SPEAKER_06Like, I've never been here. I haven't either. It's my first day.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_06We're all lost.
SPEAKER_03What wait a minute. Did you go up on stage showing the card?
SPEAKER_05Like, I'm a student. He's like, good job. It was like Wayne's World with a VIP pass. Yeah. Just shove it in everyone's face. I'm a student. Aren't you too old to be a student? Studium. Studium? Studium, maybe. Yeah. Alright, should we maybe start?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, we can do that. Okay.
SPEAKER_05It's time to open up.
SPEAKER_02Let's open this thing up.
SPEAKER_05That was like perfect.
SPEAKER_02Synchronized.
SPEAKER_05Chairs.
SPEAKER_02Chairs.
SPEAKER_05I haven't seen you all week.
SPEAKER_02I know.
SPEAKER_05Have I? I went to your house, but I didn't see you.
SPEAKER_02I know. I didn't even know you did. So if you had told me, I would.
SPEAKER_05Why is it that you don't just like stand in your bedroom and stare out your window the whole time? Like riff raps.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, okay. Is that Lauren?
SPEAKER_05Is that Lauren? Is that Lauren? There's a car coming. Is that Lauren?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, like a dog.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. Just like waiting for me.
SPEAKER_06When I see you, I'm like, Mom's like, what are you even doing up there? I'm waiting for Lauren. Is she coming? No. No, yeah.
SPEAKER_03No. She comes uh in two days, but uh I'll be waiting.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. You never know.
unknownNo.
SPEAKER_05Hello and welcome to Roasty Toasty Go Team. My name is Lauren.
SPEAKER_02And my name is Matias.
SPEAKER_05My name is Lauren.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Did you did you say my name Lauren?
SPEAKER_05No. I was like, my name is Lauren. Oh, okay. Like I you might have thought otherwise, but it actually is Lauren.
SPEAKER_02Okay, that's cool. Yeah. And my name is Matthias.
SPEAKER_05That's right. Unless.
SPEAKER_02Unless you want to call me Matthews.
SPEAKER_05Math Matthews.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Morpheus.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Or Matt.
SPEAKER_05Matt. My name's Matt.
SPEAKER_02Like your grandma called me. She also called me Maddie. When we went to the place I had the shrimps, we sat at different tables.
SPEAKER_05Oh, yeah. Okay, okay, okay.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_02Then I um didn't hear her at first because she wanted to ask me what I thought about the food. And then she's like, Maddie! Maddie!
SPEAKER_06Like screaming at you.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, then I'm like, oh, it's me.
SPEAKER_06She's talking to me.
Weekend In Stockholm And Gymnastics Course
SPEAKER_05It's really important to know your opinion on the food. Yeah. So much so that we are going to scream for your attention. Yes. So Matias. How are you doing?
SPEAKER_02Uh I'm doing well. Cool. Yeah? How are you doing?
SPEAKER_05I'm good. Good. I'm better.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_05We're all good now.
SPEAKER_02Were you worse?
SPEAKER_05I was. And before that I was even worse, but now I'm better.
SPEAKER_02Okay. How worse were you?
SPEAKER_05I was I had a cold.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_05Not or no, I had allergies. Yeah. And then I still kinda had allergies, and now I'm good.
SPEAKER_02I have trouble with stuffy nose during nights. Oh. Night nose. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05You have a case of the night nose. Night nose.
SPEAKER_02Night nose.
SPEAKER_05Night nose. Night nose.
SPEAKER_03Night nine nose. Yeah, I have to say goodnight to all my body parts.
SPEAKER_05Oh my god. That's a little weird.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, no.
SPEAKER_05You really need to get a job.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I do.
SPEAKER_05Way too much time on your hands.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. So I also feel like I have like scabs inside my nose. Yep. You probably do. Yeah, I don't like it.
SPEAKER_05No. I have a scab on my scalp. That's all.
SPEAKER_02Cool story.
SPEAKER_05Thank you. It's just really annoying.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I know. I have scabs on my head. I have a head and it's really annoying. Yeah, it's so annoying.
SPEAKER_05My whole head is just one big scab, and I just like to rip it off sometimes.
SPEAKER_02And I just can't stop picking at it.
SPEAKER_03Oh, there goes my head again. The whole thing. Yeah. Mom.
SPEAKER_06I need a band-aid.
SPEAKER_03Lost my head again.
SPEAKER_05Right.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_05We were saying something.
