A phone that snaps onto a magnet shouldn’t feel like a life upgrade, but somehow it does. We start with a very real debate about the best place to park your phone while cooking and why the fridge is underrated when you’re trying to follow recipes without splashes, neck strain, or that annoying “look straight down” posture. It’s a small-gadget chat that turns into something bigger: how tiny bits of home organization can make daily routines smoother.

Next we get into laptop aesthetics and the deep need to cover a dent with a sticker, partly to protect it and partly to make it feel “right” again. We talk through the practical risk of bubbling over imperfections and the emotional side of wanting your stuff to look cool in a room full of identical devices. Then reality interrupts, literally, and we end up swapping stories about vacation exhaustion, procrastination, laundry delays, and the dishwasher hack where you only unload what you need and call it progress.

The back half goes full household comedy: episode-number schemes, Minecraft troubleshooting, a running bit about losing “dad powers,” and a “ghost opened the door” moment that somehow leads into bedtime-story choices and a clean explanation of empathy vs sympathy. If you like conversational podcasts that blend everyday life, parenting humor, and simple insights that stick, you’ll feel right at home with us.

Subscribe for more, share this with a friend who’s also dodging chores, and leave a review letting us know: what tiny upgrade or ridiculous household hack has actually improved your life?

Mic Check And Magnetic Phone Joy

SPEAKER_02

We re are we?

SPEAKER_01

We are recording.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, but are we set up?

SPEAKER_01

I don't know. I haven't checked.

SPEAKER_02

Should I more job? No, it looks better. It looks the same.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it looks the same. It doesn't matter. No. Uh yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Very cool. Is this magnetic?

SPEAKER_01

Yep.

SPEAKER_02

I don't think I have anything metal in here.

SPEAKER_01

Uh what about the knife?

SPEAKER_02

Oh, the knife is metal. That's right. Maybe slightly. This feels really dangerous. Maybe I should put the knife back in the slot. Kind of. It's got a slight magnet. Yeah. That makes me so happy. I used to have the magnetic. Yeah, I remember. You remember that?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. You put it on the fridge.

SPEAKER_02

Everything. And it was the best thing ever, except for at the gym. Well, it was really cool at the gym because I I could take it out of my pocket and it wouldn't get all sweaty. I'll just stick it on the machine. And then I'd get up and walk away.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

But I remember you putting on the fridge.

SPEAKER_02

Yes. That was the best thing. Because then I could like see uh the recipes and stuff on the fridge. Yeah. I guess it works just as well if you put it on the counter. But I I liked having it on the fridge. It's uh a nice place to put a phone.

SPEAKER_01

On the counter, it's it's uh it feels more in the risk zone of getting that too. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And then you have to like splashed or you have to look straight down to see what you're reading or whatever.

SPEAKER_01

And you just look look down.

SPEAKER_02

That's annoying.

SPEAKER_01

Down and dumb.

SPEAKER_02

Down and dumb. Yeah. I don't like that.

SPEAKER_01

No.

SPEAKER_02

I don't like doing that. So yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

So I'm I'm pretty happy about that.

Covering A Laptop Dent With Style

SPEAKER_02

Good. I also got um like a sticker kind of thing for the laptop up here.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

It's not like a case, but it's just a sticker to make it look cool. Because it it has like a little dent, it looks like, on the back side there, or the top, or whatever you want to call it.

SPEAKER_01

The the sticker or the no, the the computer itself.

SPEAKER_02

It looks like it has a little dent.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

And you know, that's not perfection.

SPEAKER_01

No.

SPEAKER_02

It's imperfection. So I need to cover it up with uh sticker. Sticker.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Then it's perfect. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And it'll look cool as well. Okay. And then it's gonna stick out in a classroom full of boring computers. Mine is gonna be the cool one.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Because it has a cool sticker. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Doesn't even look dented.

SPEAKER_02

I hope not.

SPEAKER_01

Or maybe it does.

SPEAKER_02

It might still look tent tent dented.

SPEAKER_01

Tinted.

SPEAKER_02

Tinted, but you'll be distracted by the rest of the sticker.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, okay.

