We start with a very real debate about the best place to park your phone while cooking and why the fridge is underrated when you’re trying to follow recipes without splashes, neck strain, or that annoying “look straight down” posture. It’s a small-gadget chat that turns into something bigger: how tiny bits of home organization can make daily routines smoother.
Next we get into laptop aesthetics and the deep need to cover a dent with a sticker, partly to protect it and partly to make it feel “right” again. We talk through the practical risk of bubbling over imperfections and the emotional side of wanting your stuff to look cool in a room full of identical devices. Then reality interrupts, literally, and we end up swapping stories about vacation exhaustion, procrastination, laundry delays, and the dishwasher hack where you only unload what you need and call it progress.
The back half goes full household comedy: episode-number schemes, Minecraft troubleshooting, a running bit about losing “dad powers,” and a “ghost opened the door” moment that somehow leads into bedtime-story choices and a clean explanation of empathy vs sympathy. If you like conversational podcasts that blend everyday life, parenting humor, and simple insights that stick, you’ll feel right at home with us.
Subscribe for more, share this with a friend who’s also dodging chores, and leave a review letting us know: what tiny upgrade or ridiculous household hack has actually improved your life?

Mic Check And Magnetic Phone Joy
SPEAKER_02We re are we?
SPEAKER_01We are recording.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but are we set up?
SPEAKER_01I don't know. I haven't checked.
SPEAKER_02Should I more job? No, it looks better. It looks the same.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it looks the same. It doesn't matter. No. Uh yeah.
SPEAKER_02Very cool. Is this magnetic?
SPEAKER_01Yep.
SPEAKER_02I don't think I have anything metal in here.
SPEAKER_01Uh what about the knife?
SPEAKER_02Oh, the knife is metal. That's right. Maybe slightly. This feels really dangerous. Maybe I should put the knife back in the slot. Kind of. It's got a slight magnet. Yeah. That makes me so happy. I used to have the magnetic. Yeah, I remember. You remember that?
SPEAKER_01Yeah. You put it on the fridge.
SPEAKER_02Everything. And it was the best thing ever, except for at the gym. Well, it was really cool at the gym because I I could take it out of my pocket and it wouldn't get all sweaty. I'll just stick it on the machine. And then I'd get up and walk away.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01But I remember you putting on the fridge.
SPEAKER_02Yes. That was the best thing. Because then I could like see uh the recipes and stuff on the fridge. Yeah. I guess it works just as well if you put it on the counter. But I I liked having it on the fridge. It's uh a nice place to put a phone.
SPEAKER_01On the counter, it's it's uh it feels more in the risk zone of getting that too. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And then you have to like splashed or you have to look straight down to see what you're reading or whatever.
SPEAKER_01And you just look look down.
SPEAKER_02That's annoying.
SPEAKER_01Down and dumb.
SPEAKER_02Down and dumb. Yeah. I don't like that.
SPEAKER_01No.
SPEAKER_02I don't like doing that. So yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02So I'm I'm pretty happy about that.
Covering A Laptop Dent With Style
SPEAKER_02Good. I also got um like a sticker kind of thing for the laptop up here.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_02It's not like a case, but it's just a sticker to make it look cool. Because it it has like a little dent, it looks like, on the back side there, or the top, or whatever you want to call it.
SPEAKER_01The the sticker or the no, the the computer itself.
SPEAKER_02It looks like it has a little dent.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_02And you know, that's not perfection.
SPEAKER_01No.
SPEAKER_02It's imperfection. So I need to cover it up with uh sticker. Sticker.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Then it's perfect. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And it'll look cool as well. Okay. And then it's gonna stick out in a classroom full of boring computers. Mine is gonna be the cool one.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Because it has a cool sticker. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Doesn't even look dented.
SPEAKER_02I hope not.
SPEAKER_01Or maybe it does.
SPEAKER_02It might still look tent tent dented.
SPEAKER_01Tinted.
SPEAKER_02Tinted, but you'll be distracted by the rest of the sticker.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, okay.
SPEAKER_02Be like, oh, it's still cool.
SPEAKER_01Where's the dent?
SPEAKER_02It's it's here.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_02I can't really show you.
SPEAKER_01No, no, you can't. But uh okay. It's there.
SPEAKER_02You have to trust me.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. It's not like top or it's more on the It's like somewhere in the middle. Yeah, okay.
SPEAKER_02Not on the logo, but like off to the side of the logo, kind of. But if you in that area where it's supposed to be flat.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. But if you put a sticker over it, doesn't it look like a bubble then?
SPEAKER_02Maybe.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, maybe.
SPEAKER_02We're gonna find out.
SPEAKER_01We'll see.
SPEAKER_02Yep.
SPEAKER_01Unless you burst the bubble and then you see the dent plus the sticker.
SPEAKER_02Or if I put like some kind of caulk or something to fill the hole.
Visitors, Vacation Chaos, And Chores
SPEAKER_01Someone's at the door.
SPEAKER_02I was good and then I went to your place.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And then everything went downhill from there.
SPEAKER_01I was also there.
SPEAKER_02Whoa. You okay? What was what was that? Okay.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I was also there, so.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. We were kind of giving each other things to eat. Yeah. And yeah. Hey. Yeah. Goodbye.
SPEAKER_00Goodbye, just I don't know what you just said.
SPEAKER_01No.
SPEAKER_02But okay.
SPEAKER_01I'm sure it was important.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01You have to ask him later.
SPEAKER_02What'd you say? Like, what? What are you talking about?
SPEAKER_01No, an hour ago when you left.
SPEAKER_02You said something.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02What did you say? Don't keep any secrets from me. I'm your mother. Did you notice that I put a title on the last episode?
SPEAKER_01No. I didn't.
SPEAKER_02You did nothing with that. No. You did your editing and then you just ignored it. Yeah. Ignored it. It's good you trust me.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I uh I I had a lot. I've been busy. I've been on vacation. I've been busy.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Vacation is exhausting.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02You haven't been home at all? Except for last night.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. No.
SPEAKER_02That's it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I'm going to Yadmori tomorrow. That's that. Yeah. Yeah. I guess. Oh. I haven't packed.
SPEAKER_01No.
SPEAKER_02I haven't even done my laundry this week.
SPEAKER_01You you don't pack nowadays.
SPEAKER_02I don't. Oh my gosh. I had like the entire week to do laundry and to keep up with the dishes and everything. And I I didn't.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I have laundry and dishes waiting at home.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. I did uh Axel's laundry. He required two loads of laundry because that's how much that I've been procrastinating with his clothes.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_02And uh the second load was done maybe Monday or Tuesday. And I just folded it yesterday.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Wednesday.
SPEAKER_01I haven't uh even uh done your laundry since you moved in. No, I haven't even, you know, cleared the dishwasher since last time I so there are still things in there. Clean things, but I haven't taken them out. Just if I need something, it's like okay, there it is.
SPEAKER_02It's clean.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02So you might as well. Technically, you're still emptying the dishwasher if you do that. So you can feel like you've done something.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I took one thing out of the dishwasher.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. And made it dirty.
SPEAKER_02Or for the next time. Exactly. Are we just trying to end it sooner by hopping over
Episode Numbers And The “Bonus 185”
SPEAKER_02one episode?
SPEAKER_01We can um fool the people that we're and that it's gonna be the last one, and then we'd do 185 after that. 185 as a bonus.
SPEAKER_02Bonus 185. The one that we never did.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01It's oh oh yeah, that that's like the worst. That's the worst one. We can just go all out on that one.
SPEAKER_02I guess so. Yeah. Or like we can do 200 like normal and then have the 185 live, and we'll just yeah. One 185 live because it rhymes.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. We can do that.
SPEAKER_02180 live mad libs. Yeah. Because cool. Yeah. Okay.
SPEAKER_01180 uh live mad libs. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02180th. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I like it.
SPEAKER_02We'll see what happens. We'll see what I have time

