SPEAKER_03

In a world where everything is unscripted, this is roasty, toasty, roast. I feel like I was kinda good with the food yesterday because I only I only had two hamburgers.

SPEAKER_00

Alright. Yeah, yeah, that's okay. Were they singles or doubles?

SPEAKER_03

Singles.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, then yeah, that's okay. I wouldn't say that's so bad.

SPEAKER_03

It's good for me.

SPEAKER_00

It's good for me.

SPEAKER_03

For being me. It's not good. It's not good for me. It's good for being me.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. It's good compared to the average.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, that's true.

SPEAKER_00

There wasn't even five, so could have easily gone for ten, but I stuck with two.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. See? Now it sounds way better.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, they mostly come in eight packs. Yeah. But I'm sure you could clear out a 20 pack. Yeah. Yeah. If it was just the patties, nothing else.

SPEAKER_03

Then I need to buy another one since they only come in eight packs.

SPEAKER_00

You know, you are probably hitting rock bottom when you buy a 20-pack of patties and just cook them all and snack on the entire thing.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. By yourself.

SPEAKER_00

By yourself. I feel like once you get to that point, maybe you should be concerned.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, true. Next month I'm gonna be good.

SPEAKER_00

Right. Then we're gonna be halfway through the year and you're still saying, yeah, next month. I'll start next month.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. Should we start?

SPEAKER_00

Maybe we should. Yeah. So let's open this up.

SPEAKER_03

Yes. Pretty good.

Welcome To Roasty Toasty Ghosty

SPEAKER_00

Yay. Hello and welcome to Roasty Toasty Ghosty. My name is Lauren.

SPEAKER_03

And I'm Matias.

SPEAKER_00

This is the podcast in which you will learn nothing at all.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Very exciting. We are going to be your besties for the next hour or so.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, probably.

SPEAKER_00

Yep.

SPEAKER_03

I think so.

SPEAKER_00

That's cool.

SPEAKER_03

Cool.

SPEAKER_00

And we have a very fun episode for today. I think. I don't know. We'll see.

SPEAKER_03

We'll see.

SPEAKER_00

I actually don't know.

SPEAKER_03

No. I don't know yet either.

SPEAKER_00

It could be the worst episode ever.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

It could also be the best.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

It it could be kind of funny, which is what we go for.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Matias.

SPEAKER_03

Yes.

SPEAKER_00

Hi.

SPEAKER_03

Hello.

SPEAKER_00

How are you doing?

SPEAKER_03

I'm doing well.

SPEAKER_00

Are you?

SPEAKER_03

Uh you well, right now.

SPEAKER_00

I think you're on the same level as last week.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, actually. But uh, I mean it's not worse.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

Well, not the coughing.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. You're still coffee?

SPEAKER_03

I'm still coffee. And I don't like it.

SPEAKER_00

No. I get that.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, how are you?

SPEAKER_00

I'm good.

SPEAKER_03

You're good.

SPEAKER_00

I'm better than last week, I think.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Or I might be the same, just like on a different level. My my issues are on a different Yeah. I'm the same for a different reason.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

I'm not hormonal today. I'm stressed.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And that's how I'm doing.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

I haven't seen you this week.

SPEAKER_03

No.

Birthdays, Invitations, And Busyness

SPEAKER_00

What have you been up to?

SPEAKER_03

So last week and it was my birthday.

SPEAKER_00

It was.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Happy birthday.

SPEAKER_03

Thank you.

SPEAKER_00

Again.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, thank you.

SPEAKER_00

I didn't see you.

SPEAKER_03

You did not see me.

SPEAKER_00

I wasn't invited.

SPEAKER_03

No.

SPEAKER_00

Again. I wait for the year when I actually get invited to your birthday parties.

SPEAKER_03

Well, you all you're always busy, so.

SPEAKER_00

I was not busy. I was sitting at home all day waiting for you to tell me to come over.

SPEAKER_03

Oh yeah, sure.

SPEAKER_00

Well, I mean, yeah, I I didn't really do anything after I taught gymnastics. I did go home and just sit around.

SPEAKER_03

But well, you should have come over then.

SPEAKER_00

I wasn't invited. I've never been invited. Well you never want me there.

SPEAKER_03

You can ask. Sorry.

SPEAKER_00

Go ahead and hoe.

SPEAKER_03

Did you call me a hoe?

SPEAKER_00

Ho Yes.

SPEAKER_03

Yes, okay. I was wondering.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

But yeah, I thought you were busy all day, so that's why you weren't invited.

SPEAKER_00

Honestly, I don't remember.

SPEAKER_03

No, because you're always talking about how busy you are.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. So um And then I realize I'm not actually as well.

SPEAKER_03

That's not really my fault then.

SPEAKER_00

The thing is that like most of my busyness is like online. Like I'm always doing things online with my emails and stuff. But this week I have had physical busyness. Busyness.

SPEAKER_03

Busyness.

SPEAKER_00

Busyness.

SPEAKER_03

Business.

SPEAKER_00

Business. Busyness, business. Yeah. Business, busyness. So I wasn't invited. Because you assumed I was busy. Yes. Okay.

SPEAKER_03

Because you're always telling me how busy you are. And I mean, so if you are busy online, would that be like if I invent uh invent you?

SPEAKER_00

Invent me? Invent you?

SPEAKER_03

No, if I invite you, would you like spend most of the time on your phone?

SPEAKER_00

I would try not to, but if I had a really important, like urgent email that like I've been waiting for, uh I'm I'll probably like quickly write it and send it and then be back.

SPEAKER_03

Okay. Or you put your phone on the table and be on your watch instead.

SPEAKER_00

I don't get my emails on my watch.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

My watch I have set so that it's only like texts and calls that come to my watch and like certain other notifications, but like not like only the important things. My emails do not come to my watch.

SPEAKER_03

They're not important.

SPEAKER_00

They're not no, no. Usually my emails can wait, but it's like just this week it feels like. Or recently I've been getting important emails.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. Okay. If I knew that you weren't busy, I would have invited you.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. So I didn't know. You didn't know that you weren't busy, or I I didn't know that if I even attempted or like ask. Yeah. I usually get shot down.

