Speaker 2:We're not gonna come up with words at all.
Speaker 1:Today, words are Do you have anything to talk about?
Speaker 2:Yes.
Speaker 1:Okay, please tell me what you want to talk about.
Speaker 2:I want to tell you that I am feeling a lot better than I was last week.
Speaker 1:A little bit better.
Speaker 2:I would say 2% better.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I mean, you seemed like you felt pretty good last week.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I was feeling amazing.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:And I am 2% more than amazing today.
Speaker 1:Yeah, you know all the oh my stomach and all that, that was just fake.
Speaker 2:Yeah, you know how my acting is. I'm such a good actor. I didn't even take lessons. I was born that way.
Speaker 1:Wow, yeah, very cool. Yeah, I wish I was as good of an actor as you are, but I'm not.
Speaker 2:I wish you were too.
Speaker 1:I wish you were better yeah.
Speaker 2:Than you are.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I suck at that.
Speaker 2:Yes, so shall we.
Speaker 1:Maybe we should.
Speaker 2:Let's get this over with.
Speaker 1:Yeah, all right, okay, whee.
Speaker 2:I have larger sips today.
Speaker 1:Yeah, you have a monster.
Speaker 2:Monster sips.
Speaker 1:Yeah yeah, you have a monster Monster chips yeah, skål, skål Good right.
Speaker 2:It was that good yeah.
Speaker 1:My stomach answered.
Speaker 2:Yeah, stomach, stomach, stomach.
Speaker 1:I'm a cow All seven.
Speaker 2:All seven of my stomachs enjoyed that.
Speaker 1:Yes.
Speaker 2:Yes, okay, it's your turn. It's my turn, so apparently it's the editor who.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I guess, so says hello.
Speaker 2:Mr Editor.
Speaker 1:No, you did it. No, I can't.
Speaker 2:All I said was hello.
Speaker 1:Yeah, exactly, I started it, I guess. Okay well how are you doing today? So that means you have to edit this. Yeah, oh no no, no, no, no I can't do that. No, I could not do that. You could not do that I could not do that. Okay, now we have to shut up so I can start this. Hello and welcome to Roasty Toasty Ghosty. My name is Mattias.
Speaker 2:I'm Lauren. No, oh, no, no.
Speaker 1:No, no, no, no, no, no, no. I was going to say yesterday, but it wasn't yesterday. No, it was last week, right? So how are you today?
Speaker 2:I am so happy, I'm so thrilled to be here with you.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:I'm 2% better than I was last week. Actually, no, I feel way better than last week.
Speaker 1:Okay, good, and how are you? I'm even sicker this time. No, I'm kidding, I'm not on the floor. Yeah, I can't stand up anymore.
Speaker 2:We've done that. We did that once.
Speaker 1:What.
Speaker 2:We sat on the floor in there.
Speaker 1:Yes, yes, but that's because we didn't have anything else to sit on.
Speaker 2:Right.
Speaker 1:Yeah, that's true.
Speaker 2:This room was empty.
Speaker 1:And it was echoey, echoey. Okay, so, yes, I'm good. I am much better this week. Good, although I do, you know, sniffle, yep, yep, yep. That's what I do, that's my thing now.
Speaker 2:I don't feel like I overate today.
Speaker 1:You no.
Speaker 2:I know that I did eat more than I usually do.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:But I don't have that extreme discomfort. No, that I usually will have on Fridays.
Speaker 1:Hmm, did you have that last week?
Speaker 2:It is probable.
Speaker 1:Okay.
Speaker 2:That I might have.
Speaker 1:Okay, okay.
Speaker 2:I had slight discomfort due to over consumption of edible products that are not good for me.
Speaker 1:But it's not a drug either. No, it's not drugs.
Speaker 2:No, not really. No Cinnamon buns.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:Not really cinnamon buns I had one of those. Yeah, there were other buns of different words are not coming easily to me. They're different words than cinnamon buns.
Speaker 1:They are buns that were not cinnamon Adjacent to cinnamon buns.
Speaker 2:Yeah, adjacent was a big word. Yeah, I know. Yeah, I wasn't really sure about that one.
Speaker 1:I learned it from a movie.
Speaker 2:Oh wow, I bet you learned all of your words from movies.
Speaker 1:That is true, because I mean most of what I learned at school. I don't remember, I mean in school we learned, like British English.
Speaker 2:Now you've upgraded to American English.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I think I'm leaning more towards American English than British.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:Although I say British, say it British-ly.
Speaker 2:British-ly yeah, british-ly, yeah. That's a thing I think.
Speaker 1:Yeah, now it is. If it wasn't, it is now.
Speaker 2:Right, so we're doing good.
Speaker 1:We are All right. Are we gonna wait with the weight? Right, I think we should wait with the weight until it's time to talk about weight okay, so we're gonna do the week first we're gonna do the week and then the weight week wait.
Speaker 2:Yes, you have to wait until the end of the week to hear about the weight yeah, wait, wait a minute, um wait a week. Wait a week and then we will. Yeah, you know what, you can wait a week and then we'll tell you about our weight, because I don't want to talk about my weight. I want to talk about the week.
Speaker 1:Yeah, okay.