SPEAKER_00Lord I mean uh Minecraft.
SPEAKER_02In your bag. In the front pocket. Front pocket. Front pocket. Get out of here. Here you go. Have my fingers sweat.

SPEAKER_02Okay. I don't know how to help you. Good.

SPEAKER_02They need internets. Maybe we'll fix internets later. No one. We don't have to.
SPEAKER_00Intranet.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, intranets.
SPEAKER_00No, not intranet. Intranet.
SPEAKER_02Oh, intranet. Just the one.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, singular.
SPEAKER_02Singular intranet. Goodbye.

SPEAKER_02No.
SPEAKER_01Okay. No. What happened to that guy? He lost his voice.
SPEAKER_02So he's not a dad anymore. He lost his dad powers because that was the only power he had. Hello.
SPEAKER_00And we have to get and we have to try to pull the button out. It's not sticking in.
SPEAKER_02Do you have a dad?
SPEAKER_00It's not going in on it's not.
SPEAKER_02Okay. No. No. All the dad power goes away if you lose your voice.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_02Then you're just a lump in front of the computer.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Hey, lump.
SPEAKER_02He's lump. He's lump. Lump. Okay.
SPEAKER_01Okay, I think it's your turn to talk this time.
SPEAKER_02Can you do it backwards? Kind of very warm. Thank you.
SPEAKER_01Synchronized almost.

SPEAKER_01You rather want that.
SPEAKER_02Well, you are deciding.
SPEAKER_01Okay. I'll take the owl.
SPEAKER_02Okay. Or someone completely else.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_02We can go with the owl. Yeah, okay. If you have nothing else.
SPEAKER_01It's okay.
SPEAKER_02My face is drenched.
SPEAKER_01Because of the poor fox.
SPEAKER_02The poor fox. He dropped his fingertip.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. You shouldn't tell this story to your youngest.
SPEAKER_02Oh, sick child.
SPEAKER_01Empathy. What's the difference between those?
SPEAKER_02Um, sympathy and empathy. Yeah. Sympathy is feeling bad.
SPEAKER_01Oh.
SPEAKER_02Mainly. Empathy is sharing the feeling. Like, like, I get it. I I get how you're feeling. It's like an the difference is like I understand and I feel bad.