SPEAKER_02Oh yeah. How are you?
SPEAKER_05Welcome.
SPEAKER_02Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_05I'm good. I'm better.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I'm also good.
SPEAKER_05We're gonna be your besties for the next hour or so. Also, this is the podcast in which you will learn nothing at all. Yeah. And I got that out of the way. Yeah. So I think we can talk now.
SPEAKER_02Now we can talk.
SPEAKER_05I'm gonna tell you about my weekend.
SPEAKER_02Okay, cool.
SPEAKER_05Because it was a really fun weekend. It was so busy that you had to edit last week's episode.
SPEAKER_04Yes.
SPEAKER_05Anyway, anyway, anyway. Last weekend I went to Stockholm and I went to a course through gymnastics and I learned how to dance.
SPEAKER_04Wow.
SPEAKER_05And it was really fun. And I stayed the night in Stockholm because it was a two-day course. So yeah, I spent the night in a hotel and it was like a fancy hotel and it was really nice. And I had a bathtub, so I took bath.
SPEAKER_02Okay, cool.
SPEAKER_05I took a bath. I took bath.
SPEAKER_02Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_05Me took bath.
SPEAKER_02Okay, cool. Bath. A bath I took.
SPEAKER_05Yes. I took a bath and the bath I took, I took it with me. I brought it home.
SPEAKER_03You're like, bye.
SPEAKER_05Just taking the tub.
SPEAKER_03Take the tub with you.
SPEAKER_05It's so nice I took it with me. I had to steal it. No, I took a bath and then I started watching Melody Festivalen. Because it was the finale.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Why are words difficult? Finale.
SPEAKER_02Finally.
SPEAKER_05The finally. Yeah. It was the finally because I was ready for it to be over.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. So me telling you who won and everything, it wasn't really necessary or it was necessary because I only watched the first three. Ah, okay.
SPEAKER_05And then I decided I was gonna go to the comedy club that was in my hotel and watch some comedians tell some jokes, and it was really fun. And I fought myself for like an hour before if I was even gonna go or not. But I I decided I'm gonna go, otherwise I'm gonna regret not going. I had to.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_05And so I went and it was fun. And then I went to bed. And then the next day I went back to my course and then I came home. I finished my course and I passed.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_05I got my certificate that says that I can kinda dance. And it says we hereby certify Lauren. She kinda can dance.
SPEAKER_02Okay. Was it like a post-it note or something?
SPEAKER_05No. No. No, it was a PDF.
SPEAKER_02Oh. Okay. Okay. Yes.
SPEAKER_05Not even a sticky note.
SPEAKER_02No.
SPEAKER_05So yeah, that was my weekend and it was really fun. And I worked on Monday and Tuesday.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_05And then on Wednesday, I got to stay home and I had to study for my final. That was today. Okay. So I did that Wednesday and Thursday. Yes. That's what I did. Okay. I worked and I studied.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_05I've been learning things. Oh, cool. And I did do my written part of my final today. And I was so stressed out. But it went well. It only took me a couple hours, I think. We were given four hours. And I got out like, yeah, two and a half hours. And you're here now.
SPEAKER_02I'm here. I haven't done much. I'm still home searching for jobs and stuff like that.
SPEAKER_05Alright. Well, today is Friday. It's March 13th.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, Friday the 13th. Again.
SPEAKER_05Again. Second month in a row.
Friday The 13th Funeral Reflections
SPEAKER_02I went to funeral today.
SPEAKER_05You did? On Friday the 13th.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Again.
SPEAKER_05Is that bad luck?
SPEAKER_02I don't know, but I'd done it before.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Three years ago on your birthday. That's right.
SPEAKER_05How'd it go?
SPEAKER_02It went well. We got sandwich cake afterwards. And the funeral went well. It uh was my uncle whom I haven't seen for like 20 years or so. I always wanted to see him again, but then like the last years I I heard that he had like dementia and wasn't responsive at all. I didn't really want to experience that.
Grudge Match Review And Favorite Moments
SPEAKER_05Yeah, no. I get it.
SPEAKER_02What else did we do?
SPEAKER_05We watched movies.
SPEAKER_02We did?
SPEAKER_05Yes. Would you like to movie on?
SPEAKER_02Let's move on.
SPEAKER_05So tonight we watched was it called Grudgment Day?
SPEAKER_02Uh Grudge Match.
SPEAKER_05Grudge Match and Punch Drunk Love.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_04Okay.
SPEAKER_05Okay. Deep breaths. We're getting into this.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_05So it was interesting.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Anyway, I'm gonna tell you about Grudge Match.
SPEAKER_04Yes.
SPEAKER_05This is a movie with Stallone and Robert De Niro.
SPEAKER_04Yes.
SPEAKER_05And um Stallone missed being Rocky. So him and Robert De Niro. De Niro. Him and Robert De Niro are former boxers who uh used to box each other back in the day, and they're coming back for one final match.
SPEAKER_07Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. So that was fun.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Um, what did you think about the movie?
SPEAKER_02Uh I I think it's an interesting movie. It's a comedy, uh boxing comedy. It's okay. Some parts are funny, some are less funny, but I think it's kind of fun the fact that both of these actors had done iconic boxing movies before.
SPEAKER_05Like what did Robert Dero do?
SPEAKER_02He uh did a movie called Raging Bull.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_02And Rocky, of course, for Stallone. So I mean that's kind of fun to see that they go up against each other. Yeah. You know, like that. I think that's like the whole purpose of this movie. And it's a fun concept that way. I have to say that I kinda like it. What did you think?
SPEAKER_05I really liked it. Oh. I enjoyed this movie a lot.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. Good. D do you wanna do you wanna I was trying to think if there was something else I wanted to say about it, but I was also trying to remember what else happened in this movie.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Kevin Hart is in this movie.
SPEAKER_05Oh yeah, he is. And he's funny.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Oh yeah. There's like this lady who uh was in between them, I guess. Yeah, no, I I really like this movie.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Good.
SPEAKER_05It was good, it was funny, and I enjoyed it.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_05I really like the movies where people come back. Yeah. Especially in that kind of like fun way. So yeah. Yeah. That that's what I have to say about that. Cool. Do you have anything else?
SPEAKER_02No, not really.
SPEAKER_05Are you sure?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I think so. Okay. Or am I forgetting something?
SPEAKER_05I hope you are.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_05Otherwise, we have to move on.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Maybe we should just to get it over with.
SPEAKER_05To the next movie.
Punch Drunk Love And Why It Fails
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Punch Drunk Love. This is a movie starring Adam Sander. He finds a piano-ish. What what was about that car crash in the beginning?
SPEAKER_05Because that never It was so random and no one cared about it.
SPEAKER_02No.
SPEAKER_05It was the piano. Yeah that was the big deal. It just like randomly dropped the piano.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Nicely. And there was nothing even in it. I thought there was money or something in it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. And uh then uh there's a girl leaving a car there uh at the his job uh where he works. And uh Yeah.
SPEAKER_06You know, his job where he works.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Makes sense now. I explained the movie for you.
SPEAKER_06Good job. He has a job and he works there.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. And then he calls uh sex line and then he is he what is it called? Blackmailed or no, not really. Scammed scammed. Definitely. Yeah. Yeah. By this call. That kind of spirals the whole story, and he gets people after him, and he meets this girl. It's the girl with the car, right?
SPEAKER_05Yeah, it's the same girl.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. They fall in love and he's weird and there's a lot of small other things that are going on. Yeah, I don't really know what else to say. That's what a movie is about. It's about the call.
SPEAKER_05Pretty much.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, a piano and the call. So what do you think about this movie?
SPEAKER_05I felt really uncomfortable the whole time, honestly.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_05It was the background music mostly. Yeah. It was distracting and it had an off-feeling the whole time. And it his like antics were really weird, and I wasn't really sure how to pinpoint exactly what was going on with him or what was wrong with him, and that they never said anything. No. But then again, this was early 2000s, right?
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_05And they didn't talk much about these things then.
SPEAKER_04No.
SPEAKER_05It wasn't such a big deal. We didn't label the mental issues.
SPEAKER_04No.
SPEAKER_05Like the OCD and autism and stuff like that.
SPEAKER_04No.
SPEAKER_05It was all bad at the time. Yeah. So he's just like pictured as this big weirdo.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. I was so disappointed because I was like waiting for the funny stuff to happen and never really did. I mean, some things were mildly, mildly funny. But yeah, I don't know.
SPEAKER_05I've heard about this movie before. Yeah. But I'm not really sure now what was mentioned about it.
SPEAKER_02No, I never seen it.
SPEAKER_05No, me neither.