SPEAKER_02

Be like, oh, it's still cool.

SPEAKER_01

Where's the dent?

SPEAKER_02

It's it's here.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

I can't really show you.

SPEAKER_01

No, no, you can't. But uh okay. It's there.

SPEAKER_02

You have to trust me.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. It's not like top or it's more on the It's like somewhere in the middle. Yeah, okay.

SPEAKER_02

Not on the logo, but like off to the side of the logo, kind of. But if you in that area where it's supposed to be flat.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. But if you put a sticker over it, doesn't it look like a bubble then?

SPEAKER_02

Maybe.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, maybe.

SPEAKER_02

We're gonna find out.

SPEAKER_01

We'll see.

SPEAKER_02

Yep.

SPEAKER_01

Unless you burst the bubble and then you see the dent plus the sticker.

SPEAKER_02

Or if I put like some kind of caulk or something to fill the hole.

Visitors, Vacation Chaos, And Chores

SPEAKER_01

Someone's at the door.

SPEAKER_02

I was good and then I went to your place.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And then everything went downhill from there.

SPEAKER_01

I was also there.

SPEAKER_02

Whoa. You okay? What was what was that? Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I was also there, so.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. We were kind of giving each other things to eat. Yeah. And yeah. Hey. Yeah. Goodbye.

SPEAKER_00

Goodbye, just I don't know what you just said.

SPEAKER_01

No.

SPEAKER_02

But okay.

SPEAKER_01

I'm sure it was important.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

You have to ask him later.

SPEAKER_02

What'd you say? Like, what? What are you talking about?

SPEAKER_01

No, an hour ago when you left.

SPEAKER_02

You said something.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

What did you say? Don't keep any secrets from me. I'm your mother. Did you notice that I put a title on the last episode?

SPEAKER_01

No. I didn't.

SPEAKER_02

You did nothing with that. No. You did your editing and then you just ignored it. Yeah. Ignored it. It's good you trust me.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. I uh I I had a lot. I've been busy. I've been on vacation. I've been busy.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Vacation is exhausting.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

You haven't been home at all? Except for last night.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. No.

SPEAKER_02

That's it.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

I'm going to Yadmori tomorrow. That's that. Yeah. Yeah. I guess. Oh. I haven't packed.

SPEAKER_01

No.

SPEAKER_02

I haven't even done my laundry this week.

SPEAKER_01

You you don't pack nowadays.

SPEAKER_02

I don't. Oh my gosh. I had like the entire week to do laundry and to keep up with the dishes and everything. And I I didn't.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I have laundry and dishes waiting at home.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. I did uh Axel's laundry. He required two loads of laundry because that's how much that I've been procrastinating with his clothes.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

And uh the second load was done maybe Monday or Tuesday. And I just folded it yesterday.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Wednesday.

SPEAKER_01

I haven't uh even uh done your laundry since you moved in. No, I haven't even, you know, cleared the dishwasher since last time I so there are still things in there. Clean things, but I haven't taken them out. Just if I need something, it's like okay, there it is.

SPEAKER_02

It's clean.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

So you might as well. Technically, you're still emptying the dishwasher if you do that. So you can feel like you've done something.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

I took one thing out of the dishwasher.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. And made it dirty.

SPEAKER_02

Or for the next time. Exactly. Are we just trying to end it sooner by hopping over

Episode Numbers And The “Bonus 185”

SPEAKER_02

one episode?

SPEAKER_01

We can um fool the people that we're and that it's gonna be the last one, and then we'd do 185 after that. 185 as a bonus.

SPEAKER_02

Bonus 185. The one that we never did.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

It's oh oh yeah, that that's like the worst. That's the worst one. We can just go all out on that one.

SPEAKER_02

I guess so. Yeah. Or like we can do 200 like normal and then have the 185 live, and we'll just yeah. One 185 live because it rhymes.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. We can do that.

SPEAKER_02

180 live mad libs. Yeah. Because cool. Yeah. Okay.

SPEAKER_01

180 uh live mad libs. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

180th. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I like it.