Speaker 2:Wait for the week and then you get to hear about the weight.
Speaker 1:Yep, the people are so bored right now, but we're not Get to the point. Exactly.
Speaker 2:So last weekend I took Sick Child and my life partner to the city a bigger city, and that was the name of the city. Right, we went out to and we played at a playground. I think, again the same one, yep. And what else did we do? We stopped by McDonald's and I got to sit and watch people eat McDonald's. I did not order a single thing. I was very proud of myself, and then we went home. Wait, we didn't have Mad Libs last weekend.
Speaker 1:We did.
Speaker 2:We did. We didn't just go home. We found you somewhere. Yeah, you appeared here somehow.
Speaker 1:I was working.
Speaker 2:Oh right.
Speaker 1:I picked you up. Yes, you were.
Speaker 2:And that's how you arrived here. Yeah, you did and I I didn't pick you up, we all picked you up.
Speaker 1:Yeah, all people.
Speaker 2:Everyone picked you up.
Speaker 1:Yeah. And we all cheered yeah, yay, matthias is back all the people were fighting about me no, I don't want to pick him up. No, it was actually more like no you, you have to pick him up. No, you.
Speaker 2:And I can pick you up now yeah, yeah, because I'm so light we're gonna get to that yeah, you have to wait for the wait yeah, wait a week wait, wait for the week, and then we'll talk about weight um so yeah, wait a week for the weight, okay.
Speaker 1:So, uh, I, I was working right on saturday and I had a cold, but I didn't care. I I want the money.
Speaker 2:So I worked anyways anyways, yeah, you spent the night.
Speaker 1:I did, and then you went to work.
Speaker 2:Well, I brought you to work.
Speaker 1:Yes, you did.
Speaker 2:And then we picked you up from work and you came right back here and we did live Mad Libs, yeah, and it was fun, yes.
Speaker 1:Before we did live Mad Libs Right, we were playing a game.
Speaker 2:We played Exploding Kittens.
Speaker 1:Yes.
Speaker 2:It was interesting and you're only excited about it because you won. I did. Somehow.
Speaker 1:Yeah, no one knows how, but you did.
Speaker 2:And that is your special talent.
Speaker 1:Yeah, because I had no idea what I was doing. No, and somehow I win.
Speaker 2:Yeah, you managed to win.
Speaker 1:Yeah, and it's not the first time.
Speaker 2:No, you do that like almost every time.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:Except for when I cheat, and make myself win. Yeah, because you win too much.
Speaker 1:Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2:I want to win sometimes too.
Speaker 1:Yeah, so I have to cheat. Yeah, when you do that, I get upset.
Speaker 2:Yeah, that's okay.
Speaker 1:But not this time, because I won.
Speaker 2:Yeah, you were happy this time because you won.
Speaker 1:Yeah, Okay so. So we did that we did that. Live Mad Libs went well.
Speaker 2:Went. Well, it was fun.
Speaker 1:It was fun.
Speaker 2:It was fun, and then Sunday happened.
Speaker 1:Oh yeah.
Speaker 2:And I did a bunch of cleaning, I guess.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I don't think I did much. We didn't see each other that day. No, I didn't meet at all.
Speaker 2:No, it's cold outside, so I didn't want to go for a walk and I was so busy with cleaning and I really wanted to catch up on my to do list so I decided we're not gonna go for a walk.
Speaker 1:No, and was still having my cold and I'm like I know you want to go for a walk, so I I'm gonna go with you, even though I still have a cold and don't really feel like going for a walk. But um, then you said let's not.
Speaker 2:And I'm like, okay, perfect it was good for both of us, yeah so yeah it, it was good and then monday yeah monday. I I mean, we worked like we usually do, nothing exciting about that I don't think so but I went to a yoga class oh yeah I did yoga. Um, it was more of like the relaxed kind of yoga. Okay, I was expecting like a kind of training yoga, you were sleeping. It was like a sleep prep yoga.
Speaker 1:You were preparing your body to sleep.
Speaker 2:It felt like. Okay, it was mostly just like stretching.
Speaker 1:And reading a night-night book.
Speaker 2:Right, a night-night book. They read a book to me and I said night-night, night-night, bye-bye.
Speaker 1:And then the little elephant went into his bed.
Speaker 2:Yeah, we have that book actually.
Speaker 1:Yeah, okay.
Speaker 2:So yeah, I did yoga and it was nice.
Speaker 1:It's one of my favorite books, by the way.
Speaker 2:Yeah, well, the thing is that this yoga was really good because I came home afterwards and I was like so relaxed and I was nice to the kids. What? Yeah, I know it's so. Unlike me, I am a mean mom, I am a grumpy mom and I'm tired. But, I came back and I was like relaxed and I felt good and I was like I want to hear what you have to say to me, like please tell me everything that you have to say yeah, okay, not you.
Speaker 1:You were looking at me, so I'm like what do you want me to say?
Speaker 2:I want you to tell me about your day except I need to do yoga first. Okay, before, listen to you so that I will be more willing to hear what you want to tell me.
Speaker 1:So this wasn't the last time you're doing yoga.
Speaker 2:Probably not. I might do it again.
Speaker 1:On Mondays.
