Cold Open And Catching Up

SPEAKER_07

Hello.

SPEAKER_04

Hello.

SPEAKER_07

We're back. We are back, and I'm out of tips.

SPEAKER_04

Okay, so that means we should start the episode.

SPEAKER_07

I think so. Alright.

SPEAKER_04

So should we open this up?

SPEAKER_07

I don't know. Oh, my stomach started turning. Alright, let's open this up. Whoops. I was a bit fast today. Never that fast.

SPEAKER_04

No.

SPEAKER_07

These bubbles are gonna destroy me.

SPEAKER_04

So good.

SPEAKER_07

Alright. Who knows what episode it is now?

SPEAKER_04

No one knows. That's the mystery.

SPEAKER_07

Hell at the moment, yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. Hello and welcome to Roasty Toasty Ghosty. My name is Matias.

SPEAKER_06

I'm Lauren.

SPEAKER_04

We're gonna be your besties for an hour or an hour or so.

SPEAKER_07

Right. Okay, yeah.

SPEAKER_04

That's what I meant.

SPEAKER_07

Sounds good.

SPEAKER_04

How are you?

SPEAKER_07

I'm I'm okay.

SPEAKER_04

You're okay.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah. I've I've been um eating a lot of bad foods lately. Yeah, okay. And my body is catching up with that. Uh and it's not comfortable.

SPEAKER_04

It's not good.

SPEAKER_07

It's not good.

SPEAKER_04

Bad food are not good food. Well, it tastes good, but it's not good for you.

SPEAKER_07

No. How are you doing?

SPEAKER_04

I'm doing well. Cool. I think. Alright. Yeah. I mean, yeah, it's it's good.

SPEAKER_07

It's warm today. Yeah. It is summer.

SPEAKER_04

It is.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, I'm wearing shorts.

SPEAKER_04

You are.

SPEAKER_07

I am. My I I usually get a round of applause when I wear shorts. Every time I walk. From my own legs.

Train Trip To Astrid Lindgren’s World

SPEAKER_04

Oh, okay. Yeah, okay. From Lauren.

SPEAKER_07

Yep. I give myself a round of applause just for getting up and walking to the kitchen, the bathroom.

SPEAKER_05

Wherever you're walking.

SPEAKER_07

Wherever I go, clapping for myself. Yep. I made that joke to my daughter once, and she thought it was really funny.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, okay. You're like, it's not that funny.

SPEAKER_07

It's not that funny. We all uh suffer from large thighs. So yeah. She could relate.

SPEAKER_04

Okay.

SPEAKER_07

She's not that big though.

SPEAKER_04

No.

SPEAKER_07

She has no idea.

SPEAKER_04

No.

SPEAKER_07

She has no idea.

SPEAKER_04

No idea.

SPEAKER_07

No idea. Oh well.

SPEAKER_04

Oh well.

SPEAKER_07

Yep. Um, what ha have you have you done anything fun and exciting in the past week? When did we last record? Is that Thursday? Friday?

SPEAKER_04

Friday.

SPEAKER_07

Saturday. Sunday? Monday?

SPEAKER_04

Friday?

SPEAKER_07

Wednesday?

SPEAKER_04

Friday.

SPEAKER_07

Friday.

SPEAKER_04

I think it might have been Friday.

SPEAKER_07

Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_04

Um yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Oh yeah. I think I I think you're right. Yeah. Cool. Wow.

SPEAKER_04

I don't know. What what happened?

SPEAKER_07

Did you do anything last weekend?

SPEAKER_04

I don't think so.

SPEAKER_07

Nope. Okay.

SPEAKER_04

Nothing fun.

SPEAKER_07

Okay.

SPEAKER_04

Did you?

SPEAKER_07

I don't remember what I did last weekend, but I went on a trip on Monday. We took a train. Uh, myself, my life partner, and Sick Child and I. Okay. Took a train. A few trains to Astrid Lingren's World.

SPEAKER_04

Okay. And where is that?

SPEAKER_07

Vimebi.

SPEAKER_04

Vimebi.

SPEAKER_07

Sweden.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. We went to Sweden. South. Or is it?

SPEAKER_07

Yeah. Well, we went through Eskins Tuna and uh Linshopping. I don't know where these places are, but I'm guessing they're southern. Yeah. Southern-ish.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, I don't know.

SPEAKER_07

Like midsummer, midway. Midsummer.

SPEAKER_05

Midsummer.

SPEAKER_07

They're like midsummer. Mid-southern.

SPEAKER_05

You went through midsummer.

SPEAKER_07

We went back in time. Somewhere in between here and the south, mid-southern. Yeah. I think in the small lands.

SPEAKER_04

Oh yeah, okay.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Small lands.

SPEAKER_07

Everything was small. The houses were small and um everything was small.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

In the small lands. I'm guessing you haven't been there.

SPEAKER_04

No.

SPEAKER_07

So I would know better than you. You just have to trust me that everything is small.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. I trust you.

SPEAKER_07

Small lands. The lands of the small Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Okay.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah. So we went there and um we stayed in a hotel for a couple nights. And when we went to this park, we really expected Sick Child to thoroughly enjoy everything and go see all the things that we wanted to see and do all the things that we wanted to do. But uh no.

