Birthday Cold Open And Chaos
SPEAKER_04Don't ruin my birthday.
SPEAKER_05No, it's not your birthday. No. Not for an hour and ten minutes or eleven minutes.
SPEAKER_04So I'm celebrating today.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_04Because it's my birthday episode.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_04So I'm celebrating now.
SPEAKER_05Now.
SPEAKER_04Now. And go.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, okay. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday, dear Lauren. Happy birthday to you.
SPEAKER_04Thank you.
SPEAKER_05You're welcome.
SPEAKER_04Would you like to open this up?
SPEAKER_05We can open this up if you want to.
SPEAKER_04I was asking if you wanted to.
SPEAKER_05You're asking how or who? We should do one episode like that.
SPEAKER_02Just like this.
SPEAKER_05That's that's the last one.
SPEAKER_02Okay. Huh?
SPEAKER_05Yeah. I talk like a normal person and you do that.
SPEAKER_02It's my birthday.
SPEAKER_05Happy birthday.
SPEAKER_02Number. Num num.
SPEAKER_05Your hip is nom nom nom nom nom. Your hip.
SPEAKER_02I can only laugh with my mouth closed. Yes.
SPEAKER_05So your hip is nom nom.
SPEAKER_04My name is numnom.
SPEAKER_05Oh, numnom. Num num. No, your name is Semla. Yep.
SPEAKER_04Thank you.
SPEAKER_05You're welcome.
SPEAKER_04My name is Lauren.
SPEAKER_05Yes. Did you say hello and welcome to I did. Okay, cool.
SPEAKER_04Didn't you hear me?
SPEAKER_05Oh, you did the ha ha ha ha.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Ah. Okay. Ah. And I'm Matthias.
SPEAKER_04What?
SPEAKER_05And I'm Matthias.
SPEAKER_04And it's my birthday. No, it's not. Tomorrow's my birthday. Yeah. It's my birthday episode. So this is the uh podcast in which we talk about me. Yeah. And that's it. So if you joined this episode to listen thinking we would talk about someone else, you're wrong. No, that's not happening. Legally. We're not talking about Matias today, we're talking about me.
SPEAKER_05Just you.
SPEAKER_04Just me.
SPEAKER_05Maybe.
SPEAKER_04Oh.
SPEAKER_05Well, it depends on uh on open eyes, I guess.
SPEAKER_04Okay. We might talk about you today.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, they kind of want to talk about me for some reason.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, but I'm the main focus of today.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_04It's my birthday. But it's not.
SPEAKER_05No, it's not yet.
SPEAKER_04Tomorrow's my birthday. Yes. I will be gone all weekend.
SPEAKER_05Yes, you will.
SPEAKER_04I'm gonna be on a boat.
SPEAKER_05On a boat.
SPEAKER_04Boat in a way.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_04To another land. You're gonna row, row, row, my boat to Finland. And then back.
SPEAKER_05Hi, Finland.
SPEAKER_04And then just Oh, there it is. And then turn around and go back.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. Touched it. Yep. Row row row. Row home again.
SPEAKER_04I can say that I have been to Finland and I'm gonna come back.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Okay. How are you doing?
SPEAKER_05I am doing well. Cool. Yeah, I'm good. How are you?
SPEAKER_04I'm good. I I feel it in my throat a little bit, but I also felt that a couple days ago too.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_04It feels like allergies, but it's like been hanging there.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_04Like nothing's really happening, but it's it's just hanging in the back of my throat. So if I'm making more noises than usual, which I mean, I don't know, I usually make a lot of noises anyway. Then that's why.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_04But I'm okay right now. Yeah, okay, good. Until I have a really big sneeze and then everything's gonna explode. Everything. Like I turn into C4. Oh with that one sneeze. Oh brains everywhere.
SPEAKER_05Oh. Okay.
SPEAKER_04Okay.
Weekly Highlights And Pollen Hill
SPEAKER_04Tell me your highlights from the past week.
SPEAKER_05What?
SPEAKER_04You you don't want to say? Why don't you want to tell me?
SPEAKER_05This episode is not about me.
SPEAKER_04Alright, I'm gonna tell you about my highlights from the past week.
SPEAKER_05Please do.
SPEAKER_04I have been like dead.
SPEAKER_05Oh no.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. What happened? I I don't know. I've been really tired and unmotivated to do anything. So I've been laying on the couch most of the time, playing on my phone. I don't know. I like know there's things to do, but I don't really want to. Also, I've been eating a lot. So my stomach's been hurting too.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_04But the kids did have their last day of school yesterday.
SPEAKER_05Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_04And I went, and the reason why my throat is bothering me is because the church that the kids walked to on the last day of school is up on a hill. And on this hill, there is a tree. And this tree is like spitting puffballs at everyone.
SPEAKER_05Ah, spitting.
SPEAKER_04Spitting tree.
SPEAKER_05Uh.