Speaker 2:Yeah yeah, it was at 6. So I had that short span to eat my dinner, which apparently is good for me. I need things to do, or else I consume everything. I lose control apparently.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:Yeah, good.
Speaker 1:Yeah, okay.
Speaker 2:Tuesday Tuesday was a day. Nothing super exciting about that.
Speaker 1:I don't think so.
Speaker 2:That was the day when I was Jesus. Please tell the people about that. I don't think so. That was the day when, um, I was jesus please tell the people about that okay, so I'm gonna tell you my story about when I was jesus yeah, you walked on water.
Speaker 1:No, no, I didn't okay no, I opened the door and yeah, just like j.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I opened a door, like Jesus would do, naturally, and apparently I startled a guy who was in front of me and he looks at me and he says Jesus. I was like no, lauren, my name is so difficult.
Speaker 1:Yeah, but no, it was just so funny, get it wrong all the time it was so funny because the timing was just so serious.
Speaker 2:Like no, lauren, yeah, I never think of things like that.
Speaker 1:No.
Speaker 2:I did and I thought it was so funny.
Speaker 1:Yeah, yeah, it was good Thank you.
Speaker 2:I don't know if he got it, but I think he was very confused, but he walked out the door anyway.
Speaker 1:Yeah, but I got it, yeah, and I thought it was funny. Thank you, because I was there.
Speaker 2:That's all that matters really I think is that you got it?
Speaker 1:Yeah, you witnessed yes, I witnessed you being Jesus for a brief moment.
Speaker 2:Yes, yeah, that was my Tuesday story.
Speaker 1:It was funny.
Speaker 2:It was.
Speaker 1:I don't have a funny story for her.
Speaker 2:No, no, no, that's too bad.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I'm not that exciting.
Speaker 2:No.
Speaker 1:I'm more like Judas.
Speaker 2:Is that less exciting?
Speaker 1:It means that I'm going to betray you at some point, I think. I believe that yeah, and get you crucified.
Speaker 2:I believe that too.
Speaker 1:So we'll see when.
Speaker 2:All right.
Speaker 1:Yes.
Speaker 2:We went to the gym on Wednesday. It was not that fun and exciting because there were people everywhere.
Speaker 1:Yeah, we couldn't stick to our plan.
Speaker 2:And our plan was so minimal.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I mean we wanted to bike.
Speaker 2:We just wanted to bike for like half an hour.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:We ended up doing the escalator thing. No, that's not the word.
Speaker 1:No Cross trainer.
Speaker 2:Elliptical? No, we rode the escalator the entire time. Yeah, it's an elliptical.
Speaker 1:I think A cross trainer Is that the same thing. I think so what's?
Speaker 2:the difference? Is it the same thing?
Speaker 1:I'm not sure, but I call it a cross trainer.
Speaker 2:No.
Speaker 1:No, I just wanted to. You can look it up. Sure, I just wanted to rant about people. Look it up. Sure, I just wanted to rant about people. You know, when there are three bikes, like there is at our gym, right, you know normal bikes.
Speaker 2:Normal bikes, yes, not the uncomfortable ones, no exactly.
Speaker 1:There's two in the back and one in front of them, and if you're one person, why can't you just take the one in front, so two people who are together, training together, could use the ones in the back?
Speaker 2:Yeah, that's true. On the other hand, though, I am guilty of taking the bike that I usually will bike on, even when you're not there.
Speaker 1:Okay.
Speaker 2:So I am one of those people who takes one of the bikes in the back.
Speaker 1:Yeah, but this concerns me the most when we want to bike together so we can talk to each other while biking Right.
Speaker 2:While biking.
Speaker 1:Right, and when one person is sitting on one of our bikes and the other one in front, it's not occupied. That makes me upset, or, yeah, not happy it was annoying yeah, anyway. Anyway.
Speaker 2:The gym wasn't great, but we survived anyway.
Speaker 1:Yeah, and I don't know the difference between cross-train and elliptical, and it doesn't matter. I think, we're both right.
Speaker 2:We are both right. Neither of us were really up for going to the gym. Anyway, you still weren't feeling well, and I was just so tired.
Speaker 1:True.
Speaker 2:But we got the minimal done and we got out of there. Thursday was yesterday. I did not go to my gymnastics that I usually go to.
Speaker 1:Okay.
Speaker 2:I stayed home and I prepped for Thanksgiving.
Speaker 1:Yes.
Speaker 2:We got a good-sized turkey this year. I'm very excited yeah.
Speaker 1:I didn very excited. Yeah, I didn't do much yesterday, no, but today. Today is Friday it is and Is it time for the wait? Wait with the wait a little bit, because we continued the prepping today.
Speaker 2:Right, right. Yes, we did. You did the veggie prep.
Speaker 1:I did today. Right Right, yes, we did. You did the veggie prep.
Speaker 2:I did, and I did help more this time than I have done before.
Speaker 1:You did all the veggies, all the veggies.
Speaker 2:You did all the food prep. Yes, very good.
Speaker 1:Yes, I'm proud of that.
Speaker 2:I'm proud of you.
Speaker 1:Yeah, because I usually just do one or two things and then I'm like, okay, I'm done, all done, but today I just did like all what I was supposed to do.