SPEAKER_03

No.

SPEAKER_07

Because there's like small shows, like theater shows that they put on for all the, you know, Astrid Lingren characters and stories and stuff. He didn't want to watch them because he is six. Of course he doesn't. And he's really I mean, like, how interested is he in all of this anyway? So we had to break the news to his grandmother that this isn't happening. He just wants to play on the playgrounds because the playgrounds had tiny houses where he could go in and play around. And you know, other playgrounds. There were others, it's not just tiny houses. And that's just how it was.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

And he did. He played a lot and he enjoyed the playgrounds. Yeah. And we had candy and ice cream and fika and yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

It was a good time.

SPEAKER_03

Good.

SPEAKER_07

And then we went back to the hotel and I had a few drinks. And yeah.

SPEAKER_04

That was the end of that.

SPEAKER_07

That was the end of that. Yup.

SPEAKER_04

I had And then you were back.

SPEAKER_07

And then I came back. Oh my goodness. My body doesn't really like traveling that much.

Travel Hangovers And A Car Part

SPEAKER_04

Okay.

SPEAKER_07

It's exhausting. For some reason, it's exhausting.

SPEAKER_04

For some reason you travel a lot.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah. Right now. That too. I'm just like traveling a lot and my body does not like it.

SPEAKER_03

No.

SPEAKER_07

I don't know if it's just the sitting around doing nothing for hours on end. Or if it's the actual vehicles that we are traveling in, like the trains and the buses. I don't know if it's like the shaking that's just like messing my body up. It's making makes me so uncomfortable. It's like headaches and my stomach is like turning and it's just it doesn't feel good. You get nauseous after a while.

SPEAKER_04

Is it the same with planes?

SPEAKER_07

Yeah. I mean, a day of traveling is exhausting, and I don't even know why.

SPEAKER_04

No. Car?

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, that too. Sometimes the car's even worse.

SPEAKER_04

Okay.

SPEAKER_07

I don't know. I don't know why. It might be the air. Yeah. Or lack thereof. I don't know. But yeah, it's summer and we do a lot of traveling.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. Well to random places.

SPEAKER_07

I do. You do. I do.

SPEAKER_04

I don't that much.

SPEAKER_07

No. Uh so that's just how it is. I don't know.

SPEAKER_04

Um That's that was a noise. Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_07

It was.

SPEAKER_04

What the heck?

SPEAKER_07

Yeah. I never said I was gonna stop punching the table.

SPEAKER_02

No.

SPEAKER_07

Uh yeah, so that's that's what I did. And then yesterday we drove back to Esquis Juna to fix the car.

SPEAKER_04

Okay.

SPEAKER_07

It had to have this special little fancy French part. Oh. Came from France. We could have just picked it up while we were in France, but hey. Whatever. Anyway, we did that, and while we were waiting, we got dropped off uh the nearby mall and I don't know, wandered around and there was a playground there too. And then we went back and then we went home. Yeah. That's all. That's what we did yesterday. Okay. Yeah. And now today is Friday.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

You got the day off.

SPEAKER_04

I got the day off and I have a vacation now for a few weeks.

SPEAKER_07

Congratulations.

SPEAKER_04

Thank you. It's needed.

SPEAKER_07

It's Friday. We watch movies.

SPEAKER_04

Okay.

SPEAKER_07

Okay.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. Yeah, we did. No, I I was I've been telling you this. Okay. Okay. Now I know. No, uh yes, we did.

SPEAKER_07

We did. Uh wait, hold on. Today is July 24th.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

And we watch movies. Would you like to move on?

SPEAKER_04

Let's move on.

SPEAKER_07

Okay. Yeah. So today we watched the week of 2018. I think that's what it's called.

SPEAKER_04

Just the week of Oh.

SPEAKER_07

In the title it said The Week of 2018.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, but those were in on parenthes.

SPEAKER_07

Okay.

SPEAKER_04

2018.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah. And the other one was uh Dremguakam, I think. Yeah. I think that's what it was called, because I don't remember. Okay. It was the house. House.

SPEAKER_04

I usually call it I usually call it Yeah, well, we all have a penwin a uh penguins.

SPEAKER_07

We all have penguins, don't we?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, we do. Uh the money pit.

SPEAKER_07

Oh yeah. You can call it whatever you want to.

SPEAKER_04

Um or in Swedish it's called Hem de Urahem.

SPEAKER_07

Okay. Yeah. Alright. We started with the Week of.

SPEAKER_04

Yes. And that's your movie. So I'm gonna tell you about the Week of. So this is the story of a couple who's got and getting married, and uh this is the week before the marriage and uh the the families of the bride and groom. And uh yeah, it's uh so Adam Sandler is the dad to the bride and Chris Rock is the dad to the groom. Um and uh it's it's a lot. I mean i it's this movie is kind of like um situational, like it's not uh it it doesn't have much story, it's more like uh um just things happening. I don't know what what do you think and think?

SPEAKER_07

What what do I think?

SPEAKER_04

What do you think?

SPEAKER_07

Think, okay. Um yes, you're right. It's chaos. Yeah, it's a chaos movie.