SPEAKER_03

No. I don't think so.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

You're always welcome.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. This time I just assumed.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, okay, and I assumed you were busy.

SPEAKER_00

So we both assumed and now we're both sad. Or at least one of us is sad.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, I don't think you're really that sad. So yeah. I got over it. Yeah. It's like whatever. But I'm sad.

SPEAKER_00

Well, it was just like, yeah, I mean, I'm I'm used to it, so.

The Back Pain Saga

SPEAKER_03

Okay. Okay, so I I want to talk about my birthday.

SPEAKER_00

Please. I missed out on everything.

SPEAKER_03

Okay. Yeah. My birthday started with me working my butt off. We were going to a nearby city to get some like firewood. They're heavy. Really heavy. I broke my back. My lower back hurt so much from doing that. And I was so sweaty. And it was awful. And that was my birthday. Keep in mind. So yeah, we went there twice. We did two loads of that.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

It wasn't a great start. And I felt my back like the entire day. Well, I still kind of feel it. Yeah, and then um we went home. We had uh this FICA with a lot of people, and I got some presents like chips and candy and stuff, and also some clothes. That's good also. I like my presents. It didn't really happen that much. We were mostly talking that day.

SPEAKER_00

And then you completely fell apart, like the next day, right?

SPEAKER_03

The next day, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

You got older and then you crumbled to pieces.

SPEAKER_03

It's so funny because I turned half 70, 35. Yes. So Oh, you're old.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Okay.

SPEAKER_03

Halfway to 70. And the next day I had a monster that when I took like this last sip, and that's when my upper back just did it crack? It didn't really crack. It was more like instant pain in all the upper back, and I could barely breathe. I'm like, so I had to leave the room, and I'm like, I what what what do I do? I luckily I don't feel that anymore. Yeah. So yeah, that was hurtful. It wasn't nice. And then later on, I went to the bathroom.

SPEAKER_02

So yeah.

Numb Legs, Near Litter Box Disaster

SPEAKER_03

I had a bathroom accident. And kind of. Yeah. No, really. I know. I I sat on the toilet and the thing is I started playing um Sudoku on my phone.

SPEAKER_01

Uh-huh.

SPEAKER_03

And uh I played this 16 by 16 Sudoku.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

And that takes a long time to solve the entire thing.

SPEAKER_01

Uh-huh.

SPEAKER_03

So I sat there for at least half an hour solving that thing. As I'm standing up, I feel like I don't have any legs anymore. They're totally numb.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, you're not supposed to sit on the toilet for that long.

SPEAKER_03

No, I know. So they're numb, and a normal person would probably have felt back, but I'm like, no, I'm gonna go. And then it's really hard to walk when you don't feel your legs.

SPEAKER_00

Right.

SPEAKER_03

So I like stumbled forward and almost ended up in the litter box. And I somehow I broke my foot.

unknown

Oh my god.

SPEAKER_03

I don't know. I had to lay there for a few minutes to get my legs back.

SPEAKER_00

What happened to your foot?

SPEAKER_03

I don't know. Uh I must have stepped wrong.

SPEAKER_00

You like sprained your ankle or something.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, something like that. I was like, uh oh, this is not good. So I had to lay there for a few minutes, then I could walk, and I was like limping the entire day because we went to my apartment afterwards. But then when I got home, I went to my bed just to rest.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, have fun with that.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. After that, I was gonna walk, and uh I couldn't stand on the foot, and it it was uh so scary. Yeah, and uh luckily we have this walker thing with wheels on it after my grandma. Yeah, so I had to use that. Yeah, I was like an 80-year-old with uh a walker walking around in the house, yeah. So 35.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, scary age starting starting off strong.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, yeah. So yeah, I'm still limping from the foot thing, but it's better. It's better. Okay, right now it doesn't really hurt, it's more like uncomfortable feeling, you know. I don't wanna have pressure on that side, you know. You you understand.

SPEAKER_00

I get it. Yeah, I've had my share of foot, ankle, knee, leg, hip, back pains. Yeah. I go to gymnastics and I always leave with at least one of those.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, okay.

SPEAKER_00

Maybe two.

SPEAKER_03

And my mom thought I looked like a horror character. Uh that, you know, limping.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Like I I don't know if it's like a zombie or yeah, maybe. Or a zombie like my life right now.

SPEAKER_00

Cool. Sounds like fun.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. The rest of the week I've been limping. The funny thing is that on Wednesday I'm jumping ahead a little because I was expecting a call from uh Arbitsfamilien.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

What do you even call that in English?

SPEAKER_00

The employment agency.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

I was expecting a call from them. The thing is that when I got the call, I was on the toilet.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

Toilet Calls And Life Hacks

SPEAKER_03

And that call was gonna be about half an hour. And I'm like, I can't leave the toilet and just flush that guy listening to me, like getting up from the toilet.

SPEAKER_00

No, you have the conversation on the toilet.

SPEAKER_03

I had the conversation on the toilet.

SPEAKER_00

Why are you constantly on the toilet? How much time per day do you spend playing Sudoku on your phone on the toilet?

SPEAKER_03

Not that much.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, well, this is twice in one week. You're stuck on the toilet.

SPEAKER_03

I'm stuck uh well, that one time was uh not my playing sudoku. Okay. It was taking a phone call.

SPEAKER_00

Alright.

SPEAKER_03

So that was just poor timed phone call from them.

SPEAKER_00

That happens sometimes.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. So I had to sit on the toilet for half an hour, and I'm like, this is gonna be scary when I uh hang up because I might fall into the litter box again.

SPEAKER_00

If that happens to me, someone calls me while I'm on the toilet, because it has happened quite a few times. Either you can do like the super quick flush and then run out and take the call if you have the time for that, I guess.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Or yeah, you just sit there and have the phone call on the toilet, and I have like put the phone on mute if they're like doing something on their side, like typing or whatever.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Put it on mute and then flush.