SPEAKER_04With puffballs of pollen. And I don't respond great to pollen. So I'm like standing up there. I'm like, oh no. Oh no. This isn't gonna end very well for me.
SPEAKER_05No.
SPEAKER_04And I could already feel it while I was standing up there. I was like, um, yeah, my throat hurts a little bit. So I feel like tomorrow I'm not gonna be okay. I'm okay right now.
SPEAKER_05You are. That's good.
SPEAKER_04For now.
SPEAKER_05You were wrong.
SPEAKER_04I was wrong. But um I have a child in each uh I don't know, level of school. You've got like the elementary, the middle, and then the high school.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_04I've got one kid in each. So I had to sit up on that hill from pretty much eight in the morning to eleven thirty, twelve-ish. You know, three, four, five hours up on that hill. Uh just breathing in this pollen.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. But I guess that's what you get for being so slow with each kid, you know.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. I should have been faster.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Maybe. I don't know. Oh, I don't know.
SPEAKER_05I'm kidding.
SPEAKER_04They were the ones who take forever to get out. So, yeah, it's not my fault. I tried, and then they had to like grow and stuff, and then take weeks just to get out.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_04So yeah, that was that was my week. That was it.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_04But yesterday I also went to work. Yeah. So you went with me.
SPEAKER_05I followed you.
SPEAKER_04You followed me to work.
SPEAKER_05And then I went to to the cinemas.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. And you watched a movie.
SPEAKER_05I did. Disclosure day. The new Steven Spielberg movie. I liked it.
SPEAKER_04Good. Are you also part alien now? Yeah, I think so. Did you learn their language while you watch a movie?
SPEAKER_05Like that. That's weird. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04You don't have to do that again. No.
SPEAKER_05No, no one else understands it, so.
SPEAKER_04No, I don't get it. So don't do it.
SPEAKER_05No.
SPEAKER_04Alright. And then today is Friday. And my life partner made me a cake.
SPEAKER_03Yes.
SPEAKER_04That we could have today because we're gonna be gone all weekend on a boat. Yeah. Like I said.
SPEAKER_05So I also had the cake.
SPEAKER_04You also had some of the cake. I like it a lot.
SPEAKER_05It's peanut butter.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, you don't like peanut butter.
SPEAKER_05I'm not the biggest fan, but it was a good cake.
SPEAKER_04At least you didn't say this is disgusting. I hate peanut butter.
SPEAKER_05No.
SPEAKER_04No. Okay. It was a chocolate cake with peanut butter ice cream on top. It was all homemade and then Reese's pieces on top.
SPEAKER_05Mm-hmm. I bought them.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Found them at the store.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_04And I like the cake a lot.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. I mean I like it too. Now I know what um to expect from peanut butter. First time I didn't, and that's why I got disappointed. Since I was expecting more uh, you know, sweets. I thought it would be sweeter, but it wasn't.
SPEAKER_04Oh, okay. Maybe I'll bring you some peanut butter from the States.
SPEAKER_05Is it sweet?
SPEAKER_04Everything has sugar in it.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_04So yeah. Maybe. We'll see. That was today. That's what happened today.
SPEAKER_05Yes.
SPEAKER_04Right?
SPEAKER_05Cake was today.
SPEAKER_04Cake was today. Oh, I uh had the intention of starting to pack for the boat trip today. Okay. And instead I didn't emptied out my entire closet, rearranged everything, rebuilt the entire system and the kids' closet, um, put everything back.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_04And then I found the dress I was looking for.
SPEAKER_05Okay. And you put the clothes back too?
SPEAKER_04I put the dress back. Everything. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05You never packed anything? No. No. Okay.
SPEAKER_04Cool. Yeah. No, I I I did take the dress out and I put it in the bag.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_04But I thought that was kind of funny. It was like procrastination at its very, very best. But I mean, yeah, procrastination, but also uh kind of uh It's something that I've been meaning to do for a while now because my closet is a ginormous mess. I don't need the majority of the contents of my closet because I have a closet and a dresser and they're both overflowing. And I have one box that's outside of this dresser and closet of clothes that I actually wear. And everything else is just extra, just in case I want something different.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. When I'm thinking procrastination, I'm I'm thinking more like slacking.
SPEAKER_04Oh, yeah. That was the rest of my week. Yeah. Thinking about my closet needs to be done.
SPEAKER_05That sounded way too productive to be procrastinating.
SPEAKER_04It was yeah, yeah. It was a little bit of bold.
SPEAKER_05Okay, yeah.
SPEAKER_04It was, but it wasn't. It was procrastination and productiveness.
SPEAKER_05Productination.
SPEAKER_04Productination. Ah. You came up with a word.
SPEAKER_05We're good at this.
SPEAKER_04And you're procrastinating by uh doing something productive at the same time. It's not exactly what you meant to do, but it was also something good. Yeah. Cool. Yeah. On a roll today. Yeah. It is Friday. It's June 12th, 2026. So tomorrow's my birthday. It is. I'm gonna be 33. You know what? My kids said that I was gonna turn 41.
SPEAKER_05Why?
SPEAKER_04Because everyone else is 40. Oh, okay. I must also be 40. You passed me. I guess so. I didn't mean to. But I I guess that's that's how it is.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, I guess that's I wonder what women age. Sorry, sorry.
SPEAKER_04I wonder what sick child would say if I asked him how old I'm turning.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_04I wonder what he would come up with. Wake him up. Yeah, I have to Sick Child, wake up. How old is mommy? Leave me alone. Forty-two. Stop that! Shut up. Go back to sleep. Um, right, we watched movies
Demolition Man Future Shock Review
SPEAKER_04today.
SPEAKER_05We did.
SPEAKER_04Would you like to move on?
SPEAKER_05Yeah, let's move on.
SPEAKER_04Oh yeah, I the movion.
SPEAKER_05Movie on.
SPEAKER_04Okay. Today we watched two movies. Yes.
SPEAKER_05Like we didn't.
SPEAKER_04Whoa.
SPEAKER_05Somewhere fell.
SPEAKER_04Right. On your side, we watched Destruction Man. No. Deformed Man. Dif Deforming Destruction Man.
SPEAKER_05Demo.
SPEAKER_04Demolition Man. Yes. It sounds like a wrestler. Is that a wrestler? Uh I don't know. Alright, well, we also watched on my side Demolition Man. Again. We watched the same movie twice, I think. No, it was The Ridiculous Six.
SPEAKER_05Yes.
SPEAKER_04I'm gonna tell you about Demolition Man. Yeah. Right. Right. Right. This is a movie with Stallone.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Yep. He uh gets frozen in carbonite by Darth Vader for 36 years. And then they wake him up and they're like, beat up this bad guy. He's like, okay. But he's in the future now. It's 2036.
SPEAKER_0532.
SPEAKER_04Right. Yeah, that's what I meant. 32. 20 what? Wait, what?
SPEAKER_052032.
SPEAKER_042032. Right. That's that's what I meant. Um, and everything is different and definitely not what it used to be. No. At all whatsoever. And so he has to get used to that, kind of. I mean, he disregards everything and beats up the bad guys.
SPEAKER_05Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Yeah. That's it, pretty much, I think.
SPEAKER_05Pretty much. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04What did you think about the movie?
SPEAKER_05I think it's a what?
SPEAKER_02No. I just I thought you were gonna say, I think it sucks.
SPEAKER_05No. It's a great movie. I I love this one. It's um uh it's it's an action comedy. It's funny, it has action, it has Wesley Snipes as a as the bad guy, Sunderbullock, uh other people too. Jack Black.
SPEAKER_04Jack Black was there for a good uh five seconds.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Total. And if you didn't know it was him or that he was in the movie, you would have missed him.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_04There was so much that would have just missed.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. No, yeah, I I really like this one. It's a really good movie, in my opinion. What did you think about this movie?
SPEAKER_04I did like this movie. It was good, it was interesting, and it was kind of funny. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Rob Schneider.
SPEAKER_04Rob Schneider was there for also a good solid five seconds. Yeah. But I think he had lines, yeah. At least. Jack Black did not. He was a tiny little baby in the background.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. Rob Schneider said, uh, we're police officers. We're not we're not trained for violence or something like that.
SPEAKER_04That was funny. And uh they did have open eyes, pretty much, their own version, and uh self-driving cars, and there were a lot of things that were illegal.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Anything that's bad for you is illegal, yeah. Which is how it should be.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, swearing g gives you a ticket or allow yeah.
SPEAKER_04That was funny. And you can't touch anyone. No. And enhance your calm.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Also, they mentioned an earthquake in 2010. Hey Google. Was there a big earthquake in 2010? Did you hear me? 2010 had two significant earthquakes. Haiti.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_04I was right. In January 12th, uh, a devastating magnitude 7.0 earthquake struck near Porto Prince. Porto Prince. Porto Potty.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_04Causing massive destruction and an estimated 160,000 to over 220,000 fatalities. Also in Chile, Chile.
SPEAKER_05Chile.
SPEAKER_04February 27th, a massive magnitude 8.8 earthquake hit offshore near Mauli.
SPEAKER_02Maul? Okay.
SPEAKER_04Darthmall. Right next to Darthmall, triggering a widespread tsunami. It ranks as one of the strongest earthquakes ever recorded. So Stallone's family died in one of those earthquakes.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, but it sounded like it was uh in Los Angeles though.
SPEAKER_04The Haiti is south of the states. Yeah. So it must have been affected somehow. But this movie released in 93. Yeah. But took place at first in 96. Yeah. And then 2032. Right.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. A lot happened in three years between 93 and 96. Everything was on fire and Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Crazy.
SPEAKER_05Um then even more happened uh af uh in uh 32.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05I also like the the music style in in the future.
SPEAKER_04Oh yeah. The oldies are just like uh jingles from commercials and advertisements, yeah. Which is really funny. And there was the Pizza
Taco Bell Dub And Movie Trivia
SPEAKER_04Hut thing.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Tell me about that.
SPEAKER_05Uh okay, so in the States, um this movie uh they they had uh like um uh a fancy dinner at a Taco Bell.
SPEAKER_04Very fancy.
SPEAKER_05Very fancy. Because that was like the only franchise that survived. Uh but uh since uh it's not as known, uh Taco Bell is not as known outside the States, they changed it to Pizza Hut in like Europe and uh yeah, most of the places outside the States. So w when we had the that cut, because they said Pizza Hut, but if you read their lips, it said Taco Bell.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Did you notice that?
SPEAKER_04I mean I didn't at first.
SPEAKER_05No.
SPEAKER_04But I thought you were just like laughing because oh Pizza Hut. Yeah. But then you told me that they were actually saying Taco Bell.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Then I was trying to see it.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_04It goes fast though.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, it does. Yeah, and uh I I feel like uh this is a movie I had some like information, you know, funny back uh background stories.
SPEAKER_04I also like this movie. Sorry, I had to interrupt you because I just remembered something I was gonna say.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, please.
SPEAKER_04Um I also like that we had the Schwarzenegger reference and Jackie Chan was in there too.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Just as a reference, he wasn't in the movie.
SPEAKER_05No. Stallone wanted him as the bad guy. Yeah. Jackie didn't want to be a bad guy.
SPEAKER_04And it would have been so funny because the actual bad guy was making fun of the Chinese people. Yeah. So if Jackie was doing that, that would have been so ironic, so funny.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. Yeah, I I it's a fun movie.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. I liked a lot about it. It was good. Very action-y movie. Yeah. Lots of action in this one and explosions and stuff.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_05So are we uh uh are we done? Yeah, with this one.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, we can go to the next one.
SPEAKER_05Next
The Ridiculous Six Western Rundown
SPEAKER_05one, and that's the ridiculous six. So in this movie, uh this uh well Adam Sandler is a white guy raised by Indians or uh Amindians. Yeah. Native Americans. Amindians.
SPEAKER_04Native Amindians.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. So he um and he meets his father, who's uh a bank robber. Uh and um yeah, and then uh his father gets himself kidnapped, and now he uh wants to save his father. So and uh on the way he meets other people who turns out to be sons of the same father. So he meets his half brothers and yeah, total six or five of them. He's the sixth one. So yeah, there's six brothers brothers looking for his fat their father.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Uh it's a Western movie, by the way.
SPEAKER_04Yes.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, it's uh it's a silly movie. Uh do you have more to add?
SPEAKER_04Or sh uh Rob Schneider was in this movie too.
SPEAKER_05Yes, he was and one of the brothers.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. And Luke Wilson.
SPEAKER_05Yes.
SPEAKER_04And is his name Hugo from Lost? Uh no.
SPEAKER_05Uh No.
SPEAKER_04What's his name?
SPEAKER_05Uh his real name.
SPEAKER_04No.
SPEAKER_05Uh Hurley.
SPEAKER_04Hurley. Yeah. Not Hugo. I don't know why I was thinking that. Name. Yeah. Hurley from Lost. Yes. And Terry Cruz. Right. Terry Cruz was also there. And Taylor Lautner. Yeah. Oh my god, he's so dumb. He just has to play the annoying one in Adam Sandler's movies. Yeah. I guess. Yeah. And Steve Buscemi was somewhere in this movie. And I saw David Spade.
SPEAKER_05Yes. And John Totoro was the inventor of baseball.
SPEAKER_04Oh my god. I hate him. The character. I don't know the actor, but and oh brother. Oh my god, no. It's the same guy? Yeah. Oh my god. I don't recognize him in any of the movies. It's the same guy. Oh my god. Okay. There was someone else. Uh John Lovitz.
SPEAKER_05Yes. He's there.
SPEAKER_04He's there.
SPEAKER_05Their father is played by Nick Nolte.
SPEAKER_04Okay. I don't know him.
SPEAKER_05No, okay.
SPEAKER_04Or I don't know the name.
SPEAKER_05No, okay. No. No, I I I don't think we maybe we haven't watched any of his movies.
SPEAKER_04And uh John Wilkes Booth was not who I thought it was. Okay. You you said his name, and I was like, oh no. Okay, never mind. Nope.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_04No. So I was wrong about him too.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_04What else? Who else was in this one? Or is that it?
SPEAKER_05I feel like we're missing someone. Oh, Will Forte is Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_04Well, I didn't recognize him either.
SPEAKER_05Okay. And yeah.
SPEAKER_04He's like another one of those people who like I I won't recognize him if no one says anything.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, okay.
SPEAKER_04I don't know. I just don't remember his face ever.
SPEAKER_05He also covered his eye, so Oh my god.
SPEAKER_04I hate that part. I hate the eyes.
SPEAKER_05The eye part.
SPEAKER_04The eyes are not good. No. It was so mean of the rest of the gang. Yeah. I don't know.
SPEAKER_05Force him to, yeah.
SPEAKER_04Ugh.
SPEAKER_05And then they all have their both eyes.
SPEAKER_04That was mean. And they made him get rid of his good eye. Yeah. Anyway. How did I feel about this movie?
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Um, I'm gonna say generally I like him. Okay. It was kind of stupid, it was kind of cringy, and that the eyeball part, no, no. Blah. It was awful. The film is well made. I have to give that to him. Yeah. Um, it's it's a good piece of work. I generally like it. Do you like the movie? What do you think?
SPEAKER_05I do. I think it's funny, but yeah, it's stupid.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_05But yeah, I mean uh I I I like the stupidest character. Yeah. Little Pete. It's so stupid.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. And the whole donkey thing was just kind of dumb.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. Yeah, it's very childish at uh at certain parts, and uh yeah, it's very, very stupid. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04But overall, yeah. It's okay. It's okay. It's okay.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. I'm not mad about it.
SPEAKER_04Good. It was on my side. I guess I have to be okay with it. Yeah. Anything else?
SPEAKER_05No. Maybe not. I I just feel like we missed someone, but uh it doesn't really matter.
SPEAKER_04Nothing really matters.
SPEAKER_05Nothing.
SPEAKER_04Not to me.
SPEAKER_05No. I don't get the reference.
SPEAKER_04Because it's my birthday. It is. I decide. Would you like
Break Time And Cake Reset
SPEAKER_04to take a break? Take a break?
SPEAKER_05If you want to.
SPEAKER_04Thank you. Yeah. That was nice.
SPEAKER_05You decide.
SPEAKER_04Let's watch a movie while we take a break.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_04We will be back later.
SPEAKER_05In an hour or so.
SPEAKER_04In an hour or so. We'll be right back.
SPEAKER_05Bye-bye.
SPEAKER_04We're back.
SPEAKER_05We are back.
SPEAKER_04Hello.
SPEAKER_05I I was wondering what what do we usually say?
SPEAKER_04What's the wine?
SPEAKER_05Yeah. But yeah.
SPEAKER_04Well, I said it.
SPEAKER_05You did. You saved it.
SPEAKER_04I saved the day.
SPEAKER_05Yep. Yes. Thank you. You're welcome.
SPEAKER_04And now we eat cake.
SPEAKER_05Yes.
SPEAKER_04Okay.
SPEAKER_05Hungry.
SPEAKER_04That's my favorite part of birthdays is cake.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Okay. Well, uh, the second half is a gift to me. So you run this. You run the show.
SPEAKER_05Gift to you. I'm gonna give you a list. You're gonna wait for that.
SPEAKER_04Okay. I'm not hinting or anything.
SPEAKER_05No.
SPEAKER_04Making sure you didn't forget there was something behind you.
SPEAKER_05That's not for you.
SPEAKER_04Okay, it's for someone else. It's for you. Yeah. You wrapped a present for yourself. To be like, hey, look what I got for me. Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_05I think I might like it more than you actually. You might. Probably. Probably. Sorry.
SPEAKER_04Oh well. Are you gonna take it home with you? Maybe. I don't get to keep it. No. Okay. I have enough. I guess. You don't?
SPEAKER_05I'm kidding.
SPEAKER_04Okay. What do you have for me?
Ten Facts About Lauren
SPEAKER_05I do have a list for you.
SPEAKER_04Oh, I like those even more.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. Cause I I'm supposed I'm supposed to make you a list, but you made open eyes uh make a list for me uh when it was my birthday. So now I told open eyes to do the same for you. What?
SPEAKER_04Should I ask my open eyes to make your list?
SPEAKER_05What?
SPEAKER_04Should I ask my open eyes to make you a list?
SPEAKER_05For you.
SPEAKER_04About me. I'm sorry.
SPEAKER_05No, it's okay. I I I do have a list.
SPEAKER_04Okay.
SPEAKER_05But I don't know if it's a good one, but uh if you wanna make it because I can, you can and then you can compare and then take what you want. Okay.
SPEAKER_04I'll do that for you. To make your life easier. I'm sorry, I completely misread everything. What did uh you write?
SPEAKER_05I uh wrote like a uh personal fact about Lauren or how personal I mean uh that's how I had to, because uh this is not uh it hasn't learned about you, so uh Okay.
SPEAKER_04Make a list of ten facts about Lauren. Patience. Lauren. Right?
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Okay. I hope it doesn't say anything about like my personal life.
SPEAKER_05Oh my god.
SPEAKER_04Oh no. Is it that bad? And then the last one has to be the same as usual.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, that's true. I forgot about that.
SPEAKER_04Don't forget about that, it's the most important part.
SPEAKER_05That's true. Okay, I'm I'm gonna go with this one.
SPEAKER_04Okay.
SPEAKER_05Lauren, it says uh last name too, but I'm not gonna say that.
SPEAKER_04Okay.
SPEAKER_05Was born in 1993. That's true. And is originally from New Hampshire.
SPEAKER_04That is also true.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_04I'm fact-checking.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. Uh she moved to Sweden in 2014.
SPEAKER_04Is that number two?
SPEAKER_05Yeah, number two.
SPEAKER_04Okay.
SPEAKER_05She moved to Sweden in 2014. And uh yeah, I don't wanna say where you live. So yeah. I live here. In Sweden. In this room. Yeah, you live here. Right here. Right here.
SPEAKER_04This is where I live.
SPEAKER_05I'm gonna go with uh number three. I'm gonna take number three from this one. She has at least one child. At least one. Yeah. In a 2025 episode, she discussed raising a child a first child young young. That's true. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04And uh I was 18 when he was born.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. And another episode mentions a 14-year-old birthday.
SPEAKER_04That is the same one.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_04So I've had at least one child.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. That was number three.
SPEAKER_04Yes.
SPEAKER_05Number four.
SPEAKER_04This is so funny.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_04People who can't see this, Matias is going back and forth between two phones, two different lists, trying to pick out the best points. It's very confused.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Number four.
SPEAKER_05Number four. I um already talked about that.
SPEAKER_04Oh, number five.
SPEAKER_05Okay, number four.
SPEAKER_04Okay.
SPEAKER_05She is heavily interested in movies and participates in regular movie nights.
SPEAKER_04That is true. I am forced.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_05Movie night discussions that are a core part of the podcast.
SPEAKER_04That is a fact.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. Oh, by the way, we I didn't know. She co-hosts a uh number five. Number five. She co-hosts a comedy podcast called Roasty Toasty Ghosty with her best friend Matias.
SPEAKER_04Few people know that.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Not even the people listening right now knew that.
SPEAKER_05No. That was five. Yes. Okay, number uh six. Mm-hmm. She has a sister named Heather. That's true. Who appeared as a guest on the show.
SPEAKER_04Yes. At least twice.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_04She's also our one and only fan of the podcast.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_04The only participant of the podcast. And uh whenever we went live, she was always there. Yeah. Except for those times when she wasn't. No. And I never forgave her for that.
SPEAKER_05Though we had some problems because we had lots of problems. Yeah. We had no one else. Yes. We have no one else, so yeah.
SPEAKER_04This is a sad podcast.
SPEAKER_05It is. Was that number six? I think so. Number seven. Lauren has ADHD.
SPEAKER_04Lauren has 80 cats.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. ADHD and does best with routines, schedules, and clear plans. That's true. That's what I do.
SPEAKER_04Oh, speaking of, I didn't even mention that the the program that
Film School Yes And Life Logistics
SPEAKER_04I applied for, the film program. Yeah. I got accepted. Yeah. And I I I said yes, I want to be a part of this. And so I'm gonna do that in August.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_04I'm gonna go to film school, guys. I'm so excited.
SPEAKER_05Very cool. Yeah, you you were hesitant about it.
SPEAKER_04Oh yeah. Well, I mean, it's a huge commitment. It is. I mean, it's not nearby. It's in Stockholm. It's like two hours away. Yeah. So that's four hours of travel on the days that I have to be there. And then I have kids and gymnastics as well. So I don't know how it's gonna work out, but it's gonna work out.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. Yeah. That's all.
SPEAKER_04We're adapting. My life partner said, just do it and I'll take care of the rest.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Because he's like, I don't know, amazing, I guess.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. He's a good dude.
SPEAKER_04He's a good dude. He's a good guy. Yeah. He's one of the good guys. He won't admit it. If you ask him, he'll be like, no, I'm a bad guy. I hate everything. Yeah. But he's a good guy.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Number eight.
SPEAKER_05That was number eight, right?
SPEAKER_04I thought it was seven.
SPEAKER_05Okay. Then number two. Let's read both the lists. Number eight. She uh Lauren has been involved with gymnastics either personally or through family activities. One of the two. Yeah. And has discussed gymnastics, competitions, training, and related experiences on the podcasts.
SPEAKER_04And it was very boring. I didn't like any of it.
SPEAKER_05You didn't like that at all?
SPEAKER_04I hated that episode. That was my least favorite so far. Maybe because I bored myself talking about it.
SPEAKER_05And you edited the entire that entire podcast.
SPEAKER_04I didn't like any of it.
SPEAKER_05No. You didn't want me to Well, I had other things to do.
SPEAKER_04I was being nice. Yeah, you were. I was being nice. Yeah. For once. And then this weekend you're gonna edit the entire episode.
SPEAKER_05Okay, let's uh let's wrap this up. Speed this up a little. Yeah, okay.