SPEAKER_04

And that's it. It's also very like down to earth in a way, because I mean it's not uh I mean s the characters are kind of over the top, but still you would believe that there are people like that. And yeah. Yeah. And uh yeah, I don't know uh how much to tell you. What did you think about this movie?

SPEAKER_07

I enjoyed the movie. Yeah. I kinda like chaos movies. Yeah. They're kinda fun. There's a lot going on, but it was I mean, pretty simple.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

It was chaotic, but it was simple.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Which is fun. I have not seen this movie before.

SPEAKER_04

No. Have you? No.

SPEAKER_07

No, I haven't. Cool.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

What did you think?

SPEAKER_04

I uh thought it was kind of fun. It it was very uneven though. I feel like uh some parts were really funny and some parts weren't that funny.

SPEAKER_02

Okay.

SPEAKER_04

You know, I I still enjoyed the movie. It was quite funny, but uh yeah, some parts weren't that funny.

Movie Night Pick The Week Of

SPEAKER_06

Okay. Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, I don't know.

SPEAKER_06

Sounds good.

SPEAKER_04

It got laughs from me though. Yep. Especially when uh uh Chris Rock hurt himself after a dream.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

That scene was so so funny. I don't know. And also the when people just uh um pulled uh things um uh in the head of the older guy, you know. He got like a TV on his head, uh the old legless guy, and then he got something else on like everything fell on his head. Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

But yeah. I I guess I like the slapstick parts. Um I'm but you know I like slapsticks, so yeah.

SPEAKER_07

I I like the awkward part when there was a couple of random black guys just walking by and Adam Sandler invited them in thinking that they were in Chris Rock's family. Just assuming.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

And got invited in for breakfast. Yeah. That was nice.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

And then they just kind of became part of the family.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. Since he invited them, why not?

SPEAKER_07

Sure. Yeah, thank you.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Uh Steve Bushami was in this one.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

As well. And oh, uh, what's her name? Is her name Rachel?

SPEAKER_04

Rachel Dratch.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Um I like that she got a bigger role than she usually does.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

She was the wife to Adam Sandler. That was nice.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah. She's uh Debbie Downer.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

From SNL.

SPEAKER_04

Yes.

SPEAKER_07

Which is funny. That's all I know her from.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, yeah, me too. And like cameos from Adam Sandler movies. Yeah. That's pretty much it.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

And also Lady from Bones or Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, she was there. I don't remember her name. No. But she was in Bones.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Which I used to watch all the time.

SPEAKER_04

Okay. Yeah, never seen it, so but it's pretty good.

SPEAKER_07

Okay. Yeah. Well, it was when I was watching it. I don't know how it is now.

SPEAKER_04

No. Is it still on?

SPEAKER_07

No. No. No.

SPEAKER_04

Because some of those uh series just keeps going. Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah. Mm-hmm. Uh who else? Was that it?

SPEAKER_04

I feel like it must be someone else.

SPEAKER_07

I'm not sure if I recognized anyone else.

SPEAKER_04

No, maybe not.

SPEAKER_07

That's too bad.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Oh well.

SPEAKER_04

I was expecting Chris Rock to have a bigger role though. Or or at least in the beginning. Because I'm like, where's Chris Rock? It's just like Adam Sandler.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, it was a lots of focus on Adam Sandler.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. Yeah. But yeah, I still uh I liked the movie.

SPEAKER_07

It was still good.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

Best Bits And Cast Shoutouts

SPEAKER_07

Uh shall we go on to the next one?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, we can go on to The Money Pit? Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Okay. Wasn't in Brad Pitt in a movie with a similar title.

SPEAKER_04

Moneyball.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

But I guess he was Money Pit there.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Money Brad Pitt.

SPEAKER_07

Alright. Yeah, yeah. Okay. Okay. It's like the same thing. Um okay, so this

The Money Pit And Renovation Flashbacks

SPEAKER_07

is a movie with Tom Hanks. Yeah. Not Tom Cruise. No.

SPEAKER_04

But they're not the same person.

SPEAKER_07

They're not. Persons.

SPEAKER_04

The same person.

SPEAKER_07

I don't know. Uh, but they're not. Um, but uh he was there and he has a girlfriend.

SPEAKER_04

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_07

And the guy from Die Hard is in this movie.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Mm-hmm. And uh Tom Hanks and his girlfriend get kicked out of the place that we're they were staying in and had to find a house. And so they found a house and it looked really good, and then they moved in, and then it all fell apart.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

And then they fell apart.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. Yep.

SPEAKER_07

That's what happened.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

What do you think about this movie?

SPEAKER_04

I love this movie.

SPEAKER_07

You've seen it.

SPEAKER_04

I've seen it many times. And yeah, it's uh I think it's really funny. And like you said, uh it could be called Drumkoken, because uh Drumkoken was like uh it's uh It was like the same thing. Yeah, remake of this. A Swedish remake of this movie. Yeah basically. Okay, but with bad guys.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Um but yeah, I There's no bad guys in this movie.

SPEAKER_07

No, no, not The House is the bad guy.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. Uh but yes, I really like this one. And I think this must be like my mom's favorite Tom Hanks movie ever.

