Speaker 1:I don't know, are we? I think so.
Speaker 2:I need a yes or a no, because I think you know my answer. I need your answer.
Speaker 1:You're the birthday child.
Speaker 2:Child. Did we do chairs or did we just drink chairs?
Speaker 1:Chairs.
Speaker 2:I don't remember what we did today.
Speaker 1:No.
Speaker 2:Two minutes ago, or even like four minutes ago.
Speaker 1:Yeah, Possibly, I don't know.
Speaker 2:Well, now we did. So that's okay, wait, I'm 32. That was bad news, yeah. I so that's okay, wait, I'm 32. That was bad news. Yeah, I didn't like that.
Speaker 1:Why did you tell me that I?
Speaker 2:haven't. Yeah, you did. You said yeah, I didn't like that part Ow.
Speaker 1:Do you want me to start A?
Speaker 2:paper cut.
Speaker 3:That's never fun.
Speaker 2:Should we open this up first and then try? Yeah, all right, I might just unscrew in this one. Yeah, unscrew that, ooh, tequila. Tequila, this is going to be a fun episode. Yeah, let's try this again. Yeah.
Speaker 3:Hello and welcome to Roasty Toasty Ghosty. My name is Lauren and.
Speaker 1:I'm Matias.
Speaker 2:And we're going to be your besties for the next hour or so.
Speaker 1:Yeah, this is cool.
Speaker 2:It is cool.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:Oh no, I came back.
Speaker 1:Oh no, All right, Maybe. Yeah, I'm coming back too.
Speaker 3:Okay, hi, matias, hello, how are you doing?
Speaker 1:I'm good.
Speaker 2:Good, did you know? Few people know zits, but this is like the bestest podcast ever.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:You know why.
Speaker 1:No, I don't know why.
Speaker 3:Wait hold on Because it's my birthday. We have some sips, we're drinking pink tequila.
Speaker 1:Oh no, what Are you like?
Speaker 2:five I'm 32.
Speaker 1:Oh.
Speaker 2:Cheers to my birthday.
Speaker 3:Yes, cheers, cheers.
Speaker 1:Cheers me Bam Bam.
Speaker 2:This is my birthday episode it is. So we are drinking pink tequila.
Speaker 1:Yes, we are.
Speaker 2:And we also found this helium. What is it a can.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I don't know. Wait, there's a word for it.
Speaker 2:There is yeah Tank. Yeah, because it looks like a propane tank, like or.
Speaker 1:Yeah, propane. Yeah, that's true. Maybe a tank, maybe I'm thinking about the Swedish word for it.
Speaker 2:What's the Swedish word? Like a gas tube, it's a tank. Maybe I'm thinking about the.
Speaker 1:Swedish word for it. What's the Swedish word? Like a gas tube. It's a tube, it's a tube.
Speaker 2:Well, either way, we found helium, yeah, and so we'll probably be playing with it throughout the episode.
Speaker 1:Yeah, maybe we will so today we're drunk and high. Drunk and high.
Speaker 2:Interesting. All right, Would you like to go ahead and talk about the week then?
Speaker 1:I guess we can do that.
Speaker 2:All right.
Speaker 1:What happened this week? What happened on Saturday?
Speaker 2:That's a question.
Speaker 1:Mm-hmm, it is Mm-hmm and we're going to try to answer that question.
Speaker 2:Yeah, Well, last week did we go live.
Speaker 1:We grilled? No, we didn't. Yes, we did.
Speaker 2:Oh, we grilled at my place.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:Yeah, we grilled at my place and then we went live.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:For the Mad Libs.
Speaker 1:Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2:Yeah, but we ate a lot.
Speaker 1:Oh yeah, so much.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:We didn't just grill, we also got like desserts.
Speaker 2:Yeah, yeah, we had a. Well, it was supposed to be a get together with all the tenants in the building, but only one of them showed up.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:So, and she baked.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:And it was really good.
Speaker 1:Yeah, it was nice.
Speaker 2:Yeah, it was nice. The weather wasn't amazing.
Speaker 1:No.
Speaker 2:But it just looked not great.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I mean it was cloudy and windy.
Speaker 2:Yeah, just looked not great. Yeah, I mean it was cloudy and windy, yeah, but it wasn't really that bad.
Speaker 1:No, I mean, it wasn't raining, no, so it was good, it was good.
Speaker 2:And we went live.
Speaker 1:We did.
Speaker 2:And we'd like to thank the people who joined us for that. Yeah, it was pretty fun. We had some visitors.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:And that was interesting.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:And then on Sunday we went for a walk. We did, and then we had Fika.
Speaker 1:We had Fika. Yeah, mm-hmm.
Speaker 2:What did I do after that?
Speaker 1:Did you go home? I think so yeah.
Speaker 2:Yeah, that was pretty much it. We grilled some more, we had some burgers.
Speaker 3:Mm-hmm.
Speaker 2:That was it that was that. Did you write for the week? No, no, I'm sorry, okay.
Speaker 1:I didn't have an exciting week.
Speaker 2:Okay, no, I feel like I had quite a bit this week, though.
Speaker 1:Yeah, okay, it feels like you have more time than I do.
Speaker 2:Yeah, on Monday my youngest sick child. He had his summer celebration like the last day of his daycare, so we were supposed to go outside, but we ended up going to the gymnastics hall, yeah, and we had Fika there and the kids played around and they were using the gymnastics equipment. So I automatically started uh, spotting gymnastics. Yeah, it was like this wasn't the point in coming here, but okay.