SPEAKER_03

Uh, I never even thought about it.

SPEAKER_00

And go really quick out and then unmute and pretty that they don't try talking to me while I'm muted.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, no, that didn't even come to my mind.

SPEAKER_00

That's a suggestion for next time.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, good, good life hacks.

SPEAKER_00

Life hack. There's a mute button. Yeah. It's just knowing when that pocket of time is and it takes speed.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, I did survive the phone call, and uh everything went well. One thing that's good with taking a phone call on the toilet is that you're completely alone. You don't have other people walking in or anything like that.

SPEAKER_00

Well, not maybe maybe in your world. In my world, there's no privacy. There's still people banging on the door.

SPEAKER_03

Okay. Yeah. Well, where I live right now, we have toilet each, so uh yeah. That's a good thing.

SPEAKER_00

But what if people are looking for you? Like Matias, can you help me?

SPEAKER_03

That could be a possibility, I guess. I think they would try to call me first.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

Uh but uh they also knew that I was expecting a phone call.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, while you were on the toilet.

SPEAKER_03

Not not really that, but uh that they didn't know. So maybe they would be like, okay, he's hiding now.

SPEAKER_00

He's taking his in the bathroom.

SPEAKER_03

In the toilet. Hiding in the toilet. So yeah, that's what happened in my life this week.

Lauren’s Stress, School, And Gymnastics

SPEAKER_00

That's a lot that's happened this week. We've spent a lot of time talking about your week. All right, some highlights of my week. I uh I worked, I went to work on Saturday, but I got out at three. So I could have come over after.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, so you know, that was the thing.

SPEAKER_00

That was the thing.

SPEAKER_03

Because I knew that you were working.

SPEAKER_00

I was, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

You told me that.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that was it. Sorry, but uh sorry, you were right. Yeah. This last week, I managed to save all of my uh physical meetings for Wednesday. Okay, and I had a debate speech that I had to present in my Swedish class on Wednesday, and I wasn't very happy with it, with how it went. Oh. I wasn't happy with anything, and I had to leave the class early, or I thought I was right on time. I didn't know that we were gonna spend longer time in the classroom than usual, but my daughter had a parent-teacher meeting that I had to rush to.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And so we went and did that, and then I went home and figured I would go through my assignments for this upcoming week, and I got so overwhelmed that I broke down. We're supposed to do an analysis on a speech. We're working on speeches right now, I guess. The analysis is supposed to be done on a specific speech, and we were provided a YouTube link to this speech, and it was in German. And so I broke down even more because I don't know German. So I don't know how I'm supposed to do an analysis on the speech that I can't understand.

SPEAKER_03

No, and this is Swedish class.

SPEAKER_00

Swedish class, why is it in German? Uh so I got really sad and overwhelmed and really stressed. But I realized the next day that there was a file sent to me with the speech in Swedish, so I could read it and understand it. Yeah. And my teacher talked me through everything the next day as well. But I also had a really big gymnastics meeting on Wednesday, and I got to talk to all the people about all the things that I'm trying to do, everything that I'm working on right now, because it's it's big, big things. I mentioned before, big things are happening, and I'm doing big things, and I'm really excited about all of it. And uh you're stressing out. I'm stressing out because it's a lot. It's a lot on both ends, and I'm still taking care of you know a family and everything else around me and trying to be good and uh survive life and stuff, and that's what I've done this week.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And I got sad last night because I had to cancel spinning again.

SPEAKER_01

Oh.

Spinning Class Cancellations And Doubt

SPEAKER_00

Because once again, the same people signed up and then the same people dropped out right when they saw that it was me. Oh, okay. So yeah. A little sad, but you think it's because of you? I'm pretty sure it's because of me.

SPEAKER_03

Okay. Because of the music or maybe.

SPEAKER_00

I don't know. I don't know. But I keep getting told, oh, there's so many other reasons that it could be. Like people could be sick, but it's like the third or fourth week in a row that they've done this to me. It's like, what what do you mean? Is that I can't I can't imagine that people would be so sick all these weeks in a row and cancel on me. Or I don't know, have something else, or I don't even know. Even one of the other like instructors in the group canceled on me. Like, even they couldn't support me. Like, come on. Uh yeah, that's uh that's how it's going.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Today's Friday.

SPEAKER_03

It is.

SPEAKER_00

It is midday again. Yeah. It's like four o'clock.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

It is the day before the last day of February.

SPEAKER_03

Yes, it is.

SPEAKER_00

27th.

SPEAKER_03

27th.

SPEAKER_00

2026.

SPEAKER_03

Uh huh.

SPEAKER_00

Still.

SPEAKER_03

Yep. Still.

SPEAKER_00

It's been like two months into the year. Wow.

SPEAKER_03

Well, one short month.

SPEAKER_00

One very short month. And it felt like spring today.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I went out this morning to walk the dog. I was gonna say fake dog. He's a real dog. The dog that I'm watching. I took him out for a walk this morning, and it was like all the snow was melting, and it was really wet outside, and it was warm, and the birds were dripping.

SPEAKER_03

Okay. And so it felt like spring. Did you say the birds were dripping?

SPEAKER_00

The birds were also dripping. They were melting. The snow and the birds were all melting, and everything around me was melting, and it was warm. But we had a movie day.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

We watched movies. Would you like to movie on?

SPEAKER_03

Let's movie on, finally.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, so today we watched uh D Talks and blus blisters. Um bl blended.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, blended.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that's blisters.

SPEAKER_03

Blisters.

SPEAKER_00

We watched blisters. Oh no. I'm gonna say it again, aren't I? We watched blended blended first.

SPEAKER_03

Yes, we did.

SPEAKER_00

Would you like to tell me about this movie?

SPEAKER_03

I can tell you about this movie. This is a movie starring Adam Sander and Drew Barrymore once again.

SPEAKER_00

They are in all the movies together.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. Okay. This is not a coincidence that all those three movies were in a row.

SPEAKER_00

Oh.

SPEAKER_03

Oh. They have uh kids of their own.

SPEAKER_00

Right. They all they have their own kids separately from other marriages.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, he has three daughters, she has two sons.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

It starts with them having a blind date that doesn't go too well. Later in the movie, they go on a vacation separately, but they end up at the same place, and there a spark starts between them and the families.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

And uh they start, you know, l they like uh the other person's kids, and you know, they they help each other with the kids. And uh yeah, I I think that's what the movie is about, right?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, blended is the two families blending together.

Blended: Family Comedy Reactions

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, exactly. Yeah. What did you think about this movie?

SPEAKER_00

Terry Cruz.

SPEAKER_03

Terry Cruz is in this movie.

SPEAKER_00

She uh was telling us all about how the families were getting blended.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

The whole time.

SPEAKER_03

And I like the cameo from the guy Tom.

SPEAKER_00

Oh yeah. I'm Tom. Hi. For a second. Yeah. And Kevin Nealan was in the movie. And who was his woman? Do you know her name?

SPEAKER_03

I don't know her name.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

What did you think about this movie?

SPEAKER_00

I like the movie. I felt like I could relate to a lot of the family problems. Uh maybe more than you.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, definitely.

SPEAKER_00

Um except for the kids being all excited for their vacation.

SPEAKER_03

Excited and thankful.

SPEAKER_00

And thankful. Yeah. Thanks, Mom. I'm so happy that we're here. And this is amazing. Because I believe fairly recently we went on a really big uh vacation adventure.

SPEAKER_02

We did.

SPEAKER_00

And not one of my kids gave me that response. So a little disappointing, but um, and possibly uh I find that part of the movie unrealistic.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, I'd say so.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. So uh but I I like the movie. It was funny.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And uh sad again, but funny.

SPEAKER_03

If you ask me, this is the weakest one of the three movies they made together so far, but I mean I I still enjoyed it. I still like it.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

But I just prefer the other two.

SPEAKER_01

That's all.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, that's all. Uh I mean it's hard to top those two.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

The first one is from uh The Wedding Zinger is from '98. The second one, Fifty First Dates, is from 2004. This one is from 2014. So it would be cool if they could make a movie every decade with them.

SPEAKER_00

That would be cool.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. So they have three years to make another movie together.

SPEAKER_00

Or something. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

So do that. Hey, Drew and Adam, get on that thing. Make another movie. Yeah. I really do like them together. They have a good chemistry.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. They are good. I do like them too. Would you ever consider a trip to Africa?

SPEAKER_03

I don't know. I don't think I would be as excited with that idea.

SPEAKER_00

Because it's warm?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. Mostly, yes.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Would you?

SPEAKER_00

I think so.

SPEAKER_03

Hmm. Thinking about if I would pick another continent to go to, I would rather go to Asia.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that could be fun.

SPEAKER_03

Because that would be cool.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

I would like to go to Hong Kong.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Sorry. Why not?

Travel Dreams: Africa Or Asia

SPEAKER_00

I mean, well, I don't know. The thing is that the thing I that concerns me the most about going to uh like Hong Kong or anywhere in Asia is like I can't read Chinese.

SPEAKER_03

No, that's true.

SPEAKER_00

I can't read the signs unless they're translated to English. And I don't know, I haven't really researched. I haven't gone on Google Maps and gone to Hong Kong.

SPEAKER_03

No, here's some uh but what do you say? Um for do more pre-judgment is that I think the air isn't that good over there. Right. Whenever you see a clip or and then it's some it looks like there's smog all over the place.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, that's just my you know picture of it. Yeah. That it's gonna be hard to breathe over there. Yeah, having asthma is not great. Not the best.

SPEAKER_00

No, I guess not.

SPEAKER_03

And like you said, Chinese. It's difficult to read.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

The language.

SPEAKER_00

Right.

SPEAKER_03

I like the people, I think. I don't know. I I haven't met that many.

SPEAKER_00

I haven't met the all the Chinese people.

SPEAKER_03

No. I met a cat from Hong Kong.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. I've met a guy from China and uh girl. They helped teach me how to do my job.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_00

It was cool. And it was like always fun when they had a minute to themselves and like talk Chinese to each other. Yeah. And I just like stand there and listen. Like that's so cool.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, you don't know what they're saying.

SPEAKER_00

No, but it sounds cool.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, probably you know, like uh insulting you or something.

SPEAKER_00

Maybe. Like these guys are idiots.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. Yeah. I don't know. No, but um, I would like to go to places that I've seen in movies.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

That's what I'm interested in.

SPEAKER_00

We did that. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

With it.

SPEAKER_00

And I think it would be kind of fun to go to Africa after watching this movie.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I want to see the elephants.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. And I mean, they're in Africa in Who Am I?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

At the beginning, you know.

SPEAKER_00

Are there elephants?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. And giraffes.

SPEAKER_00

I want to see elephants.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. They're also a snake.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Anything else about the movie?

SPEAKER_03

No. I don't think so.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. Then I think I'm gonna tell you about detox.

SPEAKER_03

Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I'm gonna try. This movie has Stallone and some other people.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And uh there's a bad guy who is attacking everyone who Stallone likes.

SPEAKER_02

Uh-huh.

SPEAKER_00

And so Stallone and some other police people, because uh Stallone works as a police, I guess. And so there's like a group of other police people who decide to live in a very cold place.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, it's like a detox facility or what Okay. Yeah, they're there for like rehab. Yeah. After like drinking and drugs.

SPEAKER_00

He started drinking after Oh yeah, because the bad guy killed his girlfriend. And then he started drinking a lot. And I guess he went to this detox place and it was in a very cold area. Uh there's lots of snow and ice. Then I guess everyone who was living there gets killed off one by one.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And uh Stallone has to find out who the bad guy is.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And then he beats him up. Yeah. That's all.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Do you like this movie?

SPEAKER_03

Yes, I do.

SPEAKER_00

Why?

SPEAKER_03

Why? It's a violent movie, and I like violent movies.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

No, I do like the who done it kind of movies that you don't really know who who the killer is, like a mystery movie, you know.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. So I I don't mind this movie. It m it's not like my favorite movie of his, but I still kind of like it.

SPEAKER_00

Go ahead.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. So my question is, why do you hate this movie?

SPEAKER_00

Uh, it's kind of like a horror movie. It has lots of horror vibes and scenes that are scary, and the guy drills through people's eyeballs.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I don't like it. I don't like eyeball things. Okay. Eyes are pretty, but they should not be destroyed.

SPEAKER_02

No.

SPEAKER_00

And it is very violent. And that's why I'm I'm gonna be brave and say I don't think I like the movie. Okay. And I'm gonna add a sorry here.

SPEAKER_03

Sorry. Go ahead. From me.

SPEAKER_00

Yes. I'm not going to apologize for disliking the movie. No. I expect that my opinion is respected.

SPEAKER_02

Yes.

SPEAKER_00

And we can leave the room still being okay with each other.

SPEAKER_03

But I'm not gonna say I'm sorry for showing you this movie either.

SPEAKER_00

No, you don't have to.

SPEAKER_03

No, like I did Platoon.

SPEAKER_00

That was a different story. That one was extreme. This one I could watch through it and like be completely okay with it. I watched the movie, I gave it a chance, and I came to the conclusion that I didn't really like it.

SPEAKER_03

Okay. That's okay. That's fine.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, thank you. Okay. Look how we've grown.

SPEAKER_03

Look at my face.

Violence, Eyeballs, And Casting Chat

SPEAKER_00

Yes, it's very nice, but keep it over there. Hands to yourself. Okay. Do you have anything super fun to say about this movie that's like such a downer?

SPEAKER_03

Um, I mean, uh most of the people, uh the actors in this movie have been like bad guys in other movies. So that I think that's kind of the casting choice. Took people that are so uh typecasted as bad guys in this movie, so you you wouldn't know who the bad guy is.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

I like that.

SPEAKER_00

Now you need to list off all the people they missed.

SPEAKER_03

All the people they missed.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, all the other people who are usually bad guys.

SPEAKER_03

Okay. Gary Bucey.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, yeah. Okay.

SPEAKER_03

That's like the top of my list. He is always bad guy.

SPEAKER_00

I guess so. I don't remember his name, but the guy who was in Breakfast Club and Die Hard and that all those.

SPEAKER_03

Paul Gleason?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Him.

SPEAKER_03

Richard Norton.

SPEAKER_00

The other Paul who was no, maybe his name wasn't Paul.

SPEAKER_03

But uh the other Paul that anyone named Paul?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. I'm gonna say. No. Um the the one from Beach Beach Boys, right? Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, yeah. Paul Giamati.

SPEAKER_00

He was a Paul. Yeah, he should have been in this movie.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. Alan Rickman.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, yeah, he's a bad guy. It's more difficult for me.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I don't know.

SPEAKER_03

No.

SPEAKER_00

No. But there's a lot of that was a list of other people who could have been in this movie.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. But I still think they had a good list of bad guy people in this. So Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

It was still good.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. Okay. In that that way.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Anything else?

SPEAKER_03

No.

SPEAKER_00

Alright. Good.

SPEAKER_03

Do you want to take a break or something?

Quick Break: Bunny Recovery Update

SPEAKER_00

Oh my goodness. I feel like I could use a break.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I'm gonna go for a pea break.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

And you're gonna go for a research break. Yeah. Yeah. And we will be right back.

SPEAKER_03

Right back.

SPEAKER_00

Right back. We are back.

SPEAKER_03

Yes, we are. Hello. Hello.

SPEAKER_00

Did you have a good break?

SPEAKER_03

I did have a good break.

SPEAKER_00

Good.

SPEAKER_03

Did you?

SPEAKER_00

I did.

SPEAKER_03

You went to the toilet.

SPEAKER_00

I did. And then I pet a bunny on my way back.

SPEAKER_03

Oh.

SPEAKER_00

She got fixed on Monday.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, for good.

SPEAKER_00

So she is getting her energy back now.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

And really wants to go back and play with the other bunny. Uh, but she's not allowed to yet.

SPEAKER_03

No. No, that's true.

SPEAKER_00

But soon enough.

SPEAKER_03

She's got stitches there and she's got stitches.

SPEAKER_00

She's not really allowed to hop that much.

SPEAKER_03

No.

SPEAKER_00

So like her little area is perfect for recovering bunnies.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, that's true.

SPEAKER_00

We didn't have that when any of the other bunnies got fixed.

SPEAKER_03

No.

SPEAKER_00

So yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, she does she doesn't like it.

SPEAKER_00

No, she's not happy. She's not oh, she's so grumpy right now. She hates taking her medication. She cringes from just the syringe.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_00

You know, it's not like there's no needle, but she's like awkward. She's like, no, blah. Like she she does that like uh like flinching just from the syringe.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, get it.

SPEAKER_00

But I tricked her this morning into taking her medication. Well, last night I like put it on her paw so she could lick it off. But then I realized that she could flick it off, flick it off. Yeah, not lick it. Yeah, she could flick it off instead. Flick it off, lick it off and then like not get the entire dosage. So today I mixed it with some mashed banana.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

And that was why I had the rest of the banana when we started watching movies. Oh, because you can't give them that much. So I gave her a little bit and I gave uh the other bunny a little bit, and then I saved the rest for me.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. Alright. All right.

SPEAKER_00

Should we transition to this next part?

History Lesson Setup: No AI

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Next half of the episode. Today we are recording 170.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, yes.

SPEAKER_00

And I guess every tenth episode we do a history lesson.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I am going to tell you a history lesson. This is the first time in a long time we are not using AI. We are going to test my imagination.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

My fantasy. Uh AI is ruining my life. Oh my god, I have a zero fantasy anymore.

SPEAKER_03

No, it's it's kind of funny that you do the improv. Yeah. That I I like to do improv. And you say you're bad at it.

SPEAKER_00

I am.

SPEAKER_03

And uh then it ends up with you doing the improv instead of me.