Speaker 2:You were a trooper.
Speaker 1:Hmm.
Speaker 2:And I baked pine and I fixed the turkey, and or I salted the turkey and put it in water.
Speaker 1:Yeah, oh yeah, someone's going to slap that thing tomorrow, oh yeah, someone's going to slap that thing.
Speaker 2:Oh yeah, someone's gonna slap that turkey. Yeah, yeah, slap the bird. It's a tradition. Now I guess, yeah, and what else do we do? That was it. I made dinner. I mean, what did I miss something?
Speaker 1:no, okay, I, I just had to burp and I did it.
Speaker 2:Uh, internally um, yeah, I made tomato soup.
Speaker 1:It was really good.
Speaker 2:And grilled cheeses. Yeah, I like they were air fried cheeses though.
Speaker 1:Oh yeah, I liked the bread with, and the soup was good, the bread was good, everything was really good, okay so Okay, sorry, is it time for wait now. Now we can wait. Okay, now we can do the wait. We have already waited, so it's time for the thing we have waited for.
Speaker 2:I'm going to prepare you here. I feel ginormous.
Speaker 1:Which is a word, by the way it is. We or I looked that up. Yeah, because it's to me that word sounds like something a kid would make up. You know, fuse the words giant and enormous into one, so that's what I always thought it was.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:Just a you know kid word.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:But it wasn't. It's an actual word.
Speaker 2:Yeah, but I mean I'm feeling giant and enormous.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:Also huge and possibly large.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:So Hularginormous is how I'm feeling right now. Yes, hularginormous, it could be a Title.
Speaker 1:Title it could be a title. It could be a dinosaur.
Speaker 2:It sounds like a dinosaur.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:So if I were a dinosaur, then I would be a Hular ginormousaurus.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:I mean if that was a dinosaur.
Speaker 1:It rolls off the tongue.
Speaker 2:If that was a dinosaur, what would it look like?
Speaker 1:It would be big, uh-huh.
Speaker 2:Or if it's ironic, it would be really small, it would be big, uh-huh. Or if it's ironic, it would be really small, it would be short and fat.
Speaker 1:Yeah, okay, yes, yeah, it's. Uh, it's wide, wider than tall and tall yeah, that's true um so it's sorry, I still like that.
Speaker 2:Yeah, yeah and um, spoiler alert. And that's not gonna get much better, especially since we're doing thanksgiving this weekend. And yeah, um, do you have your numbers? I think so do you know, compared to last friday? Where are you at?
Speaker 1:yes, I'm pretty sure, because I wrote it this morning so I can look it up, just to be on the safe side. Okay, so from last week I Lost 1.3 kilograms.
Speaker 2:Good job.
Speaker 1:Thank you.
Speaker 2:A bit better than me, okay.
Speaker 1:How much did you lose?
Speaker 2:Being the euloginormosaurus that I am, I gained 2.4 kilos.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:It's still not three.
Speaker 1:So if you want to, you can say that you did minus minus 2.4.
Speaker 2:I guess so If you want to double negative it.
Speaker 1:Yeah. And we'll see how we do next week. Does it make you feel better?
Speaker 2:No, okay, I still don't feel better.
Speaker 1:No.
Speaker 2:We'll see if I gain or lose anything next week.
Speaker 1:It's going to be interesting.
Speaker 2:Yes, hope for the best.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:Low expectations, though.
Speaker 1:Yeah, please no Be nice to me. Don't get high, okay Expectations.
Speaker 2:Don't get high.
Speaker 1:Expectations.
Speaker 2:It's also Friday, so would you like to move on?
Speaker 1:Yeah, let's move on.
Speaker 2:Okay, tonight we watched hold on, let it come to me North. Also, we watched Blackjack, yes, so I'm going to tell you about North. Okay, this is a movie with Bruce Willis.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:Also Young Frodo.
Speaker 1:Yeah, elijah Wood. Yes.
Speaker 2:So Young Frodo is a child, of course, because he's young yeah.
Speaker 1:What's his name in the movie North? Oh, okay.
Speaker 2:And he is not satisfied with his life because his parents don't pay attention to him. So he goes to court and gets permission to look for new parents right Yep. And so he goes around the world and searches for new parents. Yep, and that's what happens.
Speaker 1:Yep and all the characters are so stereotypical.
Speaker 2:Yes, reba McEntire is in this movie.
Speaker 1:Yes.
Speaker 2:And she's with Dan Aykroyd. Yeah, they are a set of parents, potential parents. Oh yeah, bruce Willis, where is he in this movie? He is a random guy in every place that young Frodo is at. Yeah, Like everywhere Frodo goes. Bruce Willis is there somehow yeah and he's like a guardian angel in a way yeah, and also the narrator narrator of the movie hate that word. Narrator narrator narrator. Um. So yeah, bruce willis is there, which which makes this a Bruce Willis movie.
Speaker 1:I mean he doesn't have a very large role, but he's still.
Speaker 2:It's reoccurring, yeah, so it counts.
Speaker 1:Yeah, that's why I thought yeah, I mean that's good enough. Yeah, I mean he's more in this movie than he was in Split.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I guess so. Spoiler alert for Split by the way, I'm going to let you know that I did enjoy this movie. It was very funny.