Speaker 1:I mean as you do.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I mean they took out equipment that kids can't really use by themselves. So I'm not really sure what they were thinking, but yeah, that's what happened. I also had a gymnastics meeting that evening that I didn't know about until like nine minutes after it started, so that's cool. What did you do on Monday?
Speaker 1:I went to work.
Speaker 3:Oh, okay.
Speaker 1:Didn't have the greatest day. You know headaches and stuff. So no, it could have been better.
Speaker 2:Okay.
Speaker 1:Tuesday.
Speaker 2:I didn't really do that much. I wasn't very productive that day, no, okay. So yeah, tuesday was not much. I wasn't very productive that day, okay. So yeah, tuesday was not much.
Speaker 1:No, I mean, I think it's the same for me actually.
Speaker 2:On Wednesday my oldest had a class trip to Grönland, an amusement park in Stockholm.
Speaker 1:Yeah, we've been there.
Speaker 2:We have, and I mean it was okay, it wasn't amazing.
Speaker 1:No.
Speaker 2:It wasn't what I expected exactly.
Speaker 1:The weather wasn't perfect.
Speaker 2:We got rained on, on and off and so I got wet and then, when it wasn't raining, it started getting a bit warm or like humid, so I'd start sweating. Yeah't, raining it started getting a bit warm or like humid, so I'd start sweating, yeah. Then it started raining again and so, yeah, it wasn't great and I was originally started to be in my oldest group like their chaperone, but they switched me with someone else last minute which kind of annoyed me, and they wouldn't switch me back. I didn't like not being the switcheroo.
Speaker 2:Yeah, exactly, I didn't like the switch and on the bus you couldn't even really see out the windows. They were very tinted.
Speaker 1:Oh, okay.
Speaker 2:We rode in one of those Idol buses.
Speaker 1:Really For like.
Speaker 2:Swedish Idol.
Speaker 1:It said Idol.
Speaker 2:Yeah, it was the idle bus, oh cool. So it had like the idle logo over the windows and couldn't really see out the windows okay, it was really boring, maybe not that cool no, it wasn't that cool. I mean, from the outside it looks cool yeah but, and the inside is like okay could be better yeah, so yeah, I was kind of bored on the bus.
Speaker 2:I didn't really bring anything to do other than my phone, but I didn't want to use up all my battery, so yeah, and we got to roam around stockholm for like an hour in the older area of Stockholm with our groups, and I guess my group was okay. I had two boys who just wanted to run around and mess with each other the whole time, and then I had one cooperative boy and a very chill boy. Then we went to a museum with history.
Speaker 1:Oh.
Speaker 2:And we wandered around in there and then we walked to Grenadines.
Speaker 3:Mm.
Speaker 2:And I swear the second, that everyone was allowed to run around. They just disappeared.
Speaker 3:Oh.
Speaker 2:It was like one second they were there and then they just they were all gone, mm. So I just kind of stood there for a minute. I was like, what do I do now? Like where'd everyone go? I just kind of stood there for a minute. I was like, what do I do now? Like where'd everyone go? I was kind of confused and so I just started walking around the park. I did a few laps and I might have had a drink.
Speaker 1:Oh, why?
Speaker 2:Because I didn't know what to do. And then I went on a couple of rides by myself and I mean I guess it was okay, but my oldest found me every now and then and we did some things together and then he ran off. Oh yeah, I mean I guess it was all right. Um, then we went home. Okay, I watched a little bit of the show that the live band that was playing just a few songs. They were okay what, what band?
Speaker 2:graveyard oh, okay yeah, no, I didn't really know them either, but they're swedish and they were like, uh, like rock but blues and kind of heavy, but very heavy on the blues part heavy block heavy block blues rock yeah, yeah, I'd say that they were a brick and that was pretty much it Blues part. Heavy block, heavy block, blues rock.
Speaker 1:Yeah, yeah, I'd say that they were a brick and that was pretty much it. That's what happened on Wednesday. Yeah, yeah, not much happened in my world.
Speaker 2:Yesterday was Thursday, yeah yeah, I didn't see you all week, until today.
Speaker 1:True.
Speaker 2:Right, Yesterday was Thursday and what did I do? I'm not functioning.
Speaker 1:No.
Speaker 2:Oh, the big kids had their last day of school.
Speaker 1:Oh yeah.
Speaker 2:So I watched them do their little ceremony thing and then I went to get my hair fixed. I got it colored and styled, trimmed a bit, so it's looking fresher.
Speaker 1:Fresher.
Speaker 2:Fresher and my life partner and I and sick child we went to the beach for the first time this year just to I don't know hang out. It wasn't super warm either. It was a bit windy, but he went out into the water and he took a dip and I think he regretted it because it was really cold. But yeah, it just hung out there, didn't do much and that was it.
Speaker 1:That was yesterday.
Speaker 3:Yeah.
Speaker 1:I got a theme over here, so I didn't do much yesterday.
Speaker 2:Okay.
Speaker 1:That's my theme.
Speaker 2:All right Most weeks, and today is Friday. Yeah, june 13th.
Speaker 1:Friday, the 13th.
Speaker 2:That's right, and it's my birthday, yep it is. So I got pancakes for breakfast.
Speaker 1:Cool.
Speaker 2:And it's kind of funny. I got pancakes for breakfast and it's kind of funny. My life partner put a candle in one of the pancakes and the pancakes were still really warm, so the candle melted inside the pancakes. Oh that was interesting. I mean, we just cut away the waxy parts. Yeah but it was kind of funny. And what else do we do? This was today and I don't know what we did.
Speaker 1:You said you ate the entire day.
Speaker 2:I have been eating all day. Yeah, we had pancakes, and then I played with Sick Child a bit, and then we I don't know what we did- you had lunch with me. Yeah, I know that we had lunch. We did have lunch.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:And then and it was nice, but well, not. But my life partner and my daughter and sick child joined us yeah, this time. And then we brought you back to work.
Speaker 1:Yes.
Speaker 2:And then we did some grocery shopping and my life partner was feeling kind of spontaneous, so we went to a different like beach, or it was a camping area where you could go swimming. Okay, but we weren't prepared to go swimming, so we just hung out on the beach. It was really warm today.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:Really warm. But then we went to a cafe and had some ice cream. That was really nice. And then we came home and I had to chill. Yeah, I needed to relax for a bit. I get it, and then I came and picked you up from work. Yeah, and I brought you home with me.
Speaker 1:Yeah, and we ate.
Speaker 2:We did eat. We had breakfast bagels or sandwiches on bagels.
Speaker 1:For dinner For dinner.
Speaker 2:Yeah, it was a bacon, egg and cheese on a bagel.
Speaker 1:Yeah, and then we had a lot of snacks.
Speaker 2:We did have a lot of snacks. We also watched movies.
Speaker 1:Yeah, we did.
Speaker 2:Would you like to?
Speaker 3:movie on let's movie on All right.
Speaker 2:Let's do that then. Okay, so tonight we watched Three Musketeers.
Speaker 3:Yes.
Speaker 2:And Soon as Summer.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:Yeah, yeah, but I'm going to tell you about Three Musketeers. Okay, okay.
Speaker 1:Okay, okay, okay Okay. Do they have gas? That makes your voice deeper.
Speaker 2:I don't know Um, I'd call that a cold.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I don't know if that's a gas. No, I guess not?
Speaker 2:Uh, so Three Musketeers.
Speaker 1:Yes.
Speaker 2:Is a movie with Tim Curry. Yeah, it also has Charlie Sheen.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:And Kiefer Sutherland.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:Okay, and another guy, another guy.
Speaker 1:Oliver Platt.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:And Chris O'Donnell.
Speaker 2:Right.
Speaker 1:And Michael Wincott.
Speaker 2:Oh, okay.
Speaker 1:There's some people.
Speaker 2:There's people in this movie, yeah. So basically, Tim Curry is a bad guy and he wants to kill the king.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:And then Charlie Sheen and all these people. They are musketeers and they want to save the king, yeah, and they beat up bad guys.
Speaker 1:Yes, the end True.
Speaker 2:How was that accurate?
Speaker 1:good so what did you think about this movie?
Speaker 2:I like this movie more than I thought I would okay because I do like tim curry quite a bit yeah, I never watched this movie because I judged it.
Speaker 3:Why.
Speaker 2:Because it's like an old, it's set in old times.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:And I just didn't think that would be very interesting. Okay, so that's it. So, like whenever it was in front of me, I just said, nah, I'll take something else, okay, but I did watch it today. Yeah, finally.
Speaker 1:And I did enjoy it today.
Speaker 2:Yeah, finally, and I did enjoy it. Good, it was a good movie. It's from 93.
Speaker 1:It is.
Speaker 2:Which is my year.
Speaker 1:Yes.
Speaker 2:What did you think about it?
Speaker 1:I love this movie.
Speaker 2:Good.
Speaker 1:I think it's Okay. So I haven't seen all the um versions of this story, but all the versions I've seen. This is my favorite of the three musketeers.
Speaker 2:I think I've only seen the Mickey Mouse version.
Speaker 1:Okay.
Speaker 2:I've also eaten the candy bars.
Speaker 1:Okay.
Speaker 3:A lot of them.
Speaker 1:Do you like the Mickey Mouse version?
Speaker 2:I don't remember.
Speaker 1:Okay, I don't think I've seen the entire thing maybe I have? I'm not sure I don't know, uh, but I I have seen another version from 2011 and that's that one I'm not a big fan of, because it kind of ends on a cliffhanger like it's gonna be an be a sequel to it and it never did never okay, but this one it has, of course, great characters, because I I mean it's a classic story, um, and it has fun.
Speaker 1:It's it's a fun movie. It has has jokes and it has sword fighting and it has good villains, bad guys. I like both of them. I really like this one. I'm like you, I'm not that interested in older timey movies. That's set in the 1600s, right, but it's still. I still really like this one and I bought the dvd from your ex that's right yeah yeah, that's a fact anything else, no, that's.
Speaker 1:I think that's enough okay next, next, soon, next, sune, sommar. This movie is about a Swedish family planning on going to Greece for the summer, but there's an incident that makes the dad realize that they can't afford to go, so he decides they should go camping instead. And yeah, I mean, things are happening and it's a really silly movie.
Speaker 2:And Sune meets a girl.
Speaker 1:Yeah, Sune is like a chaser.
Speaker 2:He's a girl chaser.
Speaker 1:Yeah, girl, yeah, that's it, he's chasing a girl. Yeah, he's a boy.
Speaker 2:He is a boy chasing a girl.
Speaker 1:Yes, so yeah, it's a chase movie Not really, but in a way, but it's really funny. What are your feelings about this movie?
Speaker 2:I love this movie. This is, I feel, like a classic movie.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:It's also from 93?.
Speaker 1:Yeah, which is my year. Yeah, that's a coincidence that both of the movies are from 93.
Speaker 2:Strange, how that happened.
Speaker 1:It's like on my birthday. Both of the movies were from 91.
Speaker 2:So weird, yeah. But yeah, it's a really funny movie, yes.
Speaker 1:I think it might be like the funniest Swedish movie.
Speaker 2:I don't know Ever, I don't know.
Speaker 1:At least one of them. Say one Swedish movie that's funnier than this one, I dare you okay, uh, I know that the train one was really funny yeah, which one was that? Right that one is that funnier than this one?
Speaker 2:I want to say it was really funny yeah I don't know funnier if it was funnier, but it was really funny yeah, I mean I'm, I'm agreeing with you, I'm, uh, I hold both of those as like top funniest swedish movies also another movie that we haven't seen together yet, but and I haven't seen it in a really long time, so I could be wrong, but based off of my memory it was really funny. That was that one.
Speaker 1:We had the Alphaltoom of Eddards Right.
Speaker 2:See, you knew it and I didn't even have to say it.
Speaker 1:No, we're going to see it in a couple of weeks yeah, but if I'm recalling correctly, it was also really funny yeah, I haven't seen that one in so many years?
Speaker 2:yeah, me neither so yeah it's got to have been at least like nine or ten years now yeah, I mean it feels. And I hold Desisterise it pretty high too.
Speaker 1:Yeah, that's right. That's also a really funny movie.
Speaker 2:Not that I'm trying to prove you wrong or anything.
Speaker 1:No, no, no, it just came up, yeah, but I mean, they're all really, really funny movies. I feel like this is like Okay, I mean, that doesn't. And also, salskop Sereriasan is really funny.
Speaker 3:Oh yeah.
Speaker 1:Those movies, but I feel like Sune is on another level, for me at least. Yeah, that's. I think I still stand with that. This is probably one of the funniest Swedish movies ever.
Speaker 2:You may be right.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I have a question have you seen Julkalender Soon as Jul.
Speaker 2:No, no, my kids probably have, but I haven't yeah but this is a sequel. Okay, yeah, maybe actually, but I don't.
Speaker 1:Because that one was the Julkalender 91.
Speaker 2:Okay, my year yeah.
Speaker 1:Then they made the sequel 93. Okay, my year yeah. Then they made the sequel 93.
Speaker 2:Okay.
Speaker 1:Your year.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:Fun fact.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:That was that.
Speaker 2:That was that.
Speaker 1:I think so.
Speaker 2:Nothing else.
Speaker 1:No.
Speaker 3:Alright, would you like to take a break?
Speaker 1:Let's take a break.
Speaker 3:Alright, we're gonna take a break. We'll be right back. Yeah, hello and welcome back.
Speaker 1:Now back to the good part.
Speaker 2:Hi Hello. Did you have a nice break?
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:All right, good, because we're back.
Speaker 1:Yes, we are back.
Speaker 2:You're back and I'm back and we got refills. Yes, cheers.
Speaker 1:Cheers.
Speaker 2:All right, your turn to steer the episode.
Speaker 1:Okay, so I'm thinking we should start the second part with you opening the present start this second part with you opening the presents.
Speaker 2:I like that idea. Yeah, I haven't actually opened any presents yet?
Speaker 1:No, not at all.
Speaker 2:No, my life partner bought my hair appointment for me.
Speaker 1:Okay, yeah.
Speaker 2:So it was an experience. It wasn't something I could open, though.
Speaker 1:No.
Speaker 2:And my daughter ran off to the store today and came back with a donut and some cookies and a Pepsi.
Speaker 1:Snacks.
Speaker 2:Snacks, of course. Yeah, and that was nice. I got a little candle in my donut. It was cute, yeah, but that's. That's all I've gotten Okay, which I'm okay with. They're both things that I enjoyed.
Speaker 1:Yeah, of course.
Speaker 2:I haven't finished my Pepsi.
Speaker 1:No.
Speaker 2:But I enjoyed the sips that I took, yeah, so I am excited to actually open a present today.
Speaker 1:Okay.
Speaker 2:The day after my birthday.
Speaker 1:Yeah, that's true.
Speaker 2:Whatever, whatever.
Speaker 1:Whatever?
Speaker 2:Whatever?
Speaker 1:It's not my fault that we started this so late.
Speaker 2:No, I wanted extra walk.
Speaker 1:Yes, I wrapped this one yesterday.
Speaker 2:Yes, very pretty flower wrapping paper. Yeah, it's not Christmas.
Speaker 1:No, it's not.
Speaker 2:I feel like I only have Christmas wrapping paper. Okay, so even for your birthday, you get Christmas wrapping paper.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:But it's also not my fault that your birthday is so close to Christmas.
Speaker 1:No, that's true, it's like a month away, but then again you rarely wrap.
Speaker 2:Right, but recently I've been doing better.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:Okay, I'm going to open this now.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:There's nothing that says that it's to me.
Speaker 1:No.
Speaker 2:I just had to make that comment for the podcast. Yeah, the recording. Oh the butterfly.
Speaker 1:Yes.
Speaker 2:Aw, here's a box. Yeah, inside the box is it's bubbles Plastic. Bubble wrap and in the bubble wrap I have movie and kinnet and say okay, okay, you have. Yeah, you had that movie for so long yeah, it's been hanging out on my shelf and you brought it home and wrapped it up and brought it back, so that's cool.
Speaker 1:I guess you didn't want these movies I bought it for the movie movie night, okay, so I also got who am I on dvd yeah, no blu-ray sorry blu-ray yeah which is very exciting yeah, because you told me you don't have that yeah, and I wanted it yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2:So very good yeah.