SPEAKER_06

Not Tom Cruise.

SPEAKER_04

No, he's not in this movie. If he was maybe.

SPEAKER_07

Maybe. Okay. Okay.

SPEAKER_04

Um yeah. What did you think?

SPEAKER_07

I enjoyed this movie as well. I um was getting flashbacks with this movie because I recently was uh renovating a kitchen and there were a lot of workers working on the whole house and yeah, yeah, it was a big mess, and then it wasn't a big mess anymore. Which was basically my whole uh states trip wrapped into one little package.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Yep. I like the movie, it was good.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Well, I guess I guess the die hard guy could have been the bad guy of this movie in a way. Because he kind of tried to sabotage their relationship and it worked for a bit.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

And then the house got fixed and they were better again.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

I don't know. I don't know how long it took.

SPEAKER_04

No, but he also kind of fixed the problem. He caused the problem and then he fixed it too. Kind of in a way, yeah. He helped them fix it.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

So he was like a uh worker on their relationship. Yeah. He was like a carpenter, relationship carpenter.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, I guess. That's one way to put it. Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Alright. Um that's all I have.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

I've never seen this one.

SPEAKER_04

No, okay.

SPEAKER_07

No.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. I uh you have. I have, and I really like it very much. Cool. I think it's kind of funny that um uh like we talked about that uh Drumkoken was um uh like a remake and that uh movie stars uh Bjorn Hwiffs. Yes. And Björn Hwiffs plays or voices Woody in Toy Story One and Two.

SPEAKER_07

Oh, that's funny.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, so he's like uh Sweden's Tom Hanks.

SPEAKER_07

I guess so. But he wasn't in that many movies, right? No.

SPEAKER_04

No, he wasn't.

SPEAKER_07

We only saw like three.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

That's all the movies he was in, right?

SPEAKER_04

Uh I think he was in maybe a couple more, but uh Maybe we saw two. We saw three.

SPEAKER_07

Okay.

SPEAKER_04

We saw Strull, Joker, and Tom Coke.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah. Okay. Tom Hanks has been in more movies than that.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

That's a fact.

SPEAKER_04

And I don't know that. I don't know if he sings.

SPEAKER_07

Has Tom Hanks ever didn't he sing kind of in the Polar Express?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. Maybe.

SPEAKER_07

And he does sing.

SPEAKER_04

And in big. Okay. Yeah. Or maybe it's not really a sing, it's more like the the friend thing. Where they like du or you know, almost like that thing.

SPEAKER_06

Oh, the hand clapping thing.

SPEAKER_07

Okay. I don't know. No. I don't remember this.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_07

That doesn't mean it didn't happen.

SPEAKER_04

No. I'm pretty sure it happened.

SPEAKER_07

I'm not sure if Tom Hanks ever had a singing career.

SPEAKER_04

No. I think Björn Chiffs had a bigger singing career than Tom Hanks.

SPEAKER_07

He did have a singing career.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, he's the Uga Shaka guy.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, yeah. Hooks on the ceiling.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

That's my kind of song. As I'm putting up lamps.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

No one thinks I'm funny though. Alright. I'm done here. Would you like to take a break?

Quick Break Then Reset

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, let's take a break.

SPEAKER_07

Alright. We'll be right back.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. I think. Okay.

SPEAKER_07

Hello.

SPEAKER_04

We're back.

SPEAKER_07

We're back. How are you doing? I'm good. Okay. Hanging in there? You wanna continue? Yeah. Keep going.

SPEAKER_04

I don't know what we're doing though.

SPEAKER_07

Okay. I was thinking about doing something just for fun. I don't remember what we were just talking about. But

Astrology Readings For Both Hosts

SPEAKER_07

what do you know about like astrology?

SPEAKER_04

Not much.

SPEAKER_07

Not much.

SPEAKER_04

No.

SPEAKER_07

Okay. Do you know what your sign is?

SPEAKER_04

Is it called Pisces or something? What what is it? I like pies.

SPEAKER_07

Oh well, it's fish. They're fish.

SPEAKER_04

Okay.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah. Do you like fish? Uh uh. Not as much as not sound good. Do you like fish pie?

SPEAKER_04

I I I enjoy fish on pizza. And pizza is like a pie.

SPEAKER_07

You like shrimp on pizza.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. I I also like tuna on pizza.

SPEAKER_07

Oh, okay. Okay.

SPEAKER_04

So yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Alright. I'm not judging you. Okay.

SPEAKER_04

Fish pie. I'm a fish pie.

SPEAKER_07

You are a fish pie.

SPEAKER_04

What are you?

SPEAKER_07

I'm a Gemini. I'm twins.

SPEAKER_04

Gemini.

SPEAKER_07

So I asked Open Eyes to uh read my astrology or whatever, because I don't know how to say it. Read my things.

SPEAKER_04

Okay. Read my things.

SPEAKER_07

Read my things. And it asked for my birth date, the time I was born, and where I was born.

SPEAKER_04

Okay.

SPEAKER_07

And it came up with something. I don't know.

SPEAKER_04

You did that to both of us?