SPEAKER_00

Well, you've gotten to do it a couple times.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. The future.

SPEAKER_00

The future.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

You can do a future episode next time.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. Maybe.

SPEAKER_00

Maybe. Or maybe we should do these things more often, like every fifth.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, maybe. We'll see. We'll see.

SPEAKER_00

We'll see. So today it's my turn.

SPEAKER_03

Yes.

SPEAKER_00

To tell you a history lesson.

SPEAKER_03

A history lesson.

SPEAKER_00

About what? What are we learning about today?

SPEAKER_03

Uh okay, so you're an American, you know. Wow. Yes.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, I am.

SPEAKER_03

But uh I have noticed something that uh Americans do celebrate, but you don't really mention that much.

SPEAKER_00

I don't care.

SPEAKER_03

No.

SPEAKER_00

So I don't even need to know.

SPEAKER_03

I would like to know more about St. Patrick's Day.

SPEAKER_00

Have we done St. Patrick's Day?

SPEAKER_03

Have we?

SPEAKER_00

Have we?

SPEAKER_03

Maybe we have, I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

You know what? I'm gonna teach you about St. Patrick's Day. Again. The modern version.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

The today version.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, I don't know. Well, that's meow.

SPEAKER_00

Meow.

SPEAKER_03

Like updated history.

Reimagining St. Patrick’s Day

SPEAKER_00

Alright, yes. I'm gonna update the history.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Uh we've done more research, and this is what we have uh discovered.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. So a long, long time ago, uh in a galaxy far away. Don't keep going. No.

SPEAKER_02

No.

SPEAKER_00

I'm trying. I'm trying. I'm gonna get over this. Anyway. Okay. So many centuries ago, try rewording this. There was a colony, a village of people living together, like people do.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. And one of them had lots of gold. Okay. Very rich. Okay. Very rich guy. Okay.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, okay.

SPEAKER_00

And he liked to keep it all to himself. And because he wanted to keep it to himself, he had to go hide it. Okay. All his gold somewhere. And there was uh a magical bird fairy guy with wings.

SPEAKER_03

Right now I'm seeing like a gay guy flying.

SPEAKER_00

Yes. Right. With with eagle wings.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

And he flew to this village because he he was just going for his daily flight.

SPEAKER_03

This is my daily flight. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Some people go for a jog. Yeah. Okay.

SPEAKER_03

Or walk.

SPEAKER_00

This guy has wings. If you could fly, you'd do it too.

SPEAKER_03

Of course. I would rather fly.

SPEAKER_00

You need to exercise those wings.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, exactly. You wouldn't fly if you had wings.

SPEAKER_00

Not that far up. No. I have like a few centimeters above the ground. I would hover. Yeah. Um but yeah, this guy is fearless. Because he has flown his whole life. And um it was the rock. He he looked very similar.

SPEAKER_03

A flying rock.

SPEAKER_00

A flying rock.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Uh yes. And he noticed fairy? Yeah. Oh, yeah. Bird guy. Okay, yeah. And um he was flying over this village and noticed that people seemed upset. Okay. So he comes down uh and talks to the people. He's like, why are you all upset? And they're like, We have no money, and this one guy is hoarding all the money. Oh. All the gold. And when we, you know, rob his house, there's nothing there.

SPEAKER_01

Oh.

SPEAKER_00

They're they're all burgling his house. Trying to find his money.

SPEAKER_03

What are you doing? I'm burgling.

SPEAKER_00

Burgling? You know.

SPEAKER_03

I'm burgling the fairy.

SPEAKER_00

No, you don't burgle the fairy. You burgle the the bad guy.

SPEAKER_03

The bad guy. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

The Scrooge.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

So you've got Mr. Scrooge, McScrooge, whatever his name is. Yeah. McGyver. Um who plays the role of Scrooge?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, okay.

SPEAKER_00

You've got McGyver who plays the role of Scrooge in this version of uh Christmas. Christmas.

SPEAKER_03

Christmas.

SPEAKER_00

Christmas story. Christmas? It's a Christmas story. Oh, okay. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

About St. Patrick's thing.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. We'll get there. Okay. But he's played by MacGyver.

SPEAKER_03

Okay. And the rock is the is it the old MacGyver or the new one?

SPEAKER_00

Probably the old one, because it's a long time ago.

SPEAKER_03

Good, because it's uh that's the good MacGyver.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Um.

SPEAKER_03

But he's bad now.

SPEAKER_00

He's bad. Yeah. Uh he's just playing the part of a bad guy.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. I kind of want to see this.

SPEAKER_00

I would love to uh animate history lessons. How cool. Anyway, what was I saying? We were talking about the Oh MacGyver is playing the Scrooge who uh uh is hiding his wealth wealthiness well his gold and the people are trying to burgle his house but can't find it.

SPEAKER_03

No, yeah. Okay. So is the this uh flying rock also part of the burgling?

SPEAKER_00

No, he's just uh he's the detective.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

He's like, okay, well let me help you guys so that everything is fair, okay. The fair E. Fair. Fairy. The fairness fairy. Yeah. He's the fairness fairy.

SPEAKER_02

Uh.

SPEAKER_00

And uh that's just a detail that I forgot to mention because he uh finds Scrooge, MacGyver Scrooge, and is like, what's going on, man? Why aren't you uh sharing your gold? He forgot his line. Yeah. Uh gold. Uh gold. Uh because everyone else is needs some of this gold so that they can buy not money, but food and stuff.

SPEAKER_03

It sounds kind of high to me.

unknown

I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

He's a fairy, magical, fairy bird thing. So he was high, but now he's on the ground.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

So the uh Scrooge MacGyver, MacGyver Scrooge was his name.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Um, he starts fighting with the rock.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

And he's like, mind your own business, I do what I want.

SPEAKER_03

And so it's a verbal fight.

SPEAKER_00

Yes. Yes. Because fairy rock doesn't fight.

SPEAKER_03

No. Uh he doesn't do that anymore. He's not a rest fight. No, that's true. And uh I'm I'm thinking, is he smaller or is he big?