Speaker 1:I hope it works.
Speaker 2:These are good, thank you, thank you.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I mean, it's only three movies.
Speaker 2:Was there something that hadn't come in yet, or was that this?
Speaker 1:No, there's more on the way.
Speaker 2:Okay.
Speaker 1:We'll see when I get that.
Speaker 2:Okay.
Speaker 1:Maybe I already got it at home, I don't know.
Speaker 2:I don't know if people.
Speaker 3:I'll find out tomorrow.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I don't know if people checked the mailbox or not. Okay, so I don't know.
Speaker 2:Who knows? Thank you very much.
Speaker 1:You're welcome.
Speaker 2:I'm very happy, especially this one.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:Who am I With Jackie Chan? Yes, very exciting. I like all of these movies. Good, good, good, good, good. All right, did you end up going through the other episodes, or is this just I went through transcripts. Okay.
Speaker 1:Of the other episodes and I hope I read it thoroughly. So I don't reuse anything thoroughly. So I don't reuse anything.
Speaker 3:Okay.
Speaker 1:Because I mean some of the things I'm gonna say. It feels like I already said, but I don't think I said it in those episodes.
Speaker 2:Okay.
Speaker 1:So we'll see, okay, okay, and this is. This is 10 facts about Lauren.
Speaker 3:Yay.
Speaker 2:Yay, are they all good, or are there some bad things?
Speaker 1:Is it a good mixture? It's more good than bad.
Speaker 2:Okay, because I know my last list for you had some less than positive things.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I noticed that too To switch things up a bit. But I feel like I've tried that before and it didn't go well.
Speaker 2:No, so I mean you're free to try again.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:For the sake of the episode being exciting with drama.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:For the entertainment purposes.
Speaker 1:Yeah, but then you're gonna be sad for like a week.
Speaker 2:Maybe it might be worth it.
Speaker 1:Maybe, maybe, not. Okay, so reading through the cranscripts, the crapscripts, the crappy scripts yeah. Of the earlier episodes, I noticed one difference, so I put that as one of the. You have changed.
Speaker 2:Okay, In a way Throughout the episodes or I don't know, I might be wrong.
Speaker 3:Okay.
Speaker 1:But it feels like there's a slight change. Okay, so this was from two years ago.
Speaker 2:There might be a reason, okay, so my a reason.
Speaker 1:Okay, so my first one.
Speaker 3:Okay.
Speaker 1:Is okay. You don't love editing as much anymore, Because in the first episode we were talking about how much you loved editing and I guess I wasn't a big fan of it so, and now it feels like we want the other person to do the editing we're always trying to push it on the other yeah, so it feels like you you're not as excited with the editing anymore as you were two years ago. Am I right or am I wrong?
Speaker 2:You may be right. There was a time when the episodes were getting really long, so I would end up spending like four hours working on a two hour episode, and you know that's a lot of time in the day. And even if I did wake up early, it still would like drain me by the end. And then there would be some episodes where it's like, does this ever end, even? And yeah. So I mean, maybe I don't look forward to it as much as I used to.
Speaker 1:No.
Speaker 2:But I still I like to do it. Yeah okay, I like the results that.
Speaker 1:I get when.
Speaker 2:I edit.
Speaker 1:It's nice afterwards.
Speaker 2:Yeah, it's nice when you're done.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:And then it feels good and when you listen through and hear how much nicer it sounds.
Speaker 1:Yeah, and sometimes when I'm editing, I listen through and notice all the mistakes I left in.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:But I mean, that happens. It happens, like every episode I do.
Speaker 2:Okay.
Speaker 1:But this is not about me.
Speaker 2:As usual.
Speaker 1:Yeah, but I was talking about you. You don't love editing as much anymore, maybe, but to be fair, you have gotten both of the longest episodes we ever had. So, anyhow, number two and this is a fact I wouldn't have stated before, because it would have felt wrong if I did- Okay, so, but you can tell me now. I can tell you now. Okay, you are 32 years old.
Speaker 2:Yes, you probably couldn't have said that earlier no, not with good conscience. No, you'd be wrong also, so then you'd just be a liar and that's not okay, no, exactly but yeah, that's a fact, I am 32 now yeah, so now I can say it yeah, have you been waiting a long time yeah okay I'm like or like.
Speaker 1:For as long as I've known you, I've been like. I wish I could say that laura's 32 years old, but I, I just had to wait were you 32 when we started this podcast when did we start it? Was it 22 then I was 31 okay, so. No, that's a no, that's a no.
Speaker 2:All right. Excuse me for being wrong.
Speaker 1:Yeah, don't do it again.
Speaker 2:No, I'll try that again.
Speaker 1:Okay, number three. Okay, you know lots of people.
Speaker 3:Oh, okay.
Speaker 1:You do Because whenever we're outside you say like hi, and talk to people just passing by and you know it feels like you know everyone and I don't know anyone.
Speaker 2:No, Okay, so that goes along with me being a gymnastics leader. A lot of the people who I say hi to, mostly just saying hi. I don't really have much conversation with these people, but they are parents of gymnasts that you know have gone to the classes and, yeah, I don't really know them that well. The majority of them. I couldn't tell you what their names are, but I could say that's a parent of one of the gymnasts.
Speaker 1:Yeah, but you also know people. I mean, you have a lot of friends on Facebook too.
Speaker 2:Yes.
Speaker 1:If you think about it.
Speaker 2:A lot of them are from high school and family, people who I've briefly met but thought they were interesting.
Speaker 1:Okay.
Speaker 2:People who I require a connection with.
Speaker 1:Okay.
Speaker 2:For whatever given reason, actual friends.
Speaker 1:What.
Speaker 2:That I do talk to.
Speaker 1:Yeah, yeah, I'm actually one of your friends and I don't have a lot of friends I require contact with you yes, you do so you are my friend, uh your family yeah I'm friends with your family.
Speaker 2:Some of them, not all of them no and yeah, I don't know. I feel like that's the majority of the people on my friends list yeah, it feels like you have like hundreds I think I have. My guess is between 290 and 360 that's a range yeah now I'm gonna check okay just because I want the number yeah, because I don't think I have 10. I'm going to check that too. Just hold on. I have 390 friends currently. Oh yeah, Like various co-workers as well.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:From previous jobs Previous. That's a plural and you.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:I need to find you. Oh, there you are.
Speaker 1:I'm not a friend you have 17 friends. Wow.
Speaker 2:Yeah, one of them is a cat, two of them are cats.
Speaker 1:Oh yeah, I.
Speaker 2:No, their profile pictures are just cats. Yeah, keep going.
Speaker 1:Number four you speak Swedish very well. Oh, okay, I didn't know, you didn't know. No, that was one of the ones I feel like I've said to you before, but I couldn't see it in previous birthday episodes.
Speaker 2:Right, you haven't said that one.
Speaker 1:No. So yes, you do. Okay, that's a fact, and because I have now experienced your Swedish more, oh, during Family Fika. Yeah.
Speaker 2:Yeah, that's a requirement.
Speaker 1:Yeah it during family FICA. Yeah, yeah, that's a requirement. Yeah, it is Very scary yeah.
Speaker 2:Very scary situation.
Speaker 1:I understand, but I also understand I understand, but you're saying everything wrong, yeah but I do understand what you're trying to say, so I'm just sitting there laughing.
Speaker 3:Yeah.
Speaker 1:No, you are really good, especially compared to other people. You, yeah, I mean you, you know most of the words, and I, and I mean you're really good with the grammar really yeah, because that's where I feel like I fall short oh between grammar and pronunciation yeah, uh, I don't know pronunciation no, I think you're good at both. Okay, fairly good. I, if I were an american, I don't think I would be as good as you speaking sw. Swedish yeah, okay, squeaking Swedish.
Speaker 2:Squeaking in Swedish.
Speaker 1:Squeaking in Swedish.
Speaker 2:We're speaking squirrel now.
Speaker 1:Yeah. Let's get back to English yeah, Back to the helium. I thought Back to the helium.
Speaker 2:When you start speaking squirrel, you gotta go back to the helium. Yeah, yep, so you got to go back to the helium.
Speaker 1:Yeah, yep, so that was that. You're good at Swedish.
Speaker 3:Okay, thank you.
Speaker 1:That's a fact.
Speaker 3:Okay.
Speaker 1:Okay, number five. This might come as a surprise to most of the people. Okay, not.
Speaker 2:Okay.
Speaker 1:You like snacks?
Speaker 2:Oh, I do.
Speaker 1:You do.
Speaker 2:That's probably my favorite thing.
Speaker 1:Yeah, not just snacks. I mean, you like eating?
Speaker 2:Oh yeah.
Speaker 1:And drinking.
Speaker 2:Okay.
Speaker 1:You like. Consuming.
Speaker 2:Consuming is a better term. Yes, okay so maybe I put a lot of things in my body.
Speaker 1:Yes, good for you, thank you. Things in my body yes, good for you, thank you. Yeah, I mean, it's like we haven't even did we mention our snacks tonight?
Speaker 2:uh no, but we do have a wheel of snacks yeah that um has a whole bunch of options for snacks, because when it comes to movie nights, we like to have snacks and we can't decide what to have for snacks. So I have all of these options for snacks, so we spin the wheel for movie night and it lands on a snack that we have. So for my birthday I wanted a little bit of everything for snacks. And that's what we did.
Speaker 1:We did.
Speaker 2:We did not finish them.
Speaker 1:Nay.
Speaker 2:Nay Nay.
Speaker 1:Now we're going to speak Swedish because you're so good at it, nay, okay, wait, that's enough.
Speaker 2:Wait, where's my balloon? Where's my balloon, nay?
Speaker 3:Nay Nay Okay.
Speaker 2:Yeah, yeah, very funny very funny very funny that was so funny we didn't finish all of them.
Speaker 1:We will tomorrow yes, we're gonna have a movie morning movie morning because I can't bring you home.
Speaker 2:I've been drinking drinking tequila.
Speaker 1:Yeah, okay, okay, so that was that.
Speaker 2:That was that.
Speaker 1:Snack.
Speaker 2:Snackish.
Speaker 1:Number six You're a safe person.
Speaker 2:Oh, what no?
Speaker 1:Yes, you are.
Speaker 2:Okay.
Speaker 1:I can tell you why.
Speaker 2:Please yes. Tell me why.
Speaker 1:Tell me why. Sorry, I'm not going to start singing, but I wanted to. Yeah, okay, so you're a safe person because you wait until all people put their seatbelts on in the car.
Speaker 2:As you're supposed to right.
Speaker 1:I would say, most people don't do that.
Speaker 2:Most people don't wait.
Speaker 1:Don't wait.
Speaker 2:To make sure that all of their passengers are seatbelted.
Speaker 1:Mm-hmm.
Speaker 2:Secured. Yeah, okay, why.
Speaker 1:I don't know.
Speaker 2:Lack of patience maybe?
Speaker 1:Yeah, I guess so.
Speaker 2:Well, I'd rather that everyone is safe in my car.
Speaker 1:Yeah, so that's why you're a safe person, a safe driver, okay. Yeah, so that's why you're a safe person, a safe driver. Okay, you don't go over speed limits.
Speaker 2:Not with people in the car.
Speaker 1:no, Okay, you do that without people in the car.
Speaker 2:Uh. I mean, if I go over the limit with people in the car. It's only a little bit.
Speaker 1:Is it because the people are so heavy that you can't get?
Speaker 2:Yeah, it pulls more gas.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:I usually go a little bit faster when I'm alone, especially trying to go home after I drop you off.
Speaker 1:Okay, because then I just want to be home. Yeah, as soon as possible.
Speaker 2:I haven't gotten in an accident yet from that no. Almost there was a deer just like hanging out in the middle of the road. Yeah, and I was going a bit fast.
Speaker 1:So you were unsafe.
Speaker 2:I was unsafe. The deer, on the other hand, was also being unsafe. It wasn't just me. I wasn't alone in this situation.
Speaker 1:No, so it's also the deer's fault.
Speaker 2:Yeah For being in the road.
Speaker 1:Yeah, that's true.
Speaker 2:It's not their fault that I was going too fast.
Speaker 1:No, anyhow. Yeah, you're a safe person.
Speaker 3:Okay.
Speaker 1:Number seven you are not afraid to take on challenges.
Speaker 3:Okay.
Speaker 1:With that I mean like for examples you do, spinning.
Speaker 3:Right.
Speaker 1:You do the gymnastics, you basically quit your job.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I did.
Speaker 1:I would say that's taking on challenges.
Speaker 2:I'm not doing great so far.
Speaker 1:Yet no.
Speaker 2:Not yet.
Speaker 1:Not yet, but I feel like you will.
Speaker 2:I mean, I feel like you got to fall down a little bit before you get back up.
Speaker 1:Yeah, and that's a challenge of anything.
Speaker 2:And that's something I know from experience. I trip all the time.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I'm clumsy. Exactly, that's a challenge.
Speaker 2:Sometimes I actually fall.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:I don't just trip and and pretend that nothing happened.
Speaker 1:No.
Speaker 2:Because when I'm on the ground I can't just be like what happened?
Speaker 1:You stay there for a while.
Speaker 2:I stay there for a while. I'm just sunbathing in the snow.
Speaker 1:Yeah, but you get up.
Speaker 2:Yeah, eventually, after my knee stops hurting.
Speaker 1:Yeah, after you've been there for a while, you get up. Yeah, eventually, after my knee stops hurting, yeah, after you've been there for a while, you get up. Yeah, so that's cool yeah, that's cool. Yeah, yeah, I guess so yeah yes, you really sound like a cool person.
Speaker 3:I'm a cool person.
Speaker 1:Number eight is a thing I really appreciate about you, and that is that you always go all in on holidays.
Speaker 3:Okay.
Speaker 1:So whether it's Thanksgiving, Christmas, Halloween, you know you go all in you, or is it all out. You know what I mean. You do everything. You're not like cut in corners, you actually do the whole.
Speaker 2:The whole. Thing.
Speaker 1:The whole thing. Yeah, and that's really cool because that's not how I grew up.
Speaker 3:Okay.
Speaker 1:And I like the seriousness yet playfulness of that.
Speaker 3:Okay.
Speaker 1:For example, halloween, like we're dressing up, we're doing everything, we do the makeup, we do everything about that. What I'm used to is like put on a mask and just like a sloppy mask on and do.
Speaker 2:Do what you, just wander around.
Speaker 1:No, we had like small, like parties at school. Okay, that was it, like a disco, a dance or parties at school.
Speaker 2:Okay, that was it. Like a disco, a dance or something. Yeah, dance.
Speaker 1:Yeah, that was it With you. It's so much more and I really appreciate that because it feels like I can be a kid and actually experience it better now as an adult.
Speaker 2:The correct way.
Speaker 1:Yeah, and I mean, the same goes for Christmas and Thanksgiving. I never had Thanksgiving before meeting you.
Speaker 2:There was no reason for you to no but I'm glad I get to experience that. And birthdays.
Speaker 1:Birthdays, of course, and Easter too. So yeah, you do, do everything.
Speaker 2:I do do, yes, I do this.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:I drag you along, but I do it mostly for the kids. I want my kids to have the full experience of the holidays and special times.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:But we like having you there too.
Speaker 1:Yes, I do at least. Yeah, yeah, I think you're probably the one.
Speaker 2:And I think that they're really fun. It's something to look forward to.
Speaker 1:Yeah, yeah, so do I Good. And not to forget, midsommar is also one of the Midsommar is one of my favorites.
Speaker 2:I mean, I do love Thanksgiving, I do love Halloween, my birthday is always going to be my favorite holiday, but Midsommar is also one of my tops.
Speaker 1:Yeah, okay, and Christmas.
Speaker 2:Yes, I do love Christmas as well.
Speaker 1:Halloween and Christmas are mine.
Speaker 2:But if I'm going to put a lot of effort into a holiday, it's one of those.
Speaker 1:Yeah, okay.
Speaker 2:Also Christmas.
Speaker 1:Yeah, good, that was that Number nine. You're always up for adventures that's true and not only that, you're usually the one who instigates it yeah, I'm a planner yeah, and I mean that's fun. Uh, I, I do like going on adventures. We have an adventures, we. We have an adventures yeah we have an adventure planned for yesterday. No tomorrow, I can't talk anymore.
Speaker 2:How's it?
Speaker 1:going. We have an adventures planned for yesterday.
Speaker 2:Okay, we didn't do it, I guess.
Speaker 1:No, we have an adventure planned for tomorrow.
Speaker 2:Right, yeah, I do love adventures.
Speaker 1:You do and I do too.
Speaker 2:They keep me alive, and I like stories that we can tell.
Speaker 1:Yeah, it feels like the podcast gets better when we have stories to tell.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I think so too.
Speaker 1:Yeah, and number 10. You're the bestie to a guy called Matthias and you're his walking buddy. Yeah, and number 10. You're the bestie to a guy called Matias and you're his walking buddy. Yeah, and also movie buddy.
Speaker 2:Yeah, adventure buddy.
Speaker 1:Adventure buddy.
Speaker 2:You are my bestie.
Speaker 1:I am and you are mine.
Speaker 2:I don't think that's going to change anytime soon.
Speaker 1:No, not until like Sunday, maybe, yeah.
Speaker 2:Or like a couple Tuesdays from now.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:Then you're going to realize this was a mistake.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:Yeah. It was a good list.
Speaker 1:Thank you.
Speaker 2:It was different than usual and I liked it.
Speaker 1:Thank you.
Speaker 2:Thank you, I enjoyed it.
Speaker 1:Good.
Speaker 2:I enjoy my movies that I got.
Speaker 1:Good yeah, you've already seen all of them.
Speaker 2:Yeah, but I feel like I will probably watch at least one of them again.
Speaker 1:I wonder which one.
Speaker 2:I'm not telling you.
Speaker 1:No, I hope I can also watch that one with you, with me, if I ever sleep over. Maybe, we usually watch Jackie Chan the morning afterwards.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I do have a question though.
Speaker 1:Okay.
Speaker 2:What is currently ruining your life?
Speaker 1:Good question.
Speaker 2:Thank you.
Speaker 1:I can tell you that what's currently ruining my life is that this week it's been very uncertain if I'm gonna have a headache or not. Like, I had a headache on Monday, tuesday and Thursday, so I don't know which days I'm gonna have a headache, and it's awful having these headaches. Wednesday and today were good. I'm happy that. I'm really really happy that today was a good day, because that was what I was most nervous about, but it went well.
Speaker 2:Good.
Speaker 1:Yes, what's ruining your life?
Speaker 2:I'm getting old yeah. I don't know it's really weird because I still feel like I'm really young, but sometimes I feel like that's going to change at some point.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:But I guess it really depends on who I'm around, Because while we were on the class trip I definitely felt really young.
Speaker 1:Okay, you did.
Speaker 2:I was getting along with the kids really well and I did not want to hang out with the adults. No okay, I was the cool mom, huh, that was my role. The adults no, okay, I was the cool mom, huh, that was my role. And yeah, they liked me and they thought I was funny and everything, and I felt like the adults were just way older than me boring yeah, I really did not.
Speaker 1:I didn't want to sit there and talk to them and I feel like that's one of my points with the holidays and that also makes you feel like a young person doing all the holiday stuff.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I mean, I still kind of feel pretty young.
Speaker 1:I mean.
Speaker 2:I'm not a teenager, but I feel kind of stuck with the I don't know early 20s kind of mind.
Speaker 1:Okay.
Speaker 2:I think I was never really into partying or anything. I was never invited to anything. I was a mom.
Speaker 1:Yeah, that's true.
Speaker 2:So I don't know, Maybe it's kind of a thing that maybe you kind of get stuck in the mindset that you were at when you had your first child.
Speaker 1:Maybe I don't know you wouldn't know anything about that. I don't have a child.
Speaker 2:No. But, I don't know if that'll ever.
Speaker 1:Happen.
Speaker 2:Fade away oh okay, no, no. My mindset. Okay, I don't know if that'll ever fade away and I'll actually feel like I'm a responsible adult.
Speaker 1:You were 19 when you had a child.
Speaker 2:I was still 18. I had a month until I was 19.
Speaker 1:So when your oldest is 18, he's going to be like as old as you feel, right? And when he's 19, like as old as you feel right and when he's 19, he's older than you. Feel, right, you're?
Speaker 2:you're gonna be like oh, old guy yeah you're so old yeah, I'm still gonna pull on his.
Speaker 1:He's gonna hate me yeah forever when he's like 40, he's like mom stop, it's not funny, funny you have this worst sense of humor ever will you grow up like I?
Speaker 2:I don't think I can at this point.
Speaker 1:I feel like it's too late to grow, yeah but you know that I'm always two years older than you that's true so, no matter how old you get, I'm always older, unless I die, of course yeah, and then I will probably be older than you.
Speaker 2:Yeah, at some point, two years later.
Speaker 1:Yeah, two years later you will be older than me. Then you can go to my grave and say Ha ha, I beat ya. Maybe, yeah, that's okay, you can do that.
Speaker 2:All right, thank you for the permission.
Speaker 1:Yeah, you have my permission to do that.
Speaker 3:Good.
Speaker 1:Do you think this is like a good point to wrap this up?
Speaker 2:I think so yeah.
Speaker 3:I'm all out of sips.
Speaker 1:So am I. That means we're all out of episode.
Speaker 3:Would you like to wrap this up? Yes, let's do that. Let's wrap this up All right, okay, so thank, let's wrap this up.