Speaker 1:It was.
Speaker 2:It made me laugh a lot at some of the dumbest things it feels like, yeah, it was really stupid there were a couple jokes there that I just I kind of lost it and it just it felt so dumb, but it was so funny. Yeah, I did enjoy this movie a lot.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:What did you think?
Speaker 1:I also enjoyed this movie. This was the first time I saw the whole thing it was, and because I I've only seen bits and pieces of it. But it was nice to finally see the you know entire thing.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:And yeah, I mean this movie was panned by critics when it was released and I mean it is very stupid humor, but it's funny.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:To me and you know I have stupid humor, so yeah, that's perfect for me. Uh, perfect for an amish like me I got that.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I got that because I'm a fan yeah, yes, and also made me think about the amish people in the movie.
Speaker 1:That's one of the things you were laughing at.
Speaker 2:Yeah, Very much, by the way. Oh, when the airplane was like zoom out of there yeah, so funny he was like absolutely not.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I did really enjoy this one. A lot of the known faces in this one, or at least to me.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I recognized a lot of people, at least two or three, at least like two.
Speaker 1:Yeah, no, elijah Wood and Bruce Willis and Dan Aykroyd and Reba oh, I don't know her that well.
Speaker 2:John Lovitz.
Speaker 1:John Lovitz, jason Alexander.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:Julia Louis-Dreyfus.
Speaker 2:Huh.
Speaker 1:Kathy Bates.
Speaker 2:Oh yeah, she was in this one too, the queen.
Speaker 1:The bad guy from Die Hard. One of the bad guys from Die Hard. Right, he was in Die Hard. Right he was in this movie. Yeah, I think his name was like Alexander Goodnob or something like that. He was one of the Amish people. Yeah, so many known faces and I know I forget some people. Scarlett Johansson was in this one, oh yeah. John Ritter. Yeah, I love that guy.
Speaker 2:Yeah, lots of people.
Speaker 1:Yes.
Speaker 2:Good movie.
Speaker 1:It was Pleasantly surprised.
Speaker 2:Yes, yeah.
Speaker 1:Yes, so. And then we watched another Swedish movie, right Called Blackjack.
Speaker 2:It's not a Swedish title.
Speaker 1:No, well, it's the name of a band in the movie.
Speaker 2:Right.
Speaker 1:So this movie is about what we call dansband, dansband, dansband. Yeah, I don't know how. What would you describe it like? That music style, is it? What would you describe it like that music style? It's almost like country-ish, but not really.
Speaker 2:It's oh goodness, it's happy music, I don't know. It's like happy rock in a way. Yeah, really like uppy and dancey.
Speaker 1:Yeah, and also like saxophones.
Speaker 2:There are saxophones.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:But Meatloaf also had saxophones.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:And he was rock.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:So I'm sticking to that.
Speaker 1:Okay.
Speaker 2:Happy rock.
Speaker 1:Yeah, and with a little touch of country, I would say yeah, and I like that kind of music.
Speaker 2:I do too.
Speaker 1:I don't understand why people are so against it here. Many people don't like it.
Speaker 2:They play it on like cruises and stuff. And it's really fun. Yeah, and it's made for people to dance to yeah, so why don't people like happy music, I don't know, but so this movie is, I mean it has a complicated relationship story kind of and I girl situation.
Speaker 1:It's not really. Uh, paint your wagon.
Speaker 2:Situation no, it's um not with consent no non-consent consensual.
Speaker 1:Uh, paint your wagon situation no, and I mean, I think the girl makes very stupid decisions in this movie, absolutely. And yeah, and I feel so bad for one of the guys, so, yeah, I don't want to spoil it too much, but that's what it is about, and also some dancing and one drunk character.
Speaker 2:Very drunk.
Speaker 1:Yeah, he gets so drunk and does stupid things while drunk. Yeah, it's more of a drama sprinkled with some comedy, I guess.
Speaker 2:And it takes place in Gävle, yeah, which is not super far from here.
Speaker 1:No, we've both been there, Yep not at the same time. No, I don't think so, and it takes place at Christmas time, or Christmas and New Year's.
Speaker 2:What were you doing in Gävle?
Speaker 1:I've been there a couple times. I remember the first time I was very young, I think I just went there with my relatives, my my mom and dad and sister, and my uncle and his wife okay and uh, it was just a you know road trip, cool, very nice we we had an rv you know, road trip Cool, very nice.
Speaker 2:Yeah, we had an RV you know, oh, yeah, yeah, so nice.
Speaker 1:And then I've been there with the Tivoli, mm-hmm, the carnival.
Speaker 2:Yeah, when you worked there.
Speaker 1:Yeah, and that was also nice. Yeah, although that was more work, but I never seen Jävla Bokken.
Speaker 2:Mm-hmmcken because it's.
Speaker 1:It's never been at christmas time for me okay it would be cool, though, if it to see the actual thing. If it's up, it depends on how long it's up for yeah, that's true, people like to set it on fire yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2:Because it's made out of hay.
Speaker 1:It is and like.
Speaker 2:A jævla bokken. Maybe we should like explain what that is Okay. Yes, it's what A giant goat made out of hay.