SPEAKER_00

He's uh who?

SPEAKER_03

Fairy rock.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, he's he's normal fairy rock size.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

What does that mean?

unknown

I don't know.

SPEAKER_03

I'm assuming he's the rest of them.

SPEAKER_00

I'm assuming he's like seven feet tall.

SPEAKER_03

Oh yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Because he's really tall, I think.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, I think so.

SPEAKER_00

And uh seven feet wide because of muscles.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, because usually fairies are small.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, but he's not a normal fairy. He's like an eagle.

SPEAKER_03

Oh yeah, that's true.

Why Green And School Pinches

SPEAKER_00

Eagle fairy bird magic guy. And fair fairy. He's a fairness fairy.

SPEAKER_03

Fairness fairy, ego, rock.

SPEAKER_00

He has a lot of labels. Okay. You gotta keep up with me. Yes. Um, okay, so he gets in a verbal fight because he doesn't wrestle anymore. No, exactly. That was even longer ago. Like forever ago. Yeah. He did that. And so the rock starts getting a little annoyed. Like, this is ridiculous. Why are you like this? So he uses his magical powers and shrinks MacGyver Scrooge.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_00

So he's like two feet tall now.

SPEAKER_03

Uh-huh.

SPEAKER_00

And he put a curse on him. So every time he hides his gold, everyone will be able to find it because there's a rainbow coming out of it. Uh-huh. So you follow the rainbow to get to the gold.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

So everything is fair now because people know not to burgle his house. They follow the rainbow.

SPEAKER_03

Uh-huh.

SPEAKER_00

And also there's four leaf clovers.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

That will lead a path to the gold if there's no rainbow, I guess.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, okay. Okay, it makes sense. Yeah. It's not always a rainbow. That's like just after the rain.

SPEAKER_00

Exactly. So, like, there's the rainbow is activated for a certain amount of time and then it fades.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And then there will be four leaflover paths. Because they're

SPEAKER_03

Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_00

You you're lucky if you find the path because they're really hard to find.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, okay, so mm, it's hard to find the path that's leading to something harder to find.

SPEAKER_00

Yes.

SPEAKER_03

Even harder to find. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Wow. And then the people who find finally find the gold get really happy and excited, and then they spend all the gold on beer.

SPEAKER_02

Oh.

SPEAKER_00

And get really drunk. And then I don't know what happened, but the entire village turned into alcoholics and it pretty much burned itself to the ground.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_00

So you won't find it anymore. But the rock eagle bird magic fairy fairness guy flew away after that. He was like, My job is done here. Yeah. And then he went home.

SPEAKER_03

Okay. So he he just left it like that.

Wind Down: What’s Ruining Our Lives

SPEAKER_00

Well, he didn't really check up on them after. No. Because he like was he was like, my job is done here. I did my good deed of the day and he went home. Okay, so people never saw the the aftermath.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, so people are still searching for the gold, or what is that what happens like every year, or why are people celebrating this?

SPEAKER_00

Because it's more of a celebration of justice.

SPEAKER_03

And drinking.

SPEAKER_00

And drinking.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, okay.

SPEAKER_00

To celebrate the good things that the rock did. But I mean, people are more focused on the the short leprechaun guy because he kind of represents the the drinking parts.

SPEAKER_03

But he's the bad guy.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Well, a lot of the times there have been incidences when the bad guys are the ones who are being celebrated in history when they're really bad guys.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, I don't know if you remember the first history lesson when we talked about the the pilgrims.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, yeah, that's nice.

SPEAKER_00

Who ended up being really bad guys, but we're not taught about that in school.

SPEAKER_03

No.

SPEAKER_00

No. We're just we're just taught that, oh, everyone got along and we all ate all this food and it was a good time. We all partied. No one told us that everyone was killing the Indians. No. Uh Amin Amindians.

SPEAKER_03

Am Indians, yes.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Get your I know, I know. My vocabulary is all messed up.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. Um, okay. But so why where yeah. Just why? About this um uh St. Patrick's Day. Uh who's Patrick in Saint Patrick, by the way? Is he the rock or is it?

SPEAKER_00

It was Scrooge MacGyver.

SPEAKER_03

Scrooge. Yeah, okay.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. His name was Patrick.

SPEAKER_03

Okay. That was his first name.

SPEAKER_00

Patrick's actually at at first it was called the Saint and the Patrick. Oh. And the Patrick. Patrick and the Saint. Okay. And the Saint. But um Wait, what? Patrick and the Saint. The Rock is the Saint, and Patrick is the the bad guy.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. And Screw Scookyver.

Closing, Next Week, And Live Mad Libs CTA

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. And you know how time goes, and there's lots of, you know, you gotta you gotta shorten everything, acronyms, and like flip-flopping everything, and everyone gets confused with time. So they ended up just calling it Saint Patrick.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. Otherwise, when trying to write it, it doesn't fit.

SPEAKER_00

It takes like an entire page just to write Saint and the Patrick Day. Oh my god. Patrick and the Saint Day. And this all happened on March 17th.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_00

That's a nice day, isn't it?

SPEAKER_03

Mm-hmm. Is that it? That's it. Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Any more questions?

SPEAKER_03

Yes. Why the green? What's the green about?

SPEAKER_00

The green was the clothes that Patrick got stuck in for the rest of his life as a leprechaun.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_00

Also the clovers.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, yeah, that makes sense. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

He wasn't allowed to change clothes. Uh. He was cursed. Yeah. It was a terrible curse.

SPEAKER_03

I bet n nothing else fit him, anyways.

SPEAKER_00

No, exactly. And part of the curse was that he was stuck with this terribly thick Irish accent.

SPEAKER_03

Ah.

SPEAKER_00

Because this all took place in Ireland.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, oh yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Like right on the border between Ireland and Scotland, where like there's there's no understanding anything.

SPEAKER_03

Ah, there.

SPEAKER_00

Wherever that is, that's where it happened.

SPEAKER_03

Oh yeah, there.