SPEAKER_07

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Okay.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah. So it says, here's a traditional astrological interpretation for reflection and entertainment rather than scientific prediction. My big three. I don't know what any of this means. Just a heads up. Okay. Okay. But so I'm gonna say a whole bunch of words and you can just say, okay. Alright.

SPEAKER_04

Okay.

SPEAKER_07

Sun in Gemini. Apparently that means something.

SPEAKER_04

Sun.

SPEAKER_07

Sun, like the sun in the sky. Okay. The sun. It's a star.

SPEAKER_04

In Gemini.

SPEAKER_07

Gemini. Yeah. Whatever that means. Just okay.

SPEAKER_04

Okay, okay, okay.

SPEAKER_07

I don't know. I don't know what it means. But just okay.

SPEAKER_04

Maybe the sun has a twin.

SPEAKER_07

I'm maybe. I never seen it, but No, it's on the other side of the world.

SPEAKER_04

No, the moon is the world.

SPEAKER_07

No, because the moon is something else. Yeah. Anyway. So this is uh a a guess on my personality. Okay. So curious, it means I'm curious, adaptable, and driven to learn. Uh Geminis often thrive when they're communicating, organizing information, and juggling different interests. That aligns well with my interest in project and production management.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_07

I asked my open eyes, not the general one.

SPEAKER_03

No.

SPEAKER_07

Because it knows me. Okay. The moon is in Pisces. That's you. Oh.

SPEAKER_04

But Moon Pie.

SPEAKER_07

Moon The Moon is in pie.

SPEAKER_04

Moon Pisces. I does that mean like cheese pie?

SPEAKER_07

Maybe.

SPEAKER_04

I like cheese. And I like pie.

SPEAKER_07

I've made a cheese pie. A ham and cheese pie. It's pretty good.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, fish and cheese pie.

SPEAKER_07

Ew, no, no, it's okay. Let's leave the fish out of it.

SPEAKER_04

Okay.

SPEAKER_07

Emotionally sensitive, compassionate, and intuitive intuitive. I tend, or it says you. Maybe I should just read it as it is. You tend to feel things deeply and may absorb the emotions of people around you. Creative outlets can be especially important to you. So yeah, I I sense when something's wrong, which is why I ask, what's wrong? Yeah. Because I feel things deeply and absorb your emotions.

SPEAKER_04

Okay. You do that.

SPEAKER_07

So if there's something wrong with you, then there's gonna be something wrong with me, and then we gotta figure that out.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, okay.

SPEAKER_07

Okay. Likely Scorpio rising. That's a scorpion.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

I don't know what that means. So okay.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_07

Assuming my birth time is accurate, which it I'm pretty sure it is. That's what it says on my birth certificate. Uh 445. Okay. It's in the afternoon. Okay.

SPEAKER_04

Wait, so these uh these are all you, right? Yeah. Okay.

SPEAKER_07

I'm getting to you. Yeah, I I'm there is a lot of things I had to say about that.

SPEAKER_04

I I'm uh thinking when you were talking Pisces, I I was like, that's me.

SPEAKER_07

No, that's still me. Okay. Uh apparently, I don't know. These were where the sun and the moon were when I was born. I don't know.

SPEAKER_04

So sun and moon and rising.

SPEAKER_07

Something's rising.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Scorpions.

SPEAKER_04

Scorpions rising.

SPEAKER_07

Uh I'm guessing we got attacked by scorpions at the moment where they were floating up like evaporating.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, okay.

SPEAKER_07

Like water. Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, maybe.

SPEAKER_07

This is a weird thing that's going on in the world. Yeah. I I didn't experience any of it. I was in a hospital.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, you forgot about it.

SPEAKER_07

I forgot.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

I don't remember this.

SPEAKER_04

No, no one's talking about it.

SPEAKER_07

No, it wasn't in the news or anything.

SPEAKER_04

No. We pretend like it never happens.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, that's weird. Okay. You may come across as determined, private, and perceptive. People often see Scorpio risings as resilient and intense, even if they don't feel that way inside. Okay.

SPEAKER_04

Okay.

SPEAKER_07

My strengths? Yeah. I am excellent at connecting ideas and people.

SPEAKER_03

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_07

I don't know. Okay. Uh creative with practical organizational ability. Strong intuition about people's motivations.

SPEAKER_03

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_07

So if you're up to no good. Apparently I'm supposed to catch that.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_07

I pick that up.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_07

Yup. I don't know. Loyal once you've committed to something.

SPEAKER_03

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_07

Until I don't feel loyal anymore. And then I'm just yeah, okay. Done with that. Uh yeah. My challenges, which I guess is a fun way of saying my weaknesses, because it started with strength. So I don't know why it wouldn't say weaknesses, but challenges.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

That's the politically correct way of saying that I have weaknesses.

SPEAKER_04

Everyone likes a challenge.

SPEAKER_07

Yep. I am a challenge. You may overthink decisions or keep too many options open. Hi. Hi. That is my biggest challenge.

SPEAKER_04

That is my middle name.

SPEAKER_07

Overthinking. Yes. Uh Gemini and Pisces together, which is not you. It has nothing to do with you. Okay. It was me. It's not about you.