SPEAKER_04I I can do that. Unless I find time first thing in the morning. No, I I'll do it. I can do it. Oh my god.
SPEAKER_05Umber nine. Number nine. She has talked about health-related topics from her own life, including eye exams.
SPEAKER_00Ew.
SPEAKER_05Uh glasses, physical therapy, doctor appointments, hair changes, and fitness activities.
SPEAKER_04Hair changes like I had a hair transplant. I've spent a lot of time in hospitals, but that was not part of it.
SPEAKER_05Hair hospital.
SPEAKER_04I did not go to a hair hospital. I went to a hair salon. Okay, sure. If I say I got my hair fixed, that doesn't mean by a doctor. It means by For free. For free. Uh I went to a hairdresser for that. Not the doctors. No. Not the hair doctors. No. I could call them hair doctors, but I don't think they went to medical school to learn how to cut hair or color.
SPEAKER_05We need to amputate this hair.
SPEAKER_04All these down here, these need to be amputated. Do you want anything amputated from up here? You want to trim? I mean, like, what if they talked about arms like that? It's like, where do you want us to cut?
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Where would you rather? Like up here? You want a little bit shorter? A little bit, you want it longer? You like it here?
SPEAKER_05Maybe. Who knows? I can take that. Thank you. Because I have one more. I'm gonna improvise this.
SPEAKER_04You're just coming up with this on the spot.
SPEAKER_05Okay. The last fact is that you're my bestie.
SPEAKER_04Yay!
SPEAKER_05Yay! Never said that before.
SPEAKER_04No. We've never talked about this.
SPEAKER_05No. Breaking news.
SPEAKER_04I don't know how I feel about this, you know, reaching the public and stuff. Yeah. I mean, I wish you would have discussed this with me first.
SPEAKER_05No. Disclosure day.
SPEAKER_04That's today. Are you an alien? Yeah. Okay. Oh, yeah, by the way, happy birthday. Oh, thank you.
SPEAKER_05Because it's your birthday.
SPEAKER_04Oh, it's ten minutes into my birthday. It is? It's officially my birthday.
SPEAKER_05Awesome.
SPEAKER_04Except I was born at like 4 45 in the afternoon.
SPEAKER_05Oh, we we have a few hours to wait.
SPEAKER_0433 years ago, I think my mom was in labor.
SPEAKER_05Okay, yeah. I I have a bonus one. I I just thought it it's so weirdly put.
SPEAKER_04Summer bonus.
SPEAKER_05Okay. This one.
SPEAKER_04Well you just tell me.
SPEAKER_05Bonus one. Yeah. Shut up now. She moved countries at some point in her life and discussed how support systems affected that experience.
SPEAKER_04Yes, I moved the countries myself.
SPEAKER_05You rearranged the I did.
SPEAKER_04I I thought this looks like a really fun puzzle. So I moved countries around and I did have a support system. Said yes, do that. Do that. It looks good. Yeah. It looks like that piece goes there. Good job. Thank you. I did. I moved from the United States to Sweden.
SPEAKER_05You did. Was it a good move? Are you happy about that move? Today. Yes.
SPEAKER_04I am happy. Uh tomorrow. I might have a different opinion.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_04I might move to Finland.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_04I'm gonna move Finland. Yeah. With my rowboat.
SPEAKER_05Rowboat. Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04I'm gonna run into Finland and it's gonna move like a centimeter.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. And you're gonna move back.
SPEAKER_04And then bump into it again.
SPEAKER_05Keep going. You're gonna separate Finland and Sweden.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_05You're gonna go back and forth.
SPEAKER_04Connected to Russia.
SPEAKER_05Finland. Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. I'm gonna uh I'm gonna save Finland by pushing them away from Russia.
SPEAKER_05Okay, so you're gonna move Finland closer to Sweden.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. I want them to be attached. No, I can't have that because then where am I gonna take my boat to?
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_04I have to rethink everything.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. Oh my god.
SPEAKER_04I had everything planned out. Oh well.
SPEAKER_05I'm sorry for ruining your plans.
SPEAKER_04You ruined my life.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. Good. Then you have an answer for that one.
SPEAKER_04Good.
SPEAKER_05Um now, since it's your birthday.
SPEAKER_04Oh, I thought we were wrapping it up.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_04Yes, it is my birthday now.
SPEAKER_05It is your birthday.
SPEAKER_04You've been waiting all this time for it to be my birthday. Yeah. And now it's my birthday.
SPEAKER_05Now it's your birthday. And I was the one the first one who said happy birthday on your birthday.
SPEAKER_04Thank you. So happy birthday. And the first one to give me a present on my birthday.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Probably the only one.
Birthday Gift Unwrap And Movie Shelf
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_04That's fine. I'm gonna open my present now.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_04No, there's no opening point.
SPEAKER_05No opening point. It's not supposed to be open.
