it was fun that we watched that movie and Fearless Hyena on the same night and that both are from 79. Fun fact.

Speaker 2:

My number three, the King and I.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I was thinking that I didn't care for that one either.

Speaker 2:

No, it was boring, it was long and also kind of ridiculous. The guy has 4, kids yeah and he, I don't know, doesn't like any of them I guess, I preferred sound of music over this one yeah, they were both very similar yeah but uh, yeah, this one is just. There was nothing really that exciting about it?

Speaker 1:

No, I just thought it was fun to see Yul Brynner in another role than his Western gunslinger role.

Speaker 2:

Okay.

Speaker 1:

That I know him better for.

Speaker 2:

All right, those three. Number four is going to be Purple Rain.

Speaker 1:

Oh yeah, the Prince movie. That was a disappointment.

Speaker 2:

It was a major disappointment. I like Prince. That was a disappointment. It was A major disappointment.

Speaker 1:

I like Prince yeah.

Speaker 2:

I didn't care for his movie.

Speaker 1:

No, it even got a sequel.

Speaker 2:

Mm-hmm.

Speaker 1:

But we're like nah, maybe not.

Speaker 2:

I'm okay, thank them.

Speaker 1:

If that would have been a good movie. You know Purple Rain.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Maybe we would have seen the other one, but since the first one was bad, there's no reason to watch the second one, I think, yeah, all right, am I number five?

Speaker 2:

oh, I could go on, honestly, but I'm gonna leave it at this one. Uh, jesus christ superstar really okay, yeah also a very weird movie. I did not care for it.

Speaker 1:

No.

Speaker 2:

Long Kind of boring.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Couldn't keep up and I didn't care to.

Speaker 1:

No.

Speaker 2:

And that's what I thought.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

That's my bottom five.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, jesus Christ Superstar, directed by the guy who directed Fiddler on the Roof.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, so we're pretty much tied there.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, we're not great fans of Norman Jewison, I guess.

Speaker 2:

No, I guess not. Did I mention your honorable, dishonorable mention?

Speaker 1:

No, you didn't.

Speaker 2:

Okay, what was that then?

Speaker 1:

The Miserables.

Speaker 2:

Okay, the Miserables wasn't as bad as I remembered it.

Speaker 1:

It was still long.

Speaker 2:

It was still.

Speaker 1:

It was still long, it was still.

Speaker 2:

It was still bad, though Depressing and it was. Miserable.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

But the second time around wasn't so bad.

Speaker 1:

I'm not a huge fan of that movie, though. I feel like I want more upbeat movies. That one wasn't my cup of tea, okay, but yes, during my rewatch of the movie it was better than the first time, but still not a good movie.

Speaker 2:

Do we want to continue with honorable mentions, or are we good here?

Speaker 1:

I'm interested.

Speaker 2:

All right, some honorable mentions that have not been mentioned, some that did not make it into my list but deserved a spot. Yeah, moul a spot yeah, moulin Rouge.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, okay, yes.

Speaker 2:

I love that movie Also Chicago.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

It's a good movie. I like it. The Blues Brothers Not much of a musical, no, but still classed as a musical and I enjoyed it.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Also just for fun. Rock of Ages.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Maybe not the best movie, but it's a fun movie.

Speaker 1:

It is a fun movie.

Speaker 2:

I love the song it has rock. It does actually have rock.

Speaker 1:

It's not an opera no.

Speaker 2:

But I like the song mashups.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Those are my favorite part.

Speaker 1:

I must say that Annie, get get your gun. Was pretty that was a good one that was enjoyable yeah better than we thought it would be yeah so that was also a good surprise that you know yeah too. Yeah, and yeah, most of these are just, you know, in the middle Also one I didn't really like that much Guys and Dolls.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it could have been better if it was remade, I think.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, it wasn't a very feminist movie. Oh no, I guess not.

Speaker 2:

I also have some dishonorable mentions. I think I have three. Okay, um, I'm gonna start with xanadu. I wasn't a huge fan of that no.

Speaker 1:

No, it was weird it was weird.

Speaker 2:

It was kind of dull, could have been better. Sorry, olivia newton, john yeah, and gene galley uh, paint your wagon wasn't a huge fan.

Speaker 1:

okay, sorry, it was clint eastwood it was fun to hear Clint Eastwood sing though. Yeah, that was fun. That was the best thing about it.

Speaker 2:

The rest of the story was meh and chess.

Speaker 1:

Oh, okay, yeah.

Speaker 2:

I didn't really get it, I think.

Speaker 1:

No, okay.

Speaker 2:

Not according to my memory.

Speaker 1:

No.

Speaker 2:

It was a couple of guys playing chess. Yeah, and there were Russians involved.

Speaker 1:

Hmm, yeah, well, one of the guys was a Russian.

Speaker 2:

Yes, he was involved. Yeah, but yeah, that's what I have. Yeah, okay, anything else?

Speaker 1:

An honorable mention. I have to say that today's movie was quite good actually.

Speaker 2:

Oh yeah, yes, we did watch a good movie today.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, en Dela Mitt Hjärta.

Speaker 2:

Yes, it was funny.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I did like it.

Speaker 2:

Sorry, I had to remember what did we even watch today?

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I was like. I thought you were like okay, you like that.

Speaker 2:

No, no, it was more like I have to reboot my memory here. Yeah.

Speaker 1:

No, I did actually really enjoy that one. I did too. So yes, so far, so far. We're still watching it. Yeah, but yes it was good yeah.

Speaker 2:

Anything else.

Speaker 1:

No, I feel like we did good here.

Speaker 2:

We did. I like our lists.

Speaker 1:

I kind of felt, as you were putting one Swedish musical down, I'm like I have to lift one up.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

But yes, even though I still like today's movie, all right.

Speaker 2:

Well, that was that. Like today's movie All right. Well, that was that.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Matias.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

As we wrap this up, would you like to tell me what is it that's ruining your life right now?

Speaker 1:

I mean, I'm going to say what was the problem on Monday. Okay, that I got to know that I might not get my vacation after Christmas.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, you weren't even offered another period. No, they just said no you can't have your vacation at all.

Speaker 1:

And that felt so unfair, since most people at work are going to get their vacation days. But since the department where I'm working now have so much to do, they can't let people take vacation, and it's like you can get other people to do the things I do. I mean, everyone should have the opportunity to get their vacation. We have the right to get the vacation we want. I mean sure, if one period is overbooked, then I take another one. It's not that difficult.

Speaker 1:

But as it looks now, I'm not going to get any vacation days and that's not okay, no, but hopefully they can solve this, since it sounded like they were on our side. Yeah, so yeah, that's probably what's ruining my life this week. Yeah, how about you?

Speaker 2:

I feel like, is this gonna be Unrepetitive?

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Uh, cake is a problem.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

I love it. It doesn't love me back, no, no, and that's a problem that I don't like.

Speaker 1:

Another thing that's ruining my life is that I'm out of sips.

Speaker 2:

That is a problem. I'm also out of sips.

Speaker 1:

Yep.

Speaker 2:

You know what that means.

Speaker 1:

We have to end this.

Speaker 2:
