SPEAKER_01:We're talking into a microphone now.
SPEAKER_00:We are finally back home.
SPEAKER_01:Back in Sweden.
SPEAKER_00:Back in Sweden. After our uh super amazing vacation.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah.
SPEAKER_00:Um, would you like to open this up?
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, let's open this up.
SPEAKER_00:Okay. Crack. Okay.
SPEAKER_01:I opened that up.
SPEAKER_00:You opened a drawer and then you closed it.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah. I can also do that. Okay, that was more like a whip.
SPEAKER_00:Oh, okay. Hello, and welcome to Roasty Toasty Ghostie. My name is Lauren.
SPEAKER_01:And I'm Matias.
SPEAKER_00:And we are going to be your besties for the next five minutes.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, probably.
SPEAKER_00:Um, so um it's it's gonna be another super quickie, because like I said, we just got home. We're exhausted, been up all night, and uh you wanna go home. I do guests, and I would like to relax for a minute.
SPEAKER_01:No time for editing.
SPEAKER_00:No, we're not editing this. So cut the ums and get to the movies. Let's move on. Let's do that. Would you like to movion?
SPEAKER_01:Let's move on.
SPEAKER_00:Cool. Okay. Okay, so today is actually it's January 12th, which is a oh gosh, it's Monday.
SPEAKER_01:It is.
SPEAKER_00:So this is going up tomorrow.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah.
SPEAKER_00:Um, let's see. We watched one movie on Saturday.
SPEAKER_01:No, one yeah, one Saturday.
SPEAKER_00:Was it on Friday, though?
SPEAKER_01:No. Saturday.
SPEAKER_00:Saturday? And then we watched another movie yesterday. Yeah. Okay. So uh the first movie was Nighthawks. Yes. And then the second movie was um Young Guns. Young Guns. Right. And I guess I have to tell you about Nighthawks.
SPEAKER_01:Yes.
SPEAKER_00:Okay. This is a movie with Sylvester Stallone and his friend Lando from Star Wars. Yeah. He's not a Jedi in this movie. No. But they are police. They are. And there's a terrorist, and Stallone's boss says, kill the guy, and Stallone says, I don't really want to. And uh he wants to d take care of the terrorist in a more civil way. And uh yeah. So um they they do that. They find the terrorist who gets plastic surgery. Yeah. I guess. And he wants to be pretty. And um uh oh, he wanted to be pretty in prison. Yeah. Which was what I thought of. Uh so now I have to use that because I said it. Perfect. Um they beat up the bad guys and that's all.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah.
SPEAKER_00:Did I miss anything?
SPEAKER_01:No. Uh well uh not really. Uh I um the bad guy is played by Rutger Hauer. Okay. Uh an actor I really like. He he's good at uh playing bad guys, but yeah, I also like him in the hero roles.
SPEAKER_00:Okay.
SPEAKER_01:So yeah, uh he's he's a good actor.
SPEAKER_00:Okay.
SPEAKER_01:He was.
SPEAKER_00:He was.
SPEAKER_01:Before he died.
SPEAKER_00:Right. Uh do you like this movie?
SPEAKER_01:I do like this movie.
SPEAKER_00:Uh it's kind of Do you like it a lot?
SPEAKER_01:Not okay, no, not really a lot, a lot. So um I'm sensing where you're I'm just looking for permission to not love it. Okay.
SPEAKER_00:Okay. So go ahead.
SPEAKER_01:Keep Yeah, I mean uh it's it's a dark movie. Uh I mean i not just I mean the subject is dark, but also the movies.
SPEAKER_00:I did notice that the colors were very dark. Everything was like nighttime.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, huh. Nighthawks.
SPEAKER_00:Interesting. Yeah. How that worked out.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah. Okay, so I do like this movie, but uh it's not uh my uh favorite of mine. No. Okay, cool. So now you can bash the movie.
SPEAKER_00:Uh I'm not gonna bash it, but I'm gonna also say that I didn't love it.
SPEAKER_01:Oh, okay. Uh can I ask why?
SPEAKER_00:Um I don't know. Okay. I just didn't. Uh you know, I feel like there was a lot going on and I wasn't keeping up. And it had nothing to do with how much I was watching the movie or not. No. It was uh I was watching the movie less because I was not interested. Okay. Yeah. Is that okay? That's okay. Am I gonna get in trouble for not being interested? No. Okay. Um Stallone had a beard also, which was not interesting me at the moment. And glasses, and he looked like a 70s guy.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, this is from early 80s. So uh yeah, it it had the 70s pacing and you know it was slower. It's not the you know, fast that it was filmed like it was in the 70s.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, and uh And that's maybe also why I wasn't like really caring for it that much. The darkness and the hair and and the the filming style, I think, also, and the story just was meh.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, yeah, I uh that's uh I understand. And uh yeah, it's um it's not it's such a early uh eighties uh so it didn't really have that. Um it's in the later eighties they they pick up the pace of the um action movies.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah.
SPEAKER_01:But yeah.
SPEAKER_00:Alright. Okay. Anything else? No. I want to hear about the other movie we were watched yesterday.
SPEAKER_01:Young Gunners. This movie stars Emilio Esteves, Charlie Sheen, uh Kiva Sutherland, Lou Diamond Phillips, um, and other people.
SPEAKER_00:The others.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah. Okay.
SPEAKER_01:Um so yeah, uh it's a story, it's a Western movie, uh about uh Billy the Kid. Have you heard of it?
SPEAKER_00:I've heard of him.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah. And um yeah, uh played by uh Emilio Estevis. And it's um he's very wild. Um but yeah, um so this movie is about uh an older gentlem gentlemen gentleman uh who's um uh teaching them to read and write or at least read and uh you know be more civilized uh because he's he's taking uh you know rascals in I don't know what what would delinquents.
SPEAKER_00:Keep going. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01:Uh in and um and uh yeah tries to make them more uh civilized. And um and then one day he gets he's uh murdered. He's um Someone killed him. Yeah, someone killed him. Uh I was trying to find a word.
SPEAKER_00:Anyway, um Don't look for the difficult word.
SPEAKER_01:He's dead and uh the the young uh um young delinquents uh wants to r um avenge his death.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah. And yeah, that's basically what the movie's about. And there there are some uh um you know um uh arguments uh between the the guys as well.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah.
SPEAKER_01:And uh yeah.
SPEAKER_00:So boy drama.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, boy drama. So um yeah, what uh did I miss something?
SPEAKER_00:I don't know.
SPEAKER_01:No. Anyway, uh what did you think about this movie?
SPEAKER_00:I enjoyed this movie a lot more than the other movie.
SPEAKER_01:Okay.
SPEAKER_00:Um I like the the movies that are about like kind of historical movies in a way. Kind of. Yeah. Not like I don't know, if if you think like way back in the 1800s, if if it's a story about something then and it's all like colonial people and stuff, old things, it's that feels kind of boring. But um this one was fun because I've heard of Billy the Kid and generally what his story was, but I didn't know his actual like why he was famous and like the purpose of what he was doing, and maybe it wasn't just because he was trigger happy, but he was actually defending uh people who were getting murdered.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah.
SPEAKER_00:You know, innocent people.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah.
SPEAKER_00:Um, yeah. I really liked this movie. Yeah. I enjoyed it a lot. Yeah. Uh what did you think?
SPEAKER_01:Uh me too. I also like this movie. Um it um uh yeah, I mean it's um it's it's pretty i i it it's fun at times and it's uh kind of violent at other times and you know, these uh like Billy Billy the kid, he's not he's really an anti-hero. He's he's a good guy uh in his way, but he's also not a good guy in other ways.
SPEAKER_00:He kills a lot of people.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah.
SPEAKER_00:But maybe the people who deserve to die.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, but sometimes it almost feels unnecessary.
SPEAKER_00:Like in the bar.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah. He could have easily walked away from that without violence, but he was having fun, I guess.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, so yeah, uh it's uh it's um like a he's on the line of being good.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah.
SPEAKER_00:Anything else?
SPEAKER_01:No, uh I I think I'm good with that.
SPEAKER_00:Alright, well, that was those movies.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah.
SPEAKER_00:Um with that said, would you like to wrap this up? Yeah. And go to bed? Yeah. Go to sleep. Maybe for like 24 hours.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah. I mean, um, and next week we're gonna be back with uh an actual episode.
SPEAKER_00:We will be back on track. Yes next week. We will tell you all about our vacation and all the adventures we went on.
SPEAKER_01:Yes.
SPEAKER_00:So that will be next Tuesday.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah.
SPEAKER_00:Uh let's wrap this up then.
SPEAKER_01:Let's wrap it up.
SPEAKER_00:Alright. Well, thank you for listening.
SPEAKER_01:Thank you.
SPEAKER_00:And like I said, next Tuesday, new episode. It's gonna be uh much better than the past few episodes. Uh we've been trying to be consistent with our episodes, whether they are interesting or not. But they will get better from now on. It's a new year. Happy New Year. Happy New Year. Oh my goodness, we forgot to say happy new year.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, we're dead.
SPEAKER_00:But now we're saying it.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah.
SPEAKER_00:Um thank you. Bye bye for everything. Uh have a good life.
SPEAKER_01:Yes, bye bye.
SPEAKER_00:Goodbye.