SPEAKER_04It's not supposed to be open. That's the thing. The present wasn't meant to be open. I worked so hard on that. Why are you ripping it apart? I'm trying not to. I like to be clean with my present opening. I don't want to rip the paper. I want it to be whole when I'm done. Or mostly whole. I'm not doing a great job. But you didn't make this easy for me either.
SPEAKER_05No. You know I taped the item as well.
SPEAKER_04Okay, well, I'm gonna rip it.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_04Got it.
SPEAKER_05Yay.
SPEAKER_04It's a movie. It's upside down. It's a double pack. It's a I'm looking at the back. Gorgeous. Gorgeous.
SPEAKER_05Gorgeous.
SPEAKER_04Gorgeous. And who am I?
SPEAKER_05You know.
SPEAKER_04Do I have that one?
SPEAKER_05You have that one on Blu-ray. But it didn't have subtitles.
SPEAKER_04Oh no.
SPEAKER_05Now you do have subtitles.
SPEAKER_04Yay. On DVD though, but uh Okay, now we have a problem though. Because when you put this on my shelf, which one are you gonna go with?
SPEAKER_05I don't know.
SPEAKER_04Probably gorgeous.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, that's the first one, right? Yeah.
SPEAKER_04And who am I?
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Yay! Thank you.
SPEAKER_05You're welcome. I wish I had more, but uh I don't.
SPEAKER_04No. I'm still missing all the Rocky movies.
SPEAKER_05You. You do. You.
SPEAKER_04You it's not my fault, is it? You know. It's not me.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, you do, but um.
SPEAKER_04Oh well.
SPEAKER_05Oh well.
SPEAKER_04Now it.
SPEAKER_05I don't know.
SPEAKER_04Is that it?
SPEAKER_05I don't know. What what do you wanna
Turning 33 Motivation And Weight Talk
SPEAKER_05do?
SPEAKER_04I don't know.
SPEAKER_05You wanna tell something about yourself? How does it feel being 33 now that you're 33?
SPEAKER_04Now that I'm finally there. I feel pretty good. Yeah, I feel like 33 is easier to remember than 32.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_0431 was like really hard.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_04I don't know. But I don't usually think of these things. No. So anytime someone asks me how old I am, I have to like think about it.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, I I get it. But you know, 35 is pretty good. Because then it's like in the middle.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. That's a good one to remember.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_04So I feel like next year I'm gonna struggle a bit, but then the year after that I'll I'll be able to remember 35.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, I think I probably have to wait five more years until I'm 40. And I'm like, yeah, I'm 40.
SPEAKER_04I'm 40 now. Oh my god, I'm 40 in five years. Stop it. That's not cool.
SPEAKER_05No, that's not okay.
SPEAKER_04Well, that's five years from now.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_04So you can worry about it then.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, that's true.
SPEAKER_04Right now, you don't have to worry about it.
SPEAKER_05No.
SPEAKER_04You can think about it later. Not now.
SPEAKER_05Later problem.
SPEAKER_04That is a later problem. But no, things feel pretty good right now. I don't think anything is really ruining my life.
SPEAKER_05No.
SPEAKER_04No.
SPEAKER_05You wanna talk about that right now?
SPEAKER_04Uh yeah. Because I feel like we're reaching the end of the episode.
SPEAKER_05I guess so.
SPEAKER_04Do you have anything ruining your life?
SPEAKER_05I guess it's uh the fact that I was doing so good with my weight loss. But now I'm I'm up a bit again.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Well so am I. Uh this week has been iffy.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_04It's been so weird. But now I'm thinking like it's my birthday and it's like birthday weekend.
SPEAKER_05So I'm gonna That's when you can let yourself go.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I'm gonna I'm gonna do what I want and then on Monday I'll do better.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_04I just have to figure out how to re-motivate myself to like do anything. Because I don't really have like school or I mean I haven't worked. I I worked yesterday, but that's not what I mean. But I I haven't I don't have much of a routine and that makes me lay on the couch and do nothing. So I need to start making lists of things to do.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_04But I'll do that on Monday.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. Procrastination.
SPEAKER_04Yay. And then I'll spend the whole day writing out a list and then not doing any of it until Tuesday.
SPEAKER_05Sounds good.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. I guess that's kind of ruining my life. It's my lack of motivation to do anything.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_04But I mean, we'll we'll get back to it on Monday. Yeah. When it that's usually the official day to start anything.
SPEAKER_05We'll be back.
SPEAKER_04We'll be back on Monday.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Would you like to wrap this up?
SPEAKER_05Let's wrap this up.
SPEAKER_04Because I'm all out of sips.
SPEAKER_05Are you?
SPEAKER_04I am.
SPEAKER_05So am I.
SPEAKER_04Alright.
SPEAKER_05And that means we're all out of episode.
SPEAKER_04So we're gonna wrap this up?
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. And I'm gonna celebrate my birthday somewhere else.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