SPEAKER_02

We'll see what happens. We'll see what I have time

Minecraft Help And “Dad Powers” Lore

SPEAKER_02

for. Mom. Hi.

SPEAKER_00

Lord I mean uh Minecraft.

SPEAKER_02

In your bag. In the front pocket. Front pocket. Front pocket. Get out of here. Here you go. Have my fingers sweat.

SPEAKER_01

Thank you.

SPEAKER_02

You're welcome. You can do exactly what I was doing. No. It doesn't go there. You want my finger sweat there? No. Ew. Well, I guess it's located, I guess. Good.

SPEAKER_00

Now said I'm funging.

SPEAKER_02

Okay. I don't know how to help you. Good.

SPEAKER_00

Good. They need internet, I think.

SPEAKER_02

They need internets. Maybe we'll fix internets later. No one. We don't have to.

SPEAKER_00

Intranet.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, intranets.

SPEAKER_00

No, not intranet. Intranet.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, intranet. Just the one.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, singular.

SPEAKER_02

Singular intranet. Goodbye.

SPEAKER_01

Doesn't he have a dad?

SPEAKER_02

No.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. No. What happened to that guy? He lost his voice.

SPEAKER_02

So he's not a dad anymore. He lost his dad powers because that was the only power he had. Hello.

SPEAKER_00

And we have to get and we have to try to pull the button out. It's not sticking in.

SPEAKER_02

Do you have a dad?

SPEAKER_00

It's not going in on it's not.

SPEAKER_02

Okay. No. No. All the dad power goes away if you lose your voice.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

Then you're just a lump in front of the computer.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Hey, lump.

SPEAKER_02

He's lump. He's lump. Lump. Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, I think it's your turn to talk this time.

SPEAKER_02

Can you do it backwards? Kind of very warm. Thank you.

SPEAKER_01

Synchronized almost.

Ghost Doors, Bedtime Stories, And Empathy

SPEAKER_02

A ghost just opened the door. Was that you? Was that you or I said? I said you say. Are you talking in the microphone without me?

SPEAKER_01

No.

SPEAKER_02

Are you telling secrets?

SPEAKER_01

No.

SPEAKER_02

Good itchy.

SPEAKER_01

Can we ask it uh open eyes to tell a good night story? Yeah. That we can read for the people. It was in cumla, so I don't know if you wanted to go there.

SPEAKER_02

Let's see what I can do here. Oh my gosh. Sorry, hold on.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. Am I pausing?

SPEAKER_02

You can if you want it.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

Was she also in the new fame or no?

SPEAKER_01

Maybe. I don't. I'm not sure. Maybe she was. I forgot so much about that movie. I don't think for it. No. It was such a forgettable movie this one.

SPEAKER_02

Sorry, not sorry. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Um so yeah, but unless you have a better option.

SPEAKER_02

Um. So light they oh. Sorry. You don't want the dragon who catches the place on fire.

SPEAKER_01

You rather want that.

SPEAKER_02

Well, you are deciding.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. I'll take the owl.

SPEAKER_02

Okay. Or someone completely else.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

We can go with the owl. Yeah, okay. If you have nothing else.

SPEAKER_01

It's okay.

SPEAKER_02

My face is drenched.

SPEAKER_01

Because of the poor fox.

SPEAKER_02

The poor fox. He dropped his fingertip.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. You shouldn't tell this story to your youngest.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, sick child.

SPEAKER_01

Empathy. What's the difference between those?

SPEAKER_02

Um, sympathy and empathy. Yeah. Sympathy is feeling bad.

SPEAKER_01

Oh.

SPEAKER_02

Mainly. Empathy is sharing the feeling. Like, like, I get it. I I get how you're feeling. It's like an the difference is like I understand and I feel bad.

SPEAKER_01

Feeling bad for the fox.

SPEAKER_02

I forgot. I Yeah. Hello. It's Kisnacoka. Hello. Hello. Bye-bye. Okay. Um

Stuck On Numbers And Final Plans

SPEAKER_02

SPEAKER_01

We can break the news on 95 because we're so stuck on numbers. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Why not?