SPEAKER_02No. I watch YouTube and like people said that someone was asked, what's the best Adam Sandler movie? And they said Punch Drunk Love. And I'm like, okay, I guess. And now when we were watching his movies, I'm like, okay, I guess we we're gonna watch this one.
SPEAKER_05Sure. If it's the best ever.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and I don't agree at all.
SPEAKER_05No, me neither.
SPEAKER_02I guess this is supposed to be like an artsy movie.
SPEAKER_05I can see them. Yeah. It was messy though.
SPEAKER_02I don't understand artsy movies.
SPEAKER_05I'm not I'm not sure how many I've seen.
SPEAKER_02No. But I mean the director to this movie, Paul Thomas Anderson, he's one of those who makes like uh Oscars nominated movies. I think he's even Oscars nominated right now for a movie. And uh some movie. Yeah. And I've heard good things about that, and I'm kind of interested in watching that one, but I don't know.
SPEAKER_05When is the Oscars?
SPEAKER_02I think it's on Sunday. Oh. Yeah, so I I I'm sorry, but I I didn't enjoy this movie at all.
SPEAKER_05Sorry, Adam Sandler.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, you can do better than this movie. He's done better.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_05Like all the other movies have been better.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, even the like stupidest movie ever made.
SPEAKER_05This might be bottom.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, actually. And some people say that this is the best one.
SPEAKER_05I'm sorry. I'm not going for it.
SPEAKER_02No.
SPEAKER_05Anything else?
SPEAKER_02No.
SPEAKER_05Can we stop talking about it now?
SPEAKER_02I think so. Cool. This is history now.
SPEAKER_05It's history. Yeah. We're gonna tell a history lesson about this someday.
SPEAKER_02I'd rather not.
Oscars Chat And Hosting Hype
SPEAKER_05Alright. That's not then. We're gonna take a break. Yeah. I decided.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, let's do that. We're gonna We need it.

SPEAKER_05Yeah, but like when? What time does it usually start?
SPEAKER_02Maybe uh it starts with like the red carpet at 11 or something. Uh-huh. Okay. I'm excited that uh Conan and Brian is doing it this year again.
SPEAKER_05Okay, yeah.
SPEAKER_02I like him. You know that. But uh he's funny. He's really funny. And uh Okay, what what what is that? You don't like him?

SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_06I'm still trying to think of what I see. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Yep. Mm-hmm. Yeah. And then yeah. Okay. If you say so. Uh-huh. Yaw ha. Okay.

SPEAKER_05Let's go through them all.
SPEAKER_02I mean, we have gone through a few of them.
SPEAKER_05We've gone through a yeah, quite a few.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. And I have to say that this is the the category I'm the least comfortable with of the three.
SPEAKER_07Good, good, good.
SPEAKER_02Cool if they had like the action movie awards.
SPEAKER_05I don't think they've started that yet.
SPEAKER_02No, they should. Then I would be glued to that. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_03You you're still thinking?
SPEAKER_05I might be.
SPEAKER_03Okay, you're you're gonna- I'm waiting for it to just hit me. You're not gonna let this go.

SPEAKER_05How many cards are we doing per person?
SPEAKER_02Uh it's two questions a card, right?
SPEAKER_05Yes. There's a hundred questions.
SPEAKER_02Okay. Should we do like ten?
SPEAKER_05That means there's like fifty cards.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. I don't know.
SPEAKER_05How much do you want to edit?
SPEAKER_02Not that much, but so like twenty. Twenty.
SPEAKER_05Each.
SPEAKER_02Twenty cards?
SPEAKER_05That's most of them.
SPEAKER_02Twenty cards?
SPEAKER_05Twenty-five.

SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_05Not like bad as in the movies bad, but yeah, sad was the word.
SPEAKER_02Okay. What else did he do?
SPEAKER_05So it wasn't Holocaust.
SPEAKER_02No. But I think it's in private drain?
SPEAKER_05No. No. But I think it took place in the States.
SPEAKER_02Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_05I think.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_05I saw it once a long time ago.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_05That that's a hint.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Maybe not.
SPEAKER_02A sad Spielberg movie.
SPEAKER_05I don't remember if it was sad, but it's a heavy subject.
SPEAKER_02Did he do the collar purple?
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Is that the one? That's him. Okay. Yeah. It's a heavy subject.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. That's like slavery and stuff, right?
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_02And Oprah. Yeah. Oprah.