Speaker 1:Yeah, pretty much, because goats made out of hay is a Christmas thing here.
Speaker 2:Yeah, they are decorations.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:People make goats out of hay. Yeah, they are decorations.
Speaker 1:Yeah, people make goats out of hay. Yep, hay goats, yeah, hay goats, hay goats, yeah, so that's actually a kind of big thing in Sweden. Yeah, yeah, no, I really like, I did like the movie. What did you think about the movie?
Speaker 2:I Did. I like the movie, you, I liked the movie. What did you think?
Speaker 1:about the movie I did. I like the movie you, I liked the music.
Speaker 2:I didn't care for the storyline, really no, the drunk guy was funny. Yeah, I might have seen this movie before, because I did remember one scene, the one scene. I don't remember the rest of the movie, but I only remember this one scene, when they were doing the lucia train yeah which is also a swedish thing it is and um, the drunk guy calls out the girl who is supposed to be yeah acting as lucia yeah, like the front and center.
Speaker 2:Yeah, and he yells at her saying that Lucia is supposed to be a virgin. And I know that I've mentioned that at lunch before.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:And people were all confused.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I have to say that I have not seen the entire movie before, also bits and pieces. Seen the entire movie before, also bits and pieces. Uh, so so I had not seen that scene before so okay, you must have seen that it's very possible. I've seen this movie before, but I know I've seen that scene yeah, okay, yeah, and I also think it's kind of funny how the drunk guy always said that he had a blackout and then when he starts mentioning things that happened while he was drunk, and they're like uh.
Speaker 2:I don't think you blacked out right.
Speaker 1:How can you remember that if you blacked?
Speaker 2:out yeah.
Speaker 1:Yeah, it was an okay movie then.
Speaker 2:Yeah, it was alright movie.
Speaker 1:Then, yeah, it was all right. Yeah, okay, okay. So now it's time for a break, I guess I guess we're gonna take a break.
Speaker 2:Yeah, so we will be right back, yep.
Speaker 1:Hello and welcome back.
Speaker 2:Hello.
Speaker 1:That's it.
Speaker 2:Hello.
Speaker 1:Yeah, Lauren is flying around the room right now. I don't know how, but she just started to fly.
Speaker 2:I want to hop with you all night well, you, you fly okay, you don't hop um, it's a long hop it's a long hop from here, matthias yes hello, hello, did you enjoy your break? I did was it the best break ever? I had better all right, I had better. Alright, I'm not 100% satisfied with my break.
Speaker 1:No.
Speaker 2:Would you like to take extra break?
Speaker 1:I would like to redo my break.
Speaker 2:Alright, we will be right back. No.
Speaker 1:You get one chance, you only get one shot.
Speaker 2:Do not miss your chance. What's the words?
Speaker 1:I blew it. Yeah you blew it, I blew it, I blew it.
Speaker 2:This opportunity comes once in a lifetime.
Speaker 1:Is this the Weird Al, or is it Eminem?
Speaker 2:This is Eminem, this is Enema.
Speaker 1:Enema yes.
Speaker 2:All right. So, Matias, what are we doing today?
Speaker 1:We are yeah.
Speaker 2:That's the question. Would?
Speaker 1:I would, you would. I would like to know how to Thanksgiving.
Speaker 2:Are we going to give out some advice today?
Speaker 1:I think so because I really don't know how to Thanksgiving, Are you?
Speaker 2:going to have your own Thanksgiving. Maybe Are we going to have your own Thanksgiving Maybe. Are we going to have rival like?
Speaker 1:Thanksgiving. Yeah, I'm like I can improve this.
Speaker 2:I can do this better than you?
Speaker 1:Yeah, you're kind of suck at it. Oh, am I invited?
Speaker 2:to your Thanksgiving.
Speaker 1:Well, I know you're going to steal my ideas.
Speaker 2:Right.
Speaker 1:And obviously. Well, all my stuff.
Speaker 2:All the stuff I'm going to steal your food.
Speaker 1:And have your own Thanksgiving.
Speaker 2:Yes.
Speaker 1:I know.
Speaker 2:So Thanksgiving was technically last Thursday, but we in Sweden do not get Thursday off from work, off from work. So we are celebrating tomorrow, which is Saturday, which is last Saturday, from Tuesday when this is published, when you may or may not be listening to this. So for people who don't know how to Thanksgiving today, I'm going to tell you how to Thanksgiving.
Speaker 1:Very good.
Speaker 2:Brought to you by open eyes, as always, of course, ai just because yeah, because yeah that's right okay that was ai thanksgiving is a time to gather with loved ones, reflect on gratitude and enjoy delicious food. Here's a simple guide to celebrating Thanksgiving. Okay, so number one plan the day. Okay, very important to plan and have everything written down.
Speaker 1:Oh, have you planned anything?
Speaker 2:I've planned everything. So you got to set a time and date, or else people don't know when to show up.
Speaker 1:I thought you were going to say shut up. They don't know when to shut up. You have to plan when they need to shut up.
Speaker 2:Yes.
Speaker 1:It's time to shut up now.
Speaker 2:And eat.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:Okay, so Thanksgiving is traditionally celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November in the US.