SPEAKER_04

So it's uh twin fish.

SPEAKER_07

Twin fishies together. Can make it easy to dream big, but harder to stay focused on one path. Hello, that is me too.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_07

Okay. You may put others' needs at a uh deciba. That's what it says.

SPEAKER_04

At a high decibel.

SPEAKER_07

At a high decibel. Kind of. You may put others' needs. Why is this difficult? I can't read. You may put others' needs ahead of your own and struggle with boundaries.

SPEAKER_04

Ah, okay. That makes more sense, actually. Maybe.

SPEAKER_07

My career.

SPEAKER_04

If you had one.

SPEAKER_07

If I ever had a career, this would be it. Yeah. Looking into the future when I grow up. Astrologically, careers that combine communication, planning, creativity, and leadership fit your chart well, such as production or project management. Yeah, okay. Event management, media or television, education or training, okay, marketing or communications, which is not really something I like to do, but it is there. Okay. Gonna talk about love.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_07

Okay. I likely value. Deep emotional connection. Honest conversation. Okay, sometimes, not always. I like to avoid conversations, maybe.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

A partner who gives you both security and freedom to grow. Yeah, okay. The next year. Astrologic astrologer astrologers, right? Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

That's a word.

SPEAKER_07

It is.

SPEAKER_04

Plural.

SPEAKER_07

Astrologers would say this is a period of building long-term stability, developing new professional skills, and letting go of goals that no longer fit you. Creating a stronger foundation for your future rather than chasing quick results. Okay. Well, that was fun.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Let's talk about you.

SPEAKER_04

Okay.

SPEAKER_07

I put in your birthday and the time you were born and where you were born, and I got these results.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_07

Here's a traditional astrological reading of Matias.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_07

Okay. Your son is in Pisces. That means you are, uh, probably compassionate, imaginative, and empathetic. That sound about right?

SPEAKER_04

I don't know.

SPEAKER_07

No. Okay.

SPEAKER_04

None of the above. I don't know. What what would you say?

SPEAKER_07

Imaginative.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, I guess.

SPEAKER_07

Compassionate when you want to be.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

I guess. Pisces are often creative, emotionally aware, and drawn to music, storytelling, or helping others.

SPEAKER_04

Okay. I mean, music and storytelling, yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Okay.

SPEAKER_04

Helping others? Sometimes.

SPEAKER_07

Here's some bad news. Your moon is likely in cancer.

SPEAKER_05

Oh no.

SPEAKER_07

I think your moons have cancer.

SPEAKER_05

Moon cancer.

SPEAKER_07

Have you tried going to the doctor?

SPEAKER_05

Is that cancer in the ass?

SPEAKER_07

Yeah. You have butt cancer. And uh that's a problem. You should probably fix that before it gets worse. Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Uh stop mooning.

SPEAKER_07

No one wants to see that. That's gross.

SPEAKER_05

I don't want to see your cancer.

SPEAKER_07

No. Okay. So this means butt cancer means you're nurturing, protective, and deeply loyal. This placement often indicates someone who forms strong emotional bonds and values close close friendships. I don't know what I was about to say there. Close friendships and family.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_07

You like these things. Okay. And then you have likely cancer rising. More cancer. All over. You're not okay.

SPEAKER_03

No.

SPEAKER_07

Okay. Which means you are gentle and approachable on the outside, but cautious about who gets to know the real person underneath. People may naturally trust you.

SPEAKER_04

So few people get to know my real person. Yeah. Sounds about right.

SPEAKER_07

You sound about right. I'd say so.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah. Okay.

SPEAKER_04

Few people know it.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, because they don't get to know it.

SPEAKER_04

No, exactly.

SPEAKER_07

That's how it should be.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Uh your personality. Matias's chart suggests someone who has a vivid imagination, cares deeply about the people in his life, prefers meaningful conversations over small talk.

SPEAKER_03

Uh-huh.

SPEAKER_07

Which, yeah, sounds about right. How often do you enjoy small talk?

SPEAKER_04

Not very often.

SPEAKER_07

Okay. You'd rather just not say anything at all.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Let's just sit here in silence, please. Um. Is intuitive and often picks up on other people's moods.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, maybe.

SPEAKER_07

Do you think you can read me when something's wrong?

SPEAKER_04

I think so.

SPEAKER_07

You think so? Okay. Um, one challenge for Pisces cancer energy is that it can be easy to absorb other people's emotions, making it important to set healthy boundaries. Okay, your career. We're gonna talk about this. Okay. We need to fix something. Astrologically, I said it this time.

SPEAKER_03

Cool.

SPEAKER_07

He may you, you, Matias, may thrive in roles involving creative work like writing, media, music, and design, teaching or mentoring. Counseling or support roles. Like supporting people, not like supporting roles in the movie.

SPEAKER_04

Uh yeah.

SPEAKER_07

You could either be a counselor or play supporting roles.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

These are your options. Okay. Um, project work where collaboration is valued. In other words, you would rely heavily on other people. They can do the work and you can take the credits, right? Are you one of those people?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Okay. Were you that kid in group projects where you just like sat there and let everyone else do the work and then sat there and nodded your head? It's like, yep, sounds about right.