SPEAKER_00

Right there. Yeah, if you look on the map, it's right there.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, that's the map outside that we saw outside here.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, it was right there. That's where it happened.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, that's the treasure.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, yeah. The treasure map.

SPEAKER_03

Mmm. Now I get it. So the 17th, you're going to find the treasure.

SPEAKER_00

Right.

SPEAKER_03

Okay. So yeah, uh, the thing is, uh, do you celebrate this?

SPEAKER_00

Well, I'm not really sure exactly how you're supposed to celebrate, other than having an excuse to uh get drunk.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, and wear green, I guess.

SPEAKER_00

That's all I really try to do is try to wear something green because I heard that it was supposed to be good luck. And if you don't, and this was a big deal in school, okay? If you didn't wear it green on St. Patrick's Day, then someone's gonna end up pinching you.

SPEAKER_02

Oh.

SPEAKER_00

And someone always pinched me because I always forgot that it was St. Patrick's Day.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

And then like I had to really double check all of my clothes. Like, no, I'm wearing green underwear.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_00

My socks are green.

SPEAKER_03

You never showed your underwear.

SPEAKER_00

No, I wasn't that brave at the time. I will today. Oh, if I'm wearing green underwear, I'll be like, look.

SPEAKER_03

Have a look see.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yeah. Well, and now I'm always wearing green because I have green on my tattoo. Yeah, that's true. Bam.

SPEAKER_03

I am a fixed that.

SPEAKER_00

I am secured for life. No one's pinching me now. That's pretty much what you do. And lucky charms are good.

SPEAKER_03

So uh what's so random.

SPEAKER_00

I like lucky charms.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, that's uh how how come uh it it uh became a cereal?

SPEAKER_00

Because I I don't know, someone was trying to make money off of the money.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, okay, makes sense. But uh you're not you're allowed to eat that year round, right?

SPEAKER_00

Not just yeah, or you're you're uh the they want you to eat it year round. It's not good for you. No, it's not I I wouldn't recommend it.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, okay. Really not good for it. Could it be like a tr you think uh do you don't have like a tradition to eat that uh the 17th month?

SPEAKER_00

No, but it should be.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I'm not against it. No, but I don't want the whole box. I just want I want small boxes so that I don't go crazy because I will.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

It's so good. I mean, if the whole family maybe you don't have to eat so much.

SPEAKER_00

Maybe.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

I don't know. Are you part of the family?

SPEAKER_03

Sometimes. Sometimes I don't really know.

SPEAKER_00

Sometimes you're my brother, apparently.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. You you never know.

SPEAKER_00

No, depends on who you're asking, I think. That's all I have.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, I don't have more questions, so all right.

SPEAKER_00

Then should we um wrap this up? Yeah, are you all out of sips?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, I'm all out of sips.

SPEAKER_00

All right, and that so am I. Sorry.

SPEAKER_03

So sorry, shush, so am I uh okay, uh and that means we're all we're a whore now. We're all whores here.

SPEAKER_02

We're all whores here.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

No, that means we're all out of episode.

SPEAKER_00

I didn't realize that finishing my beverage made me a whore. Okay.

SPEAKER_03

You emptied that thing?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah oh yes, I did. Too far. Okay. What was it? What was what was the line?

SPEAKER_03

Which one?

SPEAKER_00

We're all out of it. Sips.

SPEAKER_03

We're all out of sips. That means we're all out of episode.

SPEAKER_00

All right. Well, as we wrap up this episode, please tell me uh what is ruining your life.

SPEAKER_03

My back, my foot, um my back.

SPEAKER_00

Here's a list.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, no, uh uh a back and a foot.

SPEAKER_00

A back and a foot. Okay. Pick one. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

And still cough. And I mean, when I'm coughing, I can feel my back. It's so annoying. Oh like Yeah. I get it. What's ruining your life?

SPEAKER_00

Stress and slow emails. Email conversations can be very slow. And I am not someone who likes slow things. I like things that go fast.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

So, yeah, if certain things could move a little bit faster, that would be great.

SPEAKER_03

Very good.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. I like everything to be done now. Yeah. As soon as possible.

SPEAKER_03

As now as possible.

SPEAKER_00

I'm a I'm a doing person. You know, I like to do things. I like to get things done. I'm a done person, is what I meant. I don't like the process, I like being done.

SPEAKER_03

Okay. Do you feel like you're done?

SPEAKER_00

I'm done.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Are you done?

SPEAKER_03

Uh yes.

SPEAKER_00

I'm content. I'm content.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. That could be a title.

SPEAKER_00

Oh my goodness. Alright. Well, uh, thank you for listening to the episode. I hope you enjoyed it. I hope you learned something. Did we learn anything?

SPEAKER_03

Nothing.

SPEAKER_00

Nothing at all. I learned that um MacGyver and The Rock were in history together.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. And and I learned uh names like Patrick.

SPEAKER_00

Never heard that one before.

SPEAKER_03

That's a name? What?

SPEAKER_00

Alright, well, we'll be back next Tuesday with another episode. Hopefully it'll be just as good or better.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. We don't set the bar too high here.

SPEAKER_00

No, I mean manageable is enough.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I think. If it's if it's okay, then I'm I'm good with that.

SPEAKER_03

Yep.

SPEAKER_00

I'm satisfied. Yeah, I covered that and I covered that and we'll we'll say goodbye then.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

If you have nothing else to say.

SPEAKER_03

I I have a question though.

SPEAKER_00

Now you saved your question for the very end.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. Now when are we uh gonna have the uh live mad libs again?

SPEAKER_00

I don't know.

SPEAKER_03

No, no one knows.

SPEAKER_00

We haven't talked about it.

SPEAKER_03

No, not for real.

SPEAKER_00

No. I need I need to make a phone call before we do anything.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

So if you're listening to this and you have contact with me, then uh you should know that we need to have a phone call soon.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Because I haven't talked to this person since the last time I saw them. And uh I realize that's not good.

SPEAKER_03

No.

SPEAKER_00

And so I I would like to fix that.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, we need to fix that.

SPEAKER_00

So call me.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.