Speaker 1:Okay.
Speaker 2:And then you have Black Friday. You also need to invite guests, okay.
Speaker 1:So decide, you also need to invite guests.
Speaker 2:Okay, so decide, you get to pick and choose who you get to invite.
Speaker 1:Okay. Does it say how many?
Speaker 2:No, it says. Decide if you want a small family gathering or a larger celebration with friends.
Speaker 1:Okay, so you pick the other one.
Speaker 2:I don't have much family here. I have my children. You have your family here.
Speaker 1:Yeah, you have your life partner and.
Speaker 2:My children.
Speaker 1:Your children.
Speaker 2:And that's my family, that's your family and you, because apparently my gymnasts think that you're my brother.
Speaker 1:Oh yeah.
Speaker 2:So you're my brother now and you are also invited.
Speaker 1:I mean, it's really your sister that's not here, right, she is not close by.
Speaker 2:No, I mean, we have chosen family members.
Speaker 1:Yep.
Speaker 2:Number two kind of important.
Speaker 1:Okay.
Speaker 2:Prepare the meal.
Speaker 1:Okay.
Speaker 2:Okay, oh. So some examples of what you would have for Thanksgiving.
Speaker 1:Okay.
Speaker 2:Turkey, the centerpiece of the Thanksgiving dinners. Roast fry or smoke it, depending on your preference.
Speaker 1:Roasty.
Speaker 2:Roasty toasty turkey.
Speaker 1:Yeah, roasty, toasty turkey.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:I like that.
Speaker 2:Some signs. Common options include mashed potatoes, stuffings, green beans, cranberry sauce and sweet potatoes. We have everything except for the cranberry sauce.
Speaker 1:Yeah, okay.
Speaker 2:Because we don't like cranberry sauce.
Speaker 1:We don't.
Speaker 2:No.
Speaker 1:I really don't know. I know what it is, but I don't know how it tastes.
Speaker 2:All right, it's like Jell-O or something I don't know, I mean.
Speaker 1:I'm saying no, I knew it was thromba, but I really don't know what the taste of that is.
Speaker 2:No, we're not going to find out Desserts pumpkin pie, pecan pie or apple pie are classics. We go for pumpkin pie and chocolate pie, although pecan pie and apple pie sound amazing too, but I'm not going to add two more pies. Oh, we also have corn muffins, cornbread muffins.
Speaker 1:Okay, oh yeah.
Speaker 2:They always come out really dry. We'll see what happens. It also mentions dietary needs, so consider vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free options for guests with dietary restrictions.
Speaker 1:That's you.
Speaker 2:My dietary needs go out the window, yeah.
Speaker 1:For Thanksgiving, yeah, but if it would have been a normal day, that would have been you.
Speaker 2:That would have been me. I would have been like I can't have that or that, I can have the turkey.
Speaker 1:Yeah, it's a lot you can't have, if you would.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I could have the turkey and the green beans probably, yeah.
Speaker 1:That's it.
Speaker 2:That's all I get. I can't even have pie. That's sad. Number three decorate, oh, Use fall-themed decorations like pumpkins, leaves, candles or cornucopia centerpiece.
Speaker 1:Have you decorated much?
Speaker 2:We have some pumpkins in the kitchen.
Speaker 1:Well, I don't feel those were put there for Thanksgiving.
Speaker 2:No, they were there for Halloween too.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:We grew the pumpkins and then just kind of put them on the kitchen floor and that's where they are. They are decoration now, yeah, but one of them is kind of cool because there was a cat that scratched at it and it has these scratch marks on it.
Speaker 1:Yeah, it's really cool. It's like scars on the pumpkin.
Speaker 2:Yeah, my pumpkin is scarred.
Speaker 1:Yes, scarred pumpkin.
Speaker 2:And we can't really bring any leaves in because it started snowing on Wednesday.
Speaker 1:Yeah, well, you could have before.
Speaker 2:I was not prepared.
Speaker 1:Wasn't one of the points that you're supposed to?
Speaker 2:be. You're supposed to be prepared and I was not prepared, not for snow. Okay, we have candles. We can light some candles, I guess.
Speaker 1:Yeah, another thing, isn't it like usually snowing in Sweden?
Speaker 2:Sometimes it does. Yeah, it's happened a couple times yeah.
Speaker 1:Are you one of those who get surprised every time it starts to snow Like what?
Speaker 2:What's this? It's more like really, I'm more annoyed yeah okay like really already yeah, some people seem to get surprised when it starts to snow yeah, like it does every year yeah, well, I know it's supposed to snow, but yeah, every time it's like already, even though it's like the typical time for it to start snowing.
Speaker 1:I mean, it's so soon, it's November, it's too early for snow.
Speaker 2:Can it wait for December, when it's like supposed to snow?
Speaker 1:That would be good, but no, this will melt and then ice, and I don't think it will be much snow for Christmas, when it's supposed to be snow, and then in, like January, february.
Speaker 2:February is the worst.
Speaker 1:Those are snowy months. Those are the snowiest months.
Speaker 2:All right, so set the table with festive napkins, plates and seasonal colors like orange, red and gold.
Speaker 1:Okay, gold.
Speaker 2:We do have the tablecloth that we have people sign.