SPEAKER_04

Maybe. I remember like uh having like the worst grades. Grades, yeah. Uh, on like all my tests except for the group tests. Yes. And I'm like, uh, I can see a pattern here. So yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah. I feel like I was I was kind of that person who let everyone else do the work, but I felt bad about it, so I kind of tried it every now and then. But like I I don't think I gave that much input. I would do the drawings and stuff. Okay. But that's it.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

I wouldn't write that much.

SPEAKER_04

No. And I just assume I I suck at everything. So it would just ruin everything.

SPEAKER_07

You guys understand this way more than I do. So I I tell me what to do, I'll do it. Yeah. But I'm not gonna come up with any answers. Okay. Your relationships.

SPEAKER_04

Okay. You if I ever had one.

SPEAKER_07

If you ever had a relationship, this is what you're looking for.

SPEAKER_04

Okay.

SPEAKER_07

Okay. Here's the answers that you're looking for. You are looking for emotional safety and trust, loyalty over excitement. So nothing too exciting.

SPEAKER_03

No, okay.

SPEAKER_07

A partner and friends who are honest and dependable. I mean, who doesn't want that? This is very gin general for everyone. I feel like anyone would want any of this. You're just one of everyone else.

SPEAKER_04

You want good people in the world.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah? What? When you trust someone, you tend to be very devoted. Comparing us two, uh our charts have some interesting complementary qualities. So I bring ideas, curiosity, and communication, while you bring empathy, imagination, and emotional depth. Do you though? Okay. Gemini and Pisces approach the world differently. Gemini tends to analyze while Pisces tends to feel, but that difference can work well if both people appreciate each other's strengths. Can I appreciate your strengths?

SPEAKER_04

I don't know. Can you?

SPEAKER_07

Sometimes I can appreciate your height. Yeah. Which I guess could be a strength. But I don't think that has anything to do with your personality.

SPEAKER_03

No.

SPEAKER_07

Sorry. I only like your physical being, and that's it.

SPEAKER_04

You don't appreciate my personality.

SPEAKER_07

No.

SPEAKER_04

No, okay.

SPEAKER_07

I like your body. Because you're tall. Yeah. And you can reach the snacks from the snack shelf.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, good.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Well, then I keep the snacks too.

SPEAKER_07

That's That's that's a challenge.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Because then you can hold the snacks above my head and I can't reach. Still.

SPEAKER_04

So then And then you get sad and We're fighting. Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

That's how it is. That's just how it is.

SPEAKER_04

This is every movie night, by the way.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah. This happens weekly. Uh both of us have charts that emphasize creativity and communication, which fits well with something like the podcast. The one that we're doing right now. Yeah. Yeah. This one. You may naturally generate ideas and keep conversations moving while he, okay, you.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. I think I'm the he.

SPEAKER_07

You are the he. Okay. Obviously. Well, he may add emotional insight and imagination. That makes sense. That's kind of what this is, I guess.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. Maybe.

SPEAKER_07

Uh astrology.

SPEAKER_04

You also have uh you also provide that though.

SPEAKER_07

Sometimes.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, with the history lessons and everything.

SPEAKER_07

If I ever come up with something. Yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

And then I kind of help you in in some ways.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

So it's more like collaborating.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, I guess so.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. It's like a group test.

SPEAKER_07

We kind of rely on each other to get the thing done.

SPEAKER_04

We both suck, but we still get something.

SPEAKER_07

Yep. Uh let's see. Astrology can't determine whether a relationship or friendship will succeed. But many astrologers would say your charts suggest a connection that can be inspiring and supportive. Especially when you communicate openly and respect your different ways of processing the world. The end.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, that that's true. We are kind of different, but uh as long as we respect each other's point of view, it'll be fine. Everything will be fine.

SPEAKER_07

I guess. Maybe.

SPEAKER_04

Maybe. Who knows? Maybe not.

SPEAKER_07

Do you have questions or should I come up with something else?

SPEAKER_04

Come up with something else.

SPEAKER_07

Okay. What are

Compatibility Challenges Head Versus Heart

SPEAKER_07

some challenges we can face based on our astrologies? Astrologies.

SPEAKER_05

Ostriches.

SPEAKER_07

Ostriches.

SPEAKER_05

Based on ostriches.

SPEAKER_07

Okay. So number one is head versus heart. Okay. So me, the Gemini, tend to process things by thinking, talking, and analyzing. Uh and I may want to discuss a problem immediately.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_07

We can relate. Yeah. Okay. Matias, which is you, the Pisces, tends to process through emotions and intuition, and you may need time alone before talking. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

This can create a cycle where you feel he, which is you in this situation. He's withdrawing while he feels pressured to respond before he's ready. Can you relate?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Okay. Number two. Logic versus feelings. The Gemini, which is me, often asks, does this make sense? And then you, the Pisces, often ask, how does this feel?

SPEAKER_04

Okay.

SPEAKER_07

Okay, sure. In disagreement, I might focus on facts while you focus on emotional impact. Neither approach is wrong, they're just different.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. I don't know.

SPEAKER_07

I don't uh uh I don't think I uh absorbed anything there. Number three, unless you did, and you have something to say.

SPEAKER_04

Well, I'm I'm thinking I we're both kind of you know emotional people who are not just logic. I wouldn't say that one is just logic and the other one's emotional. I think both are kind of emotional.

SPEAKER_07

That makes sense.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, I don't know.

SPEAKER_07

I think you're right.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Number three is communication. Gemini energy enjoys variety and quick conversations. Uh so this is taking too long.

SPEAKER_04

Okay.

SPEAKER_07

Apparently. Because I'd rather this conversation was over already. Okay. According to this. Yeah. Not what I'm actually thinking.

SPEAKER_04

No, because I'm the one who likes long conversation, that that doesn't No. I don't know. I let you continue.

SPEAKER_07

Okay. Pisces energy can communicate indirectly or avoid conflict if they're worried about hurting someone. Okay. An astrologer might suggest making sure expectations are stated clearly instead of assuming the other person just knows. Okay. Number four.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_07

Boundaries. Pisces is often described as compassionate to the point of taking on other people's burdens. I don't know. Don't look at me. Gemini can unintentionally keep conversations going by exploring every angle.

SPEAKER_04

I don't take other people's burdens.

SPEAKER_07

No.

SPEAKER_04

I don't think so. No, not really. No. Okay.

SPEAKER_07

No. Together. Well, let me just finish whatever it says and then we can leave it. Okay? Together that could mean talking about problems without reaching a conclusion and carrying emotional weight for each other instead of solving what's actually within your control. We'll just cross that out. Yeah, whatever. Number five, different sources of motivation. I may become energized by new ideas, new projects, and learning something different. While Matthias may be more motivated by inspiration, emotional connection, and feeling that something has deeper meaning. Meaning.

SPEAKER_05

Deeper meetings.

SPEAKER_07

Deeper meetings. This meeting could be deeper.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Let's get to that point.

SPEAKER_04

Deeper.

SPEAKER_07

Deeper. Let's go deeper. Oh my goodness.

SPEAKER_04

Like a submarine. Maybe a yellow one.

SPEAKER_07

I might think that you're procrastinating while you might think that I'm moving too quickly.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Whoa.

SPEAKER_04

That sounds about right.

SPEAKER_07

Maybe. Okay, so there's some strengths that balance those challenges, which I don't really want to talk about. So uh uh that's all. That's all I want to say about that. Uh, one thing that stands out, based on the birth information that I shared, neither chart suggests a relationship that's doomed or perfect. It's somewhere in the middle.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Imperfect. But I mean, not terrible.

SPEAKER_03

No.

SPEAKER_07

Astrologers would be more likely to say that your compatibility depends on how well you appreciate your differences. Appreciate your differences. The biggest recurring theme is communication styles. Learning when to explain, when to listen, and when to give each other space. What do you think about that?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. Yes. Yeah, I I feel like maybe that's that's a good way to look at it, I guess. What do you think?

SPEAKER_07

I feel like it's 90% accurate. 85.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. Not all of it, but yeah. Oh yeah. Yeah. That's all.

SPEAKER_07

Feel good?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

What’s Ruining Our Lives And Goodbye

SPEAKER_07

Alright. Well then as we reach the end of the episode.

SPEAKER_04

Reach it.

SPEAKER_07

I'm reaching it. I'm reaching the end of the episode. Uh would you please tell me what is ruining your life?

SPEAKER_04

What is ruining my life? Uh vacation.

SPEAKER_07

You have nothing to do.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

All this time, nothing to do. What now? What's next?

SPEAKER_04

I feel like uh things not going as planned.

SPEAKER_07

I'm sorry. Oh my god, it's all my fault.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. No. No, it's not just you. It's more things planned that doesn't seem to work out, you know. I and yeah, that's sad. Okay. I I wish more things could go as planned, but uh you know, it is what it is. Yeah. And uh yeah. How about you? What's ruining your life?

SPEAKER_07

My body. Always. Okay. Always. I mean, I'm just so uncomfortable all the time, it feels like. I don't know. Traveling ruins my body.

SPEAKER_04

Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_07

I guess.

SPEAKER_04

And it ruins your life.

SPEAKER_07

It does. It ruins my life.

SPEAKER_04

And you still have a lot of traveling in front of you.

SPEAKER_07

Yes. Yeah. I've got a couple more trips this summer.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Next one is next week. Yeah. So I will see you on Thursday.

SPEAKER_04

Yes.

SPEAKER_07

Mm-hmm. Alright.

SPEAKER_04

Movie day.

SPEAKER_07

Movie day. Yeah. Alright. Are you all out of sips? Oh my goodness. Did you have to?

SPEAKER_04

Let's say I'm all out of sips.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, I'm also gonna say I'm out of sips because if I take one more sip, I'm probably gonna pee myself.

SPEAKER_04

Okay.

SPEAKER_07

I've peed at least ten times today.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

And that means we're all out of episode.

SPEAKER_07

That's exactly what it means.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Gotta zoom through this before I start peeing myself.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Alright, well, thank you for listening. If you made it this far, uh please uh follow us so that you can catch the next episode. Yeah. Comes out on Tuesday. As always. Anything else?