Speaker 1:Oh yeah, that's a good tradition, it's a fun tradition.
Speaker 2:I love that one. That's my favorite. Number four is express gratitude. Yes, take a moment before or during the meal to share what you're thankful for. This could be done through toast a toast, not through toast we have a slice of toast, we make a hole in it and then you talk through it, I'm thankful for toast.
Speaker 1:Roasty, toasty, gooshy.
Speaker 2:A toast, a prayer or a round of sharing.
Speaker 1:So we have gone through roast and now toast.
Speaker 2:So where's the ghost? Yeah? We're going to find out okay.
Speaker 1:I hope there will be a ghost.
Speaker 2:That would be great.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:This is our holiday.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:Because next week will be two years of recording.
Speaker 1:Yeah, and it started on Thanksgiving.
Speaker 2:Well, yeah, the week after Around, yeah.
Speaker 1:Around Thanksgiving.
Speaker 2:We were a little late, but yeah, yeah. Number five activities Watch the parade. The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is a popular tradition. I really try to get the kids into this, but they're like it's so long and boring.
Speaker 1:I have seen some of that. Yeah, I don't know, maybe not my thing.
Speaker 2:You can also play games like board games or trivia, or football in the snow are fun options.
Speaker 1:Yeah, are we playing games.
Speaker 2:We can play game. We have games to play.
Speaker 1:We did last year, oh, it was so funny. It was so funny. We can play games. Yeah, we have games to play. We did last year. Oh, it was so funny.
Speaker 2:It was so funny, we were also drunk.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:Oh, you had that weird strawberry daiquiri drink last year and I was like bleh.
Speaker 1:It tasted like Nippon soppa.
Speaker 2:Bleh.
Speaker 1:Brought memories from my childhood Without the alcohol in my childhood.
Speaker 2:I made jello shots this year, so we'll be good. You can also volunteer. Some people choose to give back by helping at a local shelter or food bank.
Speaker 1:Oh yeah, I've seen that in movies.
Speaker 2:I've never done that myself, though.
Speaker 1:No, but I've seen it in movies.
Speaker 2:Number six is the last one.
Speaker 1:The last one, the last one.
Speaker 2:Yeah, relax, relax.
Speaker 1:Okay, relax.
Speaker 2:After the meal, unwind with your loved ones, watch a holiday movie or enjoy leftovers together.
Speaker 1:Okay, so what holiday movie should they watch?
Speaker 2:We watch planes, trains and automobiles.
Speaker 1:Yes.
Speaker 2:And we also have the other one Free Bird.
Speaker 1:Yeah, Free Birds or Free Bird. Yeah, with the voices of Owen Wilson and Woody Harrelson.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:Good movies. I like both of them.
Speaker 2:Yeah, and we usually will watch planes, trains and automobiles while the turkey is in the oven. So yeah watch planes, trains and automobiles, while the turkey is in the oven.
Speaker 1:So yeah, and there's one scene in the movie you had to warn your kids about, or you did I did and they got all excited yeah, they never watch movies with us otherwise right but that when you warned them about one scene, they're like oh, maybe we should watch this.
Speaker 2:Yeah, it's like they say some words in this scene. They're like we're going to watch it and then they laugh the entire time. Yeah, that was the end of that.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:So, matias, please will you tell me what is it that is ruining your life right now?
Speaker 1:I will tell you that it's my lower back. All right, Okay, I've been working in hell for so many weeks now and I don't like it, and I've been lifting heavy stacks of books and my lower back is killing me.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I bet.
Speaker 1:I can really feel the pain there now and I'm so done with that. I don't want to be there, yeah. But I can't complain about it either to the bosses, because they will just put me on something else in the same department and it will be more stressful work. So I'm happy with doing what I'm doing, but I'm not happy with my broken back.
Speaker 2:Right.
Speaker 1:So what's ruining your life?
Speaker 2:Um, I'm not going to complain about my weight this week.
Speaker 1:No, maybe that you're a week early.
Speaker 2:The fact that I'm a week early for Thanksgiving. I was so excited. I can't wait another week, come on, I don't know. I think it's the fact that I have to pee all the time.
Speaker 1:Okay.
Speaker 2:That kind of ruins my life often.
Speaker 1:Yeah, so.
Speaker 2:Because it feels like I go pee and then I just I have to pee again.
Speaker 1:Yeah, Right after I peed. Okay, so while peeing maybe.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:Darn it, I have to pee again Done, oh, Like I thought I was.
Speaker 2:I was ready to go and then I had to pee again. Yeah yeah, it takes a lot of time out of my days.
Speaker 1:Yeah you, you're like almost out the door. Yeah, you're like almost out the door, Right. And then you're like, nope, Gotta pee again.
Speaker 2:Yep, there's like someone waiting outside the door is like sorry man, I have to pee again.
Speaker 1:Yeah, you open, close, open close that door.
Speaker 2:That's all I do all day is just go pee constantly. Yeah, you can't even drink anything in between, but you still have tons of fluids in me, yeah.
Speaker 1:I guess you don't even know how it's possible.
Speaker 2:Well, I'm all out of sips.
Speaker 1:Me too. That means we're all out of episode.
